WWE News: Mixed Tag Match Announced For Hell In A Cell

Published

on

Tonight’s edition of SmackDown Live kicked off with The Miz and Maryse making their way to the ring, following Miz’s big win over Daniel Bryan at SummerSlam on Sunday.

‘The A-Lister’ would begin by mockingly announcing his retirement…from facing Daniel Bryan again, claiming that he proved all he needed to on Sunday, but not surprisingly leaving out the fact that it took a pair of brass knuckles handed to him by Maryse to get the victory. Of course, this would lead to Bryan making his way out, repeatedly calling The Miz a coward.

Maryse would put her two cents in, telling Bryan to retire again and thinking he may as well change his name to “Daniel Bella”. While Bryan wouldn’t offer a retort, it was because he didn’t need to as his wife, Brie Bella sprinted her way to the ring to get her hands on Maryse, who had escaped to the outside. This left Miz all by himself to eat a number of right hands from Brie before being clotheslined over the top rope by Bryan, who then announced they would meet one more time at Hell In A Cell on September 16th when he teams with Brie to face Miz and Maryse.

Mike Santana Holds Off Steve Maclin to Retain TNA World Championship on IMPACT

Published

on

In a high-profile rematch on this week’s IMPACT, Mike Santana successfully retained the TNA World Championship against Steve Maclin. The victory keeps Santana at the top of the title picture and prevents Maclin from reclaiming the gold in a hard-fought encounter that maintained Santana’s momentum as champion.

Santana’s win raises questions about the next challenger and whether Maclin will get another opportunity to climb back into title contention. For now, Santana’s reign continues, and the TNA World Championship scene remains wide open as IMPACT moves forward.
