MLW News: Recent Rumors Surrounding Pentagon & Fenix To Be Used In Storyline

With all of the recent talk surrounding the futures of Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix, last week Major League Wrestling alluded to rumors of the brothers signing with WWE in the near future (see MLW referencing NXT here).

We also saw Pentagon address the speculation after a match for PCW Ultra, however it still remains a strong feeling that the duo is headed to the WWE once they’re able to. Of course, we’ve heard the brothers have been “elusive” in taking dates for 2019 and it’s now believed they will be finished with their Lucha Underground contracts by then. Additionally, PWInsider confirms that Pentagon and Fenix did in fact receive overtures from WWE, however it was done through intermediaries. Previously, it was just speculation that they had received offers and was also said that they had multiple seasons remaining on their Lucha Underground deals (read the initial report here).

As for MLW making reference to the rumors last week, PWInsider also notes the plan is to use the talk of Pentagon and Fenix jumping ship in storylines for MLW Fusion. So we can expect more teases in the coming weeks.
