We have a NEW Cruiserweight Champion in the Melbourne Superman, Buddy Murphy! What will the new champion have to say on day one of the JUGGERNAUT Era?

OFFICIAL RESULTS

  • Man of the Hour Open Challenge: Lio Rush VS ???; Lince Dorado wins, by disqualification.
  • Tony Nese VS Cedric Alexander; Nese wins.

PLAY BY PLAY

Super Show-Down’s Cruiserweight Championship match was an epic!

The Melbourne Juggernaut went toe to toe and move for move with the Age of Alexander. Buddy Murphy would shock Cedric time and again as he survived the champion’s biggest and best moves. And in the end, Murphy’s Law would bring the inevitable: a NEW Cruiserweight Champion!! The Age of Alexander ends and the Juggernaut Era begins, now!

Man of the Hour Open Challenge: Lio Rush VS ???

The 23 year old piece of gold is feeling really good. He’s not only the Manager of the Hour to the Rocky Mountain Machine, Bobby Lashley, but he’s still undefeated here on 205 Live. However, is he being too confident in himself to give a shot to anyone in the locker room?

Lio speaks before the match and asks if the fans “hear that”. Do they hear the ticking of the clock? That means it’s Lio’s time, that means it is #RushHour. That means at every minute is a moment to make someone famous. Lio wants to make someone in Indianapolis famous! He knows Indy loves those fast cars on that track, but no one and no thing faster than him. Lio gives one lucky individual the opportunity to prove him wrong. Who steps up to the plate? That person better come correct, because Lio came to collect. The superstar that answers the call is… Lucha House Party’s Lince Dorado! The Golden Lynx steps up to the 23 year old piece of gold, but which piece of gold will shine brighter?

The bell rings and Lio grins as he circles with Lince. Lio likes the lucha lucha, so Lince shows him it’s “Lucha! Lucha!” They tie up, and Lio gets a wristlock. Lince pushes, body shots, handsprings and reverses the wristlock. Lince wrenches, but Lio rolls, rolls and spins to roll Lince. Lio runs into an arm-drag but gives one back. They both go to arm-drag then both go to dropkick. The moves cancel out and they both handspring up. Fans like it, but Lio doesn’t as he clubs and punches Lince to ropes. Lince hits back but Lio whips. Lince reverses, things speed up and Lince gets a headscissor and dropkick! Lio backs off to a corner to then kick Lince away. Lio runs but into a backbreaker! Lince plank splashes, cover, ONE! Fans applaud and Lince starts up the “Lucha! Lucha!” again.

Lince gives Lio a European Uppercut, then a different uppercut. He gives Lio body shots but Lio puts him on the apron. Lince hits back and bumps Lio off buckles. Lince climbs but Lio handspring kicks Lince down. Lio builds speed to DIVE! Direct hit on Lince with the “low-pe”, and Lio refreshes the count to keep the fight on the outside. Lio stomps Lince then throws him into barriers. The ring count climbs and Lio gets Lince back in at 7. Lio covers, ONE. Lio grows frustrated as he kicks Lince to a corner. He stands Lince up to tweak the arms against the ropes. He throws hands on Lince then claws the back! Lio back suplexes Lince down, covers, TWO! Lince survives and Lio might actually respect him now. Lio mocks the “Kitty cat”, then puts on a bearhug.

Fans rally up as Lince moves around. They stand up, and Lince fights out as fans chant “Lucha! Lucha!” Lince rebounds but Lio ducks to fire off a strike fest! Lio continues to mock Lince but Lince hits him again. Lio rocks Lince with a right, then goes for the mask! Lince had enough of this with TJP, and he kicks Lio back. Lince gives uppercuts, restraps the mask, but runs into a dropkick! Lio grimaces but then grins again as he builds speed. But he runs into a big clothesline and kicks! Lince bobs ‘n’ weaves with Lio to hit him down again, then capoeria kick! Lio staggers into the swinging slam! Lince aims from across the way, corner to corner but Lio dodges. Lince’s up on the ropes and kicks Lio away.

Lio anchors a foot but Lince brings him up for fast hands. Lince says it’s time, for the big crossbody! Cover, TWO! Lio still lives, but Lince stalks him to the ropes. Lince grabs Lio’s legs but Lio grabs the ropes. The ref backs Lince off, but Lio mule kicks then heel kicks him. Lio stands Lince up and turns him around, to then spin him an extra 360 before the Unprettier! Cover, TWO!? Lio can’t believe it! Lince lives but Lio says now it’s time for him to end it. Lio climbs up top, but Lince rolls out of the drop zone. Lio hops down and walks over, but into a victory roll! Cover, TWO!! SUPERKICK! Lio sits down in a corner, so Lince prepares himself for “Lucha Time!” Lince hits the bronco buster!

Lince goes to whip Lio but Lio reverses, only to get a Golden Rewind! But Lio flounders all the way out of the ring, so Lince slingshot planchas onto him! Lince puts Lio back in and fans fire up as Lince climbs. But wait, is that.. Maria Kanellis?! And there’s MIKE! He shoves Lince right down!

Winner: Lince Dorado, by disqualification

The Man of the Hour gets some timely help from the returning Super Couple! Mike rains furious rights down on Lince while his lovely wife loves what she sees. She stands on the apron while Mike takes Lince for a spin with the twisting inverted DDT! Mr. & Mrs. Kanellis are back in a big way, but will their love conquer all in the Cruiserweight Division?

Buddy Murphy speaks.

The NEW Cruiserweight Champion said it before and will say it again: “You can’t stop the unstoppable.” And he proved it when he won at Super Show Down. But he won’t be live at 205 Live, because he stayed in Melbourne to celebrate. The champ will come back when he’s ready, but who will be ready for him when he returns?

Mustafa Ali talks with Cedric Alexander.

The Heart checks on the Soul, and both are good. Ali has his match with Hideo Itami in two weeks, Falls Count Anywhere. Itami is in for the fight of his life, but so is Ali. It will end one way or another. Alexander wishes Ali luck, but then Ali needs to say something. This match with Tony Nese is too soon. The Premier Athlete has been talking trash but Alexander must be a little off balance. But Alexander says he’ll just do what he does best, and he’ll send a message through Nese so loud, Murphy’s bound to hear it in Melbourne. Then Alexander will just use his rematch clause. Ali wishes Alexander luck, but does Ali have a point about this being too soon? Or will Alexander score big points on the road to his rematch?

Drew Gulak & Jack Gallagher speak.

After they cruelly kicked THE Brian Kendrick out of their alliance, G&G speak on how “difficult” the process is. The honorable thing is to address the situation immediately. Was it unpleasant? Maybe. But was necessary? Yes. Kendrick was once a champion who inspired Gallagher. Their partnership was built on being “scoundrels”, but even Gallagher could see the “painfully obvious”: Kendrick had grown sentimental. Gulak will not allow weakness to hinder their campaign. Gulak only regrets not ending the partnership sooner. But next week, they will remove another thorn in their side int he form of Akira Tozawa. The message is clear, no one will stand in the way of their #Better205Live. Thank you for your time. Will Gulak finally grind Tozawa into dust? Or will they regret removing the Man with a Plan from their ranks?

Tony Nese VS Cedric Alexander!

The Premier Athlete was not only proud of his fellow Body Guy for winning, but he was also getting in the face of the former champion a bit too much for Alexander’s liking. Will the Soul of 205 Live make the Abs of 205 Live eat his words? Or will the Age of Alexander have a hard time rebuilding after Super Show Down?

The bell rings and Alexander circles with his familiar foe. Fans are on Alexander’s side but Nese just flexes. They tie up and Alexander gets a headlock. Nese tries but can’t power out as Alexander holds tight. Nese tries again and gets free this time, but Alexander runs him over with a shoulder. Alexander runs and things speed up. Alexander rolls, handsprings, but Nese has seen that trick too many times. Fans applaud this even match-up and the two men circle again. They tie up and push each other. Nese gets a waistlock, Alexander works against the hold to get the wristlock. Nese reverses back but Alexander rolls and reverses. Alexander whips but Nese goes up and over. Nese leaps but Alexander gets under.

Alexander wants a lift but Nese arm-drags him to the mat. Nese holds onto the arm as he says Alexander’s “got nothing.” Alexander stands but Nese wrenches. Alexander handsprings and hammerlocks to whip. Nese elbows him away to jump. Alexander dodges but Nese goes Matrix, then shows off his stamina with jumping jacks. Nese flexes but Alexander dropkicks him down! Nese goes to ropes but Alexander bumps him off buckles. Alexander chops Nese sharp in the corner, then chops him again. Nese staggers away but Alexander is on him with EuroUppers. Alexander stomps a mudhole into Nese, but backs off at 4. Fans fire up with Alexander but Nese bails out.

Alexander goes after him, but the referee backs him off. Alexander goes again but the ref again backs him off. He goes a third time, but Nese trips him up and pulls him out! Nese kicks Alexander while he’s down, then grimaces as he paces around the former champ. Nese kicks Alexander again, then drags Alexander up and into the ring. Cover, TWO! Nese stomps Alexander now, then wraps on the rear bearhug. Alexander endures the squeeze and fans build to a rally. Alexander powers up and elbows out of the hold. He gives Nese a EuroUpper, then boots and knees Nese from the corner. Alexander rolls, handsprings and headscissors successfully this time. Nese rolls out so Alexander builds speed, only to run into a big back elbow! Cover, TWO! Nese kicks Alexander again, then covers, TWO.

Nese wraps Alexander in a body scissor and squeezes. He pulls Alexander’s hair but fans rally up. Alexander sits up and elbows out again. Nese clubs Alexander back, then runs, for a BIG hotshot! Then Nese jumps, for the triangle moonsault, onto knees! Both men are down and gasping for air. The ref starts a 10 count, and fans rally up. Nese stands at 5, but Alexander follows. Alexander rallies with lariats and uppercuts. Alexander whips Nese but Nese reverses. Nese runs in but into a dropkick that sends him to buckles. Alexander hurries to the apron for the big kick in the corner! Alexander steps in and springboards for the complete shot! Nese bails out but Alexander runs. Alexander avoids the elbow to clothesline Nese back out, and then keeps moving so he can FLY! Direct hit!

Alexander hurries to get Nese up and in, then aims from the apron. Alexander springboards for the flying clothesline! Cover, TWO! Nese is just as tough as anyone, but Alexander keeps his focus. Alexander drags Nese up but Nese pushes him away. Nese gets the takedown to jackknife, TWO! Alexander backslides, TWO! The two of them roll around and stand up. Alexander swings Nese out and in to the Michinoku Driver! Cover, TWO!! Alexander feels some frustration, perhaps remembering back to Melbourne. Nese crawls to ropes while Alexander stands up. Alexander walks over but Nese puts him on the apron. Alexander wants another complete shot but Nese catches and denies it with power. Nese puts Alexander in a corner but Alexander boots him away. Alexander springboards but Nese rolls to SHORYUKEN!

Alexander is dazed sideways on the top rope, and Nese comes back for the kick and gutbuster! Cover, TWO!! That was close but not close enough! Nese glares at Alexander as he drags him back up. Nese says “You’re a fluke of a champion!” He trash talks and pie faces Alexander, but Alexander chops him. Nese hits Alexander with a forearm, but Alexander chops back! Nese kicks low, then knees, then kicks, but Alexander avoids the sweep. Alexander goes to buzzsaw but Nese blocks and shoves Alexander to forearm him on the rebound! Nese runs but Alexander follows for the Neuralizer! Both men are down but Indy is loving it! Another 10 count begins, but Alexander rolls to his feet at 8. Nese follows at 9, but Alexander is on him.

Nese chops Alexander but Alexander chops Nese. Alexander whips but Nese slides under, pumphandle. Alexander slips out, shoves, SPANISH FLY! Nese rolls a bit before Alexander can cover, ROPEBREAK! Alexander is shocked but that’s clear as day. Alexander calms himself, and stands up. Nese puts him on the apron, but Alexander drags Nese up. Nese sweeps the legs and Alexander folds up on the apron! Now Nese drags Alexander over to a drop zone, but has to bail out as Alexander avoids him. Alexander reels Nese in for the lift, but Nese slips out. Nese grabs but Alexander breaks free to rock Nese with a right! Alexander wants to finish Nese, but Nese holds the ropes. The referee has Alexander let up, but Nese rocks Alexander with that lethal left!

Nese adds a German Suplex into the buckles, then the Premier Kneese! But Nese isn’t done there, he puts Alexander in the drop zone, and climbs up top. Nese hits the Premier 450! Cover, Nese wins!!

Winner: Tony Nese, by pinfall

The former champion continues to fall from grace! Alexander lost to Murphy in Melbourne, and loses to Nese in Indianapolis! How long will it be before Alexander is back on top? And what if Nese proves himself worthy of challenging his own tag team partner for the title?

My Thoughts:

A pretty solid episode for 205 Live. And I feel like I have to point it out: between there being more fans in the seats and the entrance’s LED wall being perfectly fine, I think they recorded this episode before SmackDown. That is a smart move for WWE that they should try to make a regular thing if they’re not going to move 205 Live to a dedicated venue. The fans get in earlier, and will have more energy to give than they will after SmackDown and Mixed Match Challenge during this time.

As for the matches, they were also both really fun. From what we saw on Raw, I was hoping the story of Lio, Lashley and Finn Balor was going to branch over here and have a great Finn VS Lio match because of that Open Challenge. However, we instead got Lio VS Lince, which was still really good. I was wondering if there was going to be someone who could team with TJP against Lucha House Party, and perhaps adding TJP to the “Rush Hour” stable would work. But then there was a great surprise in seeing Mike Kanellis returning! Mike in the Cruiserweight Division should be good mostly for him, because he wasn’t getting anything on SmackDown or Raw. I’m sensing LHS VS TJP, Lio & Mike in a Six Man Tag at some point.

Great to hear Ali VS Itami will be Falls Count Anywhere, because that’ll give them both full range of offense. I’m thinking Ali wins, he hasn’t been that strong against Itami so winning this would be big for him. Alexander VS Nese was great, and I was surprised to see Nese win. However, it does work in a “crisis of confidence” story for Alexander to not just snap back from his first loss of the year. Alexander will likely struggle a bit more, so that he appears doomed to fail in his rematch with Murphy.

My Score: 8.5/10

PLAY BY PLAY

Cody Rhodes is here!

Tulsa, Oklahoma cheers The American Nightmare as he makes his entrance. They sing along with Kingdom, “WHOA~ OH~!” and we get the pyro. The Undisputed WWE Champion high-fives fans along the ramp, then goes to the ring for the second “WHOA~ OH~!” and pyro. Cody’s eye is still in rough shape but his smile is just fine as Cody steps into the ring. The fans cheer as Cody gets the mic, and he asks, “Tulsa, Oklahomaaaa…! Whaddya wanna talk about?” The fans cheer again, and Cody says it is always nice when the can come out here and provide new information. Cody has some new information for them.

Earlier tonight, Cody arrived to meet with the esteemed WWE Medical Staff and SmackDown General Manager, Nick Aldis, to find out if Cody is medically cleared for action. The fans chant, “YES! YES! YES!” but that might just be hopeful thinking. Cody smiles, and he continues by saying, “Well… That’s exactly what happened, because I am cleared for action!” The fans cheer, and Cody says that then begets the question: What’s next for Cody Rhodes on SmackDown? “This is the Revolution!” Ricky Saints is here! We heard that was the case, but The Absolute has made it official as he now walks to the ring.

Saints grabs a mic, the fans are torn, but Saints says, “You boo what you don’t understand, I am Absolute Ricky Saints! And I am the hottest, newest, flyest, SmackDown free agent standing right in front of you. And if you don’t know about me, you better ask about me. I’m young, I’m successful, I’m rich, I’m debonair, I’m suave, I’m basically everything your baby mama wishes you were. And wow, here we are. You and I, Cody, we’re no strangers to each other, so I bet it’s no surprise that I’m out here. But I know that you feel the change in the air. And that change is a revolution. And when we talk about that, we talk about who’s leading the revolution.

“There is one man, it is me! Since day one, it has always been me! I AM the Revolution! I am the man! And I want you to know something: Welcome to Friday Night Saints!” The fans are torn about that, but they start to cheer Cody. Cody says, “Okay. Friday Night Saints it is. And y’know, I am glad to have you, you know how I feel about you, but bold move here, so I’ll go ahead and ask you. Ricky, what’s the difference between now and the last time you stepped up to me?” The fans who know like that, but Ricky says it’s Cody. Ricky is standing in front of a man who probably still has staples in his head, his eye is still busted, he’s barely hanging on.

Those three title reigns have aged Cody 30 YEARS! And Ricky may be wrong about that, but one thing he is right about is that he is a former NXT Champion, a former NXT North American Champion, and ain’t nobody can do that but Saints because he’s Absolute. Ricky has been in the background, congratulating Cody for milestone after milestone. It was a detriment to Ricky’s career, and he would only hope that Cody would keep that same energy for him. Because Ricky’s here to relieve Cody of his duties. Cody hesitates, but he says okay. Easy thread to pull. Cody came out here in front of their friends in Tulsa and told them he was cleared for action.

Ricky himself looks game for action, so if this is what he wants to do here tonight, if he wants Saints VS Rhodes, let’s do it then! The fans cheer, but Saints says one more thing. He didn’t come out here to make a statement, he came out here to change who this show is about. Cody says that’s fair. But let him remind Saints of what he reminded everyone of last week. On SmackDown, in the WWE, Cody is easy to find, but hard to beat! QB1 is about to fight for his spot, but will Ricky prove he’s not just the new kid on the block, but the new king of the castle?

Backstage interview with Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss.

Cathy Kelley is with #Charlexa at gorilla and brings up last week, Fatal Influence making a big statement attacking during that tag title match. Tonight, Charlotte takes Jacy Jayne on, but aren’t they worried about the numbers advantage? Before Charlotte can speak, Rhea Ripley steps in and says she can answer that. Mami says that she tried to take Fatal Influence on 3v1 and got ambushed. So, she is willing to put differences aside if they are to help them out. Alexa says thanks, that is so nice. Charlotte tells the champ that they may have teamed before, but that doesn’t mean they need to team again.

Rhea says there are three Fatal Influencers, there’s only two in #Charlexa. They’re gonna need someone. Alexa says that’s a good point, Charlotte knows that, but she just needs Alexa. She knows there’s the cute goth connection, but three is a crowd. It’s just the besties. Charlotte turns, but she asks Alexa to come along, this is the dramatic exit. Alexa apologizes to Rhea, dramatic exit. They head out, but will even The Queen be forced to see Mami is right?

Charlotte Flair w/ Alexa Bliss VS Jacy Jayne w/ The Fatal Influence!

SmackDown returns as Fatal Influence makes their entrance. But Jacy has a mic to tell them to cut her music, because she’s got something to say. The fans boo but she says she expected nothing less from the LOSERS in Oklahoma! The fans boo more, but Jacy says last week, you got a small taste of what Fatal Influence brings to SmackDown. And clearly, someone just couldn’t get enough! But Jacy loves that! She thrives off that! Because if there’s anything Fatal Influence loves to do, it is to embarrass a legend. Lainey, Fallon, and yours truly, Jacy Jayne, will take out the precious legends one at a time.

And who better to start with than with Charlotte Flair! “WOO~!” Jacy puts the mic down, but will she be eating her words soon enough?

The bell rings, the fans rally, and the two circle. Jacy mocks the Fargo Strut, then ties up with Charlotte. They go around, end up in a corner, and the ref counts. Jacy protests but Charlotte lets off cleanly. Charlotte eggs Jacy on, the fans “WOO~,” and Jacy smiles as she comes back. They tie up, Jacy KNEES low, then she pie face Charlotte. The ring count climbs as Jacy composes herself, and she gets to her feet. Charlotte holds the ropes open for Jacy, but Jacy refuses. Jacy steps in on her own, then runs up on Charlotte. Charlotte dodges to waistlock, but Jacy elbows free! Jacy whips but Charlotte KICKS her away! But Lainey swipes at Charlotte! Jacy SUPERKICKS in the distraction! Jacy has Charlotte in the ropes for the ROPE GUILLOTINE! Charlotte sputters and the ref reprimands, but Jacy rains down fists! Jacy stops to soak up the heat, then she puts Charlotte in a corner. CANNONBALL! Jacy drags Charlotte to a cover, TWO!

Jacy drags Charlotte around, ELBOWS her in the shoulder, then clamps on a neck wrench. Charlotte fights up, fires body shots, but Jacy KNEES low! Jacy THROWS Charlotte down, then clamps on with a chinlock. Jacy grinds Charlotte down, even pushes on the hold, but Charlotte still endures. Charlotte fights up, fires body shots, but Charlotte whips. Jacy reverses, Charlotte goes up and over, and things keep moving! Jacy ELBOWS Charlotte down! Cover, TWO! Jacy is frustrated now but Charlotte’s not The Queen for nothing. Jacy puts Charlotte on the ropes, CHOKES her, but steps off as the ref counts 4.

Jacy YANKS the rope to jam Charlotte up, then she KICKS Charlotte in the back. Jacy clamps on with another chinlock, and she thrashes Charlotte around. Charlotte endures, reaches out, and SmackDown returns to single picture. The fans rally as Charlotte rises, but Jacy becomes a backpack. Charlotte RAMS Jacy into buckles, frees herself, but Jacy THROWS Charlotte into buckles! Jacy ROCKS Charlotte, then soaks up heat. Jacy runs up on Charlotte, but Charlotte catches her back body block into a BIG back suplex! The fans cheer while both women are down! Charlotte rises first and she waits on Jacy.

Charlotte ROCKS Jacy, ROCKS her again, then CHOPS! CHOPS! And CHOPS! The fans “WOO~” for every CHOP but Fatal Influence covers their ears and says to shut up! Charlotte just CHOPS Jacy off her feet! Jacy scrambles but Charlotte HANDSPRING LARIATS! The fans fire up and Charlotte pushes Jacy to a corner. Charlotte whips corner to corner, Jacy reverses, but Charlotte goes up and out! Charlotte BOOTS Jacy away, goes up the corner, and CROSSBODIES! But Jacy rolls through, TWO! Both women stand, Jacy SUPERKICKS! Charlotte rebounds to BOOT Jacy! The fans fire up while Charlotte hobbles her way over.

Charlotte drags Jacy into a drop zone, steps on her as she goes to the corner, then climbs up, for the MOONSAULT! Cover, TWO! Jacy survives and the fans are stunned! Fallon rubs it in but Charlotte just stands back up. Charlotte scoops Jacy but Jacy slips free! CHOP BLOCK! Jacy keeps moving, ROCKSTAR KNEE! Cover, TWO! Charlotte survives and Jacy is seething. Jacy has a wild grin on her face as she takes aim, ROLLING- BOOT! Charlotte intercepts, then she has the legs! FIGURE FOUR! The fans cheer, Charlotte bridges, but Fallon trips Charlotte up behind the ref’s back! Bliss DECKS Fallon! But Lainey KNEES Alexa!

Charlotte BOOTS Lainey! But ROLLING ENCORE!! Cover, Jacy wins!!

Winner: Jacy Jayne, by pinfall

Turns out, Rhea was right! Jacy steals one, and now they mug Charlotte! Alexa is back, she THROWS Lainey and ROCKS Fallon, but Jacy CLUBS her down! Fallon BOOTS Bliss, the mugging continues, and Fallon sends Alexa into steel steps! But Here comes Rhea! The Eradicator dodges Fallon, SUPERKICKS her, then rushes Lainey & Jacy! EDDY GORDO KICK for Lainey, a HEADABUTT on Jacy! Jacy slips free of Riptide and SHOVES Rhea at Charlotte! The old rivals stop short of hitting each other, and Fatal Influence retreats. But then Charlotte offers a handshake, and Rhea takes it! Will Fatal Influence be in trouble now that the odds are even?

Paige & Brie Bella finish watching this.

Byron Saxton steps in for an interview. What is their reaction to the attack from Fatal Influence last week, as well as all we saw tonight? Brie says to be honest, a part of them is impressed by Fatal Influence. Jacy, Fallon, Lainey, they are making a name for themselves. But sooner or later, their actions will catch up to them. Paige says she absolutely agrees. She knows she hasn’t been here awhile, but she knows that karma is real, and they will deal with The Influence in time. But tonight, they’re focused on two women, Nia & Lash, and walking out of Tulsa still the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.

Byron says speaking of, how do they plan on keeping these titles and defeating The Irresistible Forces? Brie says Nia & Lash are big, strong, powerful, and the former champions. But with resilience and experience, Brie & Paige will get the job done. Plus, Paige is back! You miss her? Brie says they all missed her. And SmackDown is THEIR house! Byron wishes them luck, but will #BrieMode activate and help these two turn the page on their title reign?

R-Truth talks with Fraxiom backstage.

Truth knows they’ve got their eyes on everything, it’s easy as 1-2-3! Damian Priest steps in and asks what’s up. Truth says not much, he’s just hanging out with Los Americanos. Priest says no, this isn’t Los Americanos. But Priest can guess what they were talking about. And he agrees! These two are deserving, so Priest is looking forward to facing Fraxiom for the tag team titles. Nathan Frazer & Axiom are very surprised, and Axiom tries to say that’s not what they were talking about, but Frazer says they’re absolutely up for it! They’ll go talk to Aldis! Priest, you’re the man, bro! Fraxiom heads out, Truth asks what’s going on.

Priest checks with Truth, that’s not what they were talking about? No! Talking about their taxes! What? Truth, you should not be giving advice on taxes. No, he’s the best! But you can’t just be giving anybody title shots! Priest says that’s what HE said last time! Truth says that’s what Truth said! Is Priest okay? He might need to get his head in the game, they’ve got a match now! Truth has to get dressed. Truth heads out, and Priest still can’t get his head around the taxes thing. But will there at least be a good return on this deal they just made?

The Miz & Kit Wilson talk backstage.

And it seems they’re setting a trap. What Danhausen wants, what he needs, is “free human moneys.” So they’re just putting a briefcase of money out in the open? Danhausen also disappears. How’re they supposed to catch him when he can just disappear? Because when the briefcase opens, POOF, it’ll spray and blind him! Then they can jump him! Kit asks Miz to trust him. Then they hear Danhausen singing his own song, so they hurry and hide in the photobooth. Danhausen walks in, and he sees the sign. Free money?! Danhausen opens the briefcase, there’s a glowing gold light like in Pulp Fiction, and there is indeed a LOT of money inside!

Danhausen takes about $400, and says he can buy so much with this! Danhausen leaves, and Miz is upset. Not only did it not work, Danhausen walked away with their money! Kit says it should’ve worked! They open it, and POOF! Well, it did work… Miz is so sick of this! But will Miz & Kit ever get the better of the living Looney Tune that is Danhausen?

WWE Tag Team Championships: Damian Priest & R-Truth VS Fraxiom!

The Archer of Infamy misunderstood Truth earlier, but that’s only because it’s hard to know if Truth understands what’s even going on. Will it still be #WepaUp tonight in Tulsa? Or will the Jersey Island Rocket & Undeniable Truth take advantage of the confusion?

The introductions are made, the belts are raised, and we see if things become a bit clearer!

The teams sort out, Truth starts against Axiom. The fans cheer as the two stare down, and they join Truth in saying, “What’s Up?!” Axiom nods, he and Truth tie up, and Truth powers Axiom to a corner. Truth says clean break, and he backs off slowly. But then Truth headlocks! Gottee! Axiom powers up and out but Truth RUNS Axiom over! Truth does his dance moves, then speeds things up. Axiom ducks ‘n’ dodges, springboards and arm-drags then kips up and DROPKICKS! Truth sputters but Axiom tags Frazer. They whip, Truth stops himself, and he tags Priest! The fans cheer as Priest and Frazer circle.

Priest corners Frazer, keeps him from slipping away, but Frazer headlocks. Priest stands up and that’s enough to lift Frazer! Priest then back suplexes but Frazer lands out! Frazer ducks ‘n’ dodges, then slides under to ENZIGIRI! Tag to Axiom while Priest wobbles, and Frazer storms up. Priest DECKS Frazer, avoids Axiom, but Axiom slips around to waistlock. Axiom ducks an elbow, but not the BELL CLAP! Priest swings, Axiom ducks, but then Priest DECKS Axiom on the return! Priest Canadian Racks Axiom for the RAZOR’s- RANA! Axiom sends Priest out, then he dodges truth! SUPERKICK! Frazer adds a KNEE!

Frazer then gives Axiom a boost to DROPKICK! Truth tumbles out, Fraxiom DROPKICK #WepaUp back down! Fraxiom builds speed, but Truth & Priest avoid the dives, and the fans cheer this standoff as SmackDown goes to break.

SmackDown returns as Truth kicks Axiom low, then reels him in. Truth suplexes for a STREET CUTTER! Both men are down and the fans fire up! Truth and Axiom crawl, hot tags to Priest and Frazer! Priest rallies as he DECKS Axiom & Frazer on repeat! He runs, they dodge, but he gets them for a DOUBLE BACKDROP! Priest runs up to ELBOW Axiom in one corner, then ELBOW Frazer in the other! ROUNDHOUSE for Axiom, then FLATLINER for Frazer! The fans fire up again and Priest powers up the arm. Priest winds up, runs, LARIAT on Axiom! Guzel on Frazer, SOUTH OF- NO, Frazer flips free to ENZIGIRI!

Truth tags in and the fans fire up! Truth ducks ‘n’ dodges to SHOULDER TACKLE! #RonCena is unleashed as he hits the SPIN-OUT BOMB! The fans fire up again, and “You Can’t See Me!” Truth runs, Five Knuckle Shuffle! Then Truth waits on Frazer, but Axiom YANKS Priest down! Truth storms up, Frazer rolls Truth up, TWO! So close, but Truth runs up! Fraxiom DUMPS Truth out, then Frazer DIVES! Direct hit on Truth! Axiom DIVES, direct hit on Priest! They just keep going, and Frazer FLIES to wipe both champs out! The fans fire up as Axiom then goes up, up, GOLDEN TRIANGLE! Another direct hit!

Frazer puts Truth in, Axiom tags in, “This is Awesome!” as Truth is set up, MISSILE DROPKICK LEG SWEEP! #CatapultaInferno! Cover, Priest BOOTS Frazer down onto it! The fans fire up as Priest brings down the straps! Priest drags Truth to safety, then tags in. Priest POUNCE Axiom up and out of the ring! Then Priest blocks a kick, FLIPS Frazer, and guzels for the SOUTH OF HEAVEN!! But Priest isn’t done, he drags Axiom back in, reels him in, and lifts him up! RAZOR’S EDGE!! Cover, Wepa Up wins!

Winners: Damian Priest & R-Truth, by pinfall (still WWE Tag Team Champions)

Priest got them into this mess, and he got them out of it! But then TALLA TONGA CLOBBERS Priest! And he LARIATS Truth! Then he POSTS Truth! Solo Sikoa smiles as Talla guzels Fraxiom, for a DOUBLE CHOKE SLAM! But that’s not all! Priest staggers to his feet, into another guzel! Talla CHOKE SLAMS Priest on the belts! The fans boo but MFT has made it known that they’re back at 100%. But will this sneak attack really get them back to the top of the tag team division?

SmackDown returns and MFT is still in the ring.

The fans boo, but Solo has the mic to say, “Last week on SmackDown, Jacob made a big, big mistake.” The footage shows Fatu beating Solo Sikoa 1v1, then brawling with MFT, and absolutely dominating them! The fans cheer for Fatu but Solo says even though Jacob took out his army, he took out Talla’s family. And Talla’s family are Solo’s family. Talla’s brothers are Solo’s brothers. Talla’s blood is Solo’s blood. The ones Talla loves are the ones Solo is supposed to protect! But they’re not standing here and now because of YOU, Jacob!! So Jacob, when yo’ ass gets here, you are a dead man walking.

The fans boo, but then THE USOS are here! The fans cheer and YEET as Solo’s real brothers go right to the ring. Jimmy & Jey get the mics, and they say The Usos are now in your citay~! And hey, they get it, lil’ brother. Listen, they understand that Solo has issue with the Samoan Werewolf. But understand, you’re not the only one. The OTC, Roman Reigns, gots a big, BIG problem with him, too. The mistake Jacob made wasn’t when he cut down Solo’s family tree. The mistake Jacob made was on Monday when he put his hands on The Tribal Chief! Jey says not only did Jacob put hands on Roman, he used the Tongan Death Grip!

That is a sacred move, handed down from generation to generation. Talla’s father, Haku, used that move. That move is a last resort! Jacob is their last resort, that means so is OTC. So whatever Solo’s plans are of getting Jacob, that’s gotta wait until Roman’s done with him. YEET. Solo scoffs at that , and says there is plenty of Jacob to go around. But Jey tells Solo that they’re not asking him, they’re telling him. Solo frowns, but then he laughs it off. Solo wants them to listen. He has no time for this. He tells Talla time to go, but Talla doesn’t budge. Solo looks back, nods, and Talla BOOTS Jey! Then guzel and CHOKE SLAM on Jimmy!

The fans boo but now Talla adds The Usos to the bodies he’s thrown around tonight. Solo tells The Usos to tell Roman that he ain’t Solo’s Tribal Chief. What Roman says, MFT don’t give a damn. So whether Roman likes it or not, Jacob Fatu is a dead man. MFT has put it plainly, but will it really be as simple as getting at Jacob tonight? Or will the Samoan Werewolf just send them to the sidelines like he did the others?

Sami Zayn talks with Cody Rhodes backstage.

Sami says he’s glad to bump into Cody here, because he wants to talk about last week. Did Cody really call Sami, “Sarcastic and condescending?” Cody says yes. Why? Because of the “golden boy” comment? That wasn’t meant as an insult, that was a compliment. That’s what Cody wants to be, right? They all want to be a “golden boy.” Sami wishes he was but he’s not, Cody is. Is Cody really upset that he got to wear all that gold on the way to WrestleMania? Sami is tired of the misunderstandings. They gotta stick together. How far back do they go? Plus, they’re like the last of a dying breed. Cody and Sami are the last real good guys here. And they’re friends.

Sami says he and Cody are the same. Cody says there’s a lot of truth here, but one thing wrong is, they’re not the same. The American Nightmare heads out, ready to face Ricky Saints. Will Cody prove he isn’t just cleared but sharper than ever? Or will this be an absolute upset?

Ricky Saints VS Cody Rhodes!

The Absolute sure picked a way to debut on SmackDown! But will the revolution truly be televised here in Tulsa? Or will the American Nightmare keep momentum going from WrestleMania?

The bell rings and the fans rally as the two friends step up. They shake hands, but Ricky makes it a headlock. Cody powers up and out, Ricky RUNS him over! Ricky RUNS Cody over again, then keeps moving. Cody drops down, but Ricky blocks the hip toss and arm-drags! And arm-drags again! Ricky lounges on the mat while the fans cheer. Cody and Ricky reset, feel things out, then Cody KNEES low! Cody suplexes, holds Ricky up, and the fans cheer, but Ricky slips free. Cody swings, Ricky ducks the elbow, but Cody facelocks. Cody wrenches and whips Ricky but Ricky goes up, out, only for Cody to DECK him!

The ring count climbs but Cody takes his time. Cody goes around the way, up the steps, and steps back inside. Cody and Ricky reset, feel things out, and tie up. Cody powers Ricky back, headlocks, then hits the takeover. Ricky endures the grind, keeps his shoulders up, then chinbars Cody. The bad eye is a problem, and Ricky manages the headscissors. Cody kips free but Ricky ELBOWS him down! Ricky CLUBS Cody, puts him in a corner, then fires a BODY BLOW! Ricky puts Cody in another corner, stomps and ROCKS and CLUBS him down! The ref counts, Ricky stops, but Ricky also smiles as he whips Cody to ropes.

Cody slides under, kicks low, and RHODES UPPERCUT! Ricky staggers, but he still LARATS Cody back down! Cover, TWO! Ricky scowls but he stays close. Ricky puts Cody in a corner, runs corner to corner and ELBOWS! Then snapmare and KNEE DROP! Cover, TWO! Ricky snarls as he clamps on a chinlock, and he even grinds his forearm into the bad eye! Ricky clamps on with a neck wrench but Cody endures. Cody fights up, pries free, then fires a body shot, but Ricky THROWS Cody down by his hair! The ref reprimands but Ricky nods and points to the fans. Ricky drags Cody up to CHOP! Cody CHOPS back!

The CHOPS go back and forth, then Ricky kicks low! Ricky runs to basement DROPKICK! Cover, TWO! Ricky clamps on with Cody for another neck wrench! SmackDown returns to single picture as the fans rally behind Cody. Cody pries free again, stands back up, but Ricky kicks low. Ricky CHOPS Cody, whips, but Cody reverses. Cody then blows past Ricky to CLOBBER him! Cody wrenches but Ricky ROCKS him! Ricky turns Cody for the NECKBREAKER! Then KNEE DROP! Cover, TWO! The fans rally for Cody but Ricky puts him on the ropes. Ricky CHOKES Cody, but stops at 4. Ricky then SCRAPES Cody’s face against the rope!

Ricky wrenches Cody, wristlocks, and he goes up the ropes! The fans boo but Ricky goes Old School with his own style, before the AX HANDLE! Ricky strikes his pose, then runs up, but into a SNAP POWERSLAM! Cody snarls as he rises up, and he builds speed to springboard, DISASTER KICK! The fans fire up again and Cody snarls. Cody drags Ricky up, just to CODY CUTTER! The fans fire up for Cody even more, and Cody storms back over to Ricky. Cody scoops so he can- NO, Ricky slips free, and SIDEWINDER! Cover, TWO! Cody survives and Ricky snarls but the fans continue to rally behind the champ.

Ricky drags Cody up, reels him in, but Cody BACKDROPS! Saints sunset flips, TWO! Cody high stacks, TWO! Saints ducks a lariat, and REVOLUTION DDT!! Cover, TWO!! Cody survives and Ricky is furious! Ricky drags Cody up, and he vows to end it here! Canadian Rack, but Cody slips free, turns it around, and CROSS RHODES!! Cover, Cody wins!

Winner: Cody Rhodes, by pinfall

Ricky put up a fight fitting of a former NXT Champion, but it wasn’t enough for- GUNTHER ATTACKS CODY?!? Der Ring General has Cody in a SLEEPER!! The fans boo, but Gunther lets Cody go! Cody just drops to the mat! Refs rush out here, but Gunther clamps back on with another SLEEPER!! The fans boo as hard as they can but the refs finally get Gunther to let go! Gunther looks at the Undisputed Championship, and he smiles as he sits it up. Gunther has left Raw behind to go after SmackDown’s top prize. Will the Career Killer also be the one who ends Cody’s reign?

Danhausen heads to the ring!

Driving up to the ring in his Jeephausen, the fans cheer the Very Nice, Very Evil Overlord as he parks right in front of commentary. Wade Barrett says this is a fire hazard, Joe Tessitore says that’s VIP parking. Danhausen has a bag and a mic, and he says, “Hello, Fanhausens! I am Danhausen, Very Nice, Very Evil, and luckily for you, I found $400 in the back, human style, and I decided I’d spend it on the Fanhausens by buying some Danhausen merchandise!” The fans cheer that, and Danhausen chucks wadded out shirts and such. Who else wants free shirts!? The fans cheer, but then The Miz makes his way out here!

The Hollywood A-Lister, still covered in that powder, says, “Ever since you’ve come here, bad things have happened to me. My wedding renewal with my wife: ruined. My daughter’s bike: stolen. A referee got a cramp in his arm, I got blown up last week, and now this?!” Danhausen asks why Miz is all dirty. Miz doesn’t wanna talk about it. Miz has realized… He IS cursed! The fans cheer that! “Yes You Are! Yes You Are!” Yes, he is, and he’ll do the one thing he thought he’d never do. Danhausen, Miz will be your mentor! The fans cheer that, too! Danhausen says, “Mizhausen?!” Then fans cheer for that!

Miz says yes, Mizhausen. They go to shake hands, but then Kit Wilson makes his entrance! Kit says no, no, no! MIZ! Have you lost your mind?! You were mentoring KIT, remember? Master, Inspire, Zone-In, WITH KIT! Kit steps into the ring and says Miz is enabling this TOXIC little gremlin! Miz says Kit, calm down. Kit says WAKE UP! Miz says NO, YOU WAKE UP! Do you know why everyone’s talking about Danhausen!? Because he has mastered the curse! He has inspired a connection with each and every fan here in Tulsa, and everyone watching all over the world! And Danhausen has been able to zone-in on what it truly takes to be a WWE Superstar! Can Kit say the same?!

Danhausen says NOPE! Kit scowls but Miz says Kit wants to be his mentee, but he’s not even in the same league! Ohhh… Miz says Mizhausen, but Kit pleads with him! Give MizKit a chance! Kit wrote a poem! Really? Kit says Danhausen doesn’t belong in this building, he should be banned! Miz, look Kit in the eyes and shake his hand. Danhausen says oh no you don’t! Shake Danhausen’s hand! The fans cheer for Danhausen’s handhausen, but then Miz considers Kit’s plea. Miz is conflicted, but we all know who the fans want! Miz SHAKES DANHAUSEN’S HAND! Mizhausen lives! Kit is devastated, but Miz says guess there’s only one thing left to do.

Danhausen understandhausens. “YOU! ARE!” MIZ CLOBBERS DANHAUSEN!! It was their planhausen all along! And now Miz & Kit beat up on Danhausen! The fans boo this treachery, but then Miz hits Danhausen with a SKULL CRUSHING FINALE! Then Miz sets Danhausen up for Kit! “YOU! ARE! TOXIC!” MEN CRY TOO ELBOW!! The fans boo, but will MizKit only find things will get worse from here?

Blake Monroe speaks.

“I’m The Glamour. Clean, perfect, untouchable. And when the world thinks it’s ready to see The Glamour in full, it’ll be too late. Because nothings brighter, and darker, than Blake Monroe.” When and where will The Material Girl shine in the spotlight of SmackDown?

Royce Keys VS Angel w/ Berto!

The Powerhouse already beat one half of Los Garza, now he looks to complete the combo. Will he take everything he wants and then some? Or will Angel be able to survive this collision?

The bell rings and Angel takes the pants off! The fans cheer, but then Angel throws the pants at Royce! Angel fires off hands, but Royce grabs Angel to TOSS him to the corner! Angel bails out, Berto checks on his cousin, and they talk strategy. Angel hurries in one side, but Berto distracts Royce! Angel jumps on Royce, but Royce throws him right off! Angel begs for mercy, but Royce corners him! Angel ducks ‘n’ dodges, but Royce still CLOBBERS Angel on return! The fans cheer and Royce runs up in the corner! SPALSH! Angel sputters, Royce runs, and he BLASTS Berto off the apron! Angel leaps, but into Royce’s arms!

The fans fire up for Royce as he puts Angel on the corner. Royce climbs up, then lifts him up again, for a SUPER POWERSLAM! The fans fire up as the straps come down! TOWN BIDNESS! Cover, Royce wins!

Winner: Royce Keys, by pinfall

Size, strength, agility, and the #UltimateSpinebuster. Will nothing stop Royce Keys from becoming THE man in the WWE?

Backstage interview with Tiffany Stratton.

Cathy Kelley is with the NEW WWE Women’s United States Champion, and says she won that last week off Giulia. What is the plan for her title reign? Tiff says as both champion and birthday girl, people should be coming to her for opportunities. Plus, this title needs to be defended more frequently! And who doesn’t love a good ol’ Open Challenge? But before Tiff can say more, Chelsea Green rolls in, saying she has a birthday gift! It’s Chelsea walking again! It’s a miracle! Chelsea says she planned a surprise birthday party but ol’ Nicholas the Prickless ruins everything. So instead, let’s go for martinis! Tiff says she cannot imagine a worse way to spend her birthday.

Chelsea says okay, then first order of business will be to discuss her reigns as the first-and-fourth-ever Women’s US Champion, and Tiff being the… sixth? Kiana James & Giulia step in now, and Kiana says it’s a good thing Chelsea’s phony birthday celebration never came to be. It’s not like Tiff will be champion for long, and Kiana wouldn’t be doing her job if she didn’t secure Giulia her title rematch. Tiff says yes, she’s up for next week. Giulia says can’t wait! No, no, Tiff wasn’t talking about Giulia. She has an entire locker room to consider, and actually, Tiff was thinking Kiana. Giulia says fine, and Tiff says let’s see how good Kiana is when she’s not being held back.

Tiff says tootles, and Chelsea wishes them the best. Chelsea then hurries after Tiff, still trying to schmooze the champ. But will Miss Management actually get herself some gold? Or will SmackDown still be on #TiffyTime?

Royce Keys finishes a Facetime call.

They saw his match, but then Jacob Fatu steps in. And they say sup! Fatu congratulates Royce on making it here, and Royce wants to holla at him a minute. They’ve known each other 14, 15 years, and… Royce is still that same guy. Ten toes down, and he’ll run with Fatu seven days a week. Fatu remembers when Royce had the ’89 Accord? They still drove 10 hours to Vegas and back, and still pulled a 12 hour shift at the warehouse. But now, Roman and the Usos, they’re back on top. Y’know what that means? They’re back in business, taking everything the want. Now, what Royce wants Fatu to do is werewolf up!

Is Fatu gonna be the man that gets on top? Or is Fatu gonna let Roman take food off his table? Or maybe… Being in the WWE has made Fatu forget the smell of them streets. People like them, they take everything they want. Fatu says  on that, he’s tapped in! Fatu heads out, but then TALLA CLOBBERS ROYCE! Solo goes after Fatu, then so does Talla! CHOKE SLAM down through a table!! Refs and producers rush in but the damage is done. MFT is going to go fight The Usos later tonight, but did they just make a big mistake here and now?

The Gingerbread Man (costume) stands in the ring…

And Sami Zayn makes his entrance! The fans in Tulsa are torn, but the former WWE United States Champion is all smiles as he goes to the ring. Sami gets a mic and stands with the Gingerbread Man costume as he says, “I mean, guys, are we having fun or what, huh?” The fans boo, but Sami says he’s being honest here, he doesn’t always say this, but he loves coming to Tulsa! He really does! He had a lovely morning, went to the Bob Dylan Center on Reconciliation Way. Sami’s a huge Bob Dylan fan, Bob Dylan was a folk legend back in the 1960s, until one fateful day, he decided to pick up an electric guitar.

Y’know what happened when Bob Dylan went electric? They turned on him! They booed him! And Sami just thought to himself, man can he relate! Because Sami doesn’t know what he did that was so wrong to get these reactions! No one seems to know! No, it’s okay, but the truth is, it doesn’t bother him. And do you know why? Because Sami that his Ride or Die fans are here tonight! The fans that had his back since day one, he knows you’re here, and millions more watching at home, and they will continue to have his back. So Sami can deal with bad reactions. What Sami doesn’t deal with well is disrespect!

And the fact that someone like Trick Williams… “WHOOP DAT TRICK! WHOOP DAT TRICK!” Sami says yes, sure, absolutely, Trick is great, he is fun. This was all fun. But what’s really funny is that the Gingerbread Man represents Trick better than it does Sami. Because y’know what this is? A shell of a man wearing a costume, and that’s exactly what Trick Williams is! The truth is, it is easy to do what Trick does! Get great entrance music, hit some dance moves, have a bunch of catchphrases! Sami could do that in his sleep!

But do you know what’s hard? Doing what Sami does! Coming out here, night in, night out, year in, year out, giving every bit of heart, soul, passion, grit! Leaving it all in the ring, night in, night out, year in, year out! THAT is hard! So when Sami looks at this costume, at ol’ Gingey here, yes, it is funny. But this isn’t what Sami sees. Sami sees Trick not taking Sami seriously! He sees Trick not taking all of this, all the fans, everything here, not seriously. This is disrespect. Y’know what Sami wants to do to this gingerbread man? Sami winds up, but then he stops himself. Sami admits he is cracking up, losing his marbles. He’s about to hit a gingerbread man in Tulsa.

Sami apologizes, and apologizes to the dummy. He shakes it’s hand, then LOW BLOWS it! The costume just falls over since it is only on a mannequin, but Sami ELBOW DROPS! Then he HAMMERS away on it! Sami has snapped as he RIPS Gingey up! The arm came off! Sami rips off a gumdrop button! NOT THE GUMDROP BUTTON! But then Trick Williams is here! Sami gets the dummy outta here as Trick rushes in! Trick fires hands on Sami! The fans cheer as Trick UPPERCUTS Sami, then takes aim! Sami rises up, but then bails out before the Trick Shot! Trick warns Sami to watch himself, but when and where will these two run it back?

Backstage interview with The Irresistible Forces.

Byron Saxton is with Nia Jax & Lash Legend and brings up the interview with Paige & Brie from earlier tonight. Nia stops Byron there, pointing out that these “new champions” didn’t pin either Nia or Lash, they pinned Charlotte. Lash says the fact of the matter is, they were all prepared for The Bella Twins, Brie & Nikki, not no Paige! But it’s all good, because they have something for the champs tonight, meaning it will be a totally different story. Plus, it’s just 2v2, so the math is mathing. And once they end this nostalgic comeback and get the titles back, Paige & Brie will sit on the couch with Nikki. What she said.

The Irresistible Forces head out, but will they pick up their dominant reign where they left off? Or will even these Bougie Bullies be unable to stop the living legends?

Cathy Kelley is at the WWE Trainer’s Room.

And we’re waiting for an update one… The Gingerbread Man? Trick steps out and Cathy says she can’t imagine how he’s feeling. Any comments? Trick says he has a comment for them. Sami Zayn, you crossed the line! Last week, Sami took out Lil’ Yachty, they don’t know if he’s coming back. This week, Sami takes out The Gingerbread Man! Ain’t nobody touches Gingerbread Man! Sami took out Trick’s manager, he took out Trick’s mascot, now Sami is messing with Trick’s money. No one messes with Trick’s money! Look at his wrist: $30 THOUSAND! His chain: $42 THOUSAND! Trick doesn’t play around!

Sami, pray to the Good Lord up above that Gingerbread Man will be okay, because if not, they’ve got a much bigger problem. Sami has a match with Trick at Backlash! Trick has no problems giving him a title rematch, either, because Trick already beat Sami on the Grandest Stage of Them All, so he has no problem doing it again. Trick always gets what he wants, ask The Legend herself! When Trick Willy wants dat ass, he gets it! The doc steps in, and shakes his head. Oh no! RIP Gingey. Trick tells Sami at Backlash, he’ll whoop dat trick! Is Hollywood Trick about to shrek Sami’s life for this?

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships: Brie Bella & Paige VS Nia Jax & Lash Legend!

When Nikki Bella went down with a bad ankle, it was an old friend that stepped up to the plate! And while their first defense was ruined by The Fatal Influence’s actions, will this defense be a success? Or will the Irresistible Forces truly be unstoppable when it’s 2v2?

The introductions are made, the belts are raised, and we see which team is truly the strongest!

The teams sort out and Paige starts against Lash. They circle while the fans rally, and the two tie up. Lash THROWS Paige, talks trash, but Paige mule kicks! And SLAPS! Paige runs, but Nia gets at her! The ref reprimands but the LEGENDARY RIGHT knocks Paige down! Lash HAMMERS Paige, drags her to center, then rush SPLASH! Cover, TWO! Paige survives but Nia tags in, and Nia HEADBUTTS Paige down. Nia brings Paige around, scoops, but Paige slips free to CHOP BLOCK! Paige staggers but Nia reels her back in. Paige JAWBREAKERS free, then tags Brie! Brie goes up, up, and MISSILE DROPKICKS!

Nia tumbles but Brie hurries after her. Brie KNEES away on Nia, puts her on the ropes, then sits her down! #BrieMode activates for the RUNNING KNEE! Lash protests but Brie stays fired up! Brie BOOTS Lash for good measure, but then Nia fireman’s carries! Brie scrambles free to the apron, ROCKS Nia, but Lash has a leg. Brie kicks free but Nia DECKS her! The fans boo but Brie is down, and SmackDown goes to break.

SmackDown returns as Nia runs up on Brie, only for Brie to dodge! Nia POSTS herself, and the fans fire up as Brie crawls! Lash tags in, and she runs up on Paige! Paige avoids the cheap shot, but then Lash picks Brie up! Lash throws Brie back, KNEES low, and reels her in! But Brie fights the bomb to then RANA! Lash tumbles, Brie crawls, hot tag to Paige! The fans fire up as Paige fires off, then THRUST KICKS! Paige runs to DROPKICK! Paige fires up and so do the fans! Paige runs up, Lash puts her on the apron, but Paige catches Lash in ropes! Paige fires KNEE after KNEE after KNEE, then she shoves Lash down!

Paige goes up, up, and takes aim, CROSSBODY caught! Lash grins as she pops Paige up, but Paige pops free! Tag to Brie, but Lash SPLASHES in the corner! Brie ROCKS Lash, Paige gets Lash hooked up, PAIGE TURNER! Then Brie runs up, BELLA BUSTER! Cover, Nia breaks it! Paige runs up but Nia RAMS her and TOSSES her! Nia hurries to her corner, tags herself in, and runs up on Brie to SPLASH! Nia then puts Brie in the drop zone, climbs up the corner, but Paige hurries to KICK Nia! Lash protests but Paige CANNONBALLS her down! Brie rolls Nia up, Brie & Paige win!

Winners: Brie Bella & Paige, by pinfall (still WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions)

Nia is shocked, but you can’t underestimate the savvy of these icons of the WWE Women’s Division! Brie & Paige continue this “nostalgia act,” but who will be next for them on the title reign?

BREAKING NEWS!

Next week on SmackDown, Trick Williams looks to… honor the memory of the fallen Gingerbread Man…? With a funeral? Sami Zayn talks with Nick Aldis backstage, saying this is what he means! Trick is joking, right? Sami gets it, it’s all at his expense, but seriously? Television time is going to the funeral of a fictional character?! Aldis understands Sami is upset, but Sami should understand everyone else is grieving. Aldis, c’mon! Please! It’s bad enough Trick is doing this to get under Sami’s skin, but not you, too. Trick and Sami are going to have the title match at Backlash, and Sami can take back the title so we can all move on.

Aldis says Trick did throw it out there so fine by him. Backlash, Trick VS Sami in a rematch for the US Championship. Sami thanks Aldis, then heads out. And then Danhausen stumbles in! Aldis asks Danhausen if he’s alright, and he says yes, better than the Gingerbread Man. But didn’t you see what happened? Miz, Kit, Danhausen demands a match! Yes, okay, then at Backlash, it’ll be Danhausen in a match with #MizKit, if Danhausen can find a partner. Oh, no, that’s bad! Well, it’s the best Aldis can do. Danhausen says okay, he’ll try. … Oh, right, he’s to disappear. Okay, hold on, ow. Danhausen walks off, but can he find himself a friendhausen?

The Usos are in the concourse.

Tulsa is already fired up as Jey asks that they please, please, play their music! UH UH, YEET! The fans fire up even more as #BigJim & Main Event Jey are indeed in the main event! But will the Usos teach lil’ brother Solo a thing or two about respect? Or will MFT make sure they’re THE branch of the family tree?

Solo Sikoa & Talla Tonga VS The Usos!

SmackDown returns as MFT makes their entrance. The teams sort out and Talla steps up against Jey. They tie up, Talla THROWS Jey to a corner, but Jey fires hands in return! Jey winds up to SUPERKICK, but Talla stays up! Jey UPPERCUTS, but Talla LARIATS! Talla runs to ELBOW DROP! Jey sputters but Talla stalks him to the ropes. Talla steps on Jey, tags Solo, then steps off as the ref counts. Solo drags Jey up, HEADBUTTS him down, then talks trash. Solo mocks the “run it back,” then UPPERCUTS! Solo talks trash, but Jey PELES! Solo staggers, Jey runs up, and he RAMS into SolO! Tag to Jimmy, he runs up and SMASHES Solo!

Jimmy then CHOPS Solo, and CHOPS, then whips. Solo reverses but Jimmy BOOTS back! Jimmy goes up, leaps, but into the URENAGE! Solo roars, then sees Jimmy go to the corner. Solo runs up, HIP ATTACK! Jimmy sputters and flounders, Solo mocks the YEET, and SmackDown goes picture in picture.

Solo stalks Jimmy along the ropes, drags him up, and CHOKES him on the ropes. The ref counts, Solo backs off, but Talla gets a cheap shot in! Jey protests but Solo tags Talla in. Talla stomps Jimmy, stalks him, then UPPERCUTS! Talla whips corner to corner hard, and Jimmy slumps down. Talla drags Jimmy up, scoops him, then SLAMS! Jimmy writhes, Talla soaks up heat, then Talla stalks Jimmy back to the ropes. Talla stands on Jimmy to CHOKE him, but steps off. Solo gets a cheap shot in but the ref sees him that time! Solo hurries away but Talla drags Jimmy up. Talla SMACKS Jimmy off buckles, tags Solo, and Solo taunts Jey.

Solo talks trash to Jimmy, eggs him on, but hears the fans booing. Jimmy stands and he counter punches! And CHOSP! Jimmy runs, but Solo ELBOWS him down! Cover, TWO! Jimmy toughs it out but Solo clamps onto him by his ear. The ref reprimands but Solo stops. Solo waits on Jimmy to go to the corner, and Solo runs up to HIP ATTACK! Jimmy clutches his head while he bails out, but Solo tags Talla. Talla runs up to LARIAT Jimmy down! SmackDown returns to single picture as the fans boo. Solo mocks the YEET again while Talla drags Jimmy up. Talla puts Jimmy in, then stomps him down.

Talla stalks Jimmy, he tags Solo in, and Solo looms over Jimmy. Solo eggs Jimmy on, UPPERCUTS him, then stalks him to the ropes. Solo fishhooks Jimmy and tells him to stay on Raw! The Usos don’t belong on SmackDown! Solo whips, Jimmy grabs ropes and BOOTS Solo! But Talla LARIATS Jimmy down! The fans boo but Solo tags Talla in. Talla stalks Jimmy, stomps him again, then runs to drop the leg, brother! Jey coaches Jimmy but Talla is right on Jimmy for a neck wrench! The fans rally as Jimmy endures, and Jimmy fights up to his feet. Jimmy fires body shots, but Talla CLUBS him down! Talla then fireman’s carries, RUNNING SAMOAN DROP! Cover, TWO!

The fans cheer as Jimmy survives, but Talla runs to BLAST Jey! The fans boo again but Talla soaks up the heat. Tag to Solo and he winds up the thumb! Talla stands Jimmy up, but Jimmy ELOBOWS free! Jimmy then DUMPS Solo out! Jimmy dodges Talla, Talla hits POST! Jimmy kicks Talla out of the ring, then crawls as fast as he can! The fans fire up for the hot tag to Jey! The fans fire up as Jey dodges Solo, DIVES onto Talla, then hurries back up! GAMANGIRI on Solo and Jey climbs, CROSSBODY! Cover, ONE?! Jey ROCKS Solo, “YEET! YEET! YEET!” Then a pop, lock, and put some stank on the- NO, Solo clinches!

But Jey pops free of the urenage to SUPERKICK! Jey then ducks ‘n’ dodges to SPEAR! Cover, but Talla breaks it! Jimmy is back to SUPERKICK Talla! Jimmy helps Jey up, SUPERKICK on Talla! Then a DOUBLE SUPERKICK! Talla is still up, so The Usos run to DOUBLE LARIAT! Talla goes up and out, then Jimmy DIVES! But into an UPPERCUT! Jey leaps, but Talla SWATS him outta the air! Then Talla THROWS Jey into barriers! Talla THROWS Jimmy into steel steps! The fans boo, but Talla clears the desk! Talla soaks up the heat, but JACOB FATU LEAPS IN!!

Winners: Solo Sikoa & Talla Tonga, by disqualification

Fatu POSTS Talla, POSTS him again, and POSTS him again! And then Fatu has the steel steps to CLOBBER Talla! Solo and Fatu stare down, and Fatu storms into the ring. Solo says HE brought Fatu to WWE, what’s he doing!? “I love you, Solo,” remember that?! But then Solo notices the fingers are taped up! TONGAN DEATH GRIP!!! Fatu smothers Solo like he did Roman, but Talla is up! Fatu CLOBBERS Talla, then DIVES out, only for Talla to catch him! Talla uses the steps to get up, and he- NO! TONGAN DEATH GRIP!!! Then a fireman’s carry, SAMOAN DROP down through the desk!!

The fans are thunderous as Fatu stands tall! He’s wrecked MFT two weeks in a row, then goes to the ring. The Usos are on edge, the fans chant for “O T C! O T C!” Fatu geeks out, then simply pushes past The Usos. The Samoan Werewolf does not sweat Roman Reigns’ henchmen, and he even grabs a mic to tell them, “Tell Roman Reigns that I’ma dog walk his ass at Backlash! And if you ain’t know, Jacob Fatu is all gas, no brakes with it, YADADADADADA MEAN?! FATUUU~!” The warning has been issued, but how will the Tribal Chief respond?

Andrew’s JCW Lunacy Results & Match Ratings: Ep. 80

JCW brings us the fallout from Strangle-mania! Big Al needs answers and Steven Flowe’s betrayal is solidified!

Published

on

Last week they showed the replay of Strangle-mania instead of this newer episode. So since I covered Strangle-mania live, I didn’t lie about starting to cover the show.

Speaking of Strangle-mania, it was a fun train wreck. The match quality was awful, but I was entertained even though it started late and went til like 7am in Eastern time. The best thing to come out of Strangle-mania was J-Rod winning the Women’s championship.

Let’s see where they go with the show.

Ratings:

  • Green Phantom vs Facade: Facade wins via Ninziguiri – N/A
  • Guitar on a Pole Match: JCW World Championship: CoKane (c) vs Steven Flowe: CoKane retains via CokeSlam on the guitar – ** 1/2
  • Luigi Primo vs Father Bronson: Bronson wins via Cloverleaf – ***
  • Sicilian Street Fight: PCO vs Big Vito: PCO wins via Lariat – **
  • Caleb Konley Guest Ref: EC3 vs Kerry Morton: EC3…wins? – ***

Results:

Violent J and Vince Russo are arguing about J not telling Vince about signing EC3. J’s defense is hilarious because he says “You guys do a podcast together, I thought he was your boy”. Vince agrees with that EC3 is his boy, but he’s a wrestler, and they’re selfish. So Vince warns J that EC3 will show his true colors soon.

Jeeves and EC3 come out after the backstage segment. Jeeves and EC3 cut into Caleb Konley, call him Vince’s little bitch and calls Vince “shit stain”. Which is a Jim Cornette nickname for Vince. Vince’s music hits, him and Caleb come out, and Vince starts verbally running down EC3 and taking the hits personally. EC3 explains that wrestling is a giant cyclical work, so EC3 is trying to make some long drawn out joke about the Independent Contractor aspect of pro wrestling, Caleb cuts him off and takes some shots, including a dig on Control Your Narrative. EC3 tries to ask who Caleb is, he says he’s, “the guy who’s gonna knock him the fuck out”. They brawl for a few minutes and then some refs show up for the pull apart. Vince even gets a cheap shot in on Jeeves before the Carters bail.

Green Phantom vs Facade

Phantom starts with a promo about saving JCW and the World from crooks and cheaters.

Phantom poses, Facade hits him with a Disaster Kick he calls Ninziguiri and it’s an instant win for Facade!

That’s actually funny since Phantom is trying to act like the Batman of the locker room and gets insta-killed. Amusing way to slow roll whatever this dude is about.

Guitar on a Pole Match: JCW World Championship: CoKane (c) vs Steven Flowe

So this is a normal match, but whoever gets the guitar, can legally use it.

Flowe attacks CoKane immediately. Stomps a mudhole into CoKane, tries to continue but CoKane throws him to the ropes, Flowe hits the Headscissors but CoKane rolls through it. He hits those Knife Edge Uppercuts to rattle Flowe, Flowe reverses the Irish Whip, CoKane Flair Flips to the top rope and then Flowe Dropkicks CoKane out of the ring. Flowe tries for the Guitar, but CoKane cuts him off, but CoKane hits the Pele Kick to stun CoKane. Flowe keeps trying for the for the guitar, kicks CoKane back, but Kane grabs him. Sattelite counter, rope bounce, but CoKane hits the Coke Cutter to drop Flowe.

They brawl in the corner, Avalanche Spicolli Driver from Flowe. He turns around and grabs the guitar. Flowe swings, misses, gets grabbed for the CokeSlam, but turns it into a Triangle Armbar. He counters the Armbar by powering through and hitting the CokeSlam onto the guitar. CoKane wins!

After the match a very vocal CoKane fan, known as Hokane, hops the guardrail, and CoKane gifts her with some of his special mixture. Maybe CoKane’s getting a girlfriend.

We see The Outbreak in the back, Barnabas is trying to keep them clean but they have vials of Oxy and Barnabas goes crazy.

Luigi Primo vs Father Bronson

Bronson is about to show us what Red Love is all about. I like to call him the Creole Bray Wyatt, so let’s see what he does in his JCW debut.

He hands out roses to a few of the crowd members, not just specifically giving them to Juggalettes either, so that’s interesting. Red Love is for everyone. Oh he even tells the referee to hand Luigi a rose, asks Luigi to get out of the ring and they hand him a microphone. He puts the crowd over and then runs them down as repulsive. Bronson tells Luigi to take the rose and leave the ring. Luigi doesn’t leave, so Bronson kicks, Shoulder Tackles, tosses Luigi off and into a Scoop Slam.

Luigi fights back with a few pizza slaps, but Luigi counters a Hip Toss, but eats repeated knees from Bronson. While down Luigi spins the pizza, throws it to Bronson to distract him and hits a few kicks. Wants the monkey flip but gets caught, Bronson tries a Powerbomb but the Pizza covers his face into a Pizza Cutter. Luigi still tries the Monkey Flip, ad Bronson just tosses Luigi to the floor, ground and pounds him with the forearm digging across the face.

After a Scoop Slam, Luigi tries a few chops but Muy Thai Knees keeps Luigi reeling. Hip Attack from Bronson and another near fall. Bronson gets distracted with the referee, Luigi with his Pizza Combo, the dough is finally tossed away, Gamengiri into a Bulldog, Pizza Punch, but Bronson ducks it, and eats a few strikes from Luigi before getting dropped and locked into a Texas Cloverleaf, Luigi taps out.

Honestly, a solid match and decent debut to show off different aspects of his personality and offense.

Alice continued to wait for Dani Mo outside the venue and we see her ask Dani for answers, Dani says “you wouldn’t understand”, so Alice beats her ass and leaves her laying.

Sicilian Street Fight: PCO vs Big Vito

Slugfest start, PCO turns it around for Chops, PCO turns it around to clubbing blows and they’re just going from corner to corner throwing Haymakers. The Outbreak starts harassing the announce desk looking for more drugs, and it was only during more striking, so we’re not missing a ton in the ring. PCO and Vito collide into each other, PCO hits multiple chops into the Spinning Backhand Chop. Vito hits PCO in the Yambag, Lariats him down and chucks him into the corner. 2 Tuff Tony and Willi Mack walk out and start to beat the hell out of Vito. Street Fight mean NoDQ.

The Brothers of Funstruction in their Mafia gimmicks come out to get their pound of flesh as well. One Way sign and a Wet Floor sign in hand, Vito is getting dog walked. Yabo goes crazy with the wet floor sign, the others even stop him until Vito gets up and they let Yabo knock him the hell out with the wet floor sign. PCO lands the big Lariat, and PCO wins!

While it was overbooked, the fact the story was Vito hates everyone and pissed everyone off. Giving people an opening to beat his ass in a NoDQ match makes full sense.

Blast from the Past Highlights: Weedman & Billy Bong vs The Bashums

Vito gets a segment in the back after the fallout of the match, talks about how his Nephew will be there next week. He got held up at customs and then it’s on sight.

Caleb Konley Guest Ref: EC3 vs Kerry Morton

Caleb attacks EC3 before Kerry Morton even gets introduced. Extra referees come out to break up the fight. Kerry runs out, no music, he just attacks EC3. All three have issues with each other, so who knows who Caleb is really going to screw.

Kerry chokes EC3, gloats a bit but EC3 hits the Chop. Kerry pushes EC3 back in the corner, climbs the rope and clocks EC3 after a jerk off motion into the crowd. All of Kerry’s ego is giving EC3 time to recover and fire back. A few Chops from EC3 before Kerry turns it around with some strikes and a Back Rake. He grabs a Front Facelock, but EC3 powers up, Arm Wringer, Do-Si-Do into an STO. Kerry responds with a Rope Assisted Snap Suplex, a Fist Drop and a near fall. Kerry starts focusing on the legs, but Kerry is getting very distracted with everything. EC3 with the reverse Irish Whip, Kerry does the Flair Flip, runs the apron, flies and eats a punch to the gut. EC3 Lariats and Squashes Kerry in the corner. EC3 pushes Kerry out of the corner, looks to charge again but Kerry hits a Dropkick.

Caleb and Kerry jaw back and forth before Kerry kicks EC3. Kerry takes forever to go to the top, a big show, just to jump off the rope and taunt the crowd lock in a Headlock. Crowd is chanting for EC3, EC3 starts blocking the strikes from Kerry, strikes, Back Elbow, Thesz Press, and Kerry is reeling. Fireman’s Carry next but Caleb pulls Kerry down out of the move. Kerry crushes EC3 into Caleb, hits a DDT, but Caleb is still selling the ref bump. Kerry is slapping Caleb around to get him up, EC3 hits a TKO, for only a two count because Caleb refuses the three. EC3 with a Fireman’s Carry Facebuster, Kerry hits Caleb with the Kiss it Goodbye. EC3 and Kerry look for an alliance, but Kerry tries to trick EC3. EC3 hits the One Percenter, Jeeves acts like the referee, counts the 3 and…is it over? There’s no bell…so…EC3 joins commentary.

Caleb and Kerry are shoving each other, but then Green Phantom’s music hits as Kerry and Caleb shake hands. Kerry powders and begs off, but Caleb is still here. Phantom wants to shake hands with Caleb…but then kicks him, it’s Matt Cross! Cross hits the Open Road Cutter and it sounds like Kerry and Cross are working together.

Overall Score: 6.5/10

This was insane, but entertaining. EC3 playing a lot of inside baseball with the opening promo on Russo, claiming he’s gonna save JCW from Russo booking. Green Phantom looking like fool in his debut just to prove it was a ruse for Matt Cross to return to JCW to attack Caleb. Father Bronson had a really solid first bout. Got across his heel persona, easily hateable swagger and pretty solid move set. Very MMA flavored, and ending things with a Cloverleaf instead of a “finisher” helps to continue his mystique.

Vito having most of the Babyface Locker room come out and beat his ass during a Street Fight made a lot of sense. CoKane possibly getting a valet or tag partner since Ring Rat is now with Steven Flowe, could be solid foreshadowing. Big Al hunting for Dani Mo is a good little story for potentially number 1 contender against J-Rod.

There was a lot to like here if you enjoyed the old Wrestle Society X or ECW Hardcore TV programs. While the wrestling had it moments, it’s definitely not a show for “purists”. I was entertained though!
