AEW stars talk about the coming world title match.
Jungle Boy thinks back to Double or Nothing, 5/30/21, “As soon as the music hit, to hear that roar immediately, it just felt like this was gonna be okay.” JB won the Casino Battle Royal and earned his shot. Excalibur says that Kenny Omega, these last few months, “has become increasingly unhinged.” No one knows how much Omega has deteriorated, but Excalibur feels JB has a very good chance walking out the new champion. “The last time we were on a Saturday, Mr. Brodie Lee shocked the world and became TNT Champion. Jungle Boy, he might be Mr. Saturday Night.” That will have to be seen to be believed! Can JB do it?
The Young Bucks and Brandon Cutler speak.
Matt Jackson says, “Greetings and salutations! Look who it is! It’s the Young Bucks! Y’know, the tag team that all the trolls and haters call overrated.” That doesn’t make sense since they’re longest reigning AEW Tag Team Champions in comedy history. That’s right, over 230- Shut up, Brandon. Nick lets Matt continue. What’s made this run even more special and different is the aggression they bring out of their opponents. The Bucks don’t just beat you, they hurt you. Give ’em the list! Yeah, SCU- Shut up, Brandon! They took out SCU. SCU L8R. Jon Moxley. The Bucks’ kids are way cuter than his baby. Rey Fenix. Sorry, amigo. Pac! That poor bastard.
It feels SO good taking out these pricks! Who’s next? Next week! Penta and Eddie Kingston face them, and if they somehow win, they get a title shot at these! But that ain’t happening! Kingston & Penta aren’t a real team! They’re just two singles guys who got thrown together and they said, “Oh look! A team!” Like taking table scraps and trying to pass it off like a gourmet meal! Nick will keep that, Brandon had a good idea. And they know why the Bucks are so certain, right? It’s simple: They’re EVP’s! Extremely Violent People. Maybe Kingston & Penta will be next on the list. BAWK BAWK! See you then!
Tony Schiavone and Tully Blanchard are in the ring.
A legend in wrestling, the manager of FTR and The Pinnacle, one of the Four Horsemen, is here! And Schiavone is honored to welcome a lucha libre legend, the one and only KONNAN! Konnan makes his way out to the ring, stares Tully down right away, and Schiavone has things stay peaceful as a “gentlemen’s discussion.” Tully says the last time he saw Konnan, he was trying to interfere in a situation in a bar room. But because of his legend status, Tully says it is his pleasure to let Konnan go first. Oh, so we’re playing games already? Konnan heard Tully imposes his will on people, but he won’t be intimidated.
Neither will Proud ‘n’ Powerful, Santana & Ortiz. They’ve been stabbed, shot, kidnapped, strangled and left for dead. They’re still here, because that’s how they’re built. Konnan tells Tully that FTR tried to say they had the same upbringing. They’re from North Carolina, “where men are men and the sheep are scared,” but Konnan explains this: It’s not the same thing tipping cows and getting into bar fights and barn fights, and all that vegan beef you have out there in the woods, as it is surviving the streets of New York, enduring racial profiling while gang members hunt you down every day, with men of color are incarcerated at five times the rate as their White brethren.
Now Tully is a mentor to FTR. Konnan is a father to Santana & Ortiz. Tully wants his turn but Konnan says hold on, he hasn’t heard it all yet. When Santana so elaborately put it that he lost his biological father, Santana went to Konnan. Konnan was that missing ingredient like arroz con pollo. That’s Spanish, so learn it, Tully, because one day, you’re gonna have to learn to communicate with your grandkids, wink wink. Tully knows very much about Spanish, and very much about Konnan cuz he did his research. As great a star as Konnan was, he obviously doesn’t know who he’s dealing with.
Tully has news for Konnan: FTR will be out here and Konnan will be flat! That’ll be all Konnan ever did! One time on AEW Dynamite, one big moment, and then it was over with because FTR ended the game. Well then let Konnan say one more thing: when this is all said and done, Tully will be happy to know Walmart is still hiring greeters. And also, remember that PNP are like scarecrows: outstanding in their field. 5150, hasta la muerte! And since Konnan figured Tully would have his guys, Konnan has his guys! C’mon out, boys! Santana & Ortiz makes their entrances first, but Tully says, “I’ll tell you what.” He knew a bit about Konnan, and so look at the big screen!
PNP are already down and out backstage?! The two that came out were FTR IN DISGUISE! They attack Konnan! Tully tells them to finish this, and they get Konnan up for the MIND BREAKER!! NOW WHAT, BIG BOY!? Tully and FTR mock Konnan and the Inner Circle, and mockingly pray for forgiveness. Fans boo as The Pinnacle gets the upper hand on The Inner Circle again tonight, will there be a much more violent response?
Matt Sydal w/ Mike Sydal VS Dante Martin!
A rematch from Dark classic on YouTube, surely this high-flying, physics defying showdown will be dynamite! But while the third eye guided Sydal to a win then, will Angel Dorado flip more than just the script on him?
“EXCUSE ME!!” Oh no, Vickie Guerrero is managing Top Flight now?! She knows the fans were waiting to see this match but she is here to introduce to us the future of AEW, Andrade El Idolo! Oh, well, alright. Andrade struts his way out to the ring, and Vickie says they have a HUGE announcement to make. But Vickie’s cut off by the Sydal Brothers making their entrance. Vickie keeps Andrade calm, and they let their announcement wait for later. Matt Sydal gets in the ring with Dante and the bell rings!
Sydal and Dante get face to face, circle around and then tie up. Sydal waistlocks, headlocks, shifts to a hammerlock, then to a facelock. Dante slips out to get a facelock of his own, but Sydal wrenches and wrenches. Dante headlocks to a takeover, but Sydal fights up. Sydal has the arm, wrenches again but again Dante headlocks. Sydal shifts to a wristlock to arm-drag out, then he wrenches again. Sydal steps through, snapmares but Dante handsprings to flying-mare! Cover, TWO! Sydal keeps his cool as fans rally for “Top Flight!” Sydal KICKS a leg, Dante gets to a corner, Sydal KICKS him again! Sydal drops knees on the knee, then does it again. Dante kicks Sydal but Sydal comes back with a STANDING MARIPOSA! Cover, TWO, and AEW goes picture in picture.
Sydal keeps on Dante, brings him up but Dante throws body shots. Dante ROCKS Sydal, then catches him for a spin and scoop, INVERTED SIDEWALK SLAM! BASEMENT DROPKICK! Cover, TWO! Dante keeps cool as he paces about. Sydal sits up, Dante brings him up to put in a corner for forearms. Dante whips corner to corner, Sydal reverses and back elbows! Sydal whips corner to corner now and follows up with a clothesline! Sydal goes corner to corner to SLIDING KNEE! Dante flounders, Sydal gets the legs and hooks them up for a Bow ‘n’ Arrow! Dante endures being bent back, reaches and fights, and gets free. Sydal keeps hold of the leg to SMASH the knee!
Dante clutches his leg while Sydal grits his teeth. Sydal gets Dante up, reels him in, cobra clutch Russian Leg Sweep! To the Cobra Clutch Stretch! Inverted Half Crab! Dante fights with his good arm and elbows Sydal away! Sydal goes to a corner, Dante runs in but Sydal BOOTS him down! Dante flops out of the ring, Sydal goes out after and fans fire up! But Dante rolls back, headstand to headscissors! Mike checks on Matt as AEW goes back to single picture. Dante crawls away while Mike coaches Matt up. Matt drags himself up and into the ring, as does Dante. Fans rally, Matt gets the legs for a figure four, modified Deathlock! Dante crawls back and gets the ropebreak!
Sydal lets go, firers himself up and gets Dante up. Dante throws body shots, Sydal CHOPS and CHOPS, but Dante blocks a kick to CHOP back! Dante KICKS away on Sydal’s leg, blocks another kick and pops Sydal up to a fireman’s carry and DEATH VALLEY BOMB! Cover, TWO! Sydal survives but fans rally and duel. Dante goes to a corner, Sydal runs in but Dante slips out to the apron. Dante ROCKS then GAMANGIRIS Sydal! Dante jumps and jumps, TRIANGLE QUEBRADA! Cover, TWO!! Sydal narrowly escapes and bails out while Dante catches his breath. “This is Awesome!” as both men are on opposite ends of the same corner. Dante climbs, Sydal climbs, they start brawling!
Dante CLUBS Sydal, adjusts position, but Sydal fights him off! BACK HAND sends Dante down! Sydal adjusts, METEORA SMASHER! Cover, TWO!?!? Dante survives and Sydal can’t believe it! Fans rally up again, Dante crawls and Sydal runs in, but Dante ducks the kick! Dante swings, misses, but comes back with a HIGH sunset flip! TWO!! Dante hurries to his feet, and TIGHT SPIRAL STUNNERS!! Cover, TWO!?! Sydal still survives and Dante is beside himself! Dante climbs a corner, but has to leap over Sydal! The leg jams, Sydal ROUNDHOUSES! LIGHTNING SPIRAL!! Cover, Sydal wins!
Winner: Matt Sydal, by pinfall
That was definitely a level up from their first showdown, but it was still Sydal’s victory! But is this still a sign of the bright future Dante has?
Jungle Boy speaks.
“I’m gonna go ahead and say that tonight feels like maybe the biggest night of my entire life.” Before he can elaborate, Christian Cage walks over to say it IS going to be the biggest night of JB’s life. JB asks if Christian’s alright, given the issues with Matt Hardy. Yeah, Matt will be around, but tonight is JB’s night. Is he happy? Yeah, but nervous, too. Understandable. JB shouldn’t be happy yet, he should be pissed. There are those who think JB doesn’t deserve to be in this position, and that includes Kenny Omega. Everything JB’s done, every sacrifice and accomplishment, has led him here. Kenny’s saying the things he’s been saying because he sees JB as a threat.
Christian tells JB that he already “shocked the world” once by winning the Casino Battle Royal. Now it’s time to shock them again by winning the world title! JB thanks Christian for those words, but will they help him overcome The Cleaner and his conniving crew?
Mark Sterling and Jade Cargill speak.
“The monetization of the marketing multiverse is rolling on with #JadeBrand.” This week finally got them an agreement with AEW Shop and a 10% off deal on both of Jade’s merch shirts. Use the code, “THATB” and don’t ever say she never did anything for you. You could get something like this Dark Order shirt for full price, but why would you want trash like this? Mark can’t rip the shirt so Jade takes care of it for him. And Mark is just now learning that they’ve sold “a ton,” and almost completely out of the XXL, which makes a lot of sense because they’re wrestling fans. But if you buy one of the two shirts, you can look like the star that she is.
Jade corrects Mark there: She is one of a kind, and undefeated. No one looks like her, because she is THAT BITCH. Will Jade rip through the competition just like she did that shirt?
Alex Marvez interviews The Pinnacle.
Specifically, he is here with MJF, Wardlow and Shawn Spears. MJF interrupts, mockingly saying he didn’t realize fans tuned in to listen to Marvez. Oh wait they don’t! They tune in for him. “Thanks, pig vomit.” But hey everybody! There’s a part of MJF deep down, aka pinkie toe, that knows the fans are upset over his attack to Chris Jericho’s already damaged elbow. There’s also part of him that sees why they’re a smidgen upset that his good friend, The Chair Man, bashed Sammy with that chair. That was great, though! High-ten. But the one thing MJF can’t wrap even his beautiful brain around is why we’re upset over what MJF did to Dean Malenko.
Allow MJF to be honest since we can’t be honest: Dean is so old, when he was a kid, rainbows were in black ‘n’ white. That’s northwards of 60, with a bad heart and Parkinson’s. Now do fans really think someone in that state should even be involved in an industry as dangerous as pro-wrestling? Fans throw rocks when they should be throwing flowers and thanks. MJF gave Malenko what he deserves: an early retirement. You’re welcome, Dean. But here comes the Inner Circle! Jericho and Jake Hager, the only ones left, fight The Pinnacle 3v2 and things spill further backstage! MJF throws what he can but Jericho hits him back with a trash can!
Things start going towards gorilla and fans fire up as Hager brawls with Wardlow AND Spears on the stage! Then to the ring! Jericho hurries after them, MJF scurrying around like the rat he is! Spears goes after Jericho but Jericho throws hands! MJF wraps a sleeper hold on but Jericho fights off! Spears goes after Hager while Jericho mugs MJF! Jericho DECKS Wardlow! MJF knees low and throws hands again but Jericho keeps going. Wardlow stomps Hager, but then helps MJF mug Jericho! Fans boo, MJF boasts while Wardlow and Spears keep going. MJF digs his boots into Jericho, then gets the bad arm! Spears brings in a chair!
But here comes Sammy Guevara! He wasn’t beat up as bad as Pinnacle hoped! GAMANGIRI to Wardlow, SPEARS to Spears! Wardlow drags Sammy up but gets a JUJMPING KNEE! And a CHAIRSHOT!! MJF steps up but runs away before Sammy can get him! Spears staggers up into a CHAIRSHOT! The Spanish God has gotten just some of his vengeance, but he gets a mic to shout at MJF! “Hey, a**hole, you messed with the wrong guy! On Wednesday, everybody finds out what I already know: That they chose the wrong guy!” The wrong guy for the action figures, for the posters. MJF loves to say he’s better than someone and you know it? Because he is!
Oh well guess what, b*tch, Sammy will show us why he is the BEST EVER and you know it! Will the Salt of the Earth lose his grit when Sammy grinds him into the dust?
Miro speaks.
“Before I get to Brian Pillman Jr, I want to thank God for keep making me powerful and my hot wife flexible.” Miro promises to use his power only on those who deserve it. People who try to prevent him from helping a woman in need, or people who try to attack him for no reason. People like BPJ. “Brian, you may be ranked number one in the tag team division, but you’re about to find out that standing between a righteous man and his path is like standing between a cleaver and its meat.” BPJ did not respect his champion, and they’re going to talk about that next Wednesday on Dynamite, 1v1.
“You are going to find out why I am the redeemer, why I am God’s Favorite Champion!” Go ahead and lie to the world and say you’re not afraid. But we know that the bravest thing BPJ has ever done is thinking about attacking Miro. The stupidest thing was actually doing it. Will the Best Man prove why he’s the worst person to face in the ring?
Ethan Page w/ Scorpio Sky VS Bear Bronson w/ Bear Boulder!
All Ego is feeling good after he and the Face of the Revolution won a 2v1 that Darby Allin still almost won. But with Bear Country reunited, will Bronson maul Ethan to drop the Men of the Year down to one man?

Ethan gets a cheap shot in! But Bronson just scowls at Ethan. Bronson puts Ethan back in the corner for furious fists! The fans fire up but the ref counts, and Bronson lets off at 4. Bronson whips Ethan to ropes and CLOBBERS him with an elbow! Ethan sits up in a daze, Bronson brings him up but Ethan stomps Bronson’s foot! Ethan kicks low, mocks the bear claws, then pie faces Bronson. Ethan runs but into a POWERSLAM! Cover, TWO! Bronson keeps his cool while Ethan goes to an apron,
Bronson has Ethan and bumps him off buckles, then brings him back the other way to bump him again! Bronson stands Ethan up and fans want that “One More Time!” and Bronson hits Ethan off more buckles! Ethan staggers, Bronson DECKS him! Bronson builds speed, but Scorpio gets Ethan out of the way to take the BEAR TOPE! The ref reprimands Scorpio for that but he’s already paying for it. Ethan staggers up and avoids Bronson, but Boulder is right there! Ethan shouts to the ref that Boulder touched him! The ref keeps Boulder back, but Bronson grabs Ethan! Scorpio CLOBBERS Bronson from behind!! The Men of the Year whip Bronson hard into railing!
Fans boo but Ethan and Scorpio get away with things! Ethan grins as he stalks up to Bronson and rains down rights. The ref reprimands, Ethan lets off to soak up the heat, and AEW goes picture in picture.
Ethan drags Bronson up and bumps him off the apron. Ethan puts Bronson in the ring, stomps him down, and then wraps on a rear bearhug! Bronson endures, Ethan squeezes tighter, but Boulder rallies the fans and coaches Bronson up. Bronson fights free with elbows and both men slowly rise. Ethan dodges Bronson in the corner and ROUNDHOUSES! Ethan runs, rams Bronson with a shoulder, then runs to run Bronson over! Ethan shakes out the arm but gets up to soak up more heat. Ethan mocks the fans booing him and blows them a kiss. Bronson slowly rises as AEW returns to single picture. Ethan reels Bronson in but Bronson back drops free! Bronson gets to a corner as fans rally up, and Ethan hurries over. Bronson throws haymakers and counter punches! Bronson backs Ethan down with forearms, then whips him to a corner! Bronson runs in to SPLASH, and then fires up with the fans! Bronson stands Ethan up to point-blank BOXING LARIATS!
Bronson shoves Ethan to pop-up SPINEBUSTER! Fans fire up with Bronson again as he runs to BACK SENTON FLOP! Ethan avoids Bronson, gets him up and goes for another bomb, but Bronson back drops and SITS on Ethan! Cover, TWO!! Ethan survives being squashed but fans rally up for “Bear Country!” Bronson hurries to a corner, climbs up, but Ethan ROCKS him first! Ethan climbs, CLUBS Bronson on the back, then gets Bronson up for a SUPERPLEX!! Cover, TWO!! Ethan can’t believe it, but he hurries to get Bronson up. Bronson can’t believe Ethan lives! But he drags Ethan to a drop zone and heads up top again! Fans rally but Scorpio distracts! Boulder yanks Scorpio down to fire off hands! But Ethan LOW BLOWS Bronson! The ref misses that, but doesn’t miss the EXTRA LARGE EGOS EDGE!! Cover, Ethan wins!!
Winner: Ethan Page, by pinfall
The Men of the Year watch each other’s backs and that gave All Ego the edge over Bear Bronson! Scorpio says, “That’s my guy!” Ethan takes the mic to say, “I’m not stupid.” Fans chant, “Yes You Are!” Ethan says no he’s not. Because he knows for a fact that Darby Allin isn’t done with him. And to be honest, pinning Darby is not enough for him, either! Ethan’s said week after week after week that HE is going to be the nail in Darby’s coffin! Ethan will be the nail in Darby’s coffin! So why not just put Darby in one? July 7th, Road Rager in Miami, Ethan VS Darby… IN A COFFIN MATCH!! What a deadly way to start AEW’s red hot summer! Will the Relentless One find a way to survive?
Britt Baker talks with Reba/Rebel.
What are some of the things they’d love to ask for? A new car! A yacht! A football team! Maybe a million other things if Tony Khan owed them a favor. But no, Vickie Guerrero goes and asks for a wrestling match! She’s senile already, isn’t she? And Britt’s checked but there’s no insurance that can cover the amount of damage she and Rebel are going to do to her! And Britt already said she’s the face of a whole new era, and that new era has no time for fun ‘n’ games, and certainly not old ladies who think they belong in the ring. Britt doesn’t care who Vickie is, “and excuse me in advance for beating your ass next Wednesday in our tag team match.”
But don’t worry, Britt will send Vickie home with a nice prescription, signed Dr. Britt Baker, DMD. But aren’t they forgetting who is in that match with Vickie? Speaking of which…
Vickie and Nyla Rose respond!
“Britt and Reba, our tag team match is just the appetizer to solidify that Nyla Rose is the #1 contender for the AEW Women’s Title.” At Fyter Fest Night 2, July 21, they’re coming for the title. So be ready! And as for next week, Britt is locked in with the Beast, but you gotta watch out for the claws of the Cougar! Will the Vicious Vixens get a taste for Britt Baker blood before battling for the belt?

Kris tumbles to the floor, Bunny goes around the way and runs in to SHOTGUN Kris into railing! Bunny laughs while Blade shouts at Orange Cassidy that they’re nothing without Best Friends, Trent & Chuck! Bunny stomps Kris and CLAWS her as AEW goes picture in picture.
Bunny sneers at Cassidy, puts Kris in the ring, and stalks Kris to a cover. TWO, and Bunny is annoyed. Bunny stomps Kris, then isolates the hands to stomp the fingers! Kris crawls to ropes but Bunny is on her with a clinch and whip into a buckle! Kris flounders in the corner, Bunny frolics around, then runs in to SLIDING FOREARM! Bunny laughs right at the camera then pushes Kris to a cover. TWO, and Bunny is annoyed again. Bunny rains down fists on Kris, but lets off just as AEW goes to break.

Bunny runs in around the way again, into a SPINNING POWERSLAM! Blade is shocked while both women are down! Blade shouts at Cassidy to stay back but Cassidy is still at his corner. The ring count climbs, Kris sits up first and gets in at 5 of 10. Bunny stands up at 6, gets in at 7, and fans rally up as this continues in the ring. Kris and Bunny glare at each other and the haymakers start flying! Faster and faster, Kris gets the edge and fires off CHOPS! Kris fisherman BUSTERS! Cover, TWO!!
Bunny survives, Blade coaches her up, but Kris stands Bunny and gut wrenches. Bunny elbows that off, runs, but into a BLUE THUNDER BOMB! Cover, TWO!! Bunny still lives and Blade is relieved! Kris drags Bunny to a drop zone, climbs up a corner, but Bunny gets up to SUPER GERMAN SUPLEX Kris off! And SUPERKICK! Cover, TWO!! Bunny can’t believe Kris survives! Cassidy is pissed and hits back but here come The Hybrid2! The Hardy Family Office’s newest thugs- er, members, mug Cassidy! TH2 sit Cassidy up for Blade to take the knuckles back! Blade puts them on, and CRACKS Cassidy across the jaw! TH2 let Cassidy drop and they stand over Cassidy with Blade. With Trent out for neck surgery, is there any chance the Best Friends will ever make the HFO pay?
Schiavone interviews QT Marshall backstage.
The Factory’s leader talks about last week where Brock Anderson beat them in his debut. How touching, Father’s Day weekend and all, and Brock giving daddy Arn a big hug. But it gets better! TNT votes Brock Anderson “Wrestler of the Week.” But a couple weeks ago, QT pins Cody Rhodes, but he gets nothing. Though, QT gets it, QT’s daddy isn’t the Enforcer. Schiavone moves things to the upcoming South Beach Strap Match at AEW Dynamite: Road Rager.
Yeah, that’s in a couple weeks, but let’s talk about tonight. Cody isn’t here doing the work like QT! Yes, Cody has Hollywood running around, so maybe someone casts Cody in one of those “geeky superhero movies” so we never have to see Cody again! Then and only then can QT achieve his dream of becoming champion in AEW! Will QT take out all his bitter frustrations out on the American Nightmare?
Brian Pillman Jr. speaks.
“The big bad bully of AEW, God’s Favorite Champion, Miro?” Well sounds to BPJ like Miro has a messiah complex. But Miro isn’t here to save anyone. Miro just picking fights with those he thinks he can beat to boost his own ego. BPJ has a complex, it’s called being born on the wrong side of the tracks and fighting for everything he’s ever had! That means fighting for his friends. Miro picked a fight with BPJ, and on Wednesday, BPJ will check that ego and take that TNT Championship! Will Bulletproof also be Miro proof and get himself some gold?
Eddie Kingston, Penta El Zero M and Alex Abrahantes speak.
“Matt ‘n’ Nick, are you serious? You’re gonna talk about taking people out?” Took out Fenix, took out Pac, took out Moxy. You guys aren’t built like that. You took them out in wrestling. You didn’t take them out IRL. Kingston’s done that! Y’all gonna challenge Kingston and his once again best friend and talk about taking people out? Kingston learned something about the Bucks. It doesn’t how hard they punch them or kick them or hurt them, the Bucks really care about their egos. Those tag team titles feed their egos. So the only way for these two to hurt the Bucks is to take the titles. And that means first taking them out. Let ’em know, best friend!
Penta speaks to the Bucks in Spanish, and Alex translates that “Young Bucks, you talk a lot about all those that you’ve run over. Well next week, we run over you!” CERO! MIEDO! Will the Bucks put their money where their mouths are? Or will they be too busy getting their teeth kicked in to do it?
AEW World Championship: Kenny Omega w/ Don Callis VS Jungle Boy w/ Jurassic Express!
The Cleaner may deny it up and down that he cheated to defeat two men in one match, Jungle Jack Perry outlasted twenty men fair and square! But now things are 1v1, and for all of Omega’s obnoxious behavior, all his bravado while picking fights and running away, he has to step toe to toe with Jurassic Express’ Tarzan boy! JB knew that was coming, but Omega still trips JB up! Omega throws JB into railing, brings him around to throw into more railing, and then drags JB up to put him in the ring. Omega takes his time returning, brings JB up and throws him back out. Fans boo Omega as he stalks JB and AEW goes picture in picture.
Omega gets JB up to whip him, but JB slips through the corner! Omega hurries to find JB but JB SHOTGUN dropkicks Omega down! JB gets up, gets back in, but then comes back to SHOTGUN Omega again! Fans rally for JB as the ring count climbs and JB drags himself back to ringside.
Omega paces as JB manages to get in the ring at 7 of 10, but Omega CLUBS JB down in the corner. Omega digs his boots in, the ref counts and Omega lets off at 4. Callis says this is why Omega is still the God of Pro-Wrestling! Callis’ biased opinion aside, JB got a lot closer than Omega would’ve ever given him credit for. The HFO and The Elite are standing tall over all their enemies! And now Hardy hits TWIST OF FATE on Captain Charisma! Private Party mocks Christian looking for the peeps while the Bucks and Omega stand over Jungle Boy. Is this going to be the natural order of things in AEW forever?
My Thoughts:
Another awesome episode! And it’ll be the last non-Wednesday Dynamite for some time so it really went out with a bang. We got great promos to set up the return to Wednesday, from the Bucks & Cutler calling out Kingston & Penta and vice-versa, to QT Marshall hyping up the strap match, to Sterling hyping up Jade’s merch, to Miro and BPJ calling the other out. Britt & Rebel had a very good one, with the smart detail of them ignoring Nyla because they assume they can beat Vickie that easy. Nyla & Vickie had a very good response promo, and I’m thinking Nyla gets the win off Rebel to hype up their title match, which is good to know that it’s going to be Fyter Fest Night 2.
Hangman VS Hobbs was a great opener, and naturally it helps advance the story of Brian Cage VS Ricky Starks at the same time. Hangman wins to stay strong as top contender, as has been his story lately. Hangman is surely on his way to a title match by All Out, as should be the case. And I sensed before that Cage VS Starks was going to be settled in a match for the FTW Championship, and Starks bringing that belt to ringside and trying to use it on Hangman was definitely the official foreshadowing in this story. Winner is champion and stays in Team Taz, loser is kicked out. For that reason, I feel like Team Taz actually chooses sides and helps Starks since Cage isn’t wanting to join in the Heel tactics anymore.
There was a lot of great stuff with The Pinnacle and Inner Circle tonight. Spears’ ambush “before” the show was a good way to set the tone for the rest. Tully and Konnan had a good face to face that of course wasn’t going to stay civil, and while I could tell it wasn’t PNP walking out, it was still a very well executed bait ‘n’ switch on that. This is definitely setting up Santana & Ortiz for the win over FTR in the continuing Best Of series. At the same time, we got a great brawl of the other faction members, but Inner Circle standing tall here makes me think Sammy loses to MJF so that Sammy can beat Spears and then Jericho beats MJF to top this off.
I like that Vickie and Andrade tried to interrupt a match with their announcement, only for it to fail. I feel like that immediately sets up Sydal Brothers VS El Idolo & his mystery partner, which is surely the announcement they’ve been wanting to give. Sydal VS Dante was another awesome match, following their first one on Dark a few weeks ago. Bear Bronson is very much the same, he and Ethan Page had a great match. But of course Ethan wins, he is staying strong so that he and Darby can have their blow-off. A Coffin/Casket match is definitely the perfect choice here, and I guarantee that Scorpio will try to help Ethan, cuing Sting to return and stop that. It might not sit well with Darby, but it’d be quite the shocker if we got Darby VS Sting after this.
Statlander had a very good match with The Bunny Allie, and there was good stuff with Blade and Cassidy getting involved. Statlander wins so she can stay strong in the top 5, but the HFO stands tall over Cassidy to further a rivalry with Best Friends & Friends. And after things with HFO and Christian after the main event, I think Best Friends are going to be allies with Christian to take on Hardy, Private Party & The Blade. And speaking of the main event, we got a good video package and good promo from JB and Christian to hype it up, but the main event speaks for itself. It was amazing stuff, made this episode feel as special as the coming July streak, and there was great “overbooking” with Jurassic Express and Kaz going after The Elite to keep things fair. Omega wins, of course, because he’s going to be the one Hangman takes on at All Out, that is just the way this story should go.
My Score: 9.3/10

Adam Copeland is here!
The fans fire up and sing along as The Rated R Superstar makes his entrance, complete with the pyro but also a black eye. Cope goes to the ring, he grabs a mic, and he tells Seattle, “If you couldn’t tell, Dynasty on Sunday didn’t necessarily go our way. Yes, my face got messed up, way to go, Einstein. I got glue in my forehead, staples in my forehead, I got a shiner. Let’s face it, FTR… They said what they were gonna do and they did it.” The fans boo but Cope says they got to Christian, too, that’s why he’s not here. Christian’s gotta get an MRI on his forearm to see if it’s broke. The fans also boo that.
Cope says FTR gave his wife a piledriver. They took Christian’s watch! And in Christian’s world, that’s actually worse! There are three things you don’t mess with when it comes to Christian: His watch, his wine, and his women. In that order. But FTR, on Dynamite, you came out and said that while you’re the champions, Cope & Cage will not get another title shot. The fans boo again, but Cope says he is cooking an idea on that so bear with him. But if FTR thinks that this is just about titles, that C&C are just gonna walk away cuz they didn’t win at Dynasty, they’ve watched C&C’s careers and think that these two are just gonna walk away?
Do you think that they’re just gonna tuck their tails and run? The fans say “NO!” Cope says that is NOT what they do! Christian was forced to retire for seven YEARS! He busted his ass and he got this back! The fans cheer that, and Cope says he was retired for NINE YEARS, told he can never do this again because if he fell over, he could die! But Cope is standing here, full o’ piss ‘n’ vinegar! C&C are like dogs on a bone, and they will END FTR and take their pound of flesh! The fans cheer, but then FTR makes their way out here. Cope is ready to fight, but where are they? FTR walks out on stage, and Stoke has the mic as he smiles at Cope.
But then RPG VICE rush Cope, just like last week! Cope is ready this time and he fights off Rocky & Trent, but now FTR joins in! The fans boo this 4v1 mugging with Stoke cheering them on! But wait! The Young Bucks rush out here! Matt & Nick Jackson rush the ring, and they dodge FTR to CLOBBER RPG Vice! Then DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for FTR! RPG Vice go after The Bucks, then send them at each other! The Bucks reverse to LARIAT Rocky, then they DOUBLE SUPERKICK Trent! Cope SPEARS Trent down and the fans fire up! Cope snarls as he stands back up, and he shakes hands with The Bucks as thanks for the help.
Cope & The Bucks stare FTR down as FTR retreats, but will The Bucks and C&C have to fight it out to go after those tag team championships?
Jack Perry speaks.
“At Dynasty, I got my first taste of what it’s like to defend this championship. And it’s exactly what I’ve been waiting for. But Don Callis, you only got close enough to get a sniff, because I beat your biggest, baddest and most dangerous, Mark Davis. But after what you just did to the Young Bucks, well, I wanna shove this up your big, stupid, spray-tanned nose. So why don’t you go ahead and pick your favorite goon out of the bunch and meet me next week in Portland so that I can add another notch to my belt as the National Champion.” Jungle Jack has thrown out the challenge, but who will be up to the task?

Our power, everlasting. She is the Colossal Lena Kross. She is the Megasus, Megan Bayne. And we are the Divine Dominion.” Who dares step to their throne next?

Backstage interview with Don Callis & Kazuchika Okada.

Now, given how that match went, is the deal still on? Callis can get Okada out of this, there doesn’t have to be a title match. Okada shakes his head and says he is not going to back down. He wants this match! Okada knows he can beat Takeshita, because Okada is a champion! Unlike Takeshita!

Shida tells “Shirakawa-san” in Japanese that it must be nice to get this far just on looks! Mina is pissed but Kris keeps the peace.

Another fight, another dirty tactic! But in the end, even Windsor fell into the Toxic Spider’s trap! Will anyone ever get wise to Thekla’s tricks? Or will AEW always be toxic?
My Thoughts:
A great Collision, though kinda hard to follow that great Dynamite from last night. A lot of these matches felt like filler, but because it’s AEW, they even make filler go above and beyond. Pac VS Lio was actually the first real display of this “Problem Child” persona that I really liked. Lio got to show more personality, and seeing Pac & Garcia be afraid of Lio really helped sell the character. Great win for Pac, though, and maybe he goes for the TNT title next. Brody, Mistico y Dorada of course won their match, but again, they made the squash match a fun match. Them mentioning Bandido and Supercard of Honor was nice, it means they care about ROH on some level.
Very good opening promo from Cope, but of course FTR had to show up. RPG Vice attacking again was redundant, but The Bucks making the save was a nice change. Makes me think we’re getting an 8 Man Tag, FTRPG Vice VS Cope, Cage & The Bucks, and that somehow leads to the tag title match for Double or Nothing. Great tag match from The Bucks VS The Rascalz, and even a good move for The Dogs to go after those teams. I wonder if The Dogs and even The Rascalz get in on the tag match. Five, maybe even six teams, all fighting for the titles, that’d be awesome stuff for Double or Nothing, and a great way to give The Bucks their historic fourth reign.
Kris & Shida had a very good tag match and of course they won, but I like Mina accusing Shida of being whodunnit. Shida is certainly being two-faced, but who knows if she’ll be chosen as the one who took out Toni Storm. Great Six Man Tag from Conglomeration VS Lethal Twist, and of course The Conglomeration won. Great Continental Championship Eliminator, and great showing for Nick Wayne in his return to Dynamite. I still think he needs more to do with the ROH World TV title, but hey, they could use this to say Nick won some respect from Moxley. The story still feels like Moxley and Ospreay will run it back at Double or Nothing.
And as I figured from last night, Thekla was gonna cheat to win and keep the title. It was a great main event, but there might be something bigger in store for Double or Nothing, like a Triple Threat against both Brawling Birds.
My Score: 8.8/10

PLAY BY PLAY
Renee Paquette is waiting in the parking lot.
She lets us know that AEW Management has been trying to let MJF know for the past three days that Darby Allin has demanded his AEW World Championship opportunity for tonight. A car pulls up, and MJF has arrived! Renee gets his attention, and brings up Darby’s win at AEW Dynasty. MJF stops her there, because he doesn’t get why we’re talking about Darby Allin, the guy he’s beaten three times, and once with a headlock takeover. No, what we’re gonna talk about is THE world champion, the most important champion in all of pro-wrestling today, the guy who has beaten the likes of Bandido, Brody King, Kevin Knight, Mike Bailey!
The man who has made sure that Hangman Adam Page can NEVER, EVER be AEW World Champion again, and the man who kicked out of a One Winged Angel like it was nothing! Honestly, a very ineffective move. A man who beat your boy, “Kenny BAH GAWD Omega,” fair and square in the middle of the ring! Nobody can stop #BigHebrew! But Darby has- Don Callis interrupts and he shakes MJF’s hand! What a match! He destroyed Kenny Omega! Just as Callis knew MJF would. Enjoy it, champ! MJF says Callis is a mench. Not just that, The Mench of the Cench (as in Century). Callis says sorry about the Andrade thing, though, but take care.
MJF asks what Callis means by that. Well, Darby beat Andrade. Wait, what? MJF thought Andrade won. No, didn’t MJF watch the match? NO, he was preparing for his own match! Well, Andrade… MJF stops Don there. He loves Don to death, this isn’t Don’s fault, it’s on his boy. However, now Callis owes MJF one. Now, this isn’t the favor, but Callis does need to tell Andrade on MJF’s behalf that he is NOT ever gonna be championship material because the man doesn’t get the job done when he needs to. MJF reiterates that he loves Don, and he says bye, Renee, he’s outta here. But then Renee shouts at MJF to just listen!
Darby Allin won his match at Dynasty, making him #1 contender, and he wants that match TONIGHT. Does he understand!? What?! Tonight?! When?! Renee chuckles as she says, right now. WHAT THE WHAT?!? MJF is furious, he just arrived! Does MJF even stand a chance? Or has Darby gotten one over on The Devil of AEW?
AEW World Championship: MJF VS Darby Allin!
MJF panics as he shouts, “NO! NO! NO! Cut the music! Cut the gaddamn music right now!!” The fans boo but MJF storms down to the ring. MJF says if the “little emo freak” thinks for one solitary second that MJF is defending his title in an impromptu that he just found out about three seconds ago, then Darby is as stupid as he looks! The fans boo but MJF tells them to shut up! Maybe the people are too braindead to understand how much money MJF has. If he doesn’t want something to happen, it won’t happen! MJF will get his lawyer, he’ll sue “that skank, Aubrey,” he’ll sue Darby, he’ll sue “that pervert, Justin Roberts!”
MJF will sue Tony Khan, sue AEW, sue Warner Brothers, and every single one of these freaks who decide to live in the dumpster fire that is Washington state! The fans chant “Ring The Bell!” MJF mockingly asks back, “Ring the bell? You wanna see the match right now?! Do you wanna see this match?! Too bad! My back hurts from wrestling close to an hour against Kenny Omega only three days ago. Speaking of legalities, I wonder how our company would look if they forced me to wrestle tonight with an injury. That’s not a good look. Darby, I’m gonna go get checked out by the trainers in the back, but frankly, I’m doing you a favor by not wrestling you.”
The fans boo more, MJF’s mic gets glitchy, so he trades with Justin Roberts. MJF says he is doing Darby a favor. Let’s talk the elephant in the room: Darby is very talented, a great underdog, the fans love him! They really do. But the reason they love you is because you’re like them. You’re good, but not great. Like the fans, you’re not championship material. Darby, with love and respect, and MJF does mean that, you’re not ready to be- Darby snatches the mic from MJF! Darby is worked up already as the fans cheer him on. “All it takes is one night to drop the wrestling world’s on its head! If I’m not ready now, I’ll never be ready!”
The fans cheer Darby on as he says, “I kill myself for this company. Monday, I hung posters all around this city. I taped posters all around the city for tonight’s show. I climbed Mount Everest and I hung that flag on top of the world! The scars, the blood, everything! I’m ready! I’ve been ready! My career started ten miles down the road, at the Buddy Wayne Academy. And I took a deep breath my first day of wrestling school, and I said I was either gonna make it as Darby Allin, or I’m gonna fail as Darby, but I’m not changing a single thing!” The fans cheer that, too! Darby says tonight, he climbed to the top of this sport, and he didn’t change a thing! RING THE BELL!
The fans are fired up again but MJF says first off, relax, we’re not doing that. But then BRYAN DANIELSON speaks up! The fans cheer as Bryan tells MJF and Darby that he just got a message right from Tony Khan. And Tony Khan actually agrees… with MJF… It is unfair for MJF to wrestle when he is unprepared. And Max, that is why Tony will give MJF plenty of time to prepare, because this match, this AEW World Championship match, will be in tonight’s MAIN EVENT! The fans cheer that! MJF is furious, because that’s still only 90 minutes! MJF protests, but the fans cheer “YES! YES! YES!” Bryan says if MJF refuses that match, he will be STRIPPED of the title!
MJF is furious, but Darby turns him around to say, “Tonight in the main event, I’m beating your ass with a headlock takeover!” Darby throws down the mic, having thrown down the gauntlet! Will everything come full circle for the Relentless One?
AEW shares footage from after Dynasty.
Tony Schiavone waited outside the trainer’s room and spoke on the amazing night and amazing main event. He has Kenny Omega here, and he says he knows it was a heartbreaking loss. How is Kenny doing? Kenny isn’t sure what to say, he has nothing. He is sorry about that. Schiavone says that’s alright, just take care of yourself. Doc Sampson helps Kenny walk through the door, and Will Ospreay is also getting checked out. Kenny says, “Look at us, Will.” Ospreay feeling okay? Not really. Welcome to the club. Things didn’t go their way tonight. Not one bit. Not how they pictured it. Kenny feels he let everyone down.
Ospreay gets that, but he wants Kenny to think about it. Ospreay was there in the Tokyo Dome back in 2017 when Omega lost to Okada. Omega doubted himself, but he bounced back and climbed up the mountain. Yeah, but that was almost 10 years ago. Omega isn’t sure how much time he has left. But Ospreay does have time. He has the heart of a wrestler. AEW, pro-wrestling, it’s all Ospreay from here on in. Omega believes Ospreay can take it back. Ospreay’s got this. Ospreay says they still have this.
Now, Ospreay is dejected, sad, crying for about the last 40 minutes. But his dream and his ambition are still being AEW World Champion. He hopes Kenny hasn’t given up that dream, either. Omega can do it. Ospreay stands up, says he always has Kenny’s back, and gives him a pat and kiss on the head. Ospreay says Omega’s his hero. They shake on it and Ospreay heads out. Omega thinks on that. Omega is Ospreay’s hero, huh? Then maybe he can’t give up. The Best Bout Machine has a lot to think about, but will he rebuild and redeem himself just as before? Or will it take a bit more than determination to reclaim that former glory?

Another singles victory for Ciampa, but he demands the mic. “This was the example. Why? Because I’m sick of waiting. I want it all. I came to AEW because this is where the best wrestle, and I want all of the gold. And if I’m not making myself clear… Darby Allin, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, whoever wins… the Psycho Killer is coming for the AEW World title!” Then he PUNTS Dez outta the ring! His shadow knows his story, but will Ciampa’s future be the top of the mountain?

FTR is here!
Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood are still the AEW World Tag Team Champions as they and Stokely Hathaway make their way to the ring. #BigStoke is all smiles as he hands the mic to Dax. Dax says he’s read a lot of the chatter online, he’s heard all the complaints, and it seems to him the fact that FTR has won again makes all of the fans angry. Hey, he gets it, he understands why they’re angry. They love an underdog story! They love an underdog story because they think they can relate to it, they feel they can relate to the underdog. But the fact is, they’re not underdogs, they’re just losers! No, seriously, they’re just losers! Fat losers!
And speaking of losers, FTR gave Adam Copeland & Christian Cage a brush with relevancy, and those two couldn’t get the job done. So Cope, Cage, Dax is talking to you: As long as FTR are the AEW World Tag Team Champions, C&C will never get a shot at these again! Stoke says he has been told that supposedly, all the fans are educated people? The fans chant, “NO HOES!” Stokely says he don’t need hoes, he has the AEW World Tag Team Champions. But before he was so rudely interrupted, he has been told that “the sickos” know everything about everything! They know about pro-wrestling, about sports, about politics, about history, religion!
So then clearly, they all know the story of David VS Goliath! And the two men that Stoke has in this ring, this is Goliath! And he is here to tell us, that there are a lot of Milli Vanillis, a lot of wannabe Davids! From #Brodido to the Bang Bang Gang to even Matt & Nick Jackson and Cope & Cage! Stoke is here to say that every time David steps up to Goliath, he gets b*tched out. Stoke feels there is no more competition here in AEW! Tony Khan will surely do what he does best and go to CMLL or NJPW, sign every CHUD he can to put in the division, but the results will be the same: they all will fall to the giants known as F T R!
Cash says beautifully said, Big Stoke. Now, if the fans would do FTR a favor and please, he’s asking nicely, let them pay homage to the careers of Cope & Cage. Now that FTR has put an end to them, they would like to have a moment of silence. Please, if you would… The fans boo instead. Cash says please, a moment of silence. And then it’s one second. Now, for those of you in attendance with the benefit of flash photography, FTR won’t give you five seconds, they’re feeling generous. They will give you a ten second pose! The fans boo but FTR does their best “Barry Allen over Oliver Queen’s grave” style pose.
The ten seconds are up and Cash thanks Seattle, they’ve been great, have a great night. The fans boo more, but FTR is moving on with the belts. But is there really no team in AEW that can take these #TopGuysOut?

Winner: Kevin Knight, by pinfall (still AEW TNT Champion)
The Jet may have felt like an underdog champion, but he proved he is a rightful champion! Knight gets a mic to say, “Yo, yo, yo! Everett, Washington! Y’all miss me?” The fans cheer for that! Knight says shoutout to Claudio, by far one of the hardest hitting dudes, one of the strongest opponents Knight’s ever had. Give it up for Claudio. The fans do cheer Claudio, and Knight says he won’t let that stop him. The Jet is looking good, feeling even better, as your NEW TNT Champion, baby! The fans cheer for that, too. Knight says before he won this, he did lose the trios titles. Speedball, Knight knows you’re beating yourself up over that, but don’t take it personally, he doesn’t blame you.
And as they say, when one door closes, another one opens. Sometimes you gotta slow down to speed back up, and The Jet is riding high, baby! The fans cheer again, and Knight says tonight, there’s a big one with Darby Allin VS MJF for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship! And well, Knight will keep a close eye on that one, because #Jet2Belts sounds #2Fly! Knight is ready to add even more golden luggage to the flight log, but will his flight plan be headed for The Scumbag from Long Island? Or will it be the hometown hero in Darby Allin?
Renee Paquette is in the ring.
Spring Breakthru returns as she says to welcome the legendary Chris Jericho! The fans cheer as The Demo God, The Ayatollah of Rock ‘n’ Rolla, The Nueve, Y2J makes his entrance. Jericho gets pyro while he struts down the ramp and the fans sing along with Judas. Jericho joins Renee in the ring, and Renee says it is so good to see him, and the fans are sure happy to see him. Jericho fires the fans up more and they chant his name. Renee says maybe not everyone is happy, since last week, Ricochet came out here and said Jericho would be rusty. Clearly, from the match on Sunday, that is not the case. How did Jericho feel his first match back?
Jericho know show he feels being back in Everett, Washington tonight. But he feels so happy to be back in AEW. It was great to be back in the ring at Dynasty. One of his favorite matches in a long time, in front of a great crowd. Even though Jericho lost, he didn’t loss because of rust or overexcitement, it was because he was outnumbered 3v1. The fans agree with that. Jericho still gives credit where credit is due, congrats to Ricochet for probably the biggest win- Oh, well, Ricochet makes his way out here, The Gates of Agony by his side. Ricochet has a mic to tell the fans to sit down, shut up, and listen! The fans chant “BALD!” instead.
Ricochet then tells Jericho that he meant every single word when he said he respects Jericho. And after that valiant performance at Dynasty, Ricochet respects Jericho even more. But Jericho didn’t listen to Ricochet at all, did he? No, he signed his contract and got himself hurt, just like Ricochet said Jericho would. And on top of that, Ricochet had to do it! The opportunity was in the palm of his hand, so he had to take Jericho out with his own move, the Lionsault! Or what will be renamed “The Ricosault.” The fans boo that idea, but Ricochet says he gives Jericho credit, Jericho didn’t completely embarrass himself. He did pretty good, but just not good enough to overcome the rise of Ricochet.
The fans tell Ricochet to STFU, but he says he’ll be out here all night if he wants! But as he was saying, Jericho wasn’t good enough to beat Ricochet, so maybe do yourself a favor and quite now while you’re ahead. Well, unless… Jericho is the king of reinvention. The Lionheart, the guy in the suits with the big words, the Demo God, the light up jacket, we’ve seen it all! So here’s an idea: Jericho becomes the guy who gets his ass beat by The Demand every single week he shows up! The fans boo again, but Ricochet says the fans must like that idea. Jericho can stick around after all and have the best run of his entire career!
Jericho asks Renee to please step aside. Jericho says first off, “The Ricosault?” That’s brutally bad. Secondly, bald. The fans chant “BALD!” But Jericho appreciates Ricochet coming out here, bald, and giving him some insight, because Jericho really respects Ricochet’s opinions, bald. The fans cheer and laugh, but Jericho continues by saying he knows what the game is here, weird shaped head. Ricochet is on stage with his goons, dumb and ugly, and they’re gonna back Ricochet up no matter what it is he says or does, bald. So here’s a proposition for you, bald. Why not leave his goons, dumb and ugly, on the stage, come on down here, bald, and face Jericho 1v1 right here in Everett, BALD!?
The fans fire up for that idea, but Ricochet says don’t think he doesn’t see what Jericho’s doing! He knows what Ricochet’s saying! Jericho doesn’t get to call Ricochet bald, and he’s not afraid to face Jericho 1v1! Well, Jericho feels Ricochet is too scared, and bald, to come down here. Ricochet says fine! Liona, Kaun, stay up here, and no matter what, let Ricochet handle this 1v1. Do not help him no matter what, understand? Ricochet drops the mic, takes off the jacket and the vest, and so does Jericho. Ricochet rushes the ring, Jericho dodges him, and then HIP TOSS! Jericho runs, and he LARIATS! The fans fire up but Ricochet waves to his guys!
Jericho stomps away, GOA run in, but Jericho fires hands! That’s still 3v1, so much for Ricochet honoring the deal! The fans boo, but The Demand let off, only for Jericho to go after them again! Jericho gets mugged again, then they CLOSE THE GATES on Jericho! The fans boo harder but then Ricochet gets an idea. LIONSAULT! The fans boo again, but now The Demand stand tall. Will Jericho have to go back to the drawing board to gameplan a way to defeat Bald, Dumb & Ugly?
AEW shares more footage from after Dynasty.
Renee Paquette found Don Callis & Kazuchika Okada to ask them what happened out there against The Young Bucks. Callis says what happened was that there was a 2v1 situation, two Bucks, one Rainmaker! But then Callis spots Takeshita and confronts him. What happened? The Alpha says that was an accident. Oops. He’s so sorry~! Takeshita mocks Okada, Okada throws his armbands at Takeshita, then insults him in Japanese. Callis says it’s okay, they’re not done, they’ll work this out. But is Callis the one who needs to work out that things aren’t okay in the Don Callis Family?
Will Ospreay VS Hechicero!
The Aerial Assassin told Kenny Omega to keep his chin up, and surely Ospreay is taking his own advice. Will the #BillyGOAT get back on the horse by taking down the CMLL World Heavyweight Champion? Or will the Alchemist of Lucha simply add insult to injury?

And in his horrible Espanol, Callis says, “Todos los personas del Everett, Washington that is muy, muy stupido, from the great country of Mexico…! Es un cabra muy super intendoooooooo~! YO! SOY! Ospreay ducks ‘n’ dodges to RANA! The fans fire up while Hechi bails out!
Ospreay gets the fans to join in with “OI! OI! OI!” then he goes to the ropes. Ospreay PLANCHAS and brings Hechi down! The fans fire up as Ospreay stands tall while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Ospreay shakes out his arm, then he stomps Hechi. Ospreay stands Hechi up, throws him into railing, then CHOPS him to the corner. Ospreay ROCKS Hechi, then brings him around, only for Hechi to fire body shots. Ospreay fires back with forearms and UPPERCUTS. They go around the way before Ospreay puts Hechi in the corner. Ospreay warns Callis and even Lance Archer, then he BOOTS Hechi down. Ospreay leads fans in taunting Callis, then he bumps Hechi off buckles. Ospreay climbs up and he rains down fists! Ospreay goes all the way to TEN, but Hechi lifts him off the corner! Ospreay fights free, and WHEEL KICKS Hechi down!
Ospreay drags Hechi around, steps through, and has the FIGURE FOUR! Ospreay shows he can do technical wrestling, too! Hechi endures, even as Ospreay puts on the pressure. Hechi CLUBS the leg, twists the foot, but Ospreay puts on more pressure! Hechi reaches out, and makes the ROPEBREAK! Ospreay lets Hechi go, then stomps him down. Ospreay steps through on the spinning toehold! Ospreay ELBOWS Hechi down, then stalks him to ropes. Spring Breakthru returns to single picture as Hechi fires a body shot, but Ospreay fires a forearm! They trade shots, and Ospreay spots Marina Shafir in the crowd.
Ospreay warns The Problem, but Marina says she’s just here to watch. Ospreay whips but Hechi reverses to duck the kick, and pump handle Ospreay into a modified abdominal stretch! Hechi then scoops Ospreay, but Ospreay slips free and waistlocks. Hechi switches, Ospreay switches, repeat! Hechi hammerlocks and swings Ospreay around, MAD SCIENTIST BACKBREAKER! Hechi then shoves Ospreay to a corner and JUMP KNEES in the back! The fans are torn while Ospreay falls, and Marina acts unimpressed. Hechi covers, TWO! Hechi whips and SPINEBUSTERS Ospreay, then steps through for the spinning toehold! Hechi then steps over to TWIST Ospreay’s arm! Then Hechi pushes Ospreay down for the NECK TWIST! The fans boo but Hechi runs to WERCK Ospreay with the dropkick! Ospreay is on the floor and Marina chuckles. Hechi puts Ospreay in the ring, then hooks up the legs. Callis says fine, on to Plan B! What does that mean? Callis says you’ll just have to wait and see. Ospreay stares Marina down, seemingly wanting her to send a message to Moxley. But wait, MARK DAVIS LARIATS OSPREAY DOWN! Plan B is more like Plan D, as in Dunkzilla! COUNT TO PAIN!! The piledriver takes Ospreay down! Will #DangerousDavis prove to be hazardous for Ospreay’s health?
Renee Paquette is on stage.
She says this has been an incredible night for Spring Breakthru, but then Thekla immediately interrupts from… somewhere… with a whiny, mocking, “No~, niet~, nein~!” The Toxic Spider creeps in from up in the crowd, and she tells Renee that Renee looks good tonight. But not a single person here paid to see Renee flap her lips, when the Toxic Spider is in the house! The fans do cheer Thekla, and she says she just wanted to remind everybody that she marched into Dynasty THE AEW Women’s World Champion, and she defeated the great Jamie Hayter. “I beat her ass good!” And then she walked out still the champion.
Y’all better get used to that! Because this industry is filled with nothing but dumb b*tches! But then Alex Windsor storms out on stage to interrupt Thekla! “Did you really think I was gonna let you say that you actually beat Jamie Hayter? No, no, no, and I’m certainly not gonna let you waltz around tonight when I should beat the piss out of you right bloody now!” Thekla says wow, wow, wow. She says the word “dumb b*tch,” and one magically appears! Why is Alex so angry? Don’t blame Thekla that Alex’s best friend lost, or that her husband lost for that matter. Alex tells Thekla that she’s forgetting she’s not the only champion.
You are looking at THE NJPW Strong Women’s Champion, Alex WINDSAAA~! The fans cheer, and Alex asks if Thekla wonders what they say about her in Japan. What do they say in Japan? They don’t call Thekla a champ, they call her the girl who was stupid enough to get herself fired! Oi, oi, oi, mate, chill yer balls, oi! Thekla didn’t get fired. Well, okay, she did. BUT…! Only because they couldn’t handle her, just like no one in AEW can handle Thekla! Oh, nobody can handle Thekla? Okay, alright. Windsor gets in the ring, and says she’ll handle Thekla right now! How about NO~! Alexa says fine, champ, have it your way.
How about Thekla puts that lovely title on the line, and Alex will meet Thekla back here on Collision? Alright, Thekla likes that. But then The Sisters of Sin rush in from outta nowhere! But Alex HEADBUTTS Skye and LARIATS Julia! So much for that sneak attack! Thekla still smiles, then hurries off before Alex can rush the crowd! Will Thekla take out both Brawling Birds in the same week? Or will Alex make herself a double champion?
The Death Riders speak.
Jon Moxley says he actually likes surprises. Someone like Will Ospreay, who he’s known and studied for a long time, doesn’t surprise him. Marina Shafir walks in and Moxley asks how Ospreay looked. Rough? Green around the gills? Oh, yeah. Maybe Moxley has a talent for seeing exactly how all the dominos fall, maybe he just gets lucky, or maybe he just pays more attention. But Ospreay showed Moxley his cards, they were on the table, so don’t get mad at Moxley. Contrary to popular belief, Moxley doesn’t take pleasure in the suffering of others. Though, there can be beauty in it. Moxley prefers life over death, light over darkness, but you don’t get one without the other.
What was that kid’s name again? Nick Wayne. Right, tomorrow is the biggest night of Nick’s life. Continental Championship Eliminator on Collision. Moxley doesn’t know much about Nick, so please, please, surprise him. But this is Continental Rules, adult stuff, for grownups. So please, leave Mommy in the back. Will The Prodigy prove he can man up and do things on his own? Or will Moxley just add him to the long list of names of those who can’t keep up?

Another match, another night where Willow snatches victory from the jaws of defeat! Another comeback killed, and we cut backstage to see Kris Statlander & Hikaru Shida applauding. Shida congratulates their great friend on another great victory. Doesn’t Stat agree? Shida interrupts Kris before she can even start, going on in Japanese, then goes back to English to say that last Saturday, Shida & Stat made a great team! Two AEW Originals! Kris keeps wanting to talk but Shida seems to compliment herself in Japanese. Shida says they will keep it going on Collision tomorrow night! She can’t wait! So, see you there, Kris!
Shida leaves before Kris can say anything, but will actions speak louder than words when The Galaxy’s Greatest & The Shining Samurai step back into the ring?
Backstage interview with Darby Allin.
Renee walks ‘n’ talks with the #1 contender, and says this is it: AEW World Championship. The stakes don’t get higher than this. Any last words before he goes out there? Darby stands tall in his hometown, family and friends here to see it with their own eyes! And of course, IT’S STIIIING~! Sting howls in celebration for Darby and the fans join in! The blood, the glass, the fire, the climb, not just up Mount Everest but in AEW, it was ALL worth it! Will AEW be all in on Darby Allin?
My Thoughts:
An awesome Dynamite to not just be Spring Breakthru but to follow Dynasty. I loved how they played this with MJF and Darby Allin. MJF didn’t pay attention to anything, not even texts and calls form AEW, the entire time he was celebrating his win over Omega, so of course Darby’s challenge caught him off-guard. Now granted, I thought MJF VS Darby was going to be the main event from the start, but Bryan Danielson getting to give that news was a nice way to bring him into this. I know AEW doesn’t like to copy WWE, but there should be a GM to make these decisions. That said, I also love how they played the main event. The takeover as the pinfall was perfect, given the history between Darby and MJF, and what a great moment for Darby to celebrate with all the Faces, Sting included.
Great match from Ciampa VS Dez, and Ciampa wanting right at the top works just fine for him. Ciampa never got to be top champ on WWE main roster, or even compete for it, but he’ll make a great AEW main eventer. Great TNT Championship match from Knight VS Claudio, great win for Knight, and maybe not surprisingly, he again throws his hat into the world title picture. I feel like challengers for the TNT title should be keeping him busy instead, but maybe Ciampa VS Knight establishes a clear contender going into Double or Nothing. Great TBS Championship match from Willow VS Kamille, and Willow getting another win via backslide is good story. Her arm is bad, Kamille is tough, a quick pin teases they could do this again for Double or Nothing.
Very good promo from Kris & Shida right after the TBS title, even with it being Shida talking nonstop and Kris left uncertain about the team-up. They’ll surely win their match on Collision but I feel like the team is already going to fall apart and set up a match that sends one of them after a title. Thekla and Windsor had a very good promo, and setting up a Women’s World Championship match is great stuff. I would think Thekla cheats another win, or at least tries. Jamie Hayter could back Windsor up, only for the Sisters of Sin to complicate things. Not sure what the title match for Double or Nothing is going to be, though…
Great promo from Omega and Ospreay, great match from Ospreay VS Hechicero. It was a little scary when Doc was checking Ospreay’s neck, but maybe that was just them playing up the injury for story. And with Don Callis Family picking on Ospreay again, I wonder if Omega backs Ospreay up and they have another team-up, but against Don Callis Family. Though, that feels like rehashing old material when you think about it. Moxley had a good promo, and pretty clear he’ll beat Nick Wayne, but there might be more with Death Riders and Ospreay. I wonder if there’s a possibility of a Triple Threat Tag, Omega & Ospreay VS Moxley & Claudio VS Mark Davis & Hechicero, just so all stories can be told at once.
And very good stuff with Jericho and The Demand. Another hilarious and brilliant promo from Jericho, but of course he gets beat up 3v1. Again, Jericho either gets another faction going, reunites an old one, or at least has a team-up with someone who also dislikes The Demand. But in the end, we know this will result in Ricochet VS Jericho 1v1 again, Jericho gets his win back, and that compels a tiebreaker. Not exactly the Jericho Vortex but it’s not not the Jericho Vortex.
