SoCal Uncensored speaks.

“First we introduced ourselves in New York City” when they ambushed and beat down The Bullet Club’s Hangman and Young Bucks. Then they made it clear what they were after in Philadelphia with another ambush, going after the legs of Matt & Nick Jackson. And even when Hangman rallied other allies in the American Nightmare and Villain, SCU still came out the winners. Now, Scorpio Sky & The Addiction get their shot at the ROH Six Man Tag Team titles, but “what do you think is gonna happen?!” The Bullet Club’s end is near, and you can hear a new chant approaching. “S C U! S C U!”
But the Bullet Club responds.
Nick is so excited for tonight, but why? Because they get to go after SoCal Uncensored. Matt heard that, and that it’s for their fresh new belts.

After SCU attacked them from behind twice, tonight is about revenge. Hangman shouts, “You jumped my brothers from behind! Tonight, I break ALL your legs!” He’ll break all six legs, all six arms, and all three backs and necks! Good intensity, man. The Bucks like it, but remember, kids: BTE is Drug Free, and that’s the way to be. Can the Superkick Party keep the trios titles Addiction free?
Flip Gordon VS Jay Lethal!

The leader of #FlipArmy has always impressed, win or lose. But now he’s up against one of the best in the Franchise Player! Lethal wants back towards the ROH World Championship, can he jump over Flip on his way there?

The fans love “Both these guys!” Especially when both men uphold the Code of Honor. The bell rings, and the two circle. They tie up, Lethal gets the headlock. Flip powers out but Lethal runs him over with a shoulder. Lethal goes and things speed up. Flip flips over Lethal but Lethal sweeps the legs. Flip avoids that cover completely, but Lethal sweeps the legs again. Lethal covers this time, but Flip slips out and wraps an arm for La Mahistrol. Lethal counters into his own cover, TWO and Flip finishes the Mahistrol, TWO. They stand up, Lethal Injection– No! Flip blocked the impact with a handstand!

He shakes his fingers to say, “No no no” while the fans applaud that amazing save. They tie up again, Flip gets the headlock and control while we go to break.
ROH returns to Flip giving Lethal forearms and chops. Lethal falls back into a corner, and Flip brings him back out. Flip goes to whip but Lethal holds ropes, so Flip forearms him back down. Flip backs off while the referee checks on Lethal. Lethal is good to go, so Flip whips him corner to corner. Flip runs in and hits a flipping dropkick. The fans applaud the agility as Flip goes again and hits again. Flip wants one more, and so do the fans. He goes corner to corner agani but Lethal dodges! Flip hits buckles but tumbles back onto his feet. Lethal gets the waistlock but Flip elbows out. Flip runs but into a hip toss, Lethal cartwheels but Flip rolls away. Lethal keeps moving for a spinning forearm!

Flip goes down but the fans applaud. Lethal covers, ONE, but Lethal keeps his focus. He brings Flip back up and gives him a sharp chop. Lethal keeps on Flip in the corner with forearms and stomps, then another sharp chop. Flip goes to another corner, Lethal whips him hard corner to corner. Cover, TWO, but Lethal keeps on Flip with knee drops to the back. Another cover, TWO, and now Lethal grows a bit frustrated. He lifts Flip and hits a backbreaker, TWO! Lethal insists that count should be faster, before grinding a knee into Flip’s back for a grounded clutch. The fans rally for Flip as he endures. Flip gets up and to his feet but Lethal clubs him back down. Flip swings a kick, Lethal ducks but Flip hits the second! Lethal tumbles out of the ring, and Flip sees his chance. Flip builds speed and DIVES!

Just like Lethal, Flip gets back in to build speed again. Lethal comes in and boots Flip, not letting the young star steal his signature trick. Flip rolls out of the ring, and Lethal decides to show him how it’s done! He builds speed and hits the first DIVE!

The fans want the second, and Lethal rolls back in to build speed. Flip enters the ring after him, and SUPERKICKS him! Lethal rolls back out, Flip builds speed again, but has to abort halfway when Lethal slips back into the ring. Lethal builds speed but even he has to abort when Flip slips in. He hurries back onto the apron but Flip catches him with the elevated 619!

Lethal falls to the ground but stand back up. Flip mule kicks Lethal from the apron, then climbs a corner for a SUPER Corkscrew Asai!

Fans fire up as Flip takes Lethal down and we go to break.
ROH returns again and both men have reentered the ring. Lethal shows he’s serious now by taking off his elbow pads and wrist bands. Flip matches him by taking off his own elbow pads. Lethal throws the first forearm but Flip responds. They glare at each other before Lethal throws another, and Flip throws his response. Lethal chops, Flip chops back! Another chop from Lethal, another chop from Flip. Lethal gets a single leg takedown but Flip kicks him away with the other. Flip stands up but Lethal brings him back down. Lethal goes for the Figure Four but Flip counters with the small package, TWO! Lethal mule kicks and calls for his move. He handsprings, Flip follows, Flip hits the Spring-Blade!

The fans fire up as Flip lifts Lethal into the fireman’s carry. Lethal slips out and shoves Flip to ropes, but Flip uses ropes to hop up and over Lethal as he slides. Fireman’s carry again, Flip hits the Samoan Pop! Then he rolls Lethal to his feet to rock him with a Pele! Cover, TWO! Flip was close but Lethal wasn’t dual ROH World Heavyweight and World TV Champion for nothing. The fans rally while Lethal rolls to a corner, declaring “This is Awesome!” Flip drags Lethal up and then hoists him to the top rope. He chops Lethal before jumping up, but Lethal shoves him away. Flip runs back in but into a boot, but Flip still gets to the rope to hop up and hit Kinder Surprise!

Lethal sits back while Flip climbs up. Flip grabs at Lethal but Lethal slips under, and carries Flip in powerbomb position. Flip goes to counter with a huricanrana but Lethal blocks that with strength! Lethal transitions into the Figure Four!

Flip flails and reaches, and gets the ropebreak. Lethal lets go and the two make it to their feet. Lethal kicks the leg and Flip hobbles away. Flip dodges the second kick and responds with a forearm! Flip cycles between chops and forearms, then gives a kick and back elbow to another forearm. Lethal responds with his own stiff back elbow, but then Flip responds with a jumping knee strike! Flip runs, but his leg gives out on the springboard! Lethal takes advantage to full-nelson and dragon suplex!

Handspring, Lethal Injection!

Lethal wins! Another valiant effort from Flip but the Franchise won’t be stopped on his way back to the world title.
Colt Cabana interviews Jay Lethal on the ramp.

Cabana has some “interesting news” that he must share with him. On March 9th, in Las Vegas, Nevada, aka the home of the ROH Anniversary Show, “just officially announced”, Jay Lethal VS Dalton Castle for the ROH World Championship! Lethal was saying it already, “I will be the two-time Ring of Honor–” Marty Scurll appears?

The Villain would like to know “who’s giving out title matches? Who’s making decisions around here?!” Scurll reminds us that in his time here, he’s had zero chances at the ROH WHC. Lethal tells Scurll, “There’s a reason that I’m the #1 contender!” Lethal has a long list of people he’s defeated, “and in case you don’t remember”, Scurll is on that list as of Final Battle 2017. Scurll says that if Lethal’s so confident, “when you beat Dalton Castle”, Scurll wants to be first to challenge him. What does Lethal say? Lethal being “a man of the people”, he’ll give the people what they want. When Lethal beats Castle, he’ll have “no problem” beating Scurll again. That’s just perfect for Scurll. The Villain leaves, willing to wait for his opportunity. Can Lethal hit the jackpot and defeat the Peacock in honor of ROH’s 16th Anniversary?

The WOH Tournament continues!
ROH’s Women’s Division is making history by crowning its first ever Women of Honor Champion! The Exotic Goddess defeated the Queen Bee to be the first one in.

Tonight, Mrs. American Nightmare takes on a former Victory Pro-Wrestling Women’s Champion to see who will be the second woman into the second round. Brandi knows she is the “number one underdog in this entire tournament”, given that she’s only been a pro-wrestler for about two years. However, she trains hard day in and day out, making gains every match. As for Karen, she feels she is the one and only woman fans need to focus on. Brandi respects Karen, she is so skilled and intelligent. Karen lists the number of great victories she’s gotten, from the Gatekeeper, Kelly Klein, to the Virtuosa, Deonna Purrazzo, so the veteran, Sumie Sakai.
Brandi points out that Karen isn’t the reason why Brandi finally got her first win. The reason why Brandi won is because she was able to overcome Karen’s distractions. Karen was trying to make Brandi lose so this match wouldn’t even happen. Karen vows she won’t be stopped, but Brandi says she has everything to gain from this tournament. After all, who doesn’t love a good Cinderella story?
WOH Championship Tournament Opening Round match: Brandi Rhodes VS Karen Q!

As her theme song says, Karen Q wants to be nothing but “Victorious!” in this tournament. Will she add a new Women’s Championship to her record? Or will Brandi move on to represent the Bullet Club as WOH Champion?

One thing’s for sure, Karen shows no mercy. She attacks Brandi while she’s standing on the ropes! Karen forearms away while the referee hurries to ring the bell. She bumps Brandi off buckles then throws in more forearms. Karen whips Brandi corner to corner but Brandi goes up and over to arm-drag Karen. Brandi has Karen in an armlock but Karen gets to her feet. Karen whips Brandi but Brandi hurdles over her. Brandi kicks Karen then knee strike. She whips Karen and drops her with a dropkick. The fans applaud while Karen gets to a corner. Brandi storms over but Karen yanks her into buckles. The fans chant for Brandi while Karen stomps a mudhole into her. Karen shouts that she wants everyone to focus on her while she goes after Brandi. She puts Brandi in a corner, then chops before grinding in a boot. Karen backs off but then comes back to grind her boot back into Brandi’s face.

She backs off at 4, then embraces the heat as she goes to the opposite corner. Karen uses her diving and gymnastics skills to handspring and tumble corner to corner for the forearm smash. She keeps going and hits a back heel kick, then runs again for the boot! Brandi drops down but Karen fires up and throws Brandi with an exploder suplex! Karen has control while we go to break.
ROH returns to Karen still in control. Brandi is down, Karen runs to the ropes, somersault senton into standing moonsault!

TWO, and Karen grows frustrated. She drags Brandi over while fans rally. Karen climbs up to the top rope, takes aim and leaps, but her Frog Splash flops when Brandi rolls away! The fans rally for Brandi again while both women slowly stand up. Brandi blocks and responds then chops and chops Karen, she even gives a bionic elbow!

She keeps going, whipping but Karen reverses. Brandi dodges the double ax handle, and hits a Slingblade! Cover, TWO! She drags Karen up, but Karen gets the takedown. Brandi shoves Karen into a corner, then runs in but misses. Karen runs back in, but into a back elbow. Brandi hops up, but Karen deflects the missile dropkick. Karen rolls Brandi over and puts on the full Boston Crab!

Brandi endures and drags herself to ropes! She gets the ropebreak! Karen holds on until 4, then embraces some heat before going back to Brandi. Karen says, “I’ve had enough of you”, then chops and forearms away in the corner. She whips Brandi corner to corner but Brandi goes up and over. However, Brandi’s landing jams an ankle and she staggers back onto her butt. Karen wants at her, but Brandi needs to be checked. Karen doesn’t care, she grabs Brandi anyway, but falls for the trap! Small package, Brandi wins!! And gets out of the ring asap. Whether Karen likes it or not, Brandi is leaving her behind for the quarterfinals! Can she shock the world and go all the way?

Dalton Castle speaks.
“Cantaloupes, beanbag chairs, and baby bunnies.”

Imagine it all, the little rabbits hopping along. However, Marty Scurll interrupts.

The Villain apologizes for the interjection, but he felt this was the best time to talk to the champion, seeing as how Castle’s in “a very, very good mood.” He’d have to be in a good mood, since he’s going around offering title opportunities. What a good champion he’s become. But Scurll reminds Castle of the opportunity he once gave the Peacock. Scurll gets to his point, which he is sure Castle already knows, but should Castle retain his championship at the 16th Anniversary Show in Vegas, Scurll would like to be first up to challenge him. “How do you like them apples?” Castle feels Scurll doesn’t really know what he’s asking for. In that case, Scurll simply wants Castle to consider the deal. The Villain takes his leave, is he hoping to line up a shot no matter who wins between Castle and Lethal?
ROH World Six Man Tag Team Championships: The Bullet Club’s “Hung Bucks” VS SoCal Uncensored!

When The Addiction couldn’t gain ground in the ROH Two Man Tag Team Division, they recruited one Scorpio Sky to help them join the ROH Six Man Tag Team Division! They went right to work on the champions, but found extra motivation in the ultimatum from Joe Koff. Can they grab the titles off Hangman and the Young Bucks with ten months to spare?

The bell rings and the Problem Solver starts against his old nemesis in the Heavy Metal Rebel. Kaz throws a haymaker and Hangman responds, we have a fast and furious brawl already! They go back and forth, then at the same time, neither man backing down. The fists only stop flying because the two tire out, but then they come back for a solid collision of clotheslines. Hangman swings but misses, Kaz kicks low and whips him to a corner. Kaz runs in but Hangman runs out, Hangman runs Kaz over with a clothesline. Hangman keeps going with haymakers and stomps in a corner, but Daniels and Scorpio come in to attack from behind. They also go after the Bucks, then return to stomping Hangman. The referee wants them to go back to the corner, but while Kaz rolls out, Daniels & Scorpio whip Hangman. Hangman ducks the double lariat, swings two of his own, but Daniels & Scorpio duck. The Bucks come in, double dropkicks know Daniels & Scorpio down! Matt baits Daniels into Nick’s gutbuster, then runs to say “You’re dead, old man!” with a rolling neckbreaker-backbreaker combo!

Scorpio returns but gets double back elbows. The Bucks roll Scorpio into a wheelbarrow, Nick back kicks Scorpio before hitting the cutter!

Daniels returns and Hangman is ready. He lifts Daniels in a fireman’s carry, but then Kaz returns. Hangman’s ready for him, too, as he kicks Kaz low. Hangman dumps Daniels then uses Kaz for the dropsault!

The fans are loving this, they give a standing ovation to the Hung Bucks. The SCU roll out of the ring while fans chant “The! Elite! The the Elite!” SCU regroups and takes their time returning, but Nick won’t let them rest, he builds speed and FLIES!

He wipes out the entire SCU, but that’s not all. The Bullet Club coordinate, and together Terminator kneel. Fans start up the drums, and the Terminators rise. Hangman builds speed and the Bucks join in for a TRIPLE DIVE!

Hangman puts Kaz back in, slingshot for the Buckshot! Daniels breaks the cover, but Hangman shoves him away to rock him with a discus forearm. Hangman returns to Kaz but gets a jawbreaker. Tag to Scorpio, and he climbs up, only to jump into Hangman’s boot! Scorpio bails out of the ring but Hangman pursues. The Addiction go after him but he fights them both off. While Hangman’s busy with Kaz, Daniels grabs him from behind. Kaz backs up to swing a clothesline, but Hangman ducks to let that hit Daniels!

Hangman then knocks Kaz down with a clothesline before putting Scorpio back in. Hangman takes aim from the apron, but Daniels kicks out his legs! Scorpio takes advantage by hitting Hangman with a slingshot, wrecking ball dropkick. While the ref is busy with the protesting Bucks, Daniels brings Hangman up and whips him into Kaz’s lariat. The SCU embraces the heat while Scorpio mocks the Bucks with a One Sweet. Daniels puts Hangman back in, Scorpio covers, ONE. Scorpio snapmares Hangman and scrapes boots on the face. Tag to Daniels, he kicks Hangman in the ribs. He bends Hangman back on the ropes, but then backs off at 4. Daniels keeps the ref busy so that Kaz can choke Hangman on the ropes! The Bucks are irate while the challengers are underhandedly in control, we go to break.
ROH returns, and the SCU are still in control. Kaz knocks down the Bucks while fans rally for Hangman. He pushes Hangman to the SCU’s corner but Hangman fights back! Scorpio and Daniels go down, but Kaz kicks low. Kaz whips but Hangman slides out to SUPERKICK Scorpio! Hangman baits Kaz into a boot, then slingshots but Kaz dodges the Buckshot. They speed up, and collide with a big double clothesline!

Both men are down but the fans applaud. Kaz stirs, and tags to Daniels. Daniels grabs Hangman but Hangman pushes him away, hot tag to Matt! However, both Bucks get in and run both Daniels and Scorpio down with clotheslines. The Bucks kick low, then Nick runs for the pop-up double missile dropkick! Daniels and Scorpio end up in opposite corners, and the Bucks whip them. Scorpio and Daniels reverse, but the Bucks do-si-do and duck clotheslines to double SUPERKICK!

The Bucks keep going, working together so that Nick can run the ropes for an acrobatic dropkick-crossbody combo! They spot Kaz returning, headscissors and dropkick combo! The fans fire up as the Bucks target Daniels now. Matt has Daniels in powerbomb position while Nick goes to the apron. Matt puffs then puts it out, and they hit the buckle bomb kick combo!
Daniels collapses, Matt puts him position, and Nick climbs up. The Bucks build energy with the fans, and hit the standing moonsault Frog Splash combo!

Matt covers, TWO! The fans want the Bucks to “call Uncle Dave”, so they bring Daniels up again. However, Nick has to fight off Scorpio Kaz slithers in. Kaz slingshots Nick in for a cutter!

Matt lets Daniels go to go after Kaz, SUPERKICK! Daniels gets up, but gets a SUPERKICK! Daniels rolls out, Matt builds speed and hits Daniels with a wrecking ball dropkick. However, Scorpio returns to dropkick Matt mid-reentry. The Bucks regroup, but Scorpio FLIES!

But Hangman has climbed up high, he jumps for the SUPER Asai Moonsault!

Everyone is down but the fans are all fired up. Matt gets up and puts Daniels in the ring while fans declare “This is Awesome!” Daniels crawls while Matt fires himself up. Matt tunes up the band, SUP– No, Daniels deflects to then kick low. He calls for his move but Matt counters Angel’s Wings with a huricanrana! Kaz returns, armed with a title belt, but Matt SUPERKICKS him away. Daniels comes back in but Matt takes him down, and puts on the “Cease” Sharpshooter!

Daniels endures and drags himself to ropes, but Nick comes in for a slingshot facebuster! Nick keeps moving with a cartwheel asai onto Scorpio, and Matt drags Daniels away from the ropes. The sharpshooter is still on, so Kaz drags the ref out of the ring! Daniels taps but the ref doesn’t see it while arguing with Kaz. Nick won’t stand for this, so he triangle jump corkscrews onto Kaz!

But Scorpio uses that title belt as a weapon on Matt!!

This also goes unseen because the referee is busy checking on Nick and Kaz. Daniels covers, but there’s no count. The referee sees it, hurries back in, as does Hangman! Unfortunately, the referee is faster, and counts the three! The SCU WIN!!

The Bullet Club is besides themselves, but the SCU win to make Daniels an ROH Grand Slam Champion!

But now, Bully Ray appears!

The living legend and new ROH Enforcer comes out to address the controversy. Ever since Final Battle, Bully’s been to every show and watched every match. It’s like the Wild West out here, where everyone does exactly what they want to do. Wrestlers are “putting hands on referees, not following the rules, hitting people in the head with belts?!” Bully saw it all, and says that what’s lacking in Ring of Honor is the honor. The fans agree, but SCU doesn’t seem to care. But Bully lets us know he was just talking to COO Joe Koff. Koff told Bully to “do whatever you need to do to get some order back in this company.” Bully doesn’t want to be a boss, a general manager, or any kind of authority figure, but what he will be is THE Enforcer. That said, Bully is here to enforce the Code of Honor; the same Code “guys like Nigel McGuinness” started here. SoCal Uncensored won’t be getting away “with this crap” any more. What’s Bully talking about? He’s talking about restarting this match! The fans like that idea, and those are the voices that truly matter, because this is a decision “we are making together.” Bully and the fans determine what happens, so again, do the fans want to restart the match? “YES!!” And with that, Bully tells the ref to ring the bell!
ROH World Six Man Tag Team Championships: The Bullet Club’s “Hung Bucks” VS SoCal Uncensored, RESTARTED!
The SCU turn around, into TRIPLE SUPERKICKS!!

But they’re not done yet! The fans are thunderous as Nick goes to the apron to Penalty Kick Kaz down. Hangman takes Scorpio out with a Shooting Star shoulder!

Nick kicks Daniels out of a corner and Matt scoops him into piledriver position. With the fans at a fever pitch, Nick springboards for the FIVE STAR Meltzer Driver!!

The Hung Bucks win and retain! No Grand Slams tonight, just honor and justice!

Now Daniels and SoCal Uncensored are the ones besides themselves with rage. Will they be able to win those ROH Six Man Tag titles fair and square next time?

My Thoughts:
What an incredible episode of ROH right here. Flip Gordon is so close to being a big star, given the great performance he has against Jay Lethal. There was great story telling as well, with Lethal not wanting to lose to a younger guy just yet, but also that Flip only lost because of one mistake. Great to hear Lethal will be the challenger at the Vegas Anniversary Show, the equivalent of Wrestlemania for ROH. Also good to see Scurll come out to protest, same as how he did last week. Now I can’t be sure, but I think Marty Scurll is trying to set up some sort of verbal contract MITB situation in ROH. He keeps asking anyone and everyone connected to the ROH WHC for the first match up after they win/retain the title. I bet he’ll come out the moment Castle VS Lethal ends to “cash in” on their agreement, using their own word to keep them to it. And even if Castle or Lethal refuse to face him that night, he can use that against them to wear them down and goad them into a match. I’m not sure if Scurll will win the title even with that, but it’d be very creative and unique for ROH to do this.
Compared to last week’s match of Mandy VS Madison, Brandi VS Karen was a bit crisper of a WOH match. There was a part where Karen went a bit soft on the forearm smash, but otherwise she and Brandi played things just right. Brandi does a bit of Tweener tactics, but that’s just how Bullet Club is sometimes. Her possible next round opponents are Stacy Shadows or Tenille (Emma) Dashwood, and I’m going to go ahead and choose Tenille for that one. Brandi VS Tenille for a match of women WWE didn’t keep would be fun for ROH, and only a 51-49 split favoring Tenille in my estimation. Brandi beating the talented Karen and then surprising the exciting newcomer would be big for the wife of the man with the most lucrative contract in ROH history. Then the main event was really big, really unpredictable and therefore, really fun. I was shocked that SCU won, even if it was with underhanded tactics. Then it was more surprising to see Bully come out and be the “not authority figure” to correct things. Though in retrospect, it makes sense SCU doesn’t get it yet, because they still have literal months before their contracts are up. Their chase needs to be extended so that when they win closer to the deadline, it means even more to everyone.
My Score: 8.5/10

MJF is here!
Portland cheers but Maxwell Jacob Friedman is in no mood! He immediately shouts for them to cut his music as he storms his way into the ring. The fans boo but MJF says, “You wanna boo me? No, no, no, see I’m not like your paper champion, Darby Allin. When I come out here, you show me the respect I’ve earned!” The fans continue to boo but MJF says last week will be forever be known as the Seattle Screw Job! Three days prior to his match with Darby Allin for MJF’s AEW World Championship, MJF wrestled in an all-out war with Kenny Omega and came out victorious. MJF did not come out without being banged up, bruised, and battered.
Three days later, he is informed he is wrestling Darby that day, and then gets hit in the nuts! That SKANK, Aubrey Edwards, does a fast count! MJF’s shoulders were up! So no, Darby ain’t the world champion, Darby is a dirty little cheater! The fans boo the hypocrisy but he asks if they actually believe Darby can beat MJF at 100%. “YES!” Do this disrespectful little s*its actually believe Darby can beat MJF when he’s prepared? “YES!” Then they must have short term memory loss, so here’s a history lesson: MJF is the most complete pro-wrestler in the history of this sport! MJF is the man who has beaten every top name pro-wrestling has to offer!
MJF is the man who made sure Hangman Adam Page can never be AEW World Champion ever again! And MJF is the man who kicked out of the One Winged Angel like it was nothing! The fans boo but MJF says he is the BEST professional wrestler in the world! Darby Allin, MJF doesn’t give a damn about the main event with the Psycho Killer! If Darby has an ounce of dignity in that fragile body, he will give MJF that title back, RIGHT NOW! The fans boo, and instead of Darby, MJF gets Kevin Knight! The fans cheer The Jet as he walks down the ramp and into the ring. Knight gets a mic to tell MJF, “Different city, same old Max coming out here and whining like a little b*tch.”
The fans chant that at MJF, and Knight says Portland is tired of MJF talking. The Jet just landed, the air’s gonna switch up as it’s about to get real. It’s getting real, because The Jet is 2 Fly. Before MJF gets to hating, he has to be honest: Doesn’t The Jet look clean with the TNT title around his waist? The fans cheer that! Knight says when you’re a real champion, a fighting champion, you’re willing to put the title on the line at any time. Now, MJF, don’t you remember when Knight had you pinned for what seemed like an eternity? If anyone got cheated and screwed, it’s Knight, cuz he should be Jet2Belts right now!
The fans cheer again, but MJF raises an eyebrow. MJF says okay, so, first of all, what an elegant speaker Knight is. Almost Aristotle! Let’s go over the points: Knight is The Jet, The Jet is 2 Fly, The Jet is TNT Champion, The Jet had almost beat MJF, The Jet thinks it is socially acceptable to be friends with Speedball Mike Bailey, and The Jet should be AEW World Champion. Did we get all that right? Okay, cool. Well, obviously, Knight’s memory isn’t that great, but MJF’s memory is, because he’s always the smartest person in the room… MJF beat Knight with a Heatseeker for an easy W. So no, Knight, you should not be world champion.
If anyone should be world champion, it is MJF and MJF alone! But MJF gives Knight credit, nice hardware. Give it up for the TNT Champion! The fans cheer, and MJF says what a cute little title that is, huh? It fits Knight like a glove, because he is a TNT Champion type: a workhorse, good hand, average Joe. Y’know, someone with a ceiling. Someone who will never be AEW World Champion. Someone who should know better than to step into MJF’s ring and breathe MJF’s air. Someone who damn sure should know better than to allow MJF’s AEW World Championship to come out of their average little mouth.
The two stare down but Knight says keep running your mouth, and Jet will slap that big nose off your face and send you packing! MJF is doing a lot of fibbing, talking about Jet not being AEW World Championship material. Anyone can look at Jet and see he is a gold mine! The fans cheer that! Knight says MJF wants to talk about the lineage of this workhorse title, well, some of the best wrestlers have held this title. So no coincidence that someone like MJF has not held it before. The fans like that zinger! Someone like MJF has always had everything handed to him, so let’s keep the train going. Let’s keep it going as The Jet hands MJF an ass whooping! The fans cheer that!
MJF says okay, okay, no, no, shut up! Let’s get this straight, Kevin: You wanna wrestle MJF? What does MJF get out of that? He’s already proven he’s better than Knight. Though, Knight did talk about the TNT title, and MJF’s kinda sold on the belt. Matter of fact, what really makes MJF want it is he can tell how proud Knight is of that title. In fact, MJF would love to turn that pride into depression. So here’s the thing, Jet. You wanna wrestle MJF? Put that TNT title on the line and you’ve got yourself a match! The fans like the sound of that! Knight says hell yeah! Let’s do it! Cuz The Jet is always ready, and being in Rip City tonight, Knight will rip MJF a new one here and now!
The fans fire up and MJF shouts for a ref! Portland is getting hot as Knight and MJF are ready to open the show with a fight! But will MJF make himself the Scumbag Face of TNT? Or will The Jet be #2Fly2StopNow?
AEW TNT Championship: Kevin Knight VS MJF!
But then MJF bails out with a smile on his face. “You’re gonna dance with The Devil next week, kid!” The fans boo, seems there won’t be a match after all. Will Knight make MJF regret postponing his ass kicking?
Backstage interview with The Demand.
Renee Paquette is with Ricochet, Toa Liona & Bishop Kaun and welcomes them for being here, along with… Chris Jericho! Ricochet rolls his eyes as Y2J surprises them with his presence. It was announced for this week’s Collision, a Six Man Tag match of The Demand VS Jericho and partners of his choosing, but has he found said partners? Ricochet laughs, because what are we talking about? Of course Jericho does not know who his partners are gonna be? Liona points out Jericho’s burned every bridge, and Ricochet adds that no one is gonna team with Jericho now that his new gimmick is getting his ass beat The Demand every week he shows up.
Jericho says Ricochet is about to receive a Cease & Desist. What? Why? Jericho’s new moniker, way too long, he got it copywritten. W-What? Ricochet is the one who says it. Yes, it is a great idea, bald, but Jericho can easily set Ricochet and everyone up with a brand new shirt, available on AEW Shop! Yes, it says “Jericho: The Guy Who Gets His Ass Beat by The Demand Every Week That He Shows Up.” Ricochet is upset already. Mock him all you want, Jericho, but on Collision, Ricochet & GOA will steal Jericho’s dignity. There is no one in the locker room that wants to team with Jericho! And even if there were, the result would still be the same: Demand UP!
So this ends the same way as it did at Dynasty: Ricochet pinning Jericho via the “Ricosault.” Jericho says what Ricochet is forgetting is that Jericho doesn’t need to find guys who like him. He just has to find guys who hates Ricochet, bald prick. Jericho storms off, Ricochet asks about that last part, but Liona says it’s okay, let Jericho try to find anyone, it won’t matter. But will the Ayatollah of Rock ‘n’ Rolla have plenty of choices when it comes to those who want to beat down The Demand?

Lio’s strange new nature certainly took some getting used to, but Brody still powered through to victory. Seven singles wins in a row and Brody grabs a mic. “Tonight, in the main event, I’ll be keeping a close eye on that world title match.” The fans cheer that! Brody tells Ciampa that if he comes out on top, congratulations. But Darby Allin… Brody is so proud of Darby. The fans cheer, but Brody says, “Not proud enough to not bring the violence.” Brody has put both men on notice! Will the King of Death battle a Psycho Killer or a Relentless One when the time comes?
Backstage interview with Tommaso Ciampa.
Speaking of the Psycho Killer, Renee Paquette is there to ask him about tonight’s main event match for THE AEW World Championship. Darby Allin’s first defense, Ciampa’s first challenge, how is it going to go? Ciampa says he’s been told his entire career what he is not. Not big enough, not 6’4″, not 250 pounds, not able to pass the “airport test,” not charismatic enough, not main event material. But he will tell you what he is: A husband, a father, a son, a brother, with an insane work ethic. Tonight isn’t about villains and heroes, but about passion, about proving that glass ceilings are imaginary.
Tonight is about professional wrestling, for the grandest sport in this business, THE AEW World Championship. So if you’re asking Ciampa if he’s ready… Ciampa stands up to say, “You have never seen a man more prepared for his moment than I am tonight. Now go ask Darby Allin: Do you want this more than I need it?” Ciampa heads out, will nothing stop him from getting what he needs?
Adam Copeland speaks.
The Rated R Superstar is backstage as he tells FTR, “You said that Christian and I will never get another tag team title shot. Now, I might be biased, but I think we deserve another one. So I came up with a plan. Cuz if nothing else, I’m a fair man. I came up with an idea that I don’t even think you can refuse. Because you guys talk about being the best tag team of all time, FTR: The Greatest Team Team of All Time, right? Hmm. Debatable. But you’re one of the best ever, that’s nondebatable, otherwise you don’t do this (points to small scar) to my face. So here’s the idea: At Double or Nothing, Christian and I challenge you for the AEW Tag Team Championships in a New York Street Fight!
“Now, I know your little brains are struggling with, ‘What exactly is in it for for us?’ Well, here we go. You wanna prove you’re the best ever? If you beat us at Double or Nothing, we retire as a team. Hmm. Whaddya think? I know what my answer would be. And if you’re actually the best tag team of all time, I know what your answer would be! Unless deep down inside, deep down, you know we’re better. Only one way to prove it. Now, like I said, I know what I’d do, but I’m a man. Ball’s in your court, boys.” Cope heads out, what will Dax & Cash say to him raising the stakes?

Blake Monroe speaks.
“Staring at this title, it just feels correct. But a casket match tonight? Of course Tatum’s twisted mind goes there.” Vanity Project is there and Ricky Smokes says Blake’s got this! She IS The Glamour! Blake says yes she is! And tonight, she beats Tatum to become the rightful Women’s North American Champion. Jackson Drake is checking his phone, and he says to press pause! Baddie alert! Look at who he just matched with! Yeah, but Blake’s got her match tonight. They’d never leave Blake alone with Tatum. Blake says no, they gave her everything she needed. They can go and enjoy their night.
Drake says okay, but if she needs literally anything at all, just shoot a text, they’re literally going right across the street. Go, queen! Love you! The Vanity Project heads out, but will they miss Blake’s last night as the deluded champion? Or will they get to join in on a glamorous celebration?
Saquon Shugars hurries to talk with Robert Stone.
Saquon gets the NXT General Manager’s attention, and Suit Man Stone points out we all saw that interference. Saquon says yes, but he fumbled the ball! You gotta give DarkState another chance. Well, walk ‘n’ talk with him. They head out, Shiloh Hill tells Stone he’s got next. Tatum Paxley is there to tell Shiloh great job in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal. Shiloh says that was so much fun. He just kept telling people he was supposed to be in the match and it kept working. But tonight is about Tatum finally putting Blake to rest. Tatum can’t wait to put Blake in that casket, that Shiloh personally made! And he’s dug the hole already!
Tatum seems down and Shiloh asks if that joke was too far. Tatum says no, she just worries Vanity Project will get in the way. Nothing to worry about! Shiloh helped arrange a date, and let’s just say, it’ll take them a while until that date shows up. Wait, who’d he set them up with? Don’t worry about that now. But next week, Shiloh gets a match with Ricky Saints! Shiloh & Tatum both hit the Absolute pose, and Shiloh wants to wish Tatum luck. Tatum thanks Shiloh as he heads out. Will Tatum truly put this feud to rest? Will Shiloh be absolutely ready for his match with Saints?

Vanity Project posts online.
Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes are keeping an eye on Jackson Drake as he waits on his date. They wanna see how hot the lady herself is, and maybe she brought some friends? Just don’t be obvious. Wait, is Drake alone? Drake says she’s yet to show. NO! What!? Did he get stood up?! Drake says he has no idea who this chick thinks she is, no-showing Dr. Thirst. Smokes says don’t take it personally, some girls are just the worst. Words of wisdom: Drake will live to love another day. But y’know who else took losses back in the day? LeBron James! If The King can take a loss, so can Drake. Let’s bounce, boys!
Wait, Bailey Humphrey turns the corner. Did she hear that they got stood up? U-Um… N-No…? Is Vanity Project in trouble? And if so, what kind?
DarkState regroups backstage.
Dion asks what happened out there, and Saquon says he was trying to help. Was he? Yes! He knows he messed up, but after the fight, he went right to Robert Stone. Saquon got them a rematch! The team fires up, and Dion says he owes Saquon. Dion guarantees he’s got Myles beat in the rematch. Well, that’s the thing. No doubt Dion would have, but it won’t be Dion getting this match. What? Saquon did everything he could to make sure Dion got his lick back, but Stone said something like Dion got his shot, and if DarkState was to get another one, it’d have to be Saquon. Is that what he said? Yes! And Saquon wasn’t gonna say no!
Saquon reminds Dion that this is about getting gold back in the fam by any means necessary! This is the means! Dion did mean that, didn’t he? Yes, Dion did mean that. Good! So next week, Saquon brings that North American Title home! Dion says hell yeah, brother! Cuz when DarkState strikes, ain’t nobody safe! But will the team hold it together and succeed with this second chance?

Blake sits up to open the lid, and she grins as she has Tatum in a vulnerable position. But Tatum laughs?! Blake SLAPS Tatum!
Tatum stands to ROCK Blake! They both go to the apron again, then stumble around. Tatum BOOTS Blake, Blake stands on the casket! Tatum joins her, they brawl, and Blake HAMMERS away on Tatum! The Vanity Project keeps us updated.
It seems Drake is going through with his impromptu back-up date, and Smokes says that’s his boy! Drake asks “Mika” what’s her deal, and she says she used to be a mortician’s assistant. Dissecting bodies, stitching them up. Whoa, wait, she used to dissect corpses? Yes! Her hands have done some stuff. Wow, Drake says that is quite impressive. He’s never been so happy to be stood up, because let’s be honest, who needs to go on a date with this chick? Mika looks closer at the profile picture and says bro, that’s an AI bot! You didn’t get stood up, you got tricked! What? No, this is… Oh… Okay, Drake knows exactly who did this! SHILOH!
Mika says no need to ruin a perfectly good night, though. Let’s get some dinner. And uh, his cute little friends can join them if they want. W-Wait, who? Smokes & Brad? No, no, they don’t wanna come with. Uh, yes they do! Mika leads the way out, arm in arm with Drake. Mika SHOVES a dude in the way outta the way, and Drake says that’s kinda hot. Is Dr. Thirst about to have himself a tall drink of water tonight?
Lola Vice is here!
The fans cheer as the Mayor of Vice City struts to the ring, #AndStill the NXT Women’s Champion! Lola grabs a mic to say, “Hola, NXT!” “Hola, Lola!” Lola says last week, she didn’t just beat Jacy Jayne, but she made a statement! In her first defense, she showed us exactly the kind of champion she is going to be. The fans cheer that, but Lola does give Jacy credit, she elevated this division and completely reinvented herself. Lola will, too, but in her own way. And not to lie, the hardest part about being a champion isn’t winning the title, it’s keeping it. Lola feels it, she sees it. She knows all eyes are on her in the locker room.
The NXT Women’s Division is deep, hungry, and full of girls ready to have their moment. And none of them are waiting! Kendal, Kali, Izzi, Sol and Zaria, they all stepped up and made it clear they want what Lola has. Those women are not competition, they’re threats. And they all want Lola’s NXT Women’s Championship. But… Lola likes it that way! And she gets why. Holding this title could mean you’re a possible WrestleMania main-eventer one day! The fans cheer that! This title is the most important title to hold as a woman proving themself in the WWE! Lola is about ot be the realest champion, because this title deserves women who are willing to step up and take their shot!
Because Lola was that girl. And she still is that girl. So while she respects it, she understands it, she wants to make something very clear. You don’t just walk into Vice City and step up to the champ! You’re stepping into a fight! And you don’t just walk up to take what’s Lola’s! You can try. You can step up, you can take your shot, but all that will get you is knocked out and danced on! The fans like the sound of that, but Izzi Dame interrupts. Lola, it is so interesting listening to you. Lola’s talking like she’s already cleared out the division after just one defense. Granted, it was Jacy Jayne, so we’ll give Lola that.
But to circle back to what’s important, it’s Izzi. Lola called Izzi a threat, and thank you, it’s true. But Izzi wants to ask Lola, is she feeling it? The shift. The looks are sharper, the whispers are a little louder, and Lola’s rather emotional. Every time she steps in the ring, she has to prove something. The woman standing across from her has to be knocked out in order for Lola to prove she belongs. And that works, until it doesn’t. While Lola swings on everything that moves, Izzi is watching, learning, and waiting for the exact moment when Lola makes a mistake. And no doubt about it, Lola will make a mistake.
And Lola keeps saying this is Vice City, this is her world. But having that mindset means Lola isn’t a champion that losses in big moments, but loses in small ones. Izzi isn’t stepping into Lola’s fight, but into Lola’s weak spot, and she will rip Lola apart! Every crack, every doubt, every second slipping away, Lola will feel everything. And when it’s over and Izzi is the NEW NXT Women’s Champion, Lola won’t be cursing Izzi’s name, she’ll be thanking Izzi! Lola laughs and says Izzi and everyone else, all that studying, that waiting, it’s just hesitation. So go ahead, take your shot, wait for the right moment. Because by the time she does, she’ll already get her ass kicked!
Izzi says don’t tempt her with a good time, mamacita! One thing Lola learns about The Culling is that they’re always two steps ahead. That’s why Izzi will be champion. Niko Vance swipes at Lola’s Mixed Tag title, Lola gets on guard, but Izzi BOOTS her down! The fans boo as Izzi snatches the NXT Women’s Championship off Lola, but will she do it when it matters?
Birthright regroups backstage.
Sarah Schreiber is there to congratulate the NEW WWE Speed Champion. Though, the circumstances were a bit questionable. Lexis says, “Questionable? Ma’am, do you have any idea who you’re talking to right now? I am the fastest man alive! Let’s face it, NXT finally has a champion that was born to do this. Not one of these pompous college recruits, or some indie degenerate that we pulled up off the street. No, a real star! Stars, in fact, that’s plural. And we’re not gonna stop until each and every one of them has gold around their waists. Because this right here, Sarah, is our birthright.”
But EK Prosper storms in! He tells Lexis that they gotta run that one back, because if it wasn’t for Lexis’ sorry ass crew, Lexis wouldn’t even be champion. Dempsey says EK lost, get over it. But then Dorian Van Dux steps in, and he points out “these clowns will never fight fair.” But DVD will gladly team with EK against whichever two are brave enough. Uriah says if DVD wants in the ring with generational talent like them, consider your career over before it even begins. Arianna says now that Birthright has another title in the collection, they can make this happen. See you two next week. As for right now, they have a coronation to attend! Bottles on King!
Birthright heads out, but will they keep the momentum going in tag team action? Or will they see that EK + DVD = W?
NXT presents Chronicle: Kendal Grey, part 2.
Before coming to the Performance Center, the Ice Woman was a three-time UNDEFEATED National Champion! She was the first girl to qualify for an all men’s tournament in the state of Nevada. She is not the first woman to list all her accolades, but amateur wrestling was her entire life. Growing up in Vegas was an incredible experience, too. When you think “Las Vegas,” you think The Strip, the nightlife, but for her, it was the fight capital of the world. She wasn’t drawn to the lights, but to the competition. At school, she competed against the guys. So many people said girls shouldn’t wrestle, let alone wrestle boys, but for her, that was just natural growing up with a big brother.
Everything was competition. When she hung out with her friends, it was really her brother and his 20 friends playing football, baseball, whatever. They’d even be backyard with gloves on, wrestling until someone tapped out. She definitely is a tomboy, but she owns it. She got that from her mom, who didn’t like to dress up or do make-up. And she and her dad would bond through sports and outdoor activities. She has an embarrassing story about that. They go to a Mets game, eating soft pretzels and chilling, and then BOOM, foul ball hits her! Of course, that’s her luck. Mom would tease her as “The Problem Child” cuz she was always getting hurt, getting scars.
One time at a barbeque, she was 12 years old. Even though there was a ton of food around, this dog just decides to jump up and bite her lip off! Then in high school during a match, Kendal and her opponent go for a grapple at the same time, and she gets her forehead split open! She’s just a magnet for bad luck. But regardless, Kendal was obsessed with wrestling. She lived on the mat. The technique, the pressure, the pace, she loved it all. But especially with winning. And while she knows she said she hates talking about herself, she’s actually glad she took this time to sit down and talk, because the NXT Universe deserves to get to know her.
But for now, there’s a ton of work to be done, and she won’t stop until she has her hands on THE NXT Women’s Championship. NXT is about to enter the Grey Area, will Kendal come out on the other side with gold?
Robert Stone talks with Lola Vice.
Fortunately, Lola is okay after that sucker kick from Izzi. But she just has to even the odds. And she has the perfect person in mind. Wait, what’s going around the corner? Stone hurries over, and Saints is beating up on Shiloh! Saints says play games with him now! Stone is furious, what is Saints doing in his office?! Saints says here’s your phone back. Saints says he’s beating Shiloh’s ass next week! Stone calls for a ref, it seems Saints sprung a trap on the unorthodox genius. But will he be ready to fight #ToothlessAggression fair and square?
NXT returns as Sarah Schreiber catches up to Robert Stone.
Naturally, she asks for a medical update on Shiloh after Saints’ sneak attack, but all Stone can say is he’s headed to medical right now, so he’ll give us one when he gets one. Stone then turns the corner and sees Tony D’Angelo. Stone says great timing, he was also looking for him. But then a staff member says this box just arrived for Tony…? Tony accepts, those he isn’t sure what the Japanese kanji on it means. Stone says he was hoping to talk with the champ, he’s still sorting things out, but next week, he’ll have a better idea of who Tony’s next challenger will be. Tony then spots Keanu Carver passing by.
Tony asks if this delivery is from Kenau. Keanu says nah, if he wants someone’s attention, he’ll just get it. But that right there is the kanji for war. There are sharks circling, Tony of all people should know to be ready. Keanu heads out, Stone says that’s not wrong, Stone’s phone has been blowing up. But then, will whatever is inside the box be a clue as to who wants Tony’s attention?
Last Woman Standing: Sol Ruca VS Zaria!
We already know how much these two have grown to hate each other when their friendship’s dysfunction turned into disdain. Ironically, they still made it to the biggest show of NXT’s year together, but it was only the Soul Surfer that could stand and deliver on a win. Will Sol get one last win on her former friend? Or will the Agent of Change truly change the landscape of NXT?
NXT returns ringside as Zaria’s music hits. But while Sol’s looking to the ramp, Zaria slips in from the crowd side! Sol turns around, but she dodges in time! THESZ PRESS and fast hands as the bell rings! Zaria shoves Sol away but Sol BOOTS her back! Sol LARIATS Zaria up and out! The fans rally as Sol goes to the apron, springboard TORNILLO! Down goes Zaria at the ramp and the fans cheer! Sol smiles as she watches Zaria writhe. The count starts but Zaria is already crawling. Zaria stands at 5 of 10 and stumbles to barriers. Sol runs up, but into a BOOT! Zaria has a trash can already, and she CHUCKS it at Sol! Sol goes down in a heap!
Sol flounders, crawls, but Zaria wants the count to go faster! The ref keeps the pace fair, so Zaria storms up. Sol swings a kendo stick, but Zaria blocks it! Zaria YANKS the stick away, BOOTS Sol, then gets the can! But Sol SHOTGUNS it into Zaria! Both women are down while the fans fire up! The count starts again, Sol rises up while Zaria crawls. Sol storms up on Zaria, but Zaria LASHES her with camera cables! And LASHES her again! And again! The fans wince as Sol writhes, but Zaria CHOKES Sol with the cable! Zaria even gags and DRAGS Sol to the apron, and DANGLES her off the edge!!
The fans are freaking out while Sol kicks and flails! Zaria DROPS Sol, then stands over her while the count starts again. Sol sputters and sits up at 4, but Zaria drags her up! Sol SMACKS her with a trash can lid! Zaria stumbles away, Sol storms in, but Zaria swings with the kendo stick! Sol dodges to hit the X-FACTOR! Zaria is now under the count while the fans rally and duel. Sol has the kendo stick again, and she sees Zaria stand at 6. SMACK! SMACK! And SMACK again! Sol then fires off with the kendo stick on Zaria’s back! Zaria writhes while the fans fire up. Sol paces around Zaria while fans chant, “One More Time!”
Sol clamps onto Zaria with a kendo stick Camel Clutch, and STOMP! The fans cheer Sol while she tells Zaria that this is what she wanted. The count passes 5 but Zaria goes to the apron. Zaria drags herself up at 8, then drops to a knee. Sol SLINGSHOT SUNSET FLIPS, but Zaria holds onto the ropes! Sol pulls, pulls, and POWER- NO! Zaria fights with fists to get free! Then she BOOTS Sol down! The fans fire up while both women are down again! The fans chant for “TABLE! TABLE!” as both women rise. Zaria and Sol crawl to each other at 7, and stand at 8. Zaria fireman’s carries Sol, but Sol fights free of the F5! Sol SPEARS Zaria through the wall!!
The fans lose their minds while both women are down underneath The Perch! The count is climbing, Sol stands at 6 and hobbles away. Zaria rises at 8, stands at 9, but both women flop back down! The fans cheer as NXT goes picture in picture.
Sol stands at 5 again, then clears off the commentary desk! The fans like what they see as Sol makes sure everything is pushed aside, but then Zaria CHUCKS a water bottle at her! Right in the back! Zaria then THROWS Sol over barriers! Zaria then climbs up and over to join Sol, and they brawl in the crowd! The fans cheer as they’re even closer to the action now! Sol ROCKS Zaria, but Zaria ROCKS Sol! Zaria ROCKS Sol again as they go up the stands! Sol hits back, Zaria shoves fans aside, and she makes Sol take a seat for a CHOP! Zaria HAMMERS Sol, brings her around, but Sol hits back! Sol CLUBS away on Zaria no w!
Sol pushes Zaria back tot he railing and DECKS her! Zaria tumbles up and over into the gap! Zaria drags herself up, but Sol is right on her! Sol and Zaria stand on the barriers as they brawl! Zaria ROCKS Sol, Sol stumbles away, but she still hits back. Zaria ROCKS Sol again, they go along the way, and the hands keep flying! They go back ‘n’ forth, faster and faster, and the fans cheer as Sol WINDMILLS on Zaria! NXT returns to single picture, Zaria blocks the kick to HEADBUTT Sol! Then as they both wobble, Zaria manages to fireman’s carry! The fans go nuts for the F5 down through the desk!!
Zaria stands tall on the barriers while Sol is under the count. Sol is still down past 5, but rises at 7! Zaria decides to go look for something as Sol stands at 8. Sol leans against the apron, but she falls again. The count is on Sol again, but Zaria brings a table out! Zaria stands it up on one end, but Sol GERMAN SUPLEXES Zaria first! The fans fire up as Sol then SHINING WIZARDS! Both women are down but the fans fire up again! The count is back, and Sol keeps her eyes on Zaria as she stands at 5. Zaria sputters, drags herself up at 8, and stands at 9! Sol takes that table for her own, stands it up on the legs, and she looks to the Perch?!
Zaria SMACKS Sol off the table first! Then the POST! Zaria goes looking, and she SHOVES things aside so she can bring out another table! Zaria positions this table right next to the first, CLUBS Sol, then finishes arranging the furniture. “This is Awesome!” as Zaria also looks to The Perch… Zaria storms up to Sol, but Sol JAMS her up with a piece of the desk! And then SMACKS her on her back! Sol puts Zaria on the table, and it is now the drop zone as Sol climbs up! The fans are fired up already as Sol goes to The Perch! Sol is fifteen feet high as she looks down at Zaria! Except, Zaria isn’t there anymore?!
The fans are going nuts already as Zaria is behind Sol again! Sol says don’t do it! Zaria still runs up, Sol hurdles over! Zaria stops herself from going over, but SOUL SNATCHER on the perch!! The fans are going nuts again as both women are down! The ref hurries to check them, then starts the count! Sol already sits up at 3, then drags herself up at 6. Sol sees Zaria stand at 9, and ROCKS her! Zaria ROCKS Sol back! They go shot for shot, back and forth, but Zaria is dangerously close to the edge! Zaria ROCKS Sol, Sol ROCKS Zaria, repeat! The shots are fast ‘n’ furious and the fans are loving it! Sol ROCKS Zaria, but then keeps Zaria from falling!?
Zaria asks Sol to show mercy! She’s sorry! Sol pulls Zaria away from the edge, and the fans aren’t sure what to make of it. Sol and Zaria are both emotional, and they hug it out! The fans cheer, maybe there’s hope for #ZaRuca yet. But then… the look on Zaria’s face says otherwise. Zaria SHOVES Sol down through the tables!! The fans are speechless as Sol really only goes through the one and not the other… But the count is climbing, and there’s no stopping it! Sol is down, ZARIA WINS!
Winner: Zaria
Zaria said Sol was the villain, but only an evil mastermind would pull at the heartstrings just to rip them out like that! Sol is down, both physically and emotionally, will she ever recover? Will Zaria’s cold-blooded nature finally lead her to gold?
My Thoughts:
A great second week for the first-ever NXT Revenge special, they can probably make this an annual thing. Though, that ending to the Last Woman Standing was a bit scary. They were smart to have two tables there for a bigger drop zone, but they still miscalculated Sol’s fall in the moment. She clips that table edge pretty badly, so hopefully she’s okay. Another point towards my argument that taking physics classes is a must for pro-wrestlers, and surely the WWE Performance Center can figure out how to do that. But even with that scary ending, that was a great Last Woman Standing match, and it worked so well in story for Zaria to win out, and the way she did it.
Great Casket Match for Tatum VS Blake, and I like the side gag that Vanity Project was away with a date. Great spot for Bailey Humphrey to get TV time, and she clearly owns the fact that she’s a country strong girl. Blake’s unofficial title coming into play for the finish was genius, but I’m actually a touch surprised Blake lost. I feel like Blake can move on to the top title now while Tatum defends the North American title against a lot of other contenders. Great promo segment from Lola and Izzi to set up that title match, but Izzi is definitely losing that to help build Lola up. And I’m pretty sure the person she’s gonna get to help her is Mr. Iguana, his interactions with Shawn Spears & Niko Vance will be great.
Very good stuff with Shiloh and Saints, their match is going to be great stuff. Very good Men’s North American Championship match, and DarkState accidentally costing Dion was a great way to do this. Especially with Saquon now getting the title shot next week. I don’t know if we get a second take on what we just got, but I also don’t know if Saquon wins the title. But one way or another, this has to add to the dysfunction between Saquon and Dion, forcing Cutler and Osiris to choose sides. Very good Speed Championship match, but as I figured, Lexis won with help from Birthright. DVD stepping up to be EK’s teammate is good stuff, they’ll have a great match with I assume Uriah & Dempsey.
Great match of Keanu VS Hendry, and I really like them going with a ref stoppage. Keanu is already monster, now he’s a savage. Though, to think this is how Hendry is exiting NXT to go to main roster. I wonder if his next concert promo addresses this. As for Keanu, they continue to keep him orbiting the NXT Championship. Tony D getting a mysterious box with Japanese on it, there are a few options. I don’t want it to be Nakamura coming back to NXT just to lose to Tony D, Nakamura needs to do more with Tama Tonga and MFT. This could/should be someone from Pro-wrestling Noah, like a returning Yoshiki Inamura or someone else building up his stardom, like Kaito Kiyomiya or Kenoh. Imagine if it was Kenta, formerly Hideo Itami in NXT…
My Score: 8.9/10
