In some tragic news today, PWInsider has reported that former Eastern Championship Wrestling (ECW) star Chuck ‘Rockin’ Rebel’ Williams was found deceased this morning in what authorities are determining to be a murder-suicide following a preliminary investigation. According to a press release, Williams was found after police were dispatched to a shooting call in West Chester, Pennsylvania where they were met by family members. Police then discovered the body of an adult male (Williams) and an adult female that is being said to be his wife.

Williams spent the majority of his career working in the Philadelphia area during the 1990’s after being trained by Ricky Morton of The Rock ‘N’ Roll Express. He competed for the Tri-State Wrestling Alliance, which many point to as a forerunner to ECW and was the promotion’s first champion. When the TWA was shifted to Eastern Championship Wrestling, Williams was just one of the talents that was brought in and used primarily as a heel on the undercard. PWInsider states that his backstage demeanor contributed to him never receiving a push or more of an opportunity.

Currently, the names of the deceased have not been confirmed by authorities, however multiple outlets have been following the story closely and it’s just a matter of time.
