FTR w/ Tully Blanchard VS Santana & Ortiz!

The last time Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler were in the ring with Proud ‘n’ Powerful, things got downright scary. But Cash has the courage to fight past his fear and take on PNP once more! Will FTR open Dynamite #100 with a triumphant return? Or will the Inner Circle stay strong as we head for All Out?

Dax and Santana start and they circle as fans rally up. They take a moment to soak in that energy and then they tie up. Dax headlocks for the takeover, Santana headscissors but Dax kips free. Dax headlocks for another takeover, Santana headscissors again and Dax kips free again. Fans cheer as the two stare down and then back away. Dax gets a quick pep talk from Cash before he ties up with Santana again. Santana waistlocks, Dax drops and leg picks for a takedown. Dax gets a headlock, grinds Santana down and fans are dueling, “PROUD ‘N’ POWERFUL!” “F T R!” Dax Santana fights up and powers out but Dax rebounds to run him over! Santana is right up and glares at Dax.

Santana CHOPS Dax, Dax CHOPS back. Santana CHOPS again, so Dax CHOPS again. The CHOPS keep going, Santana headlocks but Dax powers out. Santana runs Dax over, things keep moving and Santana blocks hip toss only for Dax to block. They go back and forth, end up on ropes and start scrapping with each other! Cash and Ortiz jump in, the ref tries to keep the peace but a brawl breaks out! Fans fire up as PNP clotheslines FTR out of the ring! PNP then take aim, build speed and DOUBLE DIVE! Direct hit and down goes FTR! Fans are thunderous as Ortiz gets Cash up and Santana drags Dax. They whip both FTR into railing!

Ortiz SHOTGUN dropkicks, then sets up as the step stool for Santana to CANNONBALL off of! Direct hit again and fans are fired up! Santana puts Dax in the ring, tags in Ortiz, and Ortiz wrenches Dax to reel him in for a fireman’s carry takedown. Ortiz shouts, “Wrestling!” as he has an armlock but Dax fights up to his feet. Dax pulls hair, whips and scoops Ortiz to SLAM him, but Ortiz boots from below. Ortiz reels Dax in but Dax tags Cash before the atomic drop. Ortiz DECKS Cash, whips Dax corner to corner, but Dax reverses. Ortiz LARIATS Dax but Cash POSTS Ortiz! The ref reprimands but Cash brings Ortiz out to POST him again!

Ortiz is on the apron while the ref reprimands Cash. Cash gets Ortiz’s arm and wraps it around a crossbar! The ref counts, fans rally up and Cash lets off for Dax to put Ortiz in. Cash dropkicks then covers, ONE! Cash bumps Ortiz off buckles, tags in Dax, and Cash feeds Ortiz to Dax’s knee. Dax drags Ortiz up as fans rally, and snapmares him to stomp away on Ortiz’s arm! Fans boo but Cash says this is the receipt for what happened to his arm. Dax has a top wristlock, thrashes Ortiz about, but Ortiz holds on. Ortiz fights up, only for Dax to throw him down! Dax keeps on the top wristlock and thrashes the arm as Ortiz endures again.

Meanwhile, Cash pulls off a corner buckle pad! Is FTR plotting to exact true revenge for Cash’s arm? Ortiz is put in the corner, Dax sucker punches Santana! The ref is busy with Santana as Dax wraps Ortiz’s arm around the bare buckle! Cash lines up a shot but Santana comes in around the way knock him down! Dax punches Santana down then goes back to Ortiz. Dax hammerlocks the bad arm but Ortiz blocks the bump. Ortiz ROCKS Dax then dropkicks him down! Fans fire up as both men crawl, Cash tags in and intercepts Ortiz! Cash whips Ortiz away from Santana, then he swings on Santana. Santana dodges and Ortiz comes back to block a shot and CLOBBER Cash!

Fans fire up again as Ortiz crawls past Cash. Tully coaches Cash up, hot tags to Dax and Santana! Santana rallies on FTR with big clotheslines and elbows! Cash kicks low and whips but Santana reverses to mule kick Dax! Santana reels Cash in for a suplex. Santana makes Cash a bridge between Dax and himself, for a draping snap suplex! Santana then reels Dax in for UNO amigo! And then DOS amigos! Fans fire up as Santana hits THREE AMIGOS! Santana goes to a corner and climbs up top, pointing to the heavens for Latino Heat! FROG SPLASH! Cover, TWO!! Dax survives and Santana is shocked, but he rallies fans up again as he tags in Ortiz.

PNP coordinate, double wrench to a double back suplex on Dax! Ortiz rolls Dax into Santana’s wheelbarrow, CUTTER to GERMAN SUPLEX! Ortiz covers, Cash drags him out! Ortiz ROCKS Cash, Santana CLOBBERS him! Ortiz whips Dax but Dax uses that to BLAST Santana off the apron! Ortiz O’Conner Rolls, TWO! Into Cash’s uppercut! Dax reels Ortiz on for a BRAINBUSTER! Cover, TWO!! Dax is frustrated that Ortiz survives! Fans chant “This is Awesome!” but it’s far from over. Dax tags in Cash, FTR gets Ortiz up in a double suplex. Santana SPEARS Dax and Ortiz makes the suplex a cradle! TWO, and Cash hurries after Ortiz.

Ortiz throws body shots, shoves Cash into a corner then fires off more forearms. Tag to Santana, PNP double back suplex for a FACEPLANT! Santana covers, TWO! Fans rally up again as Santana gets Cash up. Tag to Ortiz, he brings Cash around but Dax knocks Santana off the top! Ortiz swings on Santana, Cash reels Ortiz in for a Gory Especial to a running GORY BOMB! Cover, TWO!! Ortiz survives and FTR grows frustrated, but Dax tags back in. Dax gets Ortiz up, brings him around, and hoists him to the top rope. Fans duel as Dax climbs up to join Ortiz. Cash tags back in and goes to the adjacent corner. Santana is on the apron, he and Cash brawl at the corner!

Dax SUPERPLEXES Ortiz while Cash ROCKS Santana. Cash climbs up and over Santana to leap, but Ortiz dodges! Cash bails out of the splash and Ortiz ENZIGURIS him down! Ortiz runs at Dax but he dodges, Ortiz bounces off buckles! Ortiz staggers into the BIG RIG!! Cash covers, Santana LEAPS to clotheslines Dax AND break up the pin!! All four men are down but the fans are giving a standing ovation! Santana and Dax bail out while Cash gets Ortiz up. Cash suplexes, Ortiz slips out and shoves Cash into the corner. Ortiz runs in as fans chant “This is Wrestling!” but Cash puts Ortiz out. Santana tags in, somersaults to the CUTTER!

Santana gets Cash up again for Ortiz’s FLYING CODE BREAKER! Santana SUPERKICKS Cash down, then PNP gets Cash up for the TU LO SABE! Cover, PNP wins!!

Winners: Santana & Ortiz, by pinfall

The Inner Circle is triumphant again! Santana & Ortiz just went to war with FTR and won out, does this put Proud ‘n’ Powerful in position to challenge whoever wins All Out’s tag title steel cage match?

AEW hears from Daniel Garcia and 2point0.

Matt Lee is fired up as he calls out Darby Allin. “You got Punk on the mind, don’t ya?” But do NOT look past their “son,” Daniel Garcia. Jeff Parker adds that you certainly don’t look ahead to Sunday, and arguably the biggest match in AEW history. Darby VS Punk, Parker’s excited, just not for the match. What Parker’s excited for how they can be the ones to take that match away from the fans! Garcia speaks up now, telling Darby that this Friday, on Rampage, “when I take you down to the mat and twist your body into the most uncomfortable ways that I can imagine, I am going to hurt you.” Red Death says there is not a shot Darby makes it to All Out, but will he be the one feeling the pain on Friday?

CM Punk is here!

The fans are thunderous for the Best in the World as he heads to the ring this close to his in-ring return. Punk gets the mic but takes a moment to revel in the fans chanting for him. “Are you guys sick of me yet? Because I gotta tell ya, this is too good to be true.” Punk could spend weeks, months even, just hearing Cult of Personality and feeling the love. There might even be some people out there who get tired of it real fast, but Punk ain’t one of them. Punk’s going to enjoy this while it lasts, because he knows that Sunday, in this very same building, “this could all end for me.” Punk is just being realistic, as he hasn’t wrestled in seven years, and is nervous, maybe even scared.

Fans assure Punk, “You Still Got It!” and he crosses his fingers in hopes of that. But knowing it could end, Punk wants to promise us this: every time he laces up his boots, every time he comes down the aisle, he will give us his very best. But wait! Garcia and 2point0 jump Punk! Punk does his best to fight them off but this is 3v1! They mug Punk as fans boo, stomping and hammering him again and again! This is another part of their plan to cancel the highly anticipated All Out match! But here comes Darby and Sting! Garcia and 2point0 get what shots they can in on Punk, then they brawl with Sting and Darby! Darby POSTS Garcia!

Punk and Sting fight off 2point0! Punk rains down fists on Parker in the corner, Sting DECKS Lee and has him in a corner, and Darby throws Garcia into the ring! Darby climbs a corner while Sting gets Lee in the dragon sleeper! Punk has Parker in a facelock and sees what’s going on around him, so he fireman’s carries Parker! COFFIN DROP! SCORPION DEATH DROP! And G T S!! Fans are thunderous again as Punk and Darby stand tall but also stare down. Sting gets a mic and Punk clears the ring of 2point0 so the Icon can speak. Sting says, “I gotta admit, I always did want to share a ring with you. Mucho respect, okay?” Their paths never did cross, even after all this time.

But that was then, this is now. And speaking of now, it felt really good for Sting to see the Go To Sleep happen right in front of him. It felt good to see a Coffin Drop, and it felt good to hit a Death Drop again. Sting says it just felt good to clear traffic, because they have the same goal in mind. They all want to see Punk VS Darby at All Out. Now things are out of the way, and that must include Sting. Darby is ready to go mano a mano, so Sting is going to fist bump his tag partner and head to the back. At All Out, when Darby and Punk collide, “it’s gonna be showtime for sure.” Sting steps away so Darby and Punk can stare down again. Is Punk as ready as the Relentless One to go all out in the ring?

AEW profiles Kenny Omega VS Christian Cage.

Excalibur says, “For many years, Kenny Omega was known as one of the best wrestlers in the world, if not the best wrestler in the world.” JR adds that Omega’s maintained this “strangle hold on the AEW World title is because he’s just that damn good.” JR says Omega is the best singles wrestler in the world and Excalibur notes that not many can say they’ve beaten Omega in an AEW ring. But Christian Cage is one of them. Paul Wight notes Christian’s undefeated streak in AEW, and how he pinned Omega for the Impact World Championship on Rampage’s debut.

Mark Henry says Christian has charisma and talent, but Tony Schiavone asks, “How can you say Kenny Omega’s gonna lose a big match?” Taz says this match will be unbelievable. Wight says Christian going into a PPV with this level of momentum might make All Out “the worst night in Kenny Omega’s life.” What happens when Captain Charisma tries to take Big Platinum from the Best Bout Machine on AEW’s biggest show of the year?

Tony Schiavone interviews MJF.

This Sunday, “Chris Jericho puts his career on the line against this man, the most disgusting, despicable human being that I’ve ever been around in my life,” and doing this interview is not something comfortable for Schiavone to do. But MJF says, “What an intro, Tony, such a professional.” MJF lists the various nicknames: “Cowboy Chris,” the Lionheart, the Man of 1004 Holds, the Sexy Beast, the Ayatollah of Rock ‘n Rolla, the Best in the World at What He Does, the Painmaker, the GOAT, Le Champion, the Demo God, Chris Jericho. Four decades of consistently evolving to stay at the top and being universally known as the greatest, Jericho’s career is unparalleled.

And whether or not MJF, Jericho’s “greatest rival,” cares to admit it, Jericho’s name is forever etched into the Mount Rushmore of pro-wrestling. But let’s not get it twisted. By the time MJF’s career is said and done, he will be taking Jericho’s place. And it will take fans a long time to get used to that, but MJF doesn’t mind being everyone’s “pro-wrestling stepdad”. MJF has big shoes to fill, that’s no easy feat. Muhammad Ali was once considered the greatest boxer, but he thought that one too many times. Ali kept coming back and coming back for the spotlight until his brains were scrambled eggs and his body was a shell of what it once was.

“Look in the mirror, Jericho.” After all MJF has put Jericho through, Jericho is like Ali. His legs are shaky, his back is aching, and it takes him five hours to get to sleep at night and a whole lot longer to get out of bed in the morning! MJF says Jericho is on a downward spiral! But just like Ali, Jericho’s an addict. Jericho needs the spotlight. Jericho craves it, because it is oh so intoxicating. MJF has taken that from Jericho three times already, “and when a man like you loses that spotlight, you’re willing to do just about anything to get it back.” That’s why Jericho is doing this. That’s why on September 5th, All Out, MJF will have the honor and privilege of ending one of the greatest runs in pro-wrestling!

MJF says it is so poetic that the same yearning that got Jericho “to the dance” will be the same reason his music dies. The Salt of the Earth isn’t pulling any punches, will he be the one to put Jericho’s lights out once and for all?

Orange Cassidy VS Jack Evans w/ Matt Hardy!

Freshly Squeezed has been getting closer and closer to shutting down the Hardy Family Office, but not even a broken nose and busted face can keep Big Money Matt down. Speaking of which, Hardy goes right after Cassidy the second he’s in the ring! The ref has to pull Hardy away, and then EJECTS him! Now Cassidy and Evans will be truly 1v1! Will Jack Evans’ body pay for the check Hardy’s anger just wrote for him?

Cassidy is still okay to compete so the bell rings, and Evans SCREW HIGH KICKS him down! Evans hammers away on Cassidy, wrenches and knees him to ropes, then whips him for a big jump kick! Evans kips up to show off, then he runs at Cassidy in a corner. Handspring back elbow, then a snap suplex! Evans rains down rights, stomps Cassidy down, then brings him up to CLUB him on the back. Evans KICKS Cassidy down but fans boo. Evans drags Cassidy back up, throws muay thai knees, then has Cassidy in the corner. Evans goes corner to corner again but Cassidy dumps him out hard! Evans gets back up to springboard, but Cassidy ducks under!

Cassidy speeds up, ducks, dodges and redirects to dodge again! Tilt-o-whirl DDT! Cover, TWO!! Evans survives but Cassidy keeps cool. Cassidy takes off the armband but Evans bails out. So Cassidy DIVES! Direct hit into railing, and Cassidy puts Evans in the ring. Cassidy goes up top and leaps for a BIG crossbody! Cover, TWO! Evans staggers up into a scoop, MICHINOKU DRIVER! Cover, TWO! Cassidy gives those devastating kicks to Evans! As well as the air between them! Evans rushes in, Cassidy gets around to a waistlock, but Evans switches. Cassidy switches, Evans switches back, and again, and again, and again! Evans is getting annoyed but the switching continues!

Cassidy shoves Evans into a corner, runs in but is put on the apron. Cassidy bumps Evans off buckles, fans fire up as he climbs again, but Evans ROCKS Cassidy first! Evans fires off hands, climbs up top, then stands Cassidy up. Cassidy blocks the superplex and throws body shots as AEW goes picture in picture.

Cassidy adjusts position, Evans throws hands then shifts position himself. Evans has Cassidy on the inside, but Cassidy still blocks his suplex. Cassidy throws body shot after body shot after body shot! Evans elbows Cassidy in the head over and over! Evans jumps up and over and comes back but into a mule kick! Cassidy adjusts, Evans goes up, SPIDER GERMAN SUPLEX! Cassidy lands hard, staggers up, but Evans CORKSCREW QUEBRADAS! Cover, TWO!! Cassidy survives but Evans sits him up for a PENALTY KICK! Evans drags Cassidy up to PENALY KICK again! Evans still isn’t done, he gets Cassidy up for a stalling suplex! Evans sits Cassidy up again for a third PENALTY KICK!

Evans stands Cassidy up again, but Cassidy cradle counters! Cassidy wins!!

Winner: Orange Cassidy, by pinfall

Well, that was outta nowhere! Evans is furious and arguing about things, but the count was the count! Hardy rushes back out now that the ringside ban is over, and he CLOBBERS Cassidy! Hardy rains down furious fists then drags Cassidy up. But here come Best Friends! Chuck Taylor and Wheeler Yuta run off Hardy, but here comes the rest of the HFO! The Private Party, Angelico and The Blade all mug Cassidy, Chuck and Yuta! But here comes Jurassic Express! Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus and Marko Stunt have their own beef with the HFO, will they become honorary Best Friends in this battle against Big Money Matt and his henchmen?

AEW profiles Miro VS Eddie Kingston.

The Mad King knows the AEW TNT Champion thinks of himself as God’s Favorite Champion, but then says, “Why is the DDT your Kryptonite? Because your neck is the Kryptonite!” Kingston promises to go after that neck, and everything Miro loves and desire, such as the TNT title. Without that title, Miro’s no longer anyone’s favorite. But Kingston wants Miro to take his hand as they “walk through Hell together.” And if Miro makes it through, then maybe Miro can go to Heaven.

Miro counters now. “Kingston’s talking about DDT’s and Kryptonite. God’s Favorite Champion stays down only for his wife in our hotel room after a victory.” The Mad King is going to realize redemption comes through agony, and Miro will bring both! “This is the word of the Redeemer.” But will Kingston make Miro eat his words along with an Uraken back hand?

Jon Moxley speaks.

“Everybody wants a piece of AEW, they’re coming from everywhere. I think it’s time we send a message about who’s still at the top of the food chain in AEW!” Moxley got his FedEx back from Tokyo, and one contract was signed. Only one man had the balls to step through the “forbidden door” and “chase the bogeyman.” That man is Satoshi Kojima. What a treat for the fans to see a NJPW legend in person. But then Moxley was insulted, realizing that only some “crazy old man” was willing to go toe-to-toe with him. Once the bell rings, there’s no respect. Moxley wants to take someone’s head off.

Every time he drops someone on their head, he is trying to break their neck! Every time he squeezes the throat, he wants to break their esophagus. So in Chicago, Moxley is coming for Kojima’s scalp! Has Kojima bitten off more than he can chew accepting the Maniac’s open challenge?

Jim Ross is in the ring.

Fans cheer but Good Ol’ JR admits he is feeling bittersweet. This is his first in-ring interview with AEW, and he will be talking to one of his longest term wrestling friends. JR personally feels what is happening is a bad decision, but we’ll hear why from this future hall of famer, the MVP of AEW, Chris Jericho! Fans cheer as and sing Judas for Le Champion as he makes his entrance. Jericho says he wants to say something he hasn’t said in a long time. “Welcome to, Chicago Is Jericho!” Jericho felt it was a good time to call back to the past, since 22 years ago, he started his “main event journey” in the business in Chicago!

It was at the All State Arena, and the man who recruited him for that journey is Good Ol’ JR! That is why Jericho wants JR out here for this moment. JR says it is an honor, but he wants to ask, why is Jericho putting this on himself? If Jericho loses, he stops wrestling in AEW. Why is this the stipulation? Jericho remembers that day when he signed with JR, and that is a good question. But first off, “MJF, you are a piece of shit!” Fans cheer for that one! Jericho says MJF is diabolical and calculating, just like him, and MJF is also a button-pusher, just like Jericho. MJF is confident and arrogant, but so is Jericho. The only thing MJF has over Jericho are those three wins.

Jericho remembers them exactly: 11/7/2020; 5/5/2021; and 8/18/2021. “Those dates are burned in my brain, JR.” Jericho can’t let this go, so that is why he has to put it all on the line to beat MJF. Jericho has never been complacent, it’s why he’s in AEW in the first place. Jericho first came here about three years ago, there was no guarantee AEW was going to succeed. JR was there, there was no guarantee this was going to be a success. And yet, here we are! Episode 100 of Dynamite “as the hottest wrestling company in the world today!” Fans chant for Jericho and “A E DUB!” as Jericho says if he hadn’t taken this chance, he’d be kicking himself for being complacent.

Sure, Jericho could just stay in AEW a long time, have a lot more great matches, win a lot more championships, but every time he looks in the mirror, he’d know, “You couldn’t beat MJF!” Fans boo that but Jericho says he couldn’t live with that. That’d be the beginning of the end of Le Champion and Jericho’s time in this ring. But Jericho doesn’t want it to be the end! Jericho wants more, he never wants to stop! Fans chant “WE WANT MORE!” and he says this is why he has to take this chance. If something horrible happens and the journey ends where it began, “then so be it.”

Jericho will go to commentary and do his best there full-time, and thank all the fans around the world for helping him make his dreams come true. Then Jericho will thank us for letting him be a part of our lives, and for being a big part of his. “But before that happens, remember Max. You’re not gonna take this away from me! You will not take this away from me! If you want Chris Jericho out of this ring, you’re gonna have to be the best you’ve ever been!” MJF will have to be the best MJF has ever been, breaking every bone in Jericho’s body and squeezing ever breath out of Jericho’s lungs!

But it won’t happen, though, because he IS Chris Jericho! And MJF doesn’t have the BALLS to get rid of him! “See you on Sunday, at All Out, ya little prick!” Jericho is the most fired up he’s ever been in his illustrious career! Will Sunday be Jericho’s finale? Or just another epic reinvigoration?

AEW profiles Darby Allin VS CM Punk.

Darby says, “CM Punk said if he was 15 years old, Darby Allin would’ve been his favorite wrestler. Well, when Darby Allin was 15 years old, CM Punk was his favorite wrestler.” But seven years ago, Punk left, and that is when Darby entered pro-wrestling himself. Then Punk said something Darby didn’t really like: Punk said Darby was first on his list. Darby says that is Punk already overlooking him. Punk has seen what Darby’s willing to do, and it is stuff Punk’s never even felt in that ring. So Punk saying Darby was first on the list when Darby should’ve been last on the list, now Darby knows what he needs to do. Darby needs to do the impossible: beat CM Punk in Chicago, or die trying.

Brian Cage VS “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs w/ Team Taz!

The Machine knows with Hook in Hobbs’ corner, it is only a matter of time before Team Taz goes after him all together. So that’s why Cage is hitting Hobbs first at the ramp! Taz is on commentary and protesting that this is “typical Cage,” doing things the cowardly way! Cage bumps Hobbs off the apron, but Hobbs hits back with forearms. The behemoths brawl as the ref tells them to get in the ring, but Cage bumps Hobbs off the apron again. Cage whips Hobbs hard into railing! The ref keeps telling Cage to get in the ring but Cage whips Hobbs hard into railing again! Cage throws haymakers and knees into Hobbs before putting him in the ring.

The bell finally rings, Cage gets Hobbs up but Hobbs gets away. Cage pursues as they go back out the ring, and Hook plays roadblock. Taz says Cage better not hit his son, but Cage just goes back into the ring to go after Hobbs. Hobbs drops elbows then ax handles over and over. Hobbs steadies himself, drags Cage back up, but Cage scoops first! Hobbs slips out, shoves Cage and then CLOBBERS him with a full body check! “Who betta?!” Hobbs says, mocking Cage’s own catchphrase. Hobbs chokes Cage on the ropes while AEW goes picture in picture.

The ref reprimands, Hobbs lets off, then digs his knee into Cage! The ref counts, Hobbs lets off again and Cage flounders in the corner. Hobbs whips Cage corner to corner, then runs in to clothesline! Hobbs digs his fingers into Cage’s face and talks trash but the ref counts. Hobbs stops to whip Cage corner to corner again. Cage goes up and over and even somersaults before running back in! Uppercut, gamangiri and GER- No! Hobbs elbows free of the waistlock to then CLOBBER Cage again! Hobbs drops knees over and over, targeting the ribs. Hobbs digs a knee into Cage’s side while pulling him in with a headlock! Cage endures, Hobbs lets off and then soaks up the heat.

Hobbs grins as he looms over Cage. Hobbs stomps Cage but Cage throws body shots. Cage fights up and throws hands, then catches Hobbs’ clothesline into a clinch. Hobbs fights off the lift with elbows, then LARIATS Cage down! Hobbs catches his breath before he stands over Cage. Hobbs rains down fists, drags Cage up to the ropes to choke him again, but lets off as the ref counts 4. Hobbs smirks again as he yanks the ropes and snaps Cage back. Hobbs KICKS Cage in the side, talks trash as he stands over Cage, and then brings Cage back up. AEW returns to single picture as Hobbs ROCKS Cage with a right.

Hobbs RAMS Cage into the corner, throws his shoulders in more, then gives a quick headbutt as he lets off. Hobbs brings Cage around, reels him in and puts one out, but Cage fights out to fireman’s carry! Hobbs slips out to waistlock, Cage switches to half nelson, COMPLETE SHOT! Both behemoths are down and a standing count begins. Fans rally up as both men go to opposite sides of the ring. Hobbs and Cage use the ropes to stand up, and they run at each other! DOUBLE CLOTHESLINES, but neither man falls! Another DOUBLE CLOTHESLINES, then Cage boots away Hobbs’ next clothesline to mule kick and front kick to SUPERKICK!

Hobbs staggers, Cage clinches, EXPLODER! Fans fire up with Cage as he uppercuts, gamangiris and GERMAN SUPLEXES! Cover, TWO! Cage keeps his cool as he paces. Cage slashes the throat, drags Hobbs up, but Hobs wrenches out and RAMS shoulders! Hobbs scoops, Cage slips off and schoolboys. Hobbs rolls through, ducks the discus, SPINEBUSTER! Cover, TWO!! Cage survives and Hobbs is furious! Hook tells Hobbs to finish this and Hobbs tells the ref to back off. Hobbs glares down at Cage and eggs him on. Cage sits up but Hobbs brings him up, only for Cage to JUMP KNEE! Fireman’s carry, F5!! Cage fires up but Hobbs goes to the apron!

Cage gets Hobbs, brings him to a corner, and then DEAD LIFT SUPERPLEXES Hobbs up and in!! “WHO BETTA?!” Fans fire up behind Cage as he drags Hobbs up again. Hook distracts the ref, Hobbs fights the suplex to shove Cage, into a BELT SHOT from Ricky Starks! When did Ricky get here!? Hobbs scoops Cage, for TOWN BIDNESS! Cover, Hobbs wins!!

Winner: Will Hobbs, by pinfall

Taz says THAT is teamwork, and Starks pretends to be shocked! Cage lost an unofficial handicap match, will he ever get a fair shake against the team that betrayed him?

Malakai Black speaks.

“What a weird narrative to spin, Mr. Johnson.” Supposedly, Malakai left the ring because Lee Johnson showed up? No, Malakai left because he is the one who dictates the pace. Since then, it has been seven days. “Seven days to atone for interrupting me.” Malakai wants us to know he actually showed mercy to Cody Rhodes, and to Arn and Brock Anderson, because he granted them “a swift death.” Johnson will not be so lucky, however. Malakai plans to make Johnson suffer. Then a coin will be placed on each of Johnson’s eyelids, so that when he is sent down to Hades, Johnson can pay the boat man’s toll. Will Big Shotty’s offense have little affect on the man from the House of Black?

The Factory is in the ring.

QT Marshall says “What we don’t do on Dynamite is stand on the stage like a bunch of little kids and laugh at QT Marshall.” So Paul Wight, get your big ass out here and try to laugh in QT’s face, man to man, “heavyweight to heavyweight.” Wight makes his way to the ring, not caring that QT has added to the numbers of The Factory since last time. Wight gets right in the ring, and the Factory swarms him! QT stays back to bark orders, but Wight EXPLODES out of the corner! Wight DECKS one Factory flunky, runs over both Comoroto and the next biggest guy at the same time, then choke grips the final newbie for a CHOKE SLAM!

Aaron Solo is up top, he LEAPS at Wight, but Wight SWATS him like a fly! QT has bailed out long before Gunn Club rushes out there to even the odds. QT has a chair, but the Gunn Club boys gets at him and takes away that chair! Fans chant, “QT SUCKS! QT SUCKS!” and now there’s only the All Out showdown- WAIT! Billy Gunn just gives Wight a chairshot to the back?! Why!? QT himself is shocked, but Wight gets up again. Gunn HEAD SHOTS Wight with the chair!! QT legitimately has no idea why the Gunn Club just betrayed the Giant, but his Factory is still taking advantage! They get Wight up for QT to hit the DIAMOND CUTTER! Will QT be even more of a vulture come All Out?

Schiavone interviews Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter & Rebel backstage.

What is this big news she has for AEW? The Doctor and AEW Women’s World Champion says “We’re finally going to add some star power to this Women’s Casino Battle Royale, because two of the most prestigious females in all of wrestling are gonna be in it.” And she is of course talking about Rebel and Jamie. If one of them- Well ok if Jamie wins, then this title is going nowhere because Jamie is on Britt’s side. This title is staying right with Britt. Isn’t Britt underestimating her challenger, Kris Statlander? Statlander is undefeated since her return.

That brings Britt to her next big news for free agency. One of the hottest stars in all of wrestling today has just signed a long term contract with AEW, guaranteed to keep these ratings sky high. That person is… Britt! She’s staying around in AEW a lot longer, because Tony Khan realized that with Britt as champion and AEW’s golden girl, and is now allowing her to make matches! So this Friday will be a feast as Jamie & Rebel take on Kris Statlander 2v1. Oh, how unfortunate that it’s just two days before the PPV! Hopefully Statlander doesn’t get hurt. See you Friday, Kris. Yours truly, Britt Baker, DMD. Will the Galaxy’s Greatest Alien make it through the sidekicks to still go after the champion?

Tay Conti VS Penelope Ford w/ The Bunny!

Speaking of the Women’s Casino Battle Royale, the Brazilian Blackbelt Beauty, the Superbad Girl and the HFO’s Allie are all going to be competing for that title opportunity. However, Ford and Bunny are willing to work together as a bad girls club if it means keeping Conti out of contention. Will Conti make sure there’s a Tay-KO in Ford’s immediate future to change the course of things?

Conti sees Ford and Bunny talking on the outside, and decides to CROSSBODY them both down! Fans fire up with Conti as she drags Ford up and into the ring. The bell rings, Ford rushes in but Conti spins her around for drop sayanagi after drop sayanagi! Conti gets Ford up again and blocks a forearm to a wrench, spin and wristlock. Bunny coaches Ford but Conti wrenches again to spin and cravat Ford for knees! Conti spins Ford again to a dragon sleeper for clubbing forearms! Conti is having fun with Ford now as she clubs her over and over, to a BACK2BACK BREAKER! Cover, TWO! Ford swings into another wrench, scoop and swinging FACEBUSTER!

Ford staggers, Conti BOOTS her down! Cover, TWO! Bunny is frustrated on behalf of Ford but Conti keeps her cool. Conti drags Ford up, whips her to a corner, but Ford reverses. Ford runs in but Conti BOOTS her again! Conti goes up and up but Ford trips her up! Conti falls to the mat! Cover as AEW goes picture in picture, TWO!

Ford fumes but she kicks Conti in the back. Ford hooks arms, drags Conti up and bumps her hard off buckles. Ford drags Conti around to then dig her boots in at the corner. The ref counts, Ford lets off and Bunny pulls Conti’s hair! Bunny gets away with it before Ford comes back to bring Conti up. Ford chokes Conti on ropes, lets off as the ref counts 4, then KICKS Conti against the ropes! Conti flounders, Ford HOTSHOTS Conti! Ford then runs to dropkick Conti in the back! Conti flops to the apron, Ford catches her breath, then runs to triangle jump knee drop! Ford pushes Conti back into the ring, takes a moment to fix her hair, and AEW goes to break.

AEW returns as Conti fights up and arm-drags Ford off the motorcycle stretch. Ford ends up in a corner but storms after Conti. Conti throws elbows, Ford CLUBS her on the back. Ford whips Conti to a corner, runs corner to corner to handspring, but Conti dodges! Conti comes back, Ford dodges and then handsprings in again, to RAM a shoulder into Conti! Ford runs side to side but Conti dodges the boot! Conti back elbows, brings Ford around and then goes up and up and CROSSBODIES! Fans fire up with Conti as she rallies with big clotheslines! Conti gets around to scoop and swing for the SPINEBUSTER! Cover, TWO!! Ford survives and Conti is shocked!

Ford flounders to ropes while Bunny cheers but Conti storms over. Ford yanks Conti into the ropes! Ford has a leg, turns Conti over, HALF CRAB! But then Ford shifts to get the deathlock! SUPERBAD MUTA LOCK! But Conti fights right out to get a CALF KILLER!! Ford endures, reaches out for Bunny, and gets the ROPEBREAK! Conti lets go at the count, runs in at the corner and BOOTS Ford again! Then Conti goes side to side for another BOOT! Then the other way, ANOTHER BOOT! Conti drags Ford out but Ford wrenches to a fireman’s carry! GUT BUSTER DROP!! Cover, TWO!! Ford is furious, as is Bunny, but fans fire up for Conti’s toughness!

“This is Awesome!” as Ford gets Conti back up. Conti reverses to a small package, TWO! Conti ROCKS Ford, runs but Bunny swipes at her! Conti grabs Bunny and drags her up to the apron! Bunny flails, Ford runs in, but Conti gets away! Ford stops herself from running into Bunny, but Conti shoves them into each other! Bunny falls down, Conti rolls Ford up, with a bridge! Conti wins!

Winner: Tay Conti, by pinfall

The numbers game backfired on Ford and Bunny, but Ford CLOBBERS Conti from behind! Ford and Bunny are sore losers as they stomp and hammer away on Conti, but here comes the Dark Order’s ANNA JAY! Jay is back from injury and she saves her best friend from Bunny and Ford! Tay & Jay are reunited, and this just in! The Queenslayer returns to action this Sunday in the Women’s Casino Battle Royale! Now that numbers are even, what are the odds Bunny and Ford don’t win at All Out?

Backstage interview with Thunder Rosa.

La Mera Mera is also in the Women’s Casino Battle Royale, what does she feel her chances are? Before she can say anything, both the Vicious Vixens and the #JadeBrand barge in. Nyla Rose and Jade Cargill, with Vickie Guerrero and Mark Sterling backing them up, dare Rosa to say she’s winning the battle royal. Rosa says they can’t be serious, trying to intimidate her. Nyla says they are serious. Well in that case, if Rosa’s going down, she’s doing down swinging. The earrings are off and the forearms start flying! But Rosa is stuck in a 2v1 with two strong enemies, so that doesn’t last long! But then Nyla and Jade stare down!

Sterling steps in to keep the peace, saying there is no sense in doing this now. “There’s way more money on Sunday, if you know what I mean.” Vickie says this is the first time he’s made any kind of sense. Vickie has Nyla head out, as does Sterling with Jade. Rosa is left writhing and angry, will everyone feel the wrath of La Mera Mera at All Out?

AEW profiles the Final Fight, Jericho VS MJF.

JR says, “Seeing what Chris has accomplished in AEW since the debut of our brand has been nothing short of extraordinary.” Schiavone remembers back to Jericho arriving at the announcement press conference and shocking everyone. Wight says the evolutions and trials Jericho has gone through has pushed him mentally and emotionally to his limits. MJF says he’s “mopped the floor” with Jericho, Taz notes that MJF has kept Jericho on his toes, and Mark Henry sees that MJF wants the throne for himself now. If Jericho loses, no one really understands the ramifications. Will MJF retire THE Chris Jericho? Wight admits, he’s worried. Will the Final Fight truly be the final night for Jericho in the ring?

8 Man Tag: The Elite VS The Lucha Brothers & Jurassic Express!

At All Out, The Young Bucks are going to defend their AEW Tag Team Championships against Rey Fenix & Penta El Zero M inside a steel cage! But they’re not worried, especially with the Impact World Tag Team Champions by their side. Will The Elite (the the Elite) be rolling into All Out with yet another big win? Or will having Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus and #CeroMiedo be what helps the Lucha Brothers score some early momentum going into their battle of steel and gold?

The teams sort out, big Doc Gallows starts against the equally big Luchasaurus, and fans are fired up already! Gallows throws a haymaker, Luchasaurus gives it back, and we have a brawl already! Gallows kicks low, whips Luchasaurus to a corner, then runs in to back elbow! Gallows throws body shots as Callis claims The Elite doesn’t need interference, despite all the times we’ve seen them use it. Gallows ROCKS Luchasaurus with an uppercut, but Luchasaurus turns things around to fire off big hands! Luchasaurus waistlocks, Gallows elbows free and kicks low again. Gallows reels Luchasaurus in, Luchasaurus resists the suplex to suplex Gallows instead!

Luchasaurus growls at The Elite, then drags Gallows up. Gallows uppercuts Luchasaurus then tags out to Nick Jackson. Nick runs in but into a flapjack! Fenix tags in, he goes up and leaps but Nick gets under. Fenix comes back, Fenix whips him to ropes but Fenix uses the Tiger Feint to rewind. Nick ducks the heel kick but Fenix whips him to ropes. Nick flips up and around, Fenix dodges but Nick dodges back. Fenix and Nick stare down Matt and Penta, then go back to each other. They each dodge, to tag in their brothers! Penta and Fenix run at Matt and Nick, both sides dodge, then everyone SUPERKICKS! Those all cancel out, so the four start shoving and talking trash!

The ref tries to keep the peace but then the Good Brothers blindside the Lucha Bros, then sucker punch Jurassic Express! The fans boo and the ref reprimands but The Elite isolates Penta. Matt stomps Penta, does a funky dance, then mocks Cero Miedo as he runs. But Jungle Boy trips Matt up! Penta hits a SLINGBLADE as AEW goes picture in picture!

Penta tags JB, JB and Penta double whip Matt, leap frog to SUPERKICK! Matt is down, JB gets a boost from Penta for a SPLASH! Cover, TWO! JB stays on Matt with CHOPS, then runs, but into a cheap shot from Nick! JB elbows Nick down, runs at Matt, but Matt sidesteps. Matt goes to hip toss JB but JB uses that to get up and RANA- NO! Nick blocks, and with Matt’s help he APRON POWERBOMBS Jungle Boy! JB flops to the floor, The Elite again sucker punches the Lucha Brothers and Luchasaurus, and Brandon Cutler cools Nick down with the spray. Nick puts JB in the ring, Matt stomps JB before he can get to his corner, and then Matt brings JB up and around.

JB throws body shots and back hands but Matt keeps him from his corner by pulling hair! The ref reprimands, so Matt throws JB down by his hair. Tag to Nick, he stomps JB around, then tags in Gallows. The Elite mugs JB, Gallows looms over him, then snapmares JB for a flurry of elbows to the shoulders. Gallows wraps on a chinlock and squeezes JB tight. JB endures, fights up, throws body shots, but Gallows throws him down by his hair now. Nick tags in again, taunts the Lucha Brothers and distracts the ref, and Gallows gets a cheap shot in on JB! Nick then chokes JB on the ropes! The ref sees that, counts, and Nick lets off at 4. Nick does his mock Macho Man strut, then bumps JB off buckles.

Tag to Matt, the Bucks dropkick Luchasaurus down together! The Lucha Bros try to hit back but the Bucks knock them down first! The Bucks strut around and mock the fans cheering. They then return to JB and mug him in the Elite corner. The Bucks double whip JB to the corner, then Nick runs in as AEW returns to single picture. JB BOOTS Nick away, Matt runs in but gets an elbow, and JB rolls off Matt’s back but into Nick’s shove. Karl Anderson finally does something by tripping JB up, dragging him out and shoving him into railing! But JB rebounds to LARIAT Anderson! The Machine Gun checks his face, JB blocks Nick’s apron Penalty Kick and uses that to get up on the apron!

JB DECKS Nick, SUPERKICKS Gallows, then shoulders into Matt. JB slingshots up and over and hot tags Fenix! Fans fire up as Fenix wrenches, knuckle locks and CHOPS Nick! Matt runs in but Fenix jumps over him, only for Matt to get a waistlock. Fenix elbows free, ducks Nick’s forearm so that Matt takes the hit, then Fenix CHOPS Nick again. Fenix SUPERKICKS Anderson, mule kicks his leg out, CHOPS Nick again, then BUZZSAWS Anderson! All while keeping the knuckle lock! Nick swings on Fenix, but Fenix ducks that to get a wristlock ripcord and ROUNDHOUSE! Fans fire up as Fenix goes up and up and then shows off before the flipping arm-drag!

Fans are thunderous as Fenix gets Nick over to the corner. Tag to Penta, feed to a pop-up in the corner, Penta SUPERKICKS Nick out of his headstand! Fenix fireman’s carries for a DEATH VALLEY DRIVER, Penta is up top for WAZZUP!? Cover, but Matt breaks it! Fenix bumps Matt off buckles but Nick blocks Penta’s chop with a knuckle lock. Nick CHOPS Penta, goes up and up a corner for “LUCHA LIBRE!” and gets both an arm-drag and a headscissors on the Lucha Brothers! Nick aims, SUPERKICK for Penta! Penta SUPERKICKS Nick in return! Nick rebounds to SUPERKICK Fenix, while Penta SUPERKICKS Matt! DOUBLE ROUNDHOUSES for Penta and Nick!!

Fans are loving this as the champions and their challengers are both down! Nick and Penta crawl for their corners, hot tags to Anderson and Luchasaurus! Luchasaurus rallies on the Good Brothers, then tosses Anderson to the corner for fast hands! GERMAN SUPLEX! Gallows gets in but Luchasaurus ducks the buzzsaw to kip up! TAIL WHIP! Gallows staggers so Luchasaurus shoves him out of the ring! Nick GAMANGIRIS Luchasaurus but slingshots into the choke grip! CHOKE SLAM outside, ONTO Gallows and Matt! JB builds speed and Luchasaurus gives him a boost so he can FLY! Direct hit onto The Elite!

Anderson staggers up into the choke grip, CHOKE SLAM! STANDING MOONSAULT! Cover, TWO!! Tag to Penta then tag to Fenix. Penta BUZZSAWS Anderson, brings him around as Fenix climbs, “CERO MIEDO!” But Matt distracts the ref so that Brandon Cutler can COLD SPRAY Fenix in the face!! Gallows YAKUZA KICKS Penta down, then he and Anderson give Fenix MAGIC KILLER!! Cover, Luchasaurus breaks it in time! Gallows POSTS Luchasaurus, The Elite regroup and Nick tags in. Nick tags Matt, the Bucks get Fenix up as fans rally. B T E- NO! Fenix dodges and knees collide! Handspring DOUBLE CUTTER!!

Fenix hurries to the apron, BOOTS Anderson and SUPERKICKS Gallows, then springboards to DOUBLE CROSSBODY! But the Bucks catch him and pop him up into a gut wrench! Nick hurries to the apron now, he springboards, MELTZER DRIVER!! Cover, The Elite wins!!

Winners: The Elite, by pinfall

Callis is laughing his head off on commentary, and says he has some business to take care of now. The Bucks and Good Brothers celebrate, and here comes Kenny Omega and Michael Nakazawa. Nakazawa is holding up the AEW World Championship for Omega as Omega gets a mic to laugh in his own right. Omega joins the Elite in the ring and starts the assault on Jurassic Express and the Lucha Brothers! “You just can’t take a hint, can you?”

A table has been set up and Omega shouts, “Take care of the dinosaur!” The Good Brothers get Luchasaurus up for MAGIC KILLER through the table!! Omega then stands JB against the ropes and shouts, “Who do you think you are, huh?!” Omega says JB isn’t in contention anymore so why is he bothering to fight back? But then CHRISTIAN CAGE shows up and SPEARS Omega down! Christian fires off on the Bucks but the Good Brothers return, and even Nakazawa helps out! Cutler gets kendo sticks for everyone and they use those to choke the contenders. Omega claims this was the trap they laid, and Christian fell right into it.

Omega goes on about the great meeting with Tony Khan from earlier today, talking about the AEW video game, the AEW ratings, “but you really got to be careful not to misplace personal items.” Omega says Callis has the “keys to the control room,” and wants him to “LET HER RIP! BRING IT DOWN!” The cage is descending! “You thought we were done?!” The mugging of the Elite’s enemies continues as the cage encapsulates the ring! Omega has the Elite set the Lucha Brothers up for a quick photo op, then Omega SMACKS Christian with a kendo stick! The Bucks and Good Brothers do the same to the Lucha Brothers!

Alex Abrahantes returns, and he’s brought The Elite Hunter! Frankie Kazarian rushes out with other enemies of the Elite! Cutler and the Good Brothers do whatever they can to stop Kaz, Dante Martin, Jurassic Express and even Orange Cassidy from scaling the cage! Mark Stunt is way up top, but Cutler sprays him in the face! Stunt has to retreat down the corner girder to save himself from falling. The Bucks handcuff the Lucha Brothers to ropes to SUPERKICK them down! SUPERKICK after SUPERKICK from Nick to each brother, and Matt rubs the tag titles in their faces. Omega even tells Nick to calm it down so they can pick on Christian now.

The Bucks sit Christian up as Omega laughs, and together as The Elite, B T E TRIPLE TRIGGER!! Nakazawa cuffs Christian for Omega, and Omega sarcastically says he’s sorry this has to happen this way. AEW is wrapping as Omega has his photo op with a downed Captain Charisma, is this foreshadowing how All Out ends on Sunday?

My Thoughts:

WOW! Now this was a packed go-home! A lot of solid promos and great vignettes for the All Out matches, but MJF and Jericho of course had the best two. Jericho is so fired up with this, I honestly can’t be sure which way The Final Fight goes. Jericho’s had such a great career already but just as there’s so much more for him still to do, is he realizing in real-life that he actually can’t do this for that much longer? All Out is must-see just on that match because of what it means for Jericho. Britt’s promo was really good, too, on all the blatant teases of free agents that could be coming to AEW but aren’t yet, i.e. The IIconics and Adam Cole.

FTR VS PNP was a badass opening tag match, and it is very big for PNP to get the win here. I really do think Santana & Ortiz will be poised to challenge whoever the tag champions are after All Out, because whether it’s PNP VS Bucks or PNP VS Lucha Brothers, that’s top tier tag action right there. I like the guts Garcia & 2.0 are showing still trying to go after Darby and now even CM Punk, and seeing the three finishers in a row from Darby, Sting and Punk was great television. Sting’s promo could’ve been a bit crisper but he got his point across that this will be all on Darby. Darby has a good promo, and he really does make a good point about how a list of dream matches should technically increase in importance and all that.

Cassidy VS Evans was a very good match but what a bummer that for the TV audience, this ended abruptly in a picture in picture. HFO going after Cassidy so that Best Friends and Jurassic Express run them off was good set-up for a 10 Man Tag in the Buy-In this Sunday. I swear I was saying something along the lines of this being the blow off not too long ago, so great to see AEW saw that for themselves. Cage VS Hobbs was also a very good match, but of course Team Taz uses Heel tactics to screw over Cage. We definitely need some kind of FTW Championship match with a ringside band on Team Taz so Cage and Starks can truly settle this.

Malakai Black has a very good promo calling out Lee Johnson, and their match this Friday on Rampage is going to be a good one. Still hoping this leads to Malakai VS Dustin on a big time Dynamite like the Grand Slam in a few weeks. However, the Nightmare Family seems to be losing members and in ways I don’t really understand. The Gunn Club turning on Paul Wight feels like a really forced way to knock Wight down so that QT and the Factory can stand tall tonight. Does this math mean Wight wins his in-ring return against the younger star? If QT still wins, the math just looks gross. The Factory should’ve looked like chickens tonight so they could cheat Wight at All Out and have QT win.

Conti VS Ford was a great match to build up the women’s midcard while also giving some great momentum towards the Women’s Casino Battle Royal. Conti winning and Jay returning is great stuff, but given Rosa getting mugged by Nyla Rose and Jade Cargill, that just furthers my confidence in Rosa winning the match. Britt will surely find a way to win against Statlander so that Britt and Rosa can revisit their awesome feud and settle things with the title on the line. Plus, who doesn’t want to see them revisit their Unsanctioned Match in some form or another?

And then, even after how packed tonight was, there was SO MUCH awesome stuff in the 8 Man Tag main event. The Elite not only win but they stand tall after brutalizing just about everyone, but I really only see the tag titles changing hands. It’s the first tag cage match in AEW, the Lucha Brothers are fired up and have a lot they can do after as AEW Dynamite goes into “season three,” title change would be a great way to make All Out stand out. As for Omega, he does stand tall over Christian here, but Christian’s already Impact World Champion, Christian can do plenty with that over in Impact while AEW gets us back on track for Omega VS Hangman, the one true way Omega must lose the title.

My Score: 9.2/10

PLAY BY PLAY

Adam Copeland is here!

The fans fire up and sing along as The Rated R Superstar makes his entrance, complete with the pyro but also a black eye. Cope goes to the ring, he grabs a mic, and he tells Seattle, “If you couldn’t tell, Dynasty on Sunday didn’t necessarily go our way. Yes, my face got messed up, way to go, Einstein. I got glue in my forehead, staples in my forehead, I got a shiner. Let’s face it, FTR… They said what they were gonna do and they did it.” The fans boo but Cope says they got to Christian, too, that’s why he’s not here. Christian’s gotta get an MRI on his forearm to see if it’s broke. The fans also boo that.

Cope says FTR gave his wife a piledriver. They took Christian’s watch! And in Christian’s world, that’s actually worse! There are three things you don’t mess with when it comes to Christian: His watch, his wine, and his women. In that order. But FTR, on Dynamite, you came out and said that while you’re the champions, Cope & Cage will not get another title shot. The fans boo again, but Cope says he is cooking an idea on that so bear with him. But if FTR thinks that this is just about titles, that C&C are just gonna walk away cuz they didn’t win at Dynasty, they’ve watched C&C’s careers and think that these two are just gonna walk away?

Do you think that they’re just gonna tuck their tails and run? The fans say “NO!” Cope says that is NOT what they do! Christian was forced to retire for seven YEARS! He busted his ass and he got this back! The fans cheer that, and Cope says he was retired for NINE YEARS, told he can never do this again because if he fell over, he could die! But Cope is standing here, full o’ piss ‘n’ vinegar! C&C are like dogs on a bone, and they will END FTR and take their pound of flesh! The fans cheer, but then FTR makes their way out here. Cope is ready to fight, but where are they? FTR walks out on stage, and Stoke has the mic as he smiles at Cope.

But then RPG VICE rush Cope, just like last week! Cope is ready this time and he fights off Rocky & Trent, but now FTR joins in! The fans boo this 4v1 mugging with Stoke cheering them on! But wait! The Young Bucks rush out here! Matt & Nick Jackson rush the ring, and they dodge FTR to CLOBBER RPG Vice! Then DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for FTR! RPG Vice go after The Bucks, then send them at each other! The Bucks reverse to LARIAT Rocky, then they DOUBLE SUPERKICK Trent! Cope SPEARS Trent down and the fans fire up! Cope snarls as he stands back up, and he shakes hands with The Bucks as thanks for the help.

Cope & The Bucks stare FTR down as FTR retreats, but will The Bucks and C&C have to fight it out to go after those tag team championships?

Jack Perry speaks.

“At Dynasty, I got my first taste of what it’s like to defend this championship. And it’s exactly what I’ve been waiting for. But Don Callis, you only got close enough to get a sniff, because I beat your biggest, baddest and most dangerous, Mark Davis. But after what you just did to the Young Bucks, well, I wanna shove this up your big, stupid, spray-tanned nose. So why don’t you go ahead and pick your favorite goon out of the bunch and meet me next week in Portland so that I can add another notch to my belt as the National Champion.” Jungle Jack has thrown out the challenge, but who will be up to the task?

The Young Bucks VS The Rascalz!

Matt & Nick got a warm-up in with that brawl, but now it’s time to go to work. Will Spring Breakthru turn into a Superkick Party? Or will Zachary Wentz & Myron Reed light it up?

The teams sort out and Nick starts against Zach. The bell rings, Zach and Nick circle, shake hands, then rally the fans. Nick and Zach circle, tie up, and Nick wrenches an arm to a wristlock. Nick YANKS the arm, but Zach rolls, kips up, and flips back to arm-drag free! The fans cheer, Zach dodges Nick to hurdle over. Nick leaps over, then WHEEL KICKS! The fans cheer as Nick whips Zach, but Zach reverses. Matt sneaks the tag, Nick goes up and over to clinch, GUT BUSTER to BACKBERAKER NECKBREAKER! The fans cheer while Zach scrambles away and Myron tags in. Myron runs up, The Bucks dodge to double kick.

The Bucks double whip but Myron ducks the lariats. Matt switches with Myron and feeds to Nick for a waistlock. Myron BOOTS Matt, switches with Nick, but Nick switches back. Matt runs up, SUNSET GERMAN SUPLEX! The fans cheer while Myron flounders away. The Bucks go back for Myron, bring him up, and put him in the ropes. They mug Myron but Zach goes after The Bucks. Zach whips, Nick reverses, but Zach puts Nick on the apron. Matt runs up, LARIAT ENZIGIRI SANDWICH! Then a CATAPULT into the GAMANGIRI! Nick goes up, DOUBLE STOMP BACKBREAKER, and a somersault into the BACKSTABBER on Myron!

The fans fire up with The Bucks as they stand tall, and Matt brings Myron around. Tag to Nick, he CLUBS Myron, then The Bucks double whip. Myron ducks ‘n ‘dodges, shoves Matt into Nick, and then reaches for Zach! Nick reels Myron in and back suplexes, but Myron lands out. Matt is there to back suplex but Myron lands out. Myron slides under, UP KICKS Matt, and he avoids Nick’s senton! Myron crawls and hot tags Zach! The fans cheer as Zach rallies with forearms and elbows, then he CHOPS Nick! Zach whips, Nick reverses, but Zach turns hurdle into FLAPJACK and deadlift GERMAN SUPLEX! Zach fires off kicks on Matt, BUZZSAW and DOUBLE STOMPS!

The fans fire up again while The Bucks bail out. Zach & Myron build speed to DOUBLE DIVE! Now The Rascalz stand tall, and they just keep going! Myron is a step for Zach to hit a SUPER DIVE! Zach takes both Bucks down, but he puts Matt in. Myron picks Matt up, SLINGSHOT BACK SUPLEX! The Rascalz intercept Nick with kicks, then double whip him to ropes. DOUBLE HIP TOSS, but Nick lands out! Meeting of the minds, then Nick suplexes Myron. STUN-DOG MILLIONAIRE, and Zach catches Nick outta the air, SUPERKICK GERMAN SUPLEX COMBO! Bridging cover, TWO! Nick survives and the fans cheer while Collision goes picture in picture.

Zach clamps on a chinlock and grinds Nick down. Nick endures, fights up, but Zach RAMS him into the Rascalz’ corner. Zach stomps Nick down, tags Myron, and Myron stomps Nick down. The ref counts, Myron tags Zach, but Nick fires back with  hands! Nick ROCKS Zach, BLASTS Myron, then ROCKS Zach again! But Zach keeps Nick from Matt! Zach whips, Nick goes up and out to PENALTY KICK Myron! But Zach BLASTS Nick off the apron! Zach aims to TORNILLO PLANCHA! Down goes Nick and Zach fires up! Zach drags Nick up, puts him back in the ring, then clamps on with a chinlock. Nick endures again, and fires body shots.

Zach KNEES Nick low, whips him back to the Rascalz’ corner, then tags Myron. They put Nick in a neutral corner, then Zach runs up to SHINING WIZARD! Myron runs up to get a boost from Zach, slingshot and CODE BREAKER! Zach goes up to DUOBLE STOMP! Cover, but Matt breaks it! The ref reprimands but Matt backs off. Myron stands Nick up, CLUBS him to ropes, but Nick kicks in return. Myron ROCKS Nick, ROCKS him again, then tags Zach. Nick fights back again as Spring Breakthru returns to single picture. Matt RAMS Zach, slingshots up and over, then whips Zach. Zach handsprings, but into a NORTHERN LIGHTS! Matt starts up the Polar Express! That’s two, then three! Myron springboards in, but Matt catches him! DOUBLE NORTHERN LIGHTS! The fans are thunderous as Matt huffs ‘n’ puffs. Matt drags Zach up, whips him to ropes, but Zach reverses. Matt slides out but Myron ducks, only for Matt to SUPERKICK in return!

Matt feints Zach to DDT! Matt kips up but Myron kicks low. Myron whips Matt to the corner but he goes up and over! Nick runs in, SHINING WIZARD, ENZIGIRI, FOREARM, and then a HIGH-FIVING DOUBLE BULLDOG! The fans fire up for The Bucks again as they go to the corners. The Bucks climb up, take aim, MACHO ELBOW SWANTON BOMB IN STEREO! Cover, TWO! Zach survives for The Rascalz and The Bucks are a bit surprised. Myron goes to a corner but Matt tags Nick. The Bucks each get a Rascal, whip, but The Rascalz reverse. The Bucks dosido and sunset flip, to then step through for STEREO SHARPSHOOTERS!

The fans cheer as The Bucks sit deep! Zach & Myron each reach out, fight forward, and Zach makes the ROPEBREAK! The Bucks let The Rascalz go, then regroup. Nick tags Matt, and Matt calls for it! SUPERKICKS to the legs! Then a SUPERKICK to Zach! Myron block s one to THRWO it at Matt! Myron then goes Matrix to dodge, kip up, and CUTTER! The fans fire up as Myron gets moving, but Matt SUPERKICKS him down! Zach dodges, handsprings, and JUMP KNEES! Then he runs up, jumps up, FLYING CUTTER! Myron runs to FLYING CUTTER Nick to the floor! The numbers may change but the mission stays the same: We want bodies, and we want gold!” Connors takes the mic to say, “This is a message to the entire tag team division. Y’all’re about to get screwed!” The fans boo but like it or not, these Dogs are off the leash! What will they do in order to become the top dogs of AEW?

The Divine Dominion speaks.

“Like the mythic deities of ancient Greece, the Divine stand high above all. Adorned in iridescent jewels and gold, we captivate and we dominate. Our beauty, exquisite. Our fury, unrivaled. Our power, everlasting. She is the Colossal Lena Kross. She is the Megasus, Megan Bayne. And we are the Divine Dominion.” Who dares step to their throne next?

My Thoughts:

A great Collision, though kinda hard to follow that great Dynamite from last night. A lot of these matches felt like filler, but because it’s AEW, they even make filler go above and beyond. Pac VS Lio was actually the first real display of this “Problem Child” persona that I really liked. Lio got to show more personality, and seeing Pac & Garcia be afraid of Lio really helped sell the character. Great win for Pac, though, and maybe he goes for the TNT title next. Brody, Mistico y Dorada of course won their match, but again, they made the squash match a fun match. Them mentioning Bandido and Supercard of Honor was nice, it means they care about ROH on some level.

Very good opening promo from Cope, but of course FTR had to show up. RPG Vice attacking again was redundant, but The Bucks making the save was a nice change. Makes me think we’re getting an 8 Man Tag, FTRPG Vice VS Cope, Cage & The Bucks, and that somehow leads to the tag title match for Double or Nothing. Great tag match from The Bucks VS The Rascalz, and even a good move for The Dogs to go after those teams. I wonder if The Dogs and even The Rascalz get in on the tag match. Five, maybe even six teams, all fighting for the titles, that’d be awesome stuff for Double or Nothing, and a great way to give The Bucks their historic fourth reign.

Kris & Shida had a very good tag match and of course they won, but I like Mina accusing Shida of being whodunnit. Shida is certainly being two-faced, but who knows if she’ll be chosen as the one who took out Toni Storm. Great Six Man Tag from Conglomeration VS Lethal Twist, and of course The Conglomeration won. Great Continental Championship Eliminator, and great showing for Nick Wayne in his return to Dynamite. I still think he needs more to do with the ROH World TV title, but hey, they could use this to say Nick won some respect from Moxley. The story still feels like Moxley and Ospreay will run it back at Double or Nothing.

And as I figured from last night, Thekla was gonna cheat to win and keep the title. It was a great main event, but there might be something bigger in store for Double or Nothing, like a Triple Threat against both Brawling Birds.

My Score: 8.8/10

PLAY BY PLAY

Renee Paquette is waiting in the parking lot.

She lets us know that AEW Management has been trying to let MJF know for the past three days that Darby Allin has demanded his AEW World Championship opportunity for tonight. A car pulls up, and MJF has arrived! Renee gets his attention, and brings up Darby’s win at AEW Dynasty. MJF stops her there, because he doesn’t get why we’re talking about Darby Allin, the guy he’s beaten three times, and once with a headlock takeover. No, what we’re gonna talk about is THE world champion, the most important champion in all of pro-wrestling today, the guy who has beaten the likes of Bandido, Brody King, Kevin Knight, Mike Bailey!

The man who has made sure that Hangman Adam Page can NEVER, EVER be AEW World Champion again, and the man who kicked out of a One Winged Angel like it was nothing! Honestly, a very ineffective move. A man who beat your boy, “Kenny BAH GAWD Omega,” fair and square in the middle of the ring! Nobody can stop #BigHebrew! But Darby has- Don Callis interrupts and he shakes MJF’s hand! What a match! He destroyed Kenny Omega! Just as Callis knew MJF would. Enjoy it, champ! MJF says Callis is a mench. Not just that, The Mench of the Cench (as in Century). Callis says sorry about the Andrade thing, though, but take care.

MJF asks what Callis means by that. Well, Darby beat Andrade. Wait, what? MJF thought Andrade won. No, didn’t MJF watch the match? NO, he was preparing for his own match! Well, Andrade… MJF stops Don there. He loves Don to death, this isn’t Don’s fault, it’s on his boy. However, now Callis owes MJF one. Now, this isn’t the favor, but Callis does need to tell Andrade on MJF’s behalf that he is NOT ever gonna be championship material because the man doesn’t get the job done when he needs to. MJF reiterates that he loves Don, and he says bye, Renee, he’s outta here. But then Renee shouts at MJF to just listen!

Darby Allin won his match at Dynasty, making him #1 contender, and he wants that match TONIGHT. Does he understand!? What?! Tonight?! When?! Renee chuckles as she says, right now. WHAT THE WHAT?!? MJF is furious, he just arrived! Does MJF even stand a chance? Or has Darby gotten one over on The Devil of AEW?

AEW World Championship: MJF VS Darby Allin!

MJF panics as he shouts, “NO! NO! NO! Cut the music! Cut the gaddamn music right now!!” The fans boo but MJF storms down to the ring. MJF says if the “little emo freak” thinks for one solitary second that MJF is defending his title in an impromptu that he just found out about three seconds ago, then Darby is as stupid as he looks! The fans boo but MJF tells them to shut up! Maybe the people are too braindead to understand how much money MJF has. If he doesn’t want something to happen, it won’t happen! MJF will get his lawyer, he’ll sue “that skank, Aubrey,” he’ll sue Darby, he’ll sue “that pervert, Justin Roberts!”

MJF will sue Tony Khan, sue AEW, sue Warner Brothers, and every single one of these freaks who decide to live in the dumpster fire that is Washington state! The fans chant “Ring The Bell!” MJF mockingly asks back, “Ring the bell? You wanna see the match right now?! Do you wanna see this match?! Too bad! My back hurts from wrestling close to an hour against Kenny Omega only three days ago. Speaking of legalities, I wonder how our company would look if they forced me to wrestle tonight with an injury. That’s not a good look. Darby, I’m gonna go get checked out by the trainers in the back, but frankly, I’m doing you a favor by not wrestling you.”

The fans boo more, MJF’s mic gets glitchy, so he trades with Justin Roberts. MJF says he is doing Darby a favor. Let’s talk the elephant in the room: Darby is very talented, a great underdog, the fans love him! They really do. But the reason they love you is because you’re like them. You’re good, but not great. Like the fans, you’re not championship material. Darby, with love and respect, and MJF does mean that, you’re not ready to be- Darby snatches the mic from MJF! Darby is worked up already as the fans cheer him on. “All it takes is one night to drop the wrestling world’s on its head! If I’m not ready now, I’ll never be ready!”

The fans cheer Darby on as he says, “I kill myself for this company. Monday, I hung posters all around this city. I taped posters all around the city for tonight’s show. I climbed Mount Everest and I hung that flag on top of the world! The scars, the blood, everything! I’m ready! I’ve been ready! My career started ten miles down the road, at the Buddy Wayne Academy. And I took a deep breath my first day of wrestling school, and I said I was either gonna make it as Darby Allin, or I’m gonna fail as Darby, but I’m not changing a single thing!” The fans cheer that, too! Darby says tonight, he climbed to the top of this sport, and he didn’t change a thing! RING THE BELL!

The fans are fired up again but MJF says first off, relax, we’re not doing that. But then BRYAN DANIELSON speaks up! The fans cheer as Bryan tells MJF and Darby that he just got a message right from Tony Khan. And Tony Khan actually agrees… with MJF… It is unfair for MJF to wrestle when he is unprepared. And Max, that is why Tony will give MJF plenty of time to prepare, because this match, this AEW World Championship match, will be in tonight’s MAIN EVENT! The fans cheer that! MJF is furious, because that’s still only 90 minutes! MJF protests, but the fans cheer “YES! YES! YES!” Bryan says if MJF refuses that match, he will be STRIPPED of the title!

MJF is furious, but Darby turns him around to say, “Tonight in the main event, I’m beating your ass with a headlock takeover!” Darby throws down the mic, having thrown down the gauntlet! Will everything come full circle for the Relentless One?

AEW shares footage from after Dynasty.

Tony Schiavone waited outside the trainer’s room and spoke on the amazing night and amazing main event. He has Kenny Omega here, and he says he knows it was a heartbreaking loss. How is Kenny doing? Kenny isn’t sure what to say, he has nothing. He is sorry about that. Schiavone says that’s alright, just take care of yourself. Doc Sampson helps Kenny walk through the door, and Will Ospreay is also getting checked out. Kenny says, “Look at us, Will.” Ospreay feeling okay? Not really. Welcome to the club. Things didn’t go their way tonight. Not one bit. Not how they pictured it. Kenny feels he let everyone down.

Ospreay gets that, but he wants Kenny to think about it. Ospreay was there in the Tokyo Dome back in 2017 when Omega lost to Okada. Omega doubted himself, but he bounced back and climbed up the mountain. Yeah, but that was almost 10 years ago. Omega isn’t sure how much time he has left. But Ospreay does have time. He has the heart of a wrestler. AEW, pro-wrestling, it’s all Ospreay from here on in. Omega believes Ospreay can take it back. Ospreay’s got this. Ospreay says they still have this.

Now, Ospreay is dejected, sad, crying for about the last 40 minutes. But his dream and his ambition are still being AEW World Champion. He hopes Kenny hasn’t given up that dream, either. Omega can do it. Ospreay stands up, says he always has Kenny’s back, and gives him a pat and kiss on the head. Ospreay says Omega’s his hero. They shake on it and Ospreay heads out. Omega thinks on that. Omega is Ospreay’s hero, huh? Then maybe he can’t give up. The Best Bout Machine has a lot to think about, but will he rebuild and redeem himself just as before? Or will it take a bit more than determination to reclaim that former glory?

Tommaso Ciampa VS Dezmond Xavier!

The Psycho Killer wanted “Silvey” back so badly, but despite starting the Casino Gauntlet, he did not win the Casino Gauntlet. Will he fight his way back to a new opportunity? Or will Dez light it up and look for his own golden ticket?

The bell rings and the two circle. They feel tings out, but Ciampa BOOTS and ROCKS and then stomps away at the ropes! The ref counts, Ciampa stops at 4, and the fans fire up. Ciampa BOOT WASHES Dez outta the ring! Then Ciampa whips Dez hard into barriers! Ciampa shoves Dez back inside but the ref has him hold on. The ref checks Dez, Ciampa drags Dez up to wrench and whip. Dez rolls to stop, then he sidesteps Ciampa to run, roll, and UP KICK! Dez dodges again, waistlocks, but Ciampa ELBOWS free! Ciampa then TOSSES Dez out, and KNEES him off the apron! The fans rally while Ciampa shouts, “No more games! I want ALL the gold!”

Ciampa goes out after Dez, then whips him at the steps. Dez handsprings up and over! The fans fire up while Ciampa snarls. Both men slide into the ring, Dez bobs ‘n’ weaves to fire off fast hands! Dez body blows, clubs a leg, then UPPERCUTS! Dez runs but Ciampa ELBOWS him again! Ciampa whips, Dez handsprings, but Ciampa dodges with a slide. Ciampa runs up, Dez dodges, then DROPKICKS on return! The fans fire up as Ciampa bails out, and Dez builds speed! Dez slides to a stop as Ciampa moves aside. The fans are torn while Ciampa wags his finger, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Ciampa checks his teeth, it seems they’re all there, so Ciampa takes his time goes back to the ring. Ciampa rolls in, only to roll back out, and he grabs a mic to talk trash on Seattle. Ciampa then storms up to the apron, but he just baits Dez into chasing him around the outside. Dez slides in but Ciampa stomps away! The ref counts, Ciampa stops to mock Seattle again, and he hoists Dez up to SLINGSHOT him off the ropes! Dez flops down, but Ciampa climbs up the corner just to tell Seattle, “SUCK IT!” Ciampa drags Dez up, whips him to ropes, then kitchen sink knees! Ciampa flexes as he soaks up heat, then he goes to Dez.

Ciampa drags Dez by the legs, stomps him in the stomach, then stomps him again. Ciampa has the legs, he YANKS Dez from the ropes, then he paces around Dez. Ciampa KNEES Dez in the back, drags him around again, but Dez fires body shots and haymakers! Dez ROCKS Ciampa, whips him to ropes, but Ciampa reverses. Dez ducks ‘n’ dodges, but Ciampa ducks under the crossbody! Dez crash lands, and Ciampa taunts the fans again. Dez SMACKS Ciampa, but Ciampa snapmares Dez into a chinlock. Dynamite returns to single picture as Dez endures. The fans rally as Dez CLUBS at Ciampa from below.

Ciampa pushes Dez down, grinds them down and flexes at the same time. Dez still endures, even as Ciampa puts on the pressure. Dez fights up, up, and fires body shots! The fans rally but Ciampa shoves Dez. Dez ducks ‘n’ dodges to CLOBBER Ciampa again and again! Dez fires fast hands, then a CUTTER! The fans fire up as Ciampa goes to a corner. Dez kips up, runs corner to corner, and he UPPERCUTS! Then SUPERKICKS! Then ENZIGIRIS! Ciampa staggers, Dez goes up, TORNADO DDT! Cover, TWO! Ciampa is tougher than that, but Dez drags him around to the drop zone. The fans rally as Dez goes right up top!

Dez aims, and 450- NO, he has to roll through as Ciampa moves! Ciampa ROLLING ELBOWS! Then he reels Dez in, but Dez RANAS! Cover, TWO!! Ciampa escapes, and he runs up, but Dez DUMPS him out! Dez builds speed to DIVE! Down goes Ciampa at the ramp! The fans cheer while Dez hurries to put Ciampa back in. Dez goes back up, FROG SPALSH! Cover, TWO! Ciampa survives again but the fans fire up for Dez! Dez tells Ciampa to get up, then he runs, but Ciampa reels him in! Ciampa back suplexes, but Dez lands out! Dez BOOTS Ciampa, SUPERKICKS, then goes up, up, and leaps, into a JUMP KNEE! The fans fire up while Dez goes down!

Ciampa drags Dez up, reels him in, and lifts for PROJECT CIAMPA! Ciampa isn’t done with Dez, though, as he drags Dez back up. Ciampa takes aim, kneepads down, PSYCHO KNEE!! Cover, Ciampa wins!

Winner: Tommaso Ciampa, by pinfall

Another singles victory for Ciampa, but he demands the mic. “This was the example. Why? Because I’m sick of waiting. I want it all. I came to AEW because this is where the best wrestle, and I want all of the gold. And if I’m not making myself clear… Darby Allin, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, whoever wins… the Psycho Killer is coming for the AEW World title!” Then he PUNTS Dez outta the ring! His shadow knows his story, but will Ciampa’s future be the top of the mountain?

BREAKING NEWS for Collision!

On a special Thursday night broadcast of Spring Breakthru Night 2, we will see the rest of the Rascalz in action as Zachary Wentz & Myron Reed take on The Young Bucks! Will Matt & Nick Jackson keep the momentum going from Dynasty? Or will things still be lit in Seattle? Then Jon Moxley looks to keep his own Dynasty momentum going as he faces the ROH World Television Champion, Nick Wayne! Will The Prodigy live up to that nickname when he earns a shot at the AEW Continental Champion? Or will The Maniac just keep running roughshod through the roster?

Plus, after their successful outing as a team, tense as it was, Kris Statlander & Hikaru Shida are going to do it again! Will #Krishida start a win streak? Or will the cracks in the foundation get worse?

FTR is here!

Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood are still the AEW World Tag Team Champions as they and Stokely Hathaway make their way to the ring. #BigStoke is all smiles as he hands the mic to Dax. Dax says he’s read a lot of the chatter online, he’s heard all the complaints, and it seems to him the fact that FTR has won again makes all of the fans angry. Hey, he gets it, he understands why they’re angry. They love an underdog story! They love an underdog story because they think they can relate to it, they feel they can relate to the underdog. But the fact is, they’re not underdogs, they’re just losers! No, seriously, they’re just losers! Fat losers!

And speaking of losers, FTR gave Adam Copeland & Christian Cage a brush with relevancy, and those two couldn’t get the job done. So Cope, Cage, Dax is talking to you: As long as FTR are the AEW World Tag Team Champions, C&C will never get a shot at these again! Stoke says he has been told that supposedly, all the fans are educated people? The fans chant, “NO HOES!” Stokely says he don’t need hoes, he has the AEW World Tag Team Champions. But before he was so rudely interrupted, he has been told that “the sickos” know everything about everything! They know about pro-wrestling, about sports, about politics, about history, religion!

So then clearly, they all know the story of David VS Goliath! And the two men that Stoke has in this ring, this is Goliath! And he is here to tell us, that there are a lot of Milli Vanillis, a lot of wannabe Davids! From #Brodido to the Bang Bang Gang to even Matt & Nick Jackson and Cope & Cage! Stoke is here to say that every time David steps up to Goliath, he gets b*tched out. Stoke feels there is no more competition here in AEW! Tony Khan will surely do what he does best and go to CMLL or NJPW, sign every CHUD he can to put in the division, but the results will be the same: they all will fall to the giants known as F T R!

Cash says beautifully said, Big Stoke. Now, if the fans would do FTR a favor and please, he’s asking nicely, let them pay homage to the careers of Cope & Cage. Now that FTR has put an end to them, they would like to have a moment of silence. Please, if you would… The fans boo instead. Cash says please, a moment of silence. And then it’s one second. Now, for those of you in attendance with the benefit of flash photography, FTR won’t give you five seconds, they’re feeling generous. They will give you a ten second pose! The fans boo but FTR does their best “Barry Allen over Oliver Queen’s grave” style pose.

The ten seconds are up and Cash thanks Seattle, they’ve been great, have a great night. The fans boo more, but FTR is moving on with the belts. But is there really no team in AEW that can take these #TopGuysOut?

AEW TNT Championship: Kevin Knight VS Claudio Castagnoli!

The Jet flew high as ever to win this title in the Casino Gauntlet, but he’s already turning around into defense mode! Will Knight truly be 2Fly2Stop? Or will the Death Riders add yet another piece of gold to the collection?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see if Knight survives the night!

The bell rings and Claudio runs up! Knight sunset flips over him, TWO! Claudio tries again but Knight catches him to a backslide! TWO, and Claudio headlocks. Knight powers up and out, drops down then hurdles over, and he DROPKICKS Claudio down! The fans fire up as Knight then LARIATS Claudio up and out! The fans stay fired up as Knight builds speed, but Claudio slides into the ring for a LARIAT! Knight is down but Claudio stomps away! The fans boo but Claudio runs to ELBOW DROP! The fans boo but Claudio looms over Knight. Claudio drags Knight up, bumps him off buckles, but the fans rally for Knight.

Claudio CHOPS Knight, but Knight fires back with forearms and CHOPS! The fans rally, but Claudio scoops and SLAMS Knight right down! Claudio snarls, then he stomps Knight’s fingers! Claudio clamps on with a neck wrench but Knight endures. The fans rally as Knight pries at the hold. Claudio puts on the pressure but the fans rally up. Knight fights to his feet, fires body shots, but Claudio KNEES low! Claudio back suplexes but Knight lands out! Knight runs up, jumps up, springboard and FLYING ARM-DRAG! The fans fire up, Claudio runs up, but Knight TOSSES him up and out! The fans fire up as Knight aims, but Claudio drags him outside!

Claudio swings, misses, and Knight goes up the apron to LEAPING LARIAT! The fans fire up with Knight and he high-fives the front row, but Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Knight brings Claudio up and into the ring, then pushes him to a cover, TWO! Claudio is tougher than that but Knight nods as he goes to the corner. Knight climbs up, but Claudio trips him up! Claudio ROCKS Knight, then drags Knight up for a deadlift suplex! Claudio huffs ‘n’ puffs before he covers, TWO! Knight proves he’s tougher than that, but Claudio clamps on with a top wristlock! Knight endures as Claudio twists his arm! Knight reaches out, shifts around, and stands up to fire forearms! Claudio scoops to SLAM again! Claudio then runs the ropes for another ELBOW DROP! Cover, TWO!

Claudio argues the count but the count was fair. Claudio looms over Knight, then he clamps on the same top wristlock. Knight endures again, even clasping hands to fight the pressure. Spring Breakthru returns to single picture as Knight fights to his feet. Knight fires body shots, then forearms! Knight scoops but Claudio fights the lift! Claudio scoops to SLAM again! Claudio runs, but Knight avoids the elbow drop! Ghost pin, TWO! Knight hurries to Oklahoma Roll, TWO! Claudio UPPERCUTS Knight to the corner, then storms up for a whip. Knight goes up and over, slides and LEAPING LARIATS! Both men are down and the fans fire up!

Knight rises, he UPPERCUTS Claudio again and again, but Claudio takes a swing! Knight ducks once, but Claudio ROCKS him on the return! Claudio UPPERCUTS, runs, but Knight scoops! Knight SLAMS Claudio after all! The fans fire up for that feat of strength! Then Knight hits a UFO SPLASH! Cover, TWO! Claudio is still tougher than that, but Knight hurries after him. Claudio ROCKS Knight from the apron, goes up the corner, but Knight DROPKICKS him down! Knight then FLIES and wipes Claudio out at the ramp! The fans fire up again as Knight stands tall! Knight drags Claudio up and into the ring, then pounds the apron.

The fans know “This is Awesome!” as Knight runs in at Claudio. Claudio BOOTS Knight, then goes up, but Knight goes to the UPPER- NO! Claudio stops the rana, though he has to step off the corner. But then Claudio powers up to haul Knight back up the corner! The fans go nuts for the SUPER GOTCH NEUTRAL- NO, Knight sits up with core strength! Knight fires off fists, but Claudio throws him away! FLYING UPPERCUT!! Cover, TWO!! Knight survives and the fans are thunderous! Claudio seethes, but he drags Knight up, only for Knight to slip through! Knight kicks, Claudio blocks, and Claudio FLIPS Knight to the apron!

Knight ROCKS Claudio, springboards in, but into Claudio’s arms for a BACKBREAKER! Cover, TWO!! Knight survives again but Claudio drags him right up. Now Claudio has the Gotch hold, but Knight BACKDROPS! Claudio sunset flips it to have the legs for a GIANT SWING! The fans cheer as Knight goes around and around for FIVE, then Claudio steps through. Knight flails to fight it, so Claudio CATAPULTS Knight at the corner! Knight goes right up top! FLYING LARIAT! Knight hurries to climb again, and he takes aim for the MOTHERSHIP SPLASH!! Cover, KNIGHT WINS!

Winner: Kevin Knight, by pinfall (still AEW TNT Champion)

The Jet may have felt like an underdog champion, but he proved he is a rightful champion! Knight gets a mic to say, “Yo, yo, yo! Everett, Washington! Y’all miss me?” The fans cheer for that! Knight says shoutout to Claudio, by far one of the hardest hitting dudes, one of the strongest opponents Knight’s ever had. Give it up for Claudio. The fans do cheer Claudio, and Knight says he won’t let that stop him. The Jet is looking good, feeling even better, as your NEW TNT Champion, baby! The fans cheer for that, too. Knight says before he won this, he did lose the trios titles. Speedball, Knight knows you’re beating yourself up over that, but don’t take it personally, he doesn’t blame you.

And as they say, when one door closes, another one opens. Sometimes you gotta slow down to speed back up, and The Jet is riding high, baby! The fans cheer again, and Knight says tonight, there’s a big one with Darby Allin VS MJF for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship! And well, Knight will keep a close eye on that one, because #Jet2Belts sounds #2Fly! Knight is ready to add even more golden luggage to the flight log, but will his flight plan be headed for The Scumbag from Long Island? Or will it be the hometown hero in Darby Allin?

Renee Paquette is in the ring.

Spring Breakthru returns as she says to welcome the legendary Chris Jericho! The fans cheer as The Demo God, The Ayatollah of Rock ‘n’ Rolla, The Nueve, Y2J makes his entrance. Jericho gets pyro while he struts down the ramp and the fans sing along with Judas. Jericho joins Renee in the ring, and Renee says it is so good to see him, and the fans are sure happy to see him. Jericho fires the fans up more and they chant his name. Renee says maybe not everyone is happy, since last week, Ricochet came out here and said Jericho would be rusty. Clearly, from the match on Sunday, that is not the case. How did Jericho feel his first match back?

Jericho know show he feels being back in Everett, Washington tonight. But he feels so happy to be back in AEW. It was great to be back in the ring at Dynasty. One of his favorite matches in a long time, in front of a great crowd. Even though Jericho lost, he didn’t loss because of rust or overexcitement, it was because he was outnumbered 3v1. The fans agree with that. Jericho still gives credit where credit is due, congrats to Ricochet for probably the biggest win- Oh, well, Ricochet makes his way out here, The Gates of Agony by his side. Ricochet has a mic to tell the fans to sit down, shut up, and listen! The fans chant “BALD!” instead.

Ricochet then tells Jericho that he meant every single word when he said he respects Jericho. And after that valiant performance at Dynasty, Ricochet respects Jericho even more. But Jericho didn’t listen to Ricochet at all, did he? No, he signed his contract and got himself hurt, just like Ricochet said Jericho would. And on top of that, Ricochet had to do it! The opportunity was in the palm of his hand, so he had to take Jericho out with his own move, the Lionsault! Or what will be renamed “The Ricosault.” The fans boo that idea, but Ricochet says he gives Jericho credit, Jericho didn’t completely embarrass himself. He did pretty good, but just not good enough to overcome the rise of Ricochet.

The fans tell Ricochet to STFU, but he says he’ll be out here all night if he wants! But as he was saying, Jericho wasn’t good enough to beat Ricochet, so maybe do yourself a favor and quite now while you’re ahead. Well, unless… Jericho is the king of reinvention. The Lionheart, the guy in the suits with the big words, the Demo God, the light up jacket, we’ve seen it all! So here’s an idea: Jericho becomes the guy who gets his ass beat by The Demand every single week he shows up! The fans boo again, but Ricochet says the fans must like that idea. Jericho can stick around after all and have the best run of his entire career!

Jericho asks Renee to please step aside. Jericho says first off, “The Ricosault?” That’s brutally bad. Secondly, bald. The fans chant “BALD!” But Jericho appreciates Ricochet coming out here, bald, and giving him some insight, because Jericho really respects Ricochet’s opinions, bald. The fans cheer and laugh, but Jericho continues by saying he knows what the game is here, weird shaped head. Ricochet is on stage with his goons, dumb and ugly, and they’re gonna back Ricochet up no matter what it is he says or does, bald. So here’s a proposition for you, bald. Why not leave his goons, dumb and ugly, on the stage, come on down here, bald, and face Jericho 1v1 right here in Everett, BALD!?

The fans fire up for that idea, but Ricochet says don’t think he doesn’t see what Jericho’s doing! He knows what Ricochet’s saying! Jericho doesn’t get to call Ricochet bald, and he’s not afraid to face Jericho 1v1! Well, Jericho feels Ricochet is too scared, and bald, to come down here. Ricochet says fine! Liona, Kaun, stay up here, and no matter what, let Ricochet handle this 1v1. Do not help him no matter what, understand? Ricochet drops the mic, takes off the jacket and the vest, and so does Jericho. Ricochet rushes the ring, Jericho dodges him, and then HIP TOSS! Jericho runs, and he LARIATS! The fans fire up but Ricochet waves to his guys!

Jericho stomps away, GOA run in, but Jericho fires hands! That’s still 3v1, so much for Ricochet honoring the deal! The fans boo, but The Demand let off, only for Jericho to go after them again! Jericho gets mugged again, then they CLOSE THE GATES on Jericho! The fans boo harder but then Ricochet gets an idea. LIONSAULT! The fans boo again, but now The Demand stand tall. Will Jericho have to go back to the drawing board to gameplan a way to defeat Bald, Dumb & Ugly?

AEW shares more footage from after Dynasty.

Renee Paquette found Don Callis & Kazuchika Okada to ask them what happened out there against The Young Bucks. Callis says what happened was that there was a 2v1 situation, two Bucks, one Rainmaker! But then Callis spots Takeshita and confronts him. What happened? The Alpha says that was an accident. Oops. He’s so sorry~! Takeshita mocks Okada, Okada throws his armbands at Takeshita, then insults him in Japanese. Callis says it’s okay, they’re not done, they’ll work this out. But is Callis the one who needs to work out that things aren’t okay in the Don Callis Family?

Will Ospreay VS Hechicero!

The Aerial Assassin told Kenny Omega to keep his chin up, and surely Ospreay is taking his own advice. Will the #BillyGOAT get back on the horse by taking down the CMLL World Heavyweight Champion? Or will the Alchemist of Lucha simply add insult to injury?

But wait, Don Callis makes his entrance. Callis says he has something important to say. And in his horrible Espanol, Callis says, “Todos los personas del Everett, Washington that is muy, muy stupido, from the great country of Mexico…! Es un cabra muy super intendoooooooo~! YO! SOY! HE-CHI-CEROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~!” So it’s been how long and no one has told Don he gets that wrong? That aside, Hechi makes his entrance with new music and more pyro. The bell rings and the fans fire up for Ospreay. Ospreay and Hechi feel things out, tie up, and Hechi puts Ospreay on the ropes. The fans sing “OSPREAY~ OSPREAY OSPREAY OSPREAY~!” while the ref counts.

Hechi and Ospreay go along the ropes, but the ref counts again. Hechi grabs a leg, sweeps the other, then keeps on Ospreay with a toehold. Ospreay grabs at Hechi but Hechi knuckle locks that hand. Hechi ties Ospreay up in a modified figure four, but Ospreay fights up into headscissors! Ospreay hits a twisting rana and has Hechi down! But wait, MARK DAVIS LARIATS OSPREAY DOWN! Plan B is more like Plan D, as in Dunkzilla! COUNT TO PAIN!! The piledriver takes Ospreay down! Will #DangerousDavis prove to be hazardous for Ospreay’s health?

Renee Paquette is on stage.

She says this has been an incredible night for Spring Breakthru, but then Thekla immediately interrupts from… somewhere… with a whiny, mocking, “No~, niet~, nein~!” The Toxic Spider creeps in from up in the crowd, and she tells Renee that Renee looks good tonight. But not a single person here paid to see Renee flap her lips, when the Toxic Spider is in the house! The fans do cheer Thekla, and she says she just wanted to remind everybody that she marched into Dynasty THE AEW Women’s World Champion, and she defeated the great Jamie Hayter. “I beat her ass good!” And then she walked out still the champion.

Y’all better get used to that! Because this industry is filled with nothing but dumb b*tches! But then Alex Windsor storms out on stage to interrupt Thekla! “Did you really think I was gonna let you say that you actually beat Jamie Hayter? No, no, no, and I’m certainly not gonna let you waltz around tonight when I should beat the piss out of you right bloody now!” Thekla says wow, wow, wow. She says the word “dumb b*tch,” and one magically appears! Why is Alex so angry? Don’t blame Thekla that Alex’s best friend lost, or that her husband lost for that matter. Alex tells Thekla that she’s forgetting she’s not the only champion.

You are looking at THE NJPW Strong Women’s Champion, Alex WINDSAAA~! The fans cheer, and Alex asks if Thekla wonders what they say about her in Japan. What do they say in Japan? They don’t call Thekla a champ, they call her the girl who was stupid enough to get herself fired! Oi, oi, oi, mate, chill yer balls, oi! Thekla didn’t get fired. Well, okay, she did. BUT…! Only because they couldn’t handle her, just like no one in AEW can handle Thekla! Oh, nobody can handle Thekla? Okay, alright. Windsor gets in the ring, and says she’ll handle Thekla right now! How about NO~! Alexa says fine, champ, have it your way.

How about Thekla puts that lovely title on the line, and Alex will meet Thekla back here on Collision? Alright, Thekla likes that. But then The Sisters of Sin rush in from outta nowhere! But Alex HEADBUTTS Skye and LARIATS Julia! So much for that sneak attack! Thekla still smiles, then hurries off before Alex can rush the crowd! Will Thekla take out both Brawling Birds in the same week? Or will Alex make herself a double champion?

The Death Riders speak.

Jon Moxley says he actually likes surprises. Someone like Will Ospreay, who he’s known and studied for a long time, doesn’t surprise him. Marina Shafir walks in and Moxley asks how Ospreay looked. Rough? Green around the gills? Oh, yeah. Maybe Moxley has a talent for seeing exactly how all the dominos fall, maybe he just gets lucky, or maybe he just pays more attention. But Ospreay showed Moxley his cards, they were on the table, so don’t get mad at Moxley. Contrary to popular belief, Moxley doesn’t take pleasure in the suffering of others. Though, there can be beauty in it. Moxley prefers life over death, light over darkness, but you don’t get one without the other.

What was that kid’s name again? Nick Wayne. Right, tomorrow is the biggest night of Nick’s life. Continental Championship Eliminator on Collision. Moxley doesn’t know much about Nick, so please, please, surprise him. But this is Continental Rules, adult stuff, for grownups. So please, leave Mommy in the back. Will The Prodigy prove he can man up and do things on his own? Or will Moxley just add him to the long list of names of those who can’t keep up?

Kamille runs up but Willow dodges! Willow LARIATS again and again in the corner! The fans count, Willow goes to nine, then short arm- NO, Kamille BOOTS the bad arm again! Kamille snarls as she wrenches the arm and ELBOW BREAKERS! Then a wrench and YANK! Kamille clamps on and CLUBS away on the bad arm! Willow fires body shots, but Kamille YANKS the arm again! Willow goes back to a corner, but Kamille runs up, only for Willow to BOOT her! Kamille snarls, runs up again, but Willow puts her on the apron. Kamille blocks a shot to HOTSHOT the arm! Willow staggers away, Kamille storms up, but Willow CHOPS! CHOPS! CHOPS!

Willow CHOPS in the corner, then fires up with the fans. Willow whips but Kamille blocks it! The bad arm jams, and Kamille WRINGS it out! The fans boo but Kamille soaks it up, and she clamps onto the arm as Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Kamille drops KNEE after KNEE on the arm, then pushes Willow to a cover, TWO! Willow toughs it out but Kamille clamps onto the arm again. Kamille whips Willow into the corner, then wraps the arm around the ropes. The ref counts while Willow suffers, but Kamille stops at 4. Kamille stalks Willow, stands her up, but Willow fires body shots. Kamille CLUBS Willow down, then drags her out to the apron. Kamille SLAMS the bad arm off the apron, then she soaks up the heat. Kamille mocks Willow’s bad arm, then goes back to the ring. Kamille clamps onto the arm but Willow fires body shots. Kamille pushes Willow down to Oklahoma Roll, TWO!

Kamille storms back up, but Willow cradles Kamille! TWO, and both women stand. Kamille wrenches the arm for the ARMBAR DDT! Willow writhes but Kamille covers, TWO! Kamille looms over Willow, but Willow kicks from below. Kamille clamps onto the arm again, and with a top wristlock! Willow endures, fights up, and fights around, to then fire body shots! Kamille CLUBS the bad arm again, then CLUBS Willow back down!

Spring Breakthru returns to single picture as Willow whips Kamille away. Kamille goes up, out, and slides under to roll willow up. But Willow avoids the boot to LARIAT! Willow runs to LARIAT again! Willow runs but Kamille LARIATS! Willow rebounds to LARIAT Kamille down! Kamille hurries to her feet while the fans cheer, but Willow dodges Kamille to POUNCE! PERIOD! Willow shakes the bad arm, drags Kamille back up, and reels her in!

Willow writhes but Kamille keeps after her!

Kamille scoops Willow, but Willow slips free! Willow shoves Kamille into buckles, backslides her, WILLOW WINS!!

Winner: Willow Nightingale, by pinfall (still AEW TBS Champion)

Another match, another night where Willow snatches victory from the jaws of defeat! Another comeback killed, and we cut backstage to see Kris Statlander & Hikaru Shida applauding. Shida congratulates their great friend on another great victory. Doesn’t Stat agree? Shida interrupts Kris before she can even start, going on in Japanese, then goes back to English to say that last Saturday, Shida & Stat made a great team! Two AEW Originals! Kris keeps wanting to talk but Shida seems to compliment herself in Japanese. Shida says they will keep it going on Collision tomorrow night! She can’t wait! So, see you there, Kris!

Shida leaves before Kris can say anything, but will actions speak louder than words when The Galaxy’s Greatest & The Shining Samurai step back into the ring?

Backstage interview with Darby Allin.

Renee walks ‘n’ talks with the #1 contender, and says this is it: AEW World Championship. The stakes don’t get higher than this. Any last words before he goes out there? Darby wants to say something, but STING is there to see him off! “You ready?” Darby nods and says, “You got anything for me?” Sting says no, Darby already knows what to do, he just has to get out there and do it. Darby nods and fist bumps Sting. It’s showtime. No, not showtime, it’s YOUR TIME, Darby! Now, go take it. The Icon seeds Darby off, are we about to have a Relentless AEW World Champion?

AEW World Championship: MJF VS Darby Allin!

Spring Breakthru returns from one last commercial break, and it IS time! The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and ready or not, Dynamite is about to end with an instant classic!

The bell rings and the fans fire up for Darby as he stares down with MJF. Darby rises slowly while MJF is already moving with some anxious energy. The fans chant, “F him up, Darby, F him up!” Darby and MJF circle, but then MJF says timeout! The fans boo, there’s no timeouts in this kind of match! The fans boo as MJF still uses the diamond ring as an advantage! MJF then headlocks, and he calls the takeover. But Darby SHOVES MJF at Aubrey!

Aubrey shields herself in the ropes, but then Darby LOW BLOWS MJF!! The fans go nuts as MJF tastes karma, and then he gets a SCORPION DEATH DROP!! Darby goes up top, for a COFFIN DROP!! Then another COFFIN DROP!! The fans are thunderous and Darby is all fired up! Darby makes sure MJF is in place for a THIRD COFFIN DROP!! MJF scrambles around but Darby puts him in another drop zone! A FOURTH COFFIN DROP!! Seattle is erupting as Darby hits the headlock takeover! Cover, DARBY WINS!!!

Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (NEW AEW World Champion)

Seattle EXPLODES with celebration! Because yes, Darby didn’t just win, he didn’t just win with a headlock takeover, he won to become THE AEW World Champion!! The locker room hurries out here to celebrate, from The Conglomeration to The Rascalz to The Outrunners, Brodido, JetSpeed, and The Young Bucks! Confetti flies as the pyro goes off on stage! Darby stands tall in his hometown, family and friends here to see it with their own eyes! And of course, IT’S STIIIING~! Sting howls in celebration for Darby and the fans join in! The blood, the glass, the fire, the climb, not just up Mount Everest but in AEW, it was ALL worth it! Will AEW be all in on Darby Allin?

My Thoughts:

An awesome Dynamite to not just be Spring Breakthru but to follow Dynasty. I loved how they played this with MJF and Darby Allin. MJF didn’t pay attention to anything, not even texts and calls form AEW, the entire time he was celebrating his win over Omega, so of course Darby’s challenge caught him off-guard. Now granted, I thought MJF VS Darby was going to be the main event from the start, but Bryan Danielson getting to give that news was a nice way to bring him into this. I know AEW doesn’t like to copy WWE, but there should be a GM to make these decisions. That said, I also love how they played the main event. The takeover as the pinfall was perfect, given the history between Darby and MJF, and what a great moment for Darby to celebrate with all the Faces, Sting included.

Great match from Ciampa VS Dez, and Ciampa wanting right at the top works just fine for him. Ciampa never got to be top champ on WWE main roster, or even compete for it, but he’ll make a great AEW main eventer. Great TNT Championship match from Knight VS Claudio, great win for Knight, and maybe not surprisingly, he again throws his hat into the world title picture. I feel like challengers for the TNT title should be keeping him busy instead, but maybe Ciampa VS Knight establishes a clear contender going into Double or Nothing. Great TBS Championship match from Willow VS Kamille, and Willow getting another win via backslide is good story. Her arm is bad, Kamille is tough, a quick pin teases they could do this again for Double or Nothing.

Very good promo from Kris & Shida right after the TBS title, even with it being Shida talking nonstop and Kris left uncertain about the team-up. They’ll surely win their match on Collision but I feel like the team is already going to fall apart and set up a match that sends one of them after a title. Thekla and Windsor had a very good promo, and setting up a Women’s World Championship match is great stuff. I would think Thekla cheats another win, or at least tries. Jamie Hayter could back Windsor up, only for the Sisters of Sin to complicate things. Not sure what the title match for Double or Nothing is going to be, though…

Great promo from Omega and Ospreay, great match from Ospreay VS Hechicero. It was a little scary when Doc was checking Ospreay’s neck, but maybe that was just them playing up the injury for story. And with Don Callis Family picking on Ospreay again, I wonder if Omega backs Ospreay up and they have another team-up, but against Don Callis Family. Though, that feels like rehashing old material when you think about it. Moxley had a good promo, and pretty clear he’ll beat Nick Wayne, but there might be more with Death Riders and Ospreay. I wonder if there’s a possibility of a Triple Threat Tag, Omega & Ospreay VS Moxley & Claudio VS Mark Davis & Hechicero, just so all stories can be told at once.

And very good stuff with Jericho and The Demand. Another hilarious and brilliant promo from Jericho, but of course he gets beat up 3v1. Again, Jericho either gets another faction going, reunites an old one, or at least has a team-up with someone who also dislikes The Demand. But in the end, we know this will result in Ricochet VS Jericho 1v1 again, Jericho gets his win back, and that compels a tiebreaker. Not exactly the Jericho Vortex but it’s not not the Jericho Vortex.

My Score: 9/10
