Dustin Rhodes VS Malakai Black!
Naturally, the Natural wants revenge for what happened to his brother, Cody, as well as Arn Anderson, Brock Anderson and Lee Johnson. However, when seeking revenge, you dig two graves: one for your enemy, and one for yourself. Will one or both of those proverbial graves be filled tonight? Or will Malakai simply give Dustin two coins to pay the toll at the River Styx?

Dustin kept true to his morals, but so did Malakai. It’s just that Malakai has immorals! Dustin is bleeding from the mouth and a glassy look in the eyes, has the Nightmare Family fallen?
The Lucha Brothers speak.
Rey Fenix says, “Finally! The best tag team in the universe are the NEW AEW World Tag Team Champions!” Penta says in Spanish and Alex Abrahantes translates, “These championships cost us blood, sweat and tears. Anyone out there willing to suffer is welcome to try and take these from us.” Will any team in AEW find the courage to take on #CeroMiedo?
AEW hears from both Eddie Kingston and Miro.
“All Out. Biggest pay-per-view in history. Not just for AEW, but for all of professional wrestling. Me and you, Miro, we kicked it off, we started it off, and we went at it like two men are supposed to go at it. But then you go and use a low blow.” Anyone who knows anything about God knows that he has no favorites. That when it rains, it pours on the just and the unjust all the same. But the AEW TNT Champion recounts how Kingston said they’d walk through hell. Kingston can’t hurt a man as hot as Miro. Miro had to ice off his balls, too, Kingston. But he will offer Kingston’s broken bones to his bride and his soul to God. “This is the word of the Redeemer.” Are things far from done between the Mad King and the Best Man?
CM Punk is here!
The Best in the World was victorious in his return to action, and though this isn’t Chicago, Cincinnati is just as fired up to see him. And Punk is fired up to see Cincinnati! “We’re gonna get right to it, I’m gonna step all over your chanting. I wanna thank Darby Allin, and I wanna thank Sting, and I wanna thank all of you.” Punk comes out and won’t lie, he didn’t know if he had what it takes. But it’s like riding a violent bicycle! He’s back on the bike and wants to get in this ring again. Fans chant, “You Still Got It!” and he thanks them.
But guess what else we got? Karl Gotch trained Minoru Suzuki is in one hell of a main event that Punk as a wrestling fan will watch, “a local Cincinnati Maniac,” Jon Moxley take Suzuki on! And Punk also wants to say that Linda, who raised young Brian Pillman, is legitimately an angel. Fans cheer for Linda and Linda thanks them all for that. Punk says they’re “all about giving people their flowers here,” and notes that he saw Dark Side of the Ring and wants her and everyone to know that she is an angel and that we all appreciate her. Now who saw the PPV?! Fans all here cheer that. “Ruby Soho!” Fans of course cheer. “Adam Cole.” BAYBAY! “Bryan Danielson.” Fans all cheer “YES! YES! YES!”
Punk says the first person he texted as soon as he was out of the ring was his wife, April, and she said, “Baby, what’s next?” And Punk said, “I dunno.” Maybe Punk will leave it up to the fans. What is next for Punk? Fans seem to chant any number of names, but it sounds mostly like Moxley or Brian Pillman. But then Taz speaks up from commentary? Taz wants Punk to hear him out but fans boo. Punk says out of respect, they should let Taz speak. But also, don’t ever interrupt again! Taz says he is trying to be a gentleman, but Punk wants to be a tough guy so here’s the tough version. Taz has known Punk a real long time, and is tired of the BS love fest Punk’s putting on!
So while Punk was impressive in his one match with Darby, Taz wants to tell him this: “Don’t you ever mention out of your mouth any members of Team Taz that you wanna face. Don’t you ever do that.” Nobody was going on about Team Taz. Punk was just asking who fans wanted to see Punk face and the fans were saying Moxley and Pillman. But speaking of Team Taz, here comes Will Hobbs and Hook. Taz says Punk mentioned Team Taz on social media, interviews, radio spots, cuz Punk’s ass is everywhere right now! But don’t do it, Punk.
Punk laughs a bit and says since they have known each other and respects him, “Send Starks! Send Hook! Send me HOBBS!” And check it, all FOUR of them, “beat me if you can! Survive if I let you!” Punk just used Taz’s words against him, but will he have to watch out for the moment Team Taz takes him up on those words?
Santana and Ortiz speak.
Santana starts, “FTR, for the last few months, we sparked a new beginning within Santana and Ortiz. And after we beat them last week, now we’ve shifted our focus to the rest of this division. We climbing those ranks, we coming for that top spot, because everybody knows where we belong.” Ortiz says THEY’RE the best! So prove them wrong, boys!
Backstage interview with Ruby Soho.
Tony Schiavone says Soho won as the Joker in the Women’s Casino Battle Royal and has her title shot. Ruby gave an open challenge heading into tonight, and Britt Baker’s new pal, Jamie Hayter, accepted. Ruby says that she issued the challenge to make us see she didn’t just get lucky on Sunday. But Britt barges in with, “I would like to know why we’re wasting valuable TV time on the flavor of the week.” Britt says Ruby will become completely irrelevant after Hayter beats her tonight and after Britt retains her women’s world title.
Ruby says “Hello, Brittney. Nice to see you.” Ruby says these two have known each other a long time, because Ruby helped Britt break into the business. Which means Ruby knows what Britt is doing. Britt has given herself so many nicknames, from Role Model to Face of the Women’s Division to Ruby’s personal fav, “Baddest bitch on the block.” Britt says all this so that we don’t see what she’s not. Ruby says this is HER block now. Oh, well, what about the most epic nickname, AEW Women’s World Champion? And let’s talk about Ruby’s nickname, “Runaway.” Maybe Ruby should run away to catering where she’s been the last four years of her life!
Ruby gets heated but Hayter steps in. The match is coming, Britt has to rest from her title match. But Hayter will serve up plenty of whoop-ass, courtesy of Britt Baker, DMD. Team Doctor leaves and Ruby tells Schiavone that Britt may be his girl, but Ruby’s gonna whoop that girl’s ass. Will the Runaway run away with that title the first chance she gets?
“Powerhouse” Will Hobbs VS Dante Martin!
There’s beef between Taz and Punk now, but #TownBidness has to focus on Angel Dorado. Will strength or speed win out here in Cincinnati? We find out, after the break.
AEW returns to the ring and Dante Martin makes his entrance. Dante slides into the ring, but Hobbs gets him right away with a waistlock! The bell rings and Hobbs hits a back suplex! Dante lands on his feet but Hobbs CLOBBERS him! Hobbs looms over Dante, drags him up with two hands and whips but Dante kicks and fires off forearms! Dante dodges, springboards, but Hobbs catches him! Dante slips out, shoves, but then ducks and dodges again to then jump up and over and shotgun dropkick Hobbs out! Fans fire up with Dante and he builds speed to DIVE! But Hobbs catches Dante and TOSSES him into the post! Hobbs snarls as the ref reprimands him.
Hobbs tells fans to shut up about Punk, then he drags Dante up to dig his face into the post! The ref counts, Hobbs lets off and talks more trash as he whips Dante into the railing! Dante falls and grits his teeth but Hobbs slaps him around. Hobbs mocks the CM Punk chants, then drags Dante up to whip him into railing again! Hobbs refreshes the count as AEW goes picture in picture.
Hobbs hauls Dante up again, TOSSES him into the ring through the ropes, then takes his time returning. Hobbs KICKS Dante in the side, smirks, but Dante throws body shots! Hobbs CLUBS Dante down and clamps on a chinlock for crossface forearms! Hobbs grins as he clobbers Dante again, then pushes him around. Dante gets up but Hobbs dead lift suplexes him! And stalls for 5 before he SLAMS Dante down! Hook cheers but fans don’t seem as supportive. Hobbs suplexes to SLAM Dante down again, then he drags Dante to a corner. Hobbs chokes Dante on the ropes but lets off as the ref counts. Dante sputters while Hobbs snarls and scowls.
Hobbs pushes Dante around, brings him up, and throws him down by his hair! Hobbs looms over Dante, hauls him up and reels him into a bearhug! Dante endures but Hobbs thrashes him around! AEW returns to single picture, Cincy rallies for Dante but Hobbs SLAMS him down! Hobbs chuckles before he drops a knee on Dante’s gut! Then into the ribs! Hobbs gets annoyed that fans cheer for Dante but Hobbs has some supporters. Hobbs drops his kneepad to then drop a knee right into Dante’s gut! Hobbs even pulls Dante into the knee by clinching his head. Dante endures so Hobbs hammers away with big fists!
Hobbs lets off just to soak up the heat, and then he mockingly says, “It’s clobbering time!” Hobbs CLUBS Dante, gets space, but Dante dodges the knee drop! Hobbs winces, Dante gets up and kicks and then basement tiger feints! Hobbs hobbles, Dante gets up in a corner and goes up top. Dante leaps for a BIG missile dropkick! Then a BIG senton! Cover, TWO! Dante’s hangtime didn’t keep Hobbs down but Dante keeps moving. BOOT against the ropes and Hobbs falls out of the ring! Dante builds speed but Hook blocks the way! Fans boo but Dante just sighs. And then goes again to FLY over Hook to wipe out Hobbs!
Fans fire up with Dante as he gets Hobbs up. Dante manages to get Hobbs into the ring despite the size difference, then he goes to the apron. Dante aims, ENZIGURI and Hobbs wobbles! Hobbs stands, Dante GAMANGIRIS! Dante slingshots and goes around to dodge Hobbs, then CALF KICK! Dante keeps moving, forearm smash! Dante goes corner to corner, but into a HUGE SPINEBUSTER!! Cover, Hobbs wins!
Winner: Will Hobbs, by pinfall
The Powerhouse didn’t even need to use Town Bidness, that spinebuster from the mountaintop was enough! Will Hobbs be using that same power to crush everyone on his way to the top, and CM Punk?
Dan Lambert and the Men of the Year are here!
But up in the nosebleeds again. Lambert sarcastically says, “Well congratulations to AEW on bringing in CM Punk. And Bryan Danielson and Ruby Soho and Adam Cole and every other skinny little dork that’s 5’9″ or shorter that Tony Conman can use to deflect the spotlight away from the truth. But that truth is a persistent little fellow. No matter how hard you try to cover it up, no matter what depths you will go to keep it buried, no matter how easy it is you think it is to hide it from these mindless Millennials that make up this fanbase, it will always be there to show its face.” Fans chant STFU at Lambert as he continues with his rant.
“You may think this company is the hottest thing going in the world of professional wrestling. And you may think that you can keep playing these idiots like a fiddle. Hell, you may even trick most of them into looking up the lyrics to one of the worst songs in the history of the world and watch as they sing it to the heavens.” Ethan Page laughs while Scorpio Sky pretends to dry heave. “But you will never be able to hide the truth for long. This company has two real men wrestling for it, and you’re looking at them right now!” Yes, he means Ethan & Scorpio. But together, they will scream the truth with the voices of a thousand.
So if any tough guys can shut them up, Lambert invites them to do so rather than later before the truth burns AEW to the ground and we don’t need to hear the chant of “A E Dub.” The gauntlet has been cast, who will pick it up to drink the tears of Lambert and his “real men,” All Ego & The Closer?
AEW hears from Matt Hardy and Orange Cassidy.
Big Money Matt says, “Orange Cassidy, you think you’re so cool when you run your fingers through your hair. I am going to take your hair! I am going to shave your head!” Chuck Taylor whispers something to Cassidy and Cassidy says, “Matt Hardy said he wants to cut my hair. Whatever.” Wait, are we going to have a Hair VS Hair match in AEW? Will Hardy put his money where his mouth is? Or will he go bald trying?
MJF and Wardlow are here!
Maxwell Jacob Friedman has a mic and he scowls as he goes to the ring. He has the music cut early as fans chant at him, “You Tapped Out!” MJF explains to the “potbelly pigs” that prior to Sunday, he beat “that stumbling shmuck, Chris Jericho, three times!” That is true, but then MJF says he won a fourth time, clean and smack dab in the middle of the ring! Well… “But after the bell was rung and my music was hit, my match was restarted due to extreme bias against me.” And there IS bias against MJF because everyone in the back wants to BE MJF. But he wouldn’t expect a bunch of people to understand what he’s saying, since they’re all from “Shitsinnati.”
Now obviously these fans are gonna get on Twitter and type in all caps that “OMG MJF THAT’S NOT FAIR!” Let him make this clear to the marks: MJF means every word he says when he says Cincinnati, Ohio “is the biggest dumpster fire in the world!” Fans boo harder but MJF says this is the Midwest because everything in here is “mid.” (So not great, for one) Skyline Chili, #MID! The Cincinnati Reds, who haven’t won a World Series since 1990, #MID! And every single person who lives here? #MID! Oh, got a problem with MJF now, Cincy? How about they do something? Like jump the guardrail like he can beat the crap out of everyone in here! Oh wait, they won’t, they’re all cowards.
And look what’s right up front! Ms. Linda, don’t you make eye contract, he’ll knock her teeth out! And that also goes for lil’ miss 16 & Pregnant right next to her! Let’s see, is Daddy the father of that child? Oh, sorry, Roseanne, you got something to say? Should MJF get closer? Sure, why not! What you got, Preggo? She tells MJF that she is daughter of Cincinnati’s own, “The Loose Cannon,” Brian Pillman! Fans fire up for that one! MJF says, “Well, that certainly would explain your vile looks, so…” But here comes her brother, Brian Pillman JUNIOR! Bulletproof is fired up for being home, too, but he’s also heading to the ring.
“Maxwell Jacob Friedman. Or should I say, Maxwell Jerkoff Friedman?” MJF doesn’t like that nickname but BPJ hears him talking trash about his hometown AND his family. Now, Max, we all know your good silver spoon upbringing. And MJF thinks where he’s from is the best place on earth. But BPJ says where he is from “is a place that breeds badasses!” Badasses like Brian Pillman Sr! Like Jon Moxley! MJF, you may be from luxurious Long Island, but BPJ is from the streets of Cincy, WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE! Fans are fired up for BPJ but MJF says, “Let me get this straight, Junior.” He thought it was a good idea to step to the mic with MJF? Yeah, real smart.
A real shame that BPJ’s mom, #Methanie- NOW BPJ rushes the ring! Wardlow stands guard but MJF says he meant to say Melanie. But it is a shame she couldn’t have birthed just about 500 other different second generation wrestlers, but unfortunately for MJF, she forgot to do to BPJ what she did to all the other prospects and swallow. Wardlow, sorry, but are you trying to help MJF like he did Sunday? Uh oh. MJF wants Wardlow to do him a solid and just stand in the corner and look pretty. MJF tells BPJ that if BPJ doesn’t get out of here right now, MJF will do to BPJ what Mama Pillman should’ve done to him 28 years ago and AB-
BPJ TACKLES MJF! And because Wardlow was told to stand aside, he lets it happen! BPJ fires off fists, but then Wardlow drags BPJ off to stop it before it gets too much. But then BPJ jukes him to stomp a mudhole into MJF! Wardlow waistlocks for a GERMAN SUPLEX! Fans boo but here comes Griff Garrison! But Wardlow CLOBBERS the Ivy League MVP, then feeds him to MJF’s Dynamite Diamond Ring PUNCH! Fans boo as the Varsity Blonds are down. MJF sits Griff up and aims that pinkie ring again. But BPJ jumps in to shield his friend and tag partner. Fans taunt MJF with, “You Tapped Out!” so MJF and Wardlow leave it at this. Is this far from done between the Salt of the Earth and Bulletproof Brian Pillman Jr?
Jon Moxley speaks.
“Minoru Suzuki. The most violent and sadistic wrestler in the history of Japan. The king of pro-wrestling, the King of Pancrase.” Maybe it’s just Moxley and where he’s from, but he never found Suzuki all that scary. Tonight, welcome to the jungle. “You gonna die~!”
Ruby Soho VS Jamie Hayter w/ Britt Baker & Rebel!
Things got personal backstage, but the Runaway will try to keep it business in the ring. Will Ruby run through the professional Hayter to get at her next destination?
The bell rings and Hayter tells fans to stop cheering for Ruby. Fans don’t care, they keep chanting for Ruby as she and Hayter circle. They tie up, Hayter shoves Ruby away but Ruby shrugs it off. They go again, Hayter puts Ruby in a corner, but the ref counts. Hayter lets off with a smack to Ruby’s cheek, but she smirks and goes right at Hayter. Ruby waistlocks, Hayter pries free to get a headlock, but Ruby throws body shots. Ruby powers out, Hayter runs her over! Things speed up, Ruby goes to hip toss but Hayter blocks. Hayter throws a body shot then goes to hip toss but Ruby blocks that to get the cording hold! Hayter goes to throw hands but Ruby cranks the arm!
Ruby throws forearms while Hayter is trapped, but Hayter pulls hair and whips free. Ruby rolls, comes back to block a kick and then KNEES Hayter back. Hayter ends up on ropes, Ruby runs in, but into a FLAPJACK HOTSHOT! Hayter throws Ruby hard into the bottom rope and Ruby sputters and gasps. Hayter KICKS Ruby then kicks her out of the ring as AEW goes picture in picture.
Hayter stalks after Ruby on the outside with Britt talking her up. Hayter gets Ruby up and brings her around the way to RAM into railing! Ruby grits her teeth and Britt talks trash while Hayter kicks and swipes at rowdy fans. Britt brings over a fan’s Ruby Soho sign, and Hayter takes it to rip it up! The ref has Britt and Rebel back off and Ruby throws hands on Hayter! Hayter CLUBS Ruby, gets her up and APRON BACK SUPLEXES! Hayter then makes sure the fan sees the torn pieces of their sign before soak up the heat. Hayter stalks Ruby and kicks her down, but Ruby throws body shots. Hayter CLUBS Ruby, Ruby throws body shots again then stomps a foot!
Ruby runs but into a SPINEBUSTER! Hayter rains down furious forearms then covers, TWO! Hayter argues the count but the ref says it was fair. Ruby gest to a corner, Hayter digs her boot in but lets off as the ref counts. Ruby sputters, Hayter argues with the ref again, then Hayter CLUBS Ruby again. Hayter bumps Ruby off buckles, then does it again but harder! And then again but harder still, having hit all three levels in the same corner. Hayter soaks up the heat and even eggs it on, and Britt gets a cheap shot in! Britt gets away with that before Hayter stomps a mudhole. AEW returns to single picture as Hayter whips Ruby corner to corner.
Hayter runs in but Ruby elbows her! Ruby goes up and hits DEADLY NIGHTSHADE! Fans fire up, Ruby goes side to side and YAKUZA KICKS Hayter in the back! Then the other way for another YAKUZA KICK! Then a third YAKUZA KICK! Fans fire up as Hayter staggers, but Hayter blocks the running Code Breaker! Hayter has Ruby rebound off ropes, only for Ruby to make that a TORNADO DDT! Cover, TWO! Hayter survives and Britt is relieved but Ruby grits her teeth. Ruby drags Hayter around, wrenches but Hayter clubs free! Hayter holds off the saido with clubbing elbows, then Electric Chair lifts Ruby! Ruby fights that, leans back and POISON-RANA ADJACENT! Cover, TWO!
Ruby gets Hayter up to throw haymakers but Hayter cravats for a NECKBREAKER! Hayter gets Ruby up, fireman’s carries, and USHIGOROSHI! Then Hayter runs to SLIDING LARIAT! Cover, TWO!! Ruby survives and frustrates Team Doctor! Hayter fires up, runs but Ruby wrenches to the RIOTT KICK!! Cover, Ruby wins!
Winner: Ruby Soho, by pinfall
That destination came outta nowhere but now here comes Britt! She CLOBBERS Ruby, and Rebel just laughs and shouts at Ruby as Britt gets her up, FISHERMAN SCREW! But here comes RIHO! Riho DECKS Rebel, ROCKS Britt, but Hayter hits a BACKBREAKER! Hayter drags Ruby over to line her up, but here comes KRIS STATLANDER! And Statlander has a CHAIR! The Galaxy’s Greatest Alien runs off Britt, Rebel and Hayter, but will Britt have to worry about all her enemies coming for her soon enough?
AEW hears from Brian Cage and Ricky Starks.
“Ricky, Ricky, Ricky. Aren’t you sick and tired of this?” Yes, Starks IS sick and tired of this, Cage. Last week, knocking him in the head, Starks thought Cage finally got some common sense. But Cage says to cut the crap. One on one, mano a mano, they’re settling this! And that is when The Machine will learn why they call Ricky #Absolute! But will the FTW Championship be back on the line with this grudge match?
Six Man Tag: The Pinnacle w/ Tully Blanchard VS The Dark Order!
Shawn Spears and FTR are united, and even have Wardlow with them now. Meanwhile, Evil Uno just faced Alan Angels on Dark and may have only made the dysfunction in the group grow. Anna Jay put them all on notice, can Uno, Stu and Johnny Hungy make it work to face a team no one likes?
The trios sort out and Silver starts with the Chairman, only for Stu to tag right in. Stu and Spears circle but then Silver tags back in! Spears chuckles as he and Silver circle now, and they tie up. Spears headlocks, Silver powers out but Spears runs him over. Spears flexes then shows off the dancing pecs. Silver scoops and SLAMS Spears! Things speed up, Silver runs Spears over and then flexes! Fans fire up, Silver brings Spears over, but he hesitates to even reach out to Uno. Silver tags Stu, they mug Spears, then Stu wrenches. Spears throws a haymaker then tags Cash Wheeler. Pinnacle mugs Stu, Cash CLOBBERS Stu with a clothesline!
Cash tags Spears back in, they mug Stu more, and then Spears back suplexes. Stu lands on his feet to dodge then PELE! Stu tags Uno, Uno gets Spears up, Stu springboards, ELBOSW DROP SIDEWALK SLAM! Cover, TWO! FTR was ready but they stand down. Uno whips Spears into a corner, then holds out a hand. Silver is again reluctant but he tags in. Winners: The Pinnacle, by pinfall
Number 4 got hit with Spears’ powerful Death Valley, and now the Dark Order is left wallowing in their own frustrations! Uno drags Silver up and gets in his face about the collision! Everyone understands what happens except Uno and that pisses Silver off. Silver SHOVES Uno down, Stu CLOBBERS Silver! Angels SPEARS Stu! Vance and Cabana try to stop this from happening but they also start shoving each other! It seems the line has been drawn between the boys, but here come the ladies! Anna Jay & Tay Conti cannot believe this is happening, and Stu tries to apologize. Conti keeps Jay from stepping close, is Dark Order (not) fine?
AEW recaps the Women’s Casino Battle Royal.
Speaking of Anna Jay & Tay Conti, they note their “deeper issues” with The Bunny & Penelope Ford. But Bunny Allie is the one calling Jay & Tay the psychopaths! But #TayJay is back bit- Wait, hold on. Jade Cargill has Mark Sterling defend that her top level performance was dominant, but also educational. “Don’t trust none of these bitches!” But Nyla Rose says that actions speak louder than words, and her actions spoke the loudest, proving she is STILL the most dominant force in AEW. Thunder Rosa says she is rather heartbroken, because she was so close and yet so far. But Rosa never gives up, and she will get what she deserves. Who will be poised for a title shot after Baker VS Soho?
Tully Blanchard speaks.
He just wants to say that this is a flashback moment for him. He left the ring with three stars having demolished the other team. Then we look over at Darby Allin, Sting, people from past and present, “and that’s what leadership was! You people just watched leadership!” Meanwhile, Sting is just trying to live off of someone else again. Y’know what? Tully promises to put an end to that. He wants Tony Khan to make this for next week: Shawn Spears VS Darby Allin! Then there will come a time when it’s Tully VS Sting one more time. A lot of big words from the Four Horseman, but will his blast from the past come back to bite him in the butt?
Sammy Guevara is here!
And he has cue cards! He has them for picture in picture: “Every Summer has a story. Summer 2021 had some damn good ones! At All Out… Jericho DESTROYED Max! In Pittsburgh… Fuego became ALL ELITE! In Houston… Pam said ‘YES!’ While Summer may be coming to an end… the good times are far from over! The Inner Circle WILL stay on top! Fuego WILL make his mark! And I’ll keep getting those views!” Sammy plugs #Vlogcrew but what must-see moment happens next for the Spanish God?
The Elite head to the ring!
The Young Bucks lead the way but are moving slow from how beat up they are after the epic Steel Cage match where they also lost the AEW World Tag Team Championships. The Good Brothers are still Impact World Tag Team Champions, though. And given how Brandon Cutler is all smiles, Michael Nakazawa is carrying the belt around and Don Callis is feeling good, of course Kenny Omega is still THE AEW World Champion. Tony Schiavone says there’s a lot of gold in this group but then Callis takes over the interview. Callis says it is a pleasure to be here on the night the fans voted NUMBER ONE in the Pro-Wresting Illustrated 500! Thanks for the votes and money.
At All Out, it was all about The Elite! It was about Kenny Omega proving exactly why he IS the greatest in this industry. And it was all about the Bucks providing the fans with the memory that is the greatest tag team match ever! And in the course of that, the belts were STOLEN! But don’t worry, they’ve got a plan. Callis lets Nick explain, and Nick says that “Speaking of getting things back… We got our best friend back!!” Ladies and gentlemen, the “newest” member of The Elite, ADAM COLE~! Cole makes his entrance and he joins everyone in the ring for a group “ADAM COLE, BAYBAY!” Nick hands the mic over to Cole and Cole takes a moment to enjoy the fans chanting.
“Who’s ready for story-time with Adam Cole, baybay? But first of all…” Cole steps to Schiavone and says that he knows Schiavone is really “close” with Britt. But Cole swears that if Schiavone even looks at her the wrong way, he “will slap those stupid glasses of your face and whoop your ass, you understand me?” Now get out of the ring! NOW, nerd! Hurry up, you nerd! Can he go any slower?! GO! Cole has talking to do so step down, nerd. Schiavone does leave and Cole continues. “All Elite Wrestling. The greatest professional wrestling in the entire world! And do you wanna know what that is? It’s because of the guys in the ring right now.”
This very ring, the ropes, the stage, anyone who bought tickets, is all thanks to THE Elite! Cole knows he’s new here, but he’s been Elite for a very, very long time. For nearly 14 years, Cole has main evented, won world championships and shown he is a once in a generation professional wrestler. Now, Cole is with the very best! The Bucks are the greatest tag team of all time! Kenny Omega is a once in a lifetime professional wrestler and the AEW World Championship proves that! Now the Elite has Adam Cole Baybay. We should all be thanking Omega! Thanking the Bucks! Thanking THEM! The Elite is COMPLETE, baybay!
And if you don’t believe him, just wait until next week and Cole’s in-ring debut. After Cole proves to the world how good he really is, we’ll see just how Elite he really is. Omega says that sounds like cause for celebration. As much as he’d love to celebrate with the fans, there’s one thing Omega really, really despises: interruptions. At the PPV, they were so unceremoniously– Oh, there’s Flight of the Valkyrie again! Because here comes BRYAN DANIELSON! The American Dragon goes right to the ring but Omega has the music cut off. This was supposed to be THE ELITE’S moment. Omega has the others give him “the room” for a second so he can talk to their guest.
Hey, Bryan. It’s just them. Step on in to the squared circle. Fans cheer as Bryan gets in and stares down with Omega. Honestly speaking, Bryan is just the guy Omega wanted to talk with. Omega wants to cut to brass tax, but Bryan snatches the mic. “Quick question. Do you guys wanna see Bryan Danielson fight Kenny Omega?” “YES! YES! YES!” Well Omega is saying it doesn’t work like that here? So then wait, Omega’s the greatest wrestler to ever live, right? He says everyone’s not on his level! But Bryan just thinks Omega is afraid to take the match because he knows Bryan is better than him, and that he will kick Omega’s head in, and that Omega is NOT on Bryan’s level!
Omega takes off his fancy suit jacket and swings on Bryan! But into a takedown! YES LOCK!! Omega is tapping out!! But the Elite attack Bryan right away! They stomp Bryan and drag Omega to safety, but here come Christian Cage, Frankie Kazarian and Jurassic Express! They even the numbers just like at the end of All Out! And just like All Out, the Elite bail out of the ring! But this time, Luchasaurus picks up Marko Stunt to TOSS him! Fun Size takes out the Bucks! Jungle Boy FLIES to take out the Good Brothers! The Elite Hunter gets Cole with a leg drop! Cutler scurries but he is trapped like the rat he is! And no one is coming to save him! Bryan hits the RUNNING KNEE on Cutler!!
Fans are thunderous as the Yes Movement comes to AEW! Will he and the enemies of the Elite unite to finally shut down all those egos?
AEW has BIG news for Dynamite: Grand Slam!
After seeing how Malakai Black tore through the rest of the Nightmare Family, Cody Rhodes is on his way back! Will the American Nightmare be at 100% to avenge friends and brother? Or will he still fight even if he’s the walking wounded?
Jon Moxley VS Minoru Suzuki!
The Maniac is home and Cincinnati is happy to have him! But at the same time, the Meanest Man in the World makes his AEW Dynamite debut! Will these two be lonely warriors tonight as they revive their feud from NJPW? And who walks out of here as the king of the jungle?
The bell rings and fans are thunderous as the two stare down. Moxley and Suzuki talk trash and dare the other to do something, but Suzuki forearms first. “This is Awesome!” already because it’s finally happening again! Moxley winds up to forearm Suzuki! Suzuki grins and forearms back. Moxley checks his chin, forearms back and now the forearms fly faster and faster. Fans are fired up as they go back and forth. Suzuki ROCKS Moxley, Moxley ROCKS Suzuki, but Suzuki laughs and runs. Suzuki BOOTS Moxley, Moxley comes back to BOOT Suzuki! Both men share a laugh and the fans are fired up even more.
Suzuki fires off fast hands, palm strikes and body shots! But Moxley ROCKS Suzuki! And then spins to ROLLING ELBOW! Suzuki staggers into ropes but Moxley gets him up to pull him against the ropes. Moxley pulls on Suzuki’s nose, the ref counts and Moxley lets go as fans chant, “F him up, Moxley, F him up!” Moxley goes after Suzuki again in picture in picture, but Suzuki turns that into a DRAPING ARMBAR! The ref counts and reprimands, Suzuki lets go at 4 and then drags Moxley out to wrench and wrap his arm around the post! The ref counts and reprimands again, Suzuki lets off to wrench and wrap Moxley’s arm around the other post.
The ref counts, Suzuki SLAMS Moxley’s arm into the post, Moxley clutches his wrist but Suzuki stomps him down. The ref starts a ring count, Suzuki kicks Moxley around then gets in the ring. Suzuki waits on Moxley as the count climbs, but Moxley gets in at 5 of 10. Suzuki stomps Moxley, drags him around by the bad arm and wrenches it to have a wristlock. Suzuki bends finger to elbow to shoulder for a KIMURA! Moxley endures as Suzuki leans into the hold. Fans rally, Suzuki shifts and SLAMS the arm on the mat. Moxley gets up in anger but leans on the ropes as he clutches that arm. Suzuki toys with Moxley and slaps him around!
Suzuki brings Moxley around and slaps him more. Moxley CHOPS back! Suzuki likes that but Moxley CHOPS him again! And again! Suzuki kicks low and then eggs Moxley on. Moxley gets up so Suzuki BOOTS him into a corner! Suzuki claps, the fans rally up and Suzuki goes corner to corner, into Moxley’s LARIAT! Moxley gets Suzuki up and suplexes high and hard! Cover, TWO! AEW returns to single picture as Suzuki goes to a corner. Moxley storms over to CHOP him again. Moxley whips corner to corner, fans hope they “Fight Forever!” but this show’s almost over! Suzuki reverses the whip to then BOOT Moxley in the corner!
Suzuki snapmares Moxley, runs and PENALTY KICK, but Moxley blocks it! Moxley CLUBS the leg, BITES Suzuki’s forehead, then lets off as the ref counts. Suzuki staggers about but comes back to BITE Moxley! The ref counts, Moxley HEADBUTTS! Suzuki HEADBUTTS back! Moxley wobbles but he HEADBUTTS again! Suzuki HEADBUTTS, Moxley HEADBUTTS, then they DOUBLE HEADBUTT! Both men fall over and fans are fired up! A standing count starts but both men are up at 3. “This is Awesome!” as they fire off SLAPS and forearms! The two stand, the forearms keep flying, and Suzuki ROCKS Moxley!
Suzuki ROCKS Moxley again, but Moxley fires up to LARIAT! Suzuki stays up to forearm, then he catches Moxley for a SLEEPER! Spin around and Gotch hold, but Moxley fights the piledriver with a back drop! Suzuki pops up but into a kick, PARADIGM SHIFT!! But Moxley isn’t done, he runs, Suzuki is bleeding from his eyebrow, and Moxley LARIATS him back down! Cover, ONE?!?! Moxley can’t believe that but Suzuki stands up. Moxley runs and LARIATS again, but Suzuki stays up on the power of rage! Moxley runs again, LARIATS, but Suzuki fights gravity with all his fighting spirit! Moxley runs again but Suzuki DROPKICKS him down!
Suzuki enjoys the blood from his own forehead as he wraps on the SLEEPER! Moxley slips free and ROCKS Suzuki with a haymaker! And then DECKS Suzuki with another! Moxley hauls Suzuki up into the underhooks, for a DEATH RIDER!! Moxley wins!!
Winner: Jon Moxley, by pinfall
The Cincy Maniac just made the ring red with Suzuki’s eyebrow blood, and now he gets to celebrate his triumphant homecoming! And as such, he goes out to the crowd to party with his people! Will this win be a big reason Moxley gets another shot at the AEW World Championship? Or at least get the attention of more NJPW stars for him to Strong Style brawl with?
My Thoughts:
Another great episode of AEW here, especially for following certainly one of the best AEW PPV’s. Opening with Dustin VS Malakai was a great choice, and it was a very good match. It also had great character work similar to Malakai VS Johnson, but I feel like it’s more of a rip that we’re just being told Dynamite Grand Slam has Cody VS Malakai instead of Cody doing a very heroic rescue of Dustin as his return. And it would actually be a great move if Malakai still won, so that Cody can shrug off the feelings of “Cody Wins LOL” some already criticize him for. Malakai needs to build and build until he’s taking on a champion, whoever that might be.
Speaking of champions, I like that we got a promo from Miro and Kingston, and I would love to see a rematch of those two where rules are thrown out the window. I don’t know if Kingston wins that, Miro is just that good right now. But Miro VS Malakai could be a thing, and what a great dynamic of Miro having his delusions and Malakai being about shattering arrogance as a story building to a great showdown. CM Punk had a very good promo segment, even if it was weird for Taz to just get attitude with him to set things up. Starks and Cage had a good promo video, their rematch is going to be great, Punk VS Starks should happen after that, FTW Championship completely optional in all that.
I really like that we got what I’ve said should be happening on Dark and Elevation tapings, in that we segue smoothly from one wrestler being ringside for some other reason to having their match right up next. Hobbs goes from trying to intimidate Punk to having a very good match with Dante Martin. Hobbs of course wins here so he can go towards a match with Punk with momentum. We got a slightly less cringe inducing promo from Lambert and his reverse psychology, but I have no idea why Archer isn’t just hunting these guys. It is clever that Lambert and his guys are in the nosebleeds so that they’re so far away from the ring, but we should get promos of Archer getting mad about that.
Nice quick plug for the next phase of Hardy VS Cassidy, and I really do like the idea of Hair VS Hair as a way to go about this. Hardy being shaved bald or even Cassidy being shaved bald could give both guys something fresh to work with. Though to be fair, Cassidy is so chill, a new haircut isn’t much of anything so this has to be coming around to “hurt” Hardy. MJF’s promo segment, just with everything he had to work with to get the fans pissed at him, that is the evil genius of his Heel persona. BPJ got to step up for his family and his town, and I really do like the idea that The Pinnacle as a whole is perhaps moving on from Inner Circle to these other young stars. MJF VS BPJ should get just as heated as MJF has made any other feud he’s been in.
Really good promos from Lucha Brothers and Santana & Ortiz, I am hoping those teams face off for the next tag title feud. Ruby Soho had a really good promo segment with Britt and her team, then had a really good match with Hayter. Riho and Statlander coming to Ruby’s rescue was nice stuff. Both Riho and Statlander have had beef with Britt so there’s continuity, and it seems we’re getting a big Six Woman Tag. Speaking of trios, got a good Six Man out of Pinnacle VS Dark Order, with great advancement in that Dark Order Civil War story. Tully was a bit stumbling in calling out Sting and Darby but again, I like that Pinnacle gets to move on to other stories.
The Elite had a great group promo allowing Adam Cole to have his Dynamite debut, and of course Bryan and the others come out to counteract things. Omega VS Bryan is definitely next, but we can get a lot of great stuff out of The Elite VS the various Elite Hunters, not just Kazarian but also the Jurassic Express and Christian. How about THAT be a Blood & Guts? Bucks, Good Brothers and Cole VS JB, Luchasaurus, Marko, Kaz and Christian, while we also get Omega VS Bryan on the same night. Maybe for the Dynamite Anniversary in October? Now THAT is a “season three premiere” to remember.
And of course, we got a great main event in Mox VS Suzuki, those two are a perfect combo. Moxley won because duh, AEW lets hometown heroes win. Should Kingston not dethrone Miro, and they wait on Miro VS Malakai, give me Miro VS Moxley! Miro and Moxley are their own brands of crazy, those two going head to head will be a lot of fun.
My Score: 9.2/10

Adam Copeland is here!
The fans fire up and sing along as The Rated R Superstar makes his entrance, complete with the pyro but also a black eye. Cope goes to the ring, he grabs a mic, and he tells Seattle, “If you couldn’t tell, Dynasty on Sunday didn’t necessarily go our way. Yes, my face got messed up, way to go, Einstein. I got glue in my forehead, staples in my forehead, I got a shiner. Let’s face it, FTR… They said what they were gonna do and they did it.” The fans boo but Cope says they got to Christian, too, that’s why he’s not here. Christian’s gotta get an MRI on his forearm to see if it’s broke. The fans also boo that.
Cope says FTR gave his wife a piledriver. They took Christian’s watch! And in Christian’s world, that’s actually worse! There are three things you don’t mess with when it comes to Christian: His watch, his wine, and his women. In that order. But FTR, on Dynamite, you came out and said that while you’re the champions, Cope & Cage will not get another title shot. The fans boo again, but Cope says he is cooking an idea on that so bear with him. But if FTR thinks that this is just about titles, that C&C are just gonna walk away cuz they didn’t win at Dynasty, they’ve watched C&C’s careers and think that these two are just gonna walk away?
Do you think that they’re just gonna tuck their tails and run? The fans say “NO!” Cope says that is NOT what they do! Christian was forced to retire for seven YEARS! He busted his ass and he got this back! The fans cheer that, and Cope says he was retired for NINE YEARS, told he can never do this again because if he fell over, he could die! But Cope is standing here, full o’ piss ‘n’ vinegar! C&C are like dogs on a bone, and they will END FTR and take their pound of flesh! The fans cheer, but then FTR makes their way out here. Cope is ready to fight, but where are they? FTR walks out on stage, and Stoke has the mic as he smiles at Cope.
But then RPG VICE rush Cope, just like last week! Cope is ready this time and he fights off Rocky & Trent, but now FTR joins in! The fans boo this 4v1 mugging with Stoke cheering them on! But wait! The Young Bucks rush out here! Matt & Nick Jackson rush the ring, and they dodge FTR to CLOBBER RPG Vice! Then DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for FTR! RPG Vice go after The Bucks, then send them at each other! The Bucks reverse to LARIAT Rocky, then they DOUBLE SUPERKICK Trent! Cope SPEARS Trent down and the fans fire up! Cope snarls as he stands back up, and he shakes hands with The Bucks as thanks for the help.
Cope & The Bucks stare FTR down as FTR retreats, but will The Bucks and C&C have to fight it out to go after those tag team championships?
Jack Perry speaks.
“At Dynasty, I got my first taste of what it’s like to defend this championship. And it’s exactly what I’ve been waiting for. But Don Callis, you only got close enough to get a sniff, because I beat your biggest, baddest and most dangerous, Mark Davis. But after what you just did to the Young Bucks, well, I wanna shove this up your big, stupid, spray-tanned nose. So why don’t you go ahead and pick your favorite goon out of the bunch and meet me next week in Portland so that I can add another notch to my belt as the National Champion.” Jungle Jack has thrown out the challenge, but who will be up to the task?

Y’all’re about to get screwed!” The fans boo but like it or not, these Dogs are off the leash! What will they do in order to become the top dogs of AEW?
The Divine Dominion speaks.
“Like the mythic deities of ancient Greece, the Divine stand high above all. Adorned in iridescent jewels and gold, we captivate and we dominate. Our beauty, exquisite. Our fury, unrivaled. Our power, everlasting. She is the Colossal Lena Kross. She is the Megasus, Megan Bayne. And we are the Divine Dominion.” Who dares step to their throne next?

The Opps commandeer a camera.
Hook & Shibata are back, and the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil says he found this crazy coffee shop in Seattle. But then Anthony Bowens walks in and says he’s glad he found them. Bowens needs to know right now, is he Opps or not? Hook says slow your roll, bud! Hook will give Bowens his decision next week. Hook’s the boss now, so what he says goes. Bowens says yeah, okay, boss. The 5 Tool Player heads out, Hook goes back to talking about the coffee shop. Will Hook consider Bowens tough enough to join the crew? Or will he just string Bowens along another week?
Kris Statlander & Hikaru Shida VS Big Anne & Danika Della Rouge!
These two former AEW Women’s World Champions did make a winning combination last week, but not exactly cohesive. The Galaxy’s Greatest didn’t get a word in edgewise when The Shining Samurai said they’d do it again, but will they do it again? Or will things fall off already for #Krishida?

Backstage interview with Don Callis & Kazuchika Okada.
Lexy Nair is with The Invisible Hand and The Rainmaker, and brings up that Callis promised Konosuke Takeshita a shot at the AEW International Championship at Double or Nothing if he and Okada got along at Dynasty. Now, given how that match went, is the deal still on? Callis says he looked back at the tape, and it is sad to say, maybe even embarrassing, that Okada & Takeshita did NOT follow the arrangement they discussed. Callis can get Okada out of this, there doesn’t have to be a title match. Okada shakes his head and says he is not going to back down. He wants this match! Okada knows he can beat Takeshita, because Okada is a champion! Unlike Takeshita!
Okada storms off, Callis follows, but will the NJPW World Television Champion prove Okada wrong?

AND a kendo stick was left behind in Toni Storm’s locker room! Mina isn’t sure what Shida is up top, but she does NOT trust her. Oh, is that so? Shida tells “Shirakawa-san” in Japanese that it must be nice to get this far just on looks! Mina is pissed but Kris keeps the peace.
Shida storms off, and Mina tells Kris to not trust Shida. Kris storms off, too, but could Mina have a point? Could Shida have taken out Toni Storm to clear room for herself at the top?
AEW Women’s World Championship: Thekla VS Alex Windsor!
The Toxic Spider took another shortcut to shortchange an opponent when she snuck one on Jamie Hayter at Dynasty. Iron Will Windsor wants to avenge her best mate, but will she make herself a double champion in the process? Or will Thekla take out two Brawling Birds in one week?
The introductions are made, the AEW belt is raised, and we see who survives this Collision!

Another fight, another dirty tactic! But in the end, even Windsor fell into the Toxic Spider’s trap! Will anyone ever get wise to Thekla’s tricks? Or will AEW always be toxic?
My Thoughts:
A great Collision, though kinda hard to follow that great Dynamite from last night. A lot of these matches felt like filler, but because it’s AEW, they even make filler go above and beyond. Pac VS Lio was actually the first real display of this “Problem Child” persona that I really liked. Lio got to show more personality, and seeing Pac & Garcia be afraid of Lio really helped sell the character. Great win for Pac, though, and maybe he goes for the TNT title next. Brody, Mistico y Dorada of course won their match, but again, they made the squash match a fun match. Them mentioning Bandido and Supercard of Honor was nice, it means they care about ROH on some level.
Very good opening promo from Cope, but of course FTR had to show up. RPG Vice attacking again was redundant, but The Bucks making the save was a nice change. Makes me think we’re getting an 8 Man Tag, FTRPG Vice VS Cope, Cage & The Bucks, and that somehow leads to the tag title match for Double or Nothing. Great tag match from The Bucks VS The Rascalz, and even a good move for The Dogs to go after those teams. I wonder if The Dogs and even The Rascalz get in on the tag match. Five, maybe even six teams, all fighting for the titles, that’d be awesome stuff for Double or Nothing, and a great way to give The Bucks their historic fourth reign.
Kris & Shida had a very good tag match and of course they won, but I like Mina accusing Shida of being whodunnit. Shida is certainly being two-faced, but who knows if she’ll be chosen as the one who took out Toni Storm. Great Six Man Tag from Conglomeration VS Lethal Twist, and of course The Conglomeration won. Great Continental Championship Eliminator, and great showing for Nick Wayne in his return to Dynamite. I still think he needs more to do with the ROH World TV title, but hey, they could use this to say Nick won some respect from Moxley. The story still feels like Moxley and Ospreay will run it back at Double or Nothing.
And as I figured from last night, Thekla was gonna cheat to win and keep the title. It was a great main event, but there might be something bigger in store for Double or Nothing, like a Triple Threat against both Brawling Birds.
My Score: 8.8/10

PLAY BY PLAY
Renee Paquette is waiting in the parking lot.
She lets us know that AEW Management has been trying to let MJF know for the past three days that Darby Allin has demanded his AEW World Championship opportunity for tonight. A car pulls up, and MJF has arrived! Renee gets his attention, and brings up Darby’s win at AEW Dynasty. MJF stops her there, because he doesn’t get why we’re talking about Darby Allin, the guy he’s beaten three times, and once with a headlock takeover. No, what we’re gonna talk about is THE world champion, the most important champion in all of pro-wrestling today, the guy who has beaten the likes of Bandido, Brody King, Kevin Knight, Mike Bailey!
The man who has made sure that Hangman Adam Page can NEVER, EVER be AEW World Champion again, and the man who kicked out of a One Winged Angel like it was nothing! Honestly, a very ineffective move. A man who beat your boy, “Kenny BAH GAWD Omega,” fair and square in the middle of the ring! Nobody can stop #BigHebrew! But Darby has- Don Callis interrupts and he shakes MJF’s hand! What a match! He destroyed Kenny Omega! Just as Callis knew MJF would. Enjoy it, champ! MJF says Callis is a mench. Not just that, The Mench of the Cench (as in Century). Callis says sorry about the Andrade thing, though, but take care.
MJF asks what Callis means by that. Well, Darby beat Andrade. Wait, what? MJF thought Andrade won. No, didn’t MJF watch the match? NO, he was preparing for his own match! Well, Andrade… MJF stops Don there. He loves Don to death, this isn’t Don’s fault, it’s on his boy. However, now Callis owes MJF one. Now, this isn’t the favor, but Callis does need to tell Andrade on MJF’s behalf that he is NOT ever gonna be championship material because the man doesn’t get the job done when he needs to. MJF reiterates that he loves Don, and he says bye, Renee, he’s outta here. But then Renee shouts at MJF to just listen!
Darby Allin won his match at Dynasty, making him #1 contender, and he wants that match TONIGHT. Does he understand!? What?! Tonight?! When?! Renee chuckles as she says, right now. WHAT THE WHAT?!? MJF is furious, he just arrived! Does MJF even stand a chance? Or has Darby gotten one over on The Devil of AEW?
AEW World Championship: MJF VS Darby Allin!
MJF panics as he shouts, “NO! NO! NO! Cut the music! Cut the gaddamn music right now!!” The fans boo but MJF storms down to the ring. MJF says if the “little emo freak” thinks for one solitary second that MJF is defending his title in an impromptu that he just found out about three seconds ago, then Darby is as stupid as he looks! The fans boo but MJF tells them to shut up! Maybe the people are too braindead to understand how much money MJF has. If he doesn’t want something to happen, it won’t happen! MJF will get his lawyer, he’ll sue “that skank, Aubrey,” he’ll sue Darby, he’ll sue “that pervert, Justin Roberts!”
MJF will sue Tony Khan, sue AEW, sue Warner Brothers, and every single one of these freaks who decide to live in the dumpster fire that is Washington state! The fans chant “Ring The Bell!” MJF mockingly asks back, “Ring the bell? You wanna see the match right now?! Do you wanna see this match?! Too bad! My back hurts from wrestling close to an hour against Kenny Omega only three days ago. Speaking of legalities, I wonder how our company would look if they forced me to wrestle tonight with an injury. That’s not a good look. Darby, I’m gonna go get checked out by the trainers in the back, but frankly, I’m doing you a favor by not wrestling you.”
The fans boo more, MJF’s mic gets glitchy, so he trades with Justin Roberts. MJF says he is doing Darby a favor. Let’s talk the elephant in the room: Darby is very talented, a great underdog, the fans love him! They really do. But the reason they love you is because you’re like them. You’re good, but not great. Like the fans, you’re not championship material. Darby, with love and respect, and MJF does mean that, you’re not ready to be- Darby snatches the mic from MJF! Darby is worked up already as the fans cheer him on. “All it takes is one night to drop the wrestling world’s on its head! If I’m not ready now, I’ll never be ready!”
The fans cheer Darby on as he says, “I kill myself for this company. Monday, I hung posters all around this city. I taped posters all around the city for tonight’s show. I climbed Mount Everest and I hung that flag on top of the world! The scars, the blood, everything! I’m ready! I’ve been ready! My career started ten miles down the road, at the Buddy Wayne Academy. And I took a deep breath my first day of wrestling school, and I said I was either gonna make it as Darby Allin, or I’m gonna fail as Darby, but I’m not changing a single thing!” The fans cheer that, too! Darby says tonight, he climbed to the top of this sport, and he didn’t change a thing! RING THE BELL!
The fans are fired up again but MJF says first off, relax, we’re not doing that. But then BRYAN DANIELSON speaks up! The fans cheer as Bryan tells MJF and Darby that he just got a message right from Tony Khan. And Tony Khan actually agrees… with MJF… It is unfair for MJF to wrestle when he is unprepared. And Max, that is why Tony will give MJF plenty of time to prepare, because this match, this AEW World Championship match, will be in tonight’s MAIN EVENT! The fans cheer that! MJF is furious, because that’s still only 90 minutes! MJF protests, but the fans cheer “YES! YES! YES!” Bryan says if MJF refuses that match, he will be STRIPPED of the title!
MJF is furious, but Darby turns him around to say, “Tonight in the main event, I’m beating your ass with a headlock takeover!” Darby throws down the mic, having thrown down the gauntlet! Will everything come full circle for the Relentless One?
AEW shares footage from after Dynasty.
Tony Schiavone waited outside the trainer’s room and spoke on the amazing night and amazing main event. He has Kenny Omega here, and he says he knows it was a heartbreaking loss. How is Kenny doing? Kenny isn’t sure what to say, he has nothing. He is sorry about that. Schiavone says that’s alright, just take care of yourself. Doc Sampson helps Kenny walk through the door, and Will Ospreay is also getting checked out. Kenny says, “Look at us, Will.” Ospreay feeling okay? Not really. Welcome to the club. Things didn’t go their way tonight. Not one bit. Not how they pictured it. Kenny feels he let everyone down.
Ospreay gets that, but he wants Kenny to think about it. Ospreay was there in the Tokyo Dome back in 2017 when Omega lost to Okada. Omega doubted himself, but he bounced back and climbed up the mountain. Yeah, but that was almost 10 years ago. Omega isn’t sure how much time he has left. But Ospreay does have time. He has the heart of a wrestler. AEW, pro-wrestling, it’s all Ospreay from here on in. Omega believes Ospreay can take it back. Ospreay’s got this. Ospreay says they still have this.
Now, Ospreay is dejected, sad, crying for about the last 40 minutes. But his dream and his ambition are still being AEW World Champion. He hopes Kenny hasn’t given up that dream, either. Omega can do it. Ospreay stands up, says he always has Kenny’s back, and gives him a pat and kiss on the head. Ospreay says Omega’s his hero. They shake on it and Ospreay heads out. Omega thinks on that. Omega is Ospreay’s hero, huh? Then maybe he can’t give up. The Best Bout Machine has a lot to think about, but will he rebuild and redeem himself just as before? Or will it take a bit more than determination to reclaim that former glory?

Another singles victory for Ciampa, but he demands the mic. “This was the example. Why? Because I’m sick of waiting. I want it all. I came to AEW because this is where the best wrestle, and I want all of the gold. And if I’m not making myself clear… Darby Allin, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, whoever wins… the Psycho Killer is coming for the AEW World title!” Then he PUNTS Dez outta the ring! His shadow knows his story, but will Ciampa’s future be the top of the mountain?

FTR is here!
Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood are still the AEW World Tag Team Champions as they and Stokely Hathaway make their way to the ring. #BigStoke is all smiles as he hands the mic to Dax. Dax says he’s read a lot of the chatter online, he’s heard all the complaints, and it seems to him the fact that FTR has won again makes all of the fans angry. Hey, he gets it, he understands why they’re angry. They love an underdog story! They love an underdog story because they think they can relate to it, they feel they can relate to the underdog. But the fact is, they’re not underdogs, they’re just losers! No, seriously, they’re just losers! Fat losers!
And speaking of losers, FTR gave Adam Copeland & Christian Cage a brush with relevancy, and those two couldn’t get the job done. So Cope, Cage, Dax is talking to you: As long as FTR are the AEW World Tag Team Champions, C&C will never get a shot at these again! Stoke says he has been told that supposedly, all the fans are educated people? The fans chant, “NO HOES!” Stokely says he don’t need hoes, he has the AEW World Tag Team Champions. But before he was so rudely interrupted, he has been told that “the sickos” know everything about everything! They know about pro-wrestling, about sports, about politics, about history, religion!
So then clearly, they all know the story of David VS Goliath! And the two men that Stoke has in this ring, this is Goliath! And he is here to tell us, that there are a lot of Milli Vanillis, a lot of wannabe Davids! From #Brodido to the Bang Bang Gang to even Matt & Nick Jackson and Cope & Cage! Stoke is here to say that every time David steps up to Goliath, he gets b*tched out. Stoke feels there is no more competition here in AEW! Tony Khan will surely do what he does best and go to CMLL or NJPW, sign every CHUD he can to put in the division, but the results will be the same: they all will fall to the giants known as F T R!
Cash says beautifully said, Big Stoke. Now, if the fans would do FTR a favor and please, he’s asking nicely, let them pay homage to the careers of Cope & Cage. Now that FTR has put an end to them, they would like to have a moment of silence. Please, if you would… The fans boo instead. Cash says please, a moment of silence. And then it’s one second. Now, for those of you in attendance with the benefit of flash photography, FTR won’t give you five seconds, they’re feeling generous. They will give you a ten second pose! The fans boo but FTR does their best “Barry Allen over Oliver Queen’s grave” style pose.
The ten seconds are up and Cash thanks Seattle, they’ve been great, have a great night. The fans boo more, but FTR is moving on with the belts. But is there really no team in AEW that can take these #TopGuysOut?

Winner: Kevin Knight, by pinfall (still AEW TNT Champion)
The Jet may have felt like an underdog champion, but he proved he is a rightful champion! Knight gets a mic to say, “Yo, yo, yo! Everett, Washington! Y’all miss me?” The fans cheer for that! Knight says shoutout to Claudio, by far one of the hardest hitting dudes, one of the strongest opponents Knight’s ever had. Give it up for Claudio. The fans do cheer Claudio, and Knight says he won’t let that stop him. The Jet is looking good, feeling even better, as your NEW TNT Champion, baby! The fans cheer for that, too. Knight says before he won this, he did lose the trios titles. Speedball, Knight knows you’re beating yourself up over that, but don’t take it personally, he doesn’t blame you.
And as they say, when one door closes, another one opens. Sometimes you gotta slow down to speed back up, and The Jet is riding high, baby! The fans cheer again, and Knight says tonight, there’s a big one with Darby Allin VS MJF for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship! And well, Knight will keep a close eye on that one, because #Jet2Belts sounds #2Fly! Knight is ready to add even more golden luggage to the flight log, but will his flight plan be headed for The Scumbag from Long Island? Or will it be the hometown hero in Darby Allin?
Renee Paquette is in the ring.
Spring Breakthru returns as she says to welcome the legendary Chris Jericho! The fans cheer as The Demo God, The Ayatollah of Rock ‘n’ Rolla, The Nueve, Y2J makes his entrance. Jericho gets pyro while he struts down the ramp and the fans sing along with Judas. Jericho joins Renee in the ring, and Renee says it is so good to see him, and the fans are sure happy to see him. Jericho fires the fans up more and they chant his name. Renee says maybe not everyone is happy, since last week, Ricochet came out here and said Jericho would be rusty. Clearly, from the match on Sunday, that is not the case. How did Jericho feel his first match back?
Jericho know show he feels being back in Everett, Washington tonight. But he feels so happy to be back in AEW. It was great to be back in the ring at Dynasty. One of his favorite matches in a long time, in front of a great crowd. Even though Jericho lost, he didn’t loss because of rust or overexcitement, it was because he was outnumbered 3v1. The fans agree with that. Jericho still gives credit where credit is due, congrats to Ricochet for probably the biggest win- Oh, well, Ricochet makes his way out here, The Gates of Agony by his side. Ricochet has a mic to tell the fans to sit down, shut up, and listen! The fans chant “BALD!” instead.
Ricochet then tells Jericho that he meant every single word when he said he respects Jericho. And after that valiant performance at Dynasty, Ricochet respects Jericho even more. But Jericho didn’t listen to Ricochet at all, did he? No, he signed his contract and got himself hurt, just like Ricochet said Jericho would. And on top of that, Ricochet had to do it! The opportunity was in the palm of his hand, so he had to take Jericho out with his own move, the Lionsault! Or what will be renamed “The Ricosault.” The fans boo that idea, but Ricochet says he gives Jericho credit, Jericho didn’t completely embarrass himself. He did pretty good, but just not good enough to overcome the rise of Ricochet.
The fans tell Ricochet to STFU, but he says he’ll be out here all night if he wants! But as he was saying, Jericho wasn’t good enough to beat Ricochet, so maybe do yourself a favor and quite now while you’re ahead. Well, unless… Jericho is the king of reinvention. The Lionheart, the guy in the suits with the big words, the Demo God, the light up jacket, we’ve seen it all! So here’s an idea: Jericho becomes the guy who gets his ass beat by The Demand every single week he shows up! The fans boo again, but Ricochet says the fans must like that idea. Jericho can stick around after all and have the best run of his entire career!
Jericho asks Renee to please step aside. Jericho says first off, “The Ricosault?” That’s brutally bad. Secondly, bald. The fans chant “BALD!” But Jericho appreciates Ricochet coming out here, bald, and giving him some insight, because Jericho really respects Ricochet’s opinions, bald. The fans cheer and laugh, but Jericho continues by saying he knows what the game is here, weird shaped head. Ricochet is on stage with his goons, dumb and ugly, and they’re gonna back Ricochet up no matter what it is he says or does, bald. So here’s a proposition for you, bald. Why not leave his goons, dumb and ugly, on the stage, come on down here, bald, and face Jericho 1v1 right here in Everett, BALD!?
The fans fire up for that idea, but Ricochet says don’t think he doesn’t see what Jericho’s doing! He knows what Ricochet’s saying! Jericho doesn’t get to call Ricochet bald, and he’s not afraid to face Jericho 1v1! Well, Jericho feels Ricochet is too scared, and bald, to come down here. Ricochet says fine! Liona, Kaun, stay up here, and no matter what, let Ricochet handle this 1v1. Do not help him no matter what, understand? Ricochet drops the mic, takes off the jacket and the vest, and so does Jericho. Ricochet rushes the ring, Jericho dodges him, and then HIP TOSS! Jericho runs, and he LARIATS! The fans fire up but Ricochet waves to his guys!
Jericho stomps away, GOA run in, but Jericho fires hands! That’s still 3v1, so much for Ricochet honoring the deal! The fans boo, but The Demand let off, only for Jericho to go after them again! Jericho gets mugged again, then they CLOSE THE GATES on Jericho! The fans boo harder but then Ricochet gets an idea. LIONSAULT! The fans boo again, but now The Demand stand tall. Will Jericho have to go back to the drawing board to gameplan a way to defeat Bald, Dumb & Ugly?
AEW shares more footage from after Dynasty.
Renee Paquette found Don Callis & Kazuchika Okada to ask them what happened out there against The Young Bucks. Callis says what happened was that there was a 2v1 situation, two Bucks, one Rainmaker! But then Callis spots Takeshita and confronts him. What happened? The Alpha says that was an accident. Oops. He’s so sorry~! Takeshita mocks Okada, Okada throws his armbands at Takeshita, then insults him in Japanese. Callis says it’s okay, they’re not done, they’ll work this out. But is Callis the one who needs to work out that things aren’t okay in the Don Callis Family?
Will Ospreay VS Hechicero!
The Aerial Assassin told Kenny Omega to keep his chin up, and surely Ospreay is taking his own advice. Will the #BillyGOAT get back on the horse by taking down the CMLL World Heavyweight Champion? Or will the Alchemist of Lucha simply add insult to injury?
But wait, Don Callis makes his entrance. Callis says he has something important to say. And in his horrible Espanol, Callis says, “Todos los personas del Everett, Washington that is muy, muy stupido, from the great country of Mexico…! Es un cabra muy super intendoooooooo~! YO! SOY! HE-CHI-CEROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~!” So it’s been how long and no one has told Don he gets that wrong? That aside, Hechi makes his entrance with new music and more pyro. Ospreay ducks ‘n’ dodges to RANA! The fans fire up while Hechi bails out!
Ospreay gets the fans to join in with “OI! OI! OI!” then he goes to the ropes. Ospreay PLANCHAS and brings Hechi down! The fans fire up as Ospreay stands tall while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Ospreay shakes out his arm, then he stomps Hechi. Ospreay stands Hechi up, throws him into railing, then CHOPS him to the corner. Ospreay ROCKS Hechi, then brings him around, only for Hechi to fire body shots. Ospreay fires back with forearms and UPPERCUTS. They go around the way before Ospreay puts Hechi in the corner. Ospreay warns Callis and even Lance Archer, then he BOOTS Hechi down. Ospreay leads fans in taunting Callis, then he bumps Hechi off buckles. Ospreay climbs up and he rains down fists! Ospreay goes all the way to TEN, but Hechi lifts him off the corner! Ospreay fights free, and WHEEL KICKS Hechi down!
Ospreay drags Hechi around, steps through, and has the FIGURE FOUR! Ospreay shows he can do technical wrestling, too! Hechi endures, even as Ospreay puts on the pressure. Hechi CLUBS the leg, twists the foot, but Ospreay puts on more pressure! Hechi reaches out, and makes the ROPEBREAK! Ospreay lets Hechi go, then stomps him down. Ospreay steps through on the spinning toehold! Ospreay ELBOWS Hechi down, then stalks him to ropes. Spring Breakthru returns to single picture as Hechi fires a body shot, but Ospreay fires a forearm! They trade shots, and Ospreay spots Marina Shafir in the crowd.
Ospreay warns The Problem, but Marina says she’s just here to watch. Ospreay whips but Hechi reverses to duck the kick, and pump handle Ospreay into a modified abdominal stretch! Hechi then scoops Ospreay, but Ospreay slips free and waistlocks. Hechi switches, Ospreay switches, repeat! Hechi hammerlocks and swings Ospreay around, MAD SCIENTIST BACKBREAKER! Hechi then shoves Ospreay to a corner and JUMP KNEES in the back! The fans are torn while Ospreay falls, and Marina acts unimpressed. Hechi covers, TWO! Ospreay grits his teeth as he rises up but Hechi stomps him. Hechi then BOOTS Ospreay to the ropes.
Hechi whips and SPINEBUSTERS Ospreay, then steps through for the spinning toehold! Hechi then steps over to TWIST Ospreay’s arm! Then Hechi pushes Ospreay down for the NECK TWIST! The fans boo but Hechi runs to WERCK Ospreay with the dropkick! Ospreay is on the floor and Marina chuckles. Hechi puts Ospreay in the ring, then hooks up the legs. Ospreay aims, for HIDDEN BLADE!! Cover, Ospreay wins!!
Winner: Will Ospreay, by pinfall
Callis says fine, on to Plan B! What does that mean? Callis says you’ll just have to wait and see. Ospreay stares Marina down, seemingly wanting her to send a message to Moxley. But wait, MARK DAVIS LARIATS OSPREAY DOWN! Plan B is more like Plan D, as in Dunkzilla! COUNT TO PAIN!! The piledriver takes Ospreay down! Will #DangerousDavis prove to be hazardous for Ospreay’s health?
Renee Paquette is on stage.
She says this has been an incredible night for Spring Breakthru, but then Thekla immediately interrupts from… somewhere… with a whiny, mocking, “No~, niet~, nein~!” The Toxic Spider creeps in from up in the crowd, and she tells Renee that Renee looks good tonight. But not a single person here paid to see Renee flap her lips, when the Toxic Spider is in the house! The fans do cheer Thekla, and she says she just wanted to remind everybody that she marched into Dynasty THE AEW Women’s World Champion, and she defeated the great Jamie Hayter. “I beat her ass good!” And then she walked out still the champion.
Y’all better get used to that! Because this industry is filled with nothing but dumb b*tches! But then Alex Windsor storms out on stage to interrupt Thekla! “Did you really think I was gonna let you say that you actually beat Jamie Hayter? No, no, no, and I’m certainly not gonna let you waltz around tonight when I should beat the piss out of you right bloody now!” Thekla says wow, wow, wow. She says the word “dumb b*tch,” and one magically appears! Why is Alex so angry? Don’t blame Thekla that Alex’s best friend lost, or that her husband lost for that matter. Alex tells Thekla that she’s forgetting she’s not the only champion.
You are looking at THE NJPW Strong Women’s Champion, Alex WINDSAAA~! The fans cheer, and Alex asks if Thekla wonders what they say about her in Japan. What do they say in Japan? They don’t call Thekla a champ, they call her the girl who was stupid enough to get herself fired! Oi, oi, oi, mate, chill yer balls, oi! Thekla didn’t get fired. Well, okay, she did. BUT…! Only because they couldn’t handle her, just like no one in AEW can handle Thekla! Oh, nobody can handle Thekla? Okay, alright. Windsor gets in the ring, and says she’ll handle Thekla right now! How about NO~! Alexa says fine, champ, have it your way.
How about Thekla puts that lovely title on the line, and Alex will meet Thekla back here on Collision? Alright, Thekla likes that. But then The Sisters of Sin rush in from outta nowhere! But Alex HEADBUTTS Skye and LARIATS Julia! So much for that sneak attack! Thekla still smiles, then hurries off before Alex can rush the crowd! Will Thekla take out both Brawling Birds in the same week? Or will Alex make herself a double champion?
The Death Riders speak.
Jon Moxley says he actually likes surprises. Someone like Will Ospreay, who he’s known and studied for a long time, doesn’t surprise him. Marina Shafir walks in and Moxley asks how Ospreay looked. Rough? Green around the gills? Oh, yeah. Maybe Moxley has a talent for seeing exactly how all the dominos fall, maybe he just gets lucky, or maybe he just pays more attention. But Ospreay showed Moxley his cards, they were on the table, so don’t get mad at Moxley. Contrary to popular belief, Moxley doesn’t take pleasure in the suffering of others. Though, there can be beauty in it. Moxley prefers life over death, light over darkness, but you don’t get one without the other.
What was that kid’s name again? Nick Wayne. Right, tomorrow is the biggest night of Nick’s life. Continental Championship Eliminator on Collision. Moxley doesn’t know much about Nick, so please, please, surprise him. But this is Continental Rules, adult stuff, for grownups. So please, leave Mommy in the back. Will The Prodigy prove he can man up and do things on his own? Or will Moxley just add him to the long list of names of those who can’t keep up?

Another match, another night where Willow snatches victory from the jaws of defeat! Another comeback killed, and we cut backstage to see Kris Statlander & Hikaru Shida applauding. Shida congratulates their great friend on another great victory. Doesn’t Stat agree? Shida interrupts Kris before she can even start, going on in Japanese, then goes back to English to say that last Saturday, Shida & Stat made a great team! Two AEW Originals! Kris keeps wanting to talk but Shida seems to compliment herself in Japanese. Shida says they will keep it going on Collision tomorrow night! She can’t wait! So, see you there, Kris!
Shida leaves before Kris can say anything, but will actions speak louder than words when The Galaxy’s Greatest & The Shining Samurai step back into the ring?
Backstage interview with Darby Allin.
Renee walks ‘n’ talks with the #1 contender, and says this is it: AEW World Championship. The stakes don’t get higher than this. Any last words before he goes out there? Darby wants to say something, but STING is there to see him off! “You ready?” Darby nods and says, “You got anything for me?” Sting says no, Darby already knows what to do, he just has to get out there and do it. Darby nods and fist bumps Sting. It’s showtime. No, not showtime, it’s YOUR TIME, Darby! Now, go take it. The Icon seeds Darby off, are we about to have a Relentless AEW World Champion?

Seattle EXPLODES with celebration! Because yes, Darby didn’t just win, he didn’t just win with a headlock takeover, he won to become THE AEW World Champion!! The locker room hurries out here to celebrate, from The Conglomeration to The Rascalz to The Outrunners, Brodido, JetSpeed, and The Young Bucks! Confetti flies as the pyro goes off on stage! Darby stands tall in his hometown, family and friends here to see it with their own eyes! And of course, IT’S STIIIING~! Sting howls in celebration for Darby and the fans join in! The blood, the glass, the fire, the climb, not just up Mount Everest but in AEW, it was ALL worth it! Will AEW be all in on Darby Allin?
My Thoughts:
An awesome Dynamite to not just be Spring Breakthru but to follow Dynasty. I loved how they played this with MJF and Darby Allin. MJF didn’t pay attention to anything, not even texts and calls form AEW, the entire time he was celebrating his win over Omega, so of course Darby’s challenge caught him off-guard. Now granted, I thought MJF VS Darby was going to be the main event from the start, but Bryan Danielson getting to give that news was a nice way to bring him into this. I know AEW doesn’t like to copy WWE, but there should be a GM to make these decisions. That said, I also love how they played the main event. The takeover as the pinfall was perfect, given the history between Darby and MJF, and what a great moment for Darby to celebrate with all the Faces, Sting included.
Great match from Ciampa VS Dez, and Ciampa wanting right at the top works just fine for him. Ciampa never got to be top champ on WWE main roster, or even compete for it, but he’ll make a great AEW main eventer. Great TNT Championship match from Knight VS Claudio, great win for Knight, and maybe not surprisingly, he again throws his hat into the world title picture. I feel like challengers for the TNT title should be keeping him busy instead, but maybe Ciampa VS Knight establishes a clear contender going into Double or Nothing. Great TBS Championship match from Willow VS Kamille, and Willow getting another win via backslide is good story. Her arm is bad, Kamille is tough, a quick pin teases they could do this again for Double or Nothing.
Very good promo from Kris & Shida right after the TBS title, even with it being Shida talking nonstop and Kris left uncertain about the team-up. They’ll surely win their match on Collision but I feel like the team is already going to fall apart and set up a match that sends one of them after a title. Thekla and Windsor had a very good promo, and setting up a Women’s World Championship match is great stuff. I would think Thekla cheats another win, or at least tries. Jamie Hayter could back Windsor up, only for the Sisters of Sin to complicate things. Not sure what the title match for Double or Nothing is going to be, though…
Great promo from Omega and Ospreay, great match from Ospreay VS Hechicero. It was a little scary when Doc was checking Ospreay’s neck, but maybe that was just them playing up the injury for story. And with Don Callis Family picking on Ospreay again, I wonder if Omega backs Ospreay up and they have another team-up, but against Don Callis Family. Though, that feels like rehashing old material when you think about it. Moxley had a good promo, and pretty clear he’ll beat Nick Wayne, but there might be more with Death Riders and Ospreay. I wonder if there’s a possibility of a Triple Threat Tag, Omega & Ospreay VS Moxley & Claudio VS Mark Davis & Hechicero, just so all stories can be told at once.
And very good stuff with Jericho and The Demand. Another hilarious and brilliant promo from Jericho, but of course he gets beat up 3v1. Again, Jericho either gets another faction going, reunites an old one, or at least has a team-up with someone who also dislikes The Demand. But in the end, we know this will result in Ricochet VS Jericho 1v1 again, Jericho gets his win back, and that compels a tiebreaker. Not exactly the Jericho Vortex but it’s not not the Jericho Vortex.
My Score: 9/10
