BREAKING NEWS on Samoa Joe!
While preparing for not only Hangman Page but the road back to the AEW World Championship, the Samoan Submission Specialist suffered a non-contact injury during his training. It is not clear when he will be medically cleared but we all wish Joe a full and speedy recovery.
Kenny Omega VS Rocky Romero!
The Cleaner dared The Jackal to send more of his “family” after him, so Azucar has stepped up to the plate! Will Romero make Kenny’s road back to the world title very rocky? Or are the Best Bout Machine’s best days still ahead of him?
The bell rings and Rocky runs up to fire hands right on Kenny! The fans boo as Rocky keeps on Kenny in the corner, but he backs off as the ref counts. Only for Kenny to TOSS Rocky into the corner and fire back! The fans cheer, Kenny whips corner to corner, and Kenny runs in for a BIG back elbow! Then Kenny TOSSES Rocky out, takes aim, and PLANCHAS! Down goes Rocky and even Kenny is shocked. Kenny storms up on Rocky to put him in the ring, then spots a fan’s sign that says, “I FINALLY get to see Kenny Omega! Can I get a hug?” Kenny obliges and hugs the fan! The fans cheer, and Kenny rolls into the ring after Rocky.
Kenny builds speed, then hits the KOTARO KRUSHER! And a KICK to the side for good measure! Then a SLAM DUNK! The fans fire up with Kenny while Rocky flounders to ropes. Kenny says BANG and runs, but Rocky bails out! Rocky knows Kenny’s bag of tricks well, but Kenny hurries out after Rocky. Rocky slides back in, then uses the ref as a shield! The fans boo, but Rocky KICKS low! Rocky fires hands and forearms against the ropes while the fans boo more. Rocky whips, Kenny reverses, but Rocky slides under the boot to ASAI DDT! Cover, TWO! Kenny survives but Rocky stalks him to the corner. Rocky CHOPS, then winds up.
The fans boo as Rocky hits the LARIAT! Then he LARIATS again! That’s two-ever, and Rocky runs back in, but into a BOOT! The fans fire up as Kenny drags Rocky up, brings him around, and full nelsons! Rocky breaks free, ELBOWS Kenny, then cravats! SLICED- NO, Kenny slips free of the cravat, then blocks a kick. Kenny ducks the enzigiri but not the REWIND HEEL! Kenny staggers to the corner, Rocky gives us the sliding soccer celebration, but the fans boo. BLINDSIDE V-TRIGGER! Rocky was getting cocky and Kenny made him pay! Then he hits the SNAP DRAGON SUPLEX! The fans fire up as Rocky’s back on the ropes.
The fans join in with Kenny as he says BANG, then runs to V-TRIGGER! Kenny hurries to Electric Chair Lift, ONE WINGED ANGEL! Cover, Kenny wins!
Winner: Kenny Omega, by pinfall
When it comes to the Don Callis Family, another one bites the dust! Kenny is continuing that climb, and Tony Schiavone and his volt sneakers step into the ring. Schiavone has the mic to congratulate Kenny on what was really a high stakes win. But also congratulations on being in classic wrestling shape! The fans cheer that, and Schiavone says this puts Kenny into the top four. It is Kenny, Hangman Page, and then the two men in the main event tonight, Andrade El Idolo and Swerve Strickland. Now as it stands, the last two standing will go on to Grand Slam: Australia on February 14th to fight 1v1, and the winner of that is the #1 contender, going onto Revolution in Los Angeles!
The fans cheer, and Schiavone brings us back to the main event, Swerve VS Andrade. The winner of that match faces Kenny Omega next week in Las Vegas! Big stakes for everyone involved! Kenny takes the mic to say he hates repeating himself, but he said it last week: He hasn’t felt this good in years! AEW is supposed to be where the best wrestle. The fans cheer that, and Kenny says if he didn’t feel like he’s at the top, he wouldn’t stake his name and claim a shot at MJF’s world title! So whether it is someone he hates, like Don Callis and his entire “family,” or someone that he loves, this is just business, and Kenny WILL become Heavyweight Champion of the World.
Well, speaking of the latter, here comes the Millennial Cowboy! The fans cheer as Hangman has a mic of his own as he goes to the ring, and these good friends stand across from each other again. Hangman says Kenny looks good. But look, truth be told, after all these years, Hangman would rather be fighting beside Kenny rather than against him. The fans cheer that, and Hangman says, “But… With the World Championship at stake, Kenny, then so be it. I made the mistake as world champion of looking past and looking beyond Samoa Joe & The Opps. I thought about months and months, the defenses that I would have. And I thought about defending that championship against you. I did.
“But because of Hook, and because of a kick to the balls from MJF, I lost that championship, and the chance to regain it. But this time, Kenny, this time is different! And this time, Kenny, as I hate to say it, with as much fire and passion as you have now, you will not be the next champion.” The fans are a bit torn there, but Hangman says the next champion won’t be Andrade, and it won’t be Swerve. The next AEW World Champion is going to be Hangman Adam Page! The fans are again torn, but then “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!”
The Realest has his own mic and he says, “Now excuse me for sounding like a damn broken record around here… I feel like I gotta reiterate the fact that I came back to AEW for a world championship. And ever since I came back, I have not been pinned, I am undefeated, I am not the one that was pinned in that 4 Way at World’s End. So as far as I’m concerned, I’ve got just as much right at the world championship as you do.” Swerve steps into the ring with Hangman and Kenny to tell them that his mission remains the same: He is going to come back and get that world championship.
And as the Most Dangerous Man in AEW, he doesn’t care who he has to stomp out, ravage, and go through to get what he wants! It can be against anybody, and he does mean anybody. Kenny tells Swerve that Kenny fancies himself as pretty astute at reading the room. And as much as “Hanger” and Kenny have their eyes on the prize, it feels like there’s a little bit of animosity here. It feels like that just as much as Swerve wants the belt, it sounds like he is just looking for a fight. Swerve laughs and says more than Kenny knows. These two stare down, but then Don Callis finally walks out here to say, “I have something important to say.”
The fans boo as Callis saunters out here, and he tells Swerve that he hears him talking about he’s undefeated. Well, enjoy it, because you don’t have much longer until Andrade pins you tonight! And “Lil’ Kenny,” Daddy Callis is here to tell you that when Andrade beats Swerve, he is coming for Kenny in Vegas! And as for Hangman, well, Callis hasn’t forgotten about you. Callis has something special for Hangman and EVERYONE who thought that they were going to come out here and do business! They’ll understand that the Don Callis Family runs this show! The fans boo, Hangman, Swerve, and Kenny can’t believe Callis is serious.
Callis has issued his warning, but Kenny has the music cut so he can tell Don that Don’s going on about what Swerve has to worry about, what Hangman has to worry about, and heck, even what Kenny has to worry about. Here’s the thing, Don: Maybe, just maybe, you should be worrying about yourself. Kenny rushes up the ramp! Callis runs like the coward he is, and then Hangman and Swerve take their time in following. We are counting down the minutes until the epic main event, but who will score their ticket to Dynamite in Las Vegas?
The Cosmic Babes of Wrath speak.
Harley Cameron tells Thekla that tonight, she will suffer toxic shock syndrome, courtesy of their Cosmic Killer champion, Kris Statlander! Kris says Thekla came in hot with the “very original” live long and prosper parody. It was… cute. But tonight, Thekla will live shortly and die. Willow Nightingale also puts the Sisters of Sin on notice because we all know how this will go. Julia & Skye will show their faces, then Harley & Willow will just rip them off. So how about they make a deal? This Saturday, Collision in Arlington, the Babes of Wrath put the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships on the line, so long as the Sisters of Sin stay out of Kris VS Thekla.
Harley says tonight, the itsy bitsy spider gets taken out by the Big Stat Daddy Long Legs! Get it? Let’s go! The champions of AEW are ready, but will The Triangle of Madness accept their terms?
AEW Continental Championship Eliminator: Jon Moxley VS Ace Austin!
The Maniac continues to speak on the grind and the fight that is being truly great in this great sport. Meanwhile, the Bang Bang Gang’s newest member has been building momentum of his own between Collision and ROH, so now he puts himself to the test here on Dynamite! Will Ace hit the jackpot in Austin? Or will Moxley deny The Inevitable?
The bell rings and we have twenty minutes on this. But Moxley just BOOTS Ace down! Moxley drags Ace up, CHOPS him, then puts him in the corner again to CHOP! And CHOP! Moxley CHOPS, Ace CHOPS, and repeat! The fans cheer as the CHOPS keep going, then they KICK and KICK! They trade forearms, even, and Ace wobbles. Ace kicks back, ROCKS Mox, but Mox JABS, body blows, and ROCKS him in return. Moxley whips, but Ace grabs ropes. Moxley blocks a boot, eh flips Ace to the apron, but Ace RAMS down low! Ace steps in, somersaults to wheelbarrow and arm-drag! And then DROPKICK! The fans fire up while Moxley bails out!
Ace hurries to aim, PLANCHA, but he lands safe on the apron as Moxley moves. Moxley runs up, Ace handsprings over the sweep, and then handsprings again to PENALTY KICK! The fans cheer as Ace takes aim again, but Moxley goes all the way to the railing. Ace is annoyed and hops off the apron while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Ace storms up to kick and punch away on Moxley, then he climbs up onto the railing so he can rain down fists! The fans cheer, Ace reaches TEN, then he CHOPS! Moxley staggers but he goes to the ring. Ace pursues, snapmares, and KNEES Moxley in the back. Ace wraps on a headscissors squeeze! Moxley endures, even as Ace puts on the pressure. Moxley turns Ace, pops out the back and floats to a headlock. Ace endures, rolls Moxley to a cover, TWO! Ace waistlocks, then floats to ELBOW away on Moxley! Not quite Hammer ‘n’ Anvil but he still HAMMERS Moxley down, then adds a KNEE DROP!
Moxley rises up but Ace fires more forearms. Ace KICKS Moxley’s leg, KICKS again, then fires haymakers. Moxley staggers around, but Ace KICKS him again! And DROPKICKS a leg out! Moxley sits up but Ace DECKS him! Ace clamps onto Moxley with a TRIANGLE HOLD! Moxley endures, reaches out, and Dynamite returns to single picture. The fans rally as Moxley fights around, and he stacks Ace up, TWO! Ace lets Moxley go to bring him up, but Moxley RAMS him into the corner! And RAMS him again and again! Moxley puts Ace up top to CHOP! The fans “WOO~” while Moxley climbs up. Moxley HEADBUTTS Ace, then CLAWS his back!
The ref reprimands, the fans tell Moxley he’s sick, but Moxley brings Ace up for the SUPERPLEX! A hard landing for both men and the fans fire up again! A standing count starts while both men stir. Ace goes to the opposite corner and Moxley stands at center. The fans rally up again and Moxley runs in, LARIAT! Moxley keeps moving, but Ace avoids the lariat to short arm LARIAT in return! The fans fire up while both men are down again! Both men rise up, and Ace KNEES low! Ace winds up to KICK then RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! Click click, LEG DROP! The fans fire up with Ace as he goes to the corner and takes aim!
Ace runs corner to corner, A-LIST LARIAT! Then a flurry of LARIATS in the corner! Ace goes all the way to TEN, then he shoves Moxley out. Ace steps in, but Moxley avoids the Flying Chuck! LARIAT! Moxley fires shot after shot, ROCKS Ace again, then goes corner to corner, but Ace slips through the gap! Then the step in, FLYING CHUCK connects! Cover, TWO! Moxley survives but Ace takes aim! He deals the- CUTTER!! Moxley turns things around on Ace, and now DEATH RIDER!! Cover, Moxley wins!
Winner: Jon Moxley, by pinfall (denies Ace Austin a title opportunity)
Ace took him to the limit but Moxley did not fold, and- Whoa, wait, KONOSUKE TAKESHITA is here! The Alpha storms down to the ring, perhaps in response to Moxley calling out Don Callis’ “boy” last week. Konosuke points right at the Continental Championship, reminding Moxley that Konosuke won in the round robin phase of the tournament. Moxley says he remembers, and he’ll gladly give Konosuke his shot. Konosuke nods and signals he will be champion. But wait, DAVIS & DOYLE ATTACK?! The fans boo as Davis has the SLEEPER on Moxley, then feeds him to Doyle’s FOREARM SHOT!
The fans boo as something awful just happened to The Maniac! But will Davis & Doyle make sure to bring those AEW World Tag Team Championships home to the Family? Or will FTR still be the #TopGuys?
AEW TNT Championship: Mark Briscoe VS EL CLØN w/ Don Callis!
We saw Rocky Romero fall to Kenny Omega, then saw Konosuke call out Moxley before Davis & Doyle fell the Continental Champion. Will the Don Callis Family be on the upside with taking this title back? Or will the Sussex County Chicken finally avenge the fallen Hologram?
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who will #ManUp as the Face of TNT!

One little asterisk: NOBODY from Don Callis Family this time. Briscoe’s getting tired of y’all! So with that said, anybody else! Or will Briscoe be more than ready to #ManUp all over again?
Backstage interview with Kyle Fletcher.
Renee Paquette is with the Protostar, and she brings up that he is here at the request of… Kazuchika Okada! The Rainmaker now steps into frame, and he tells Kyle that a few weeks ago, Kyle told Don that someone needed to say something to Okada. But Okada needs to say something to Kyle. When Okada took the Callis Family screwdriver at World’s End, he wasn’t thinking, he just wanted to win. Okada wanted Kyle to win, too, so he could face Kyle in the finals, keeping the Continental Championship in the family. But Okada did not mean to hurt Kyle. So Okada asked for Kyle to be here so Okada could say… He’s sorry.
Kyle says he was really, really mad at Okada after World’s End, but it takes a big man to admit his own faults. So because of that, Kyle accepts the apology. Okada and Kyle shake hands on it, and things are patched up between them. But will this help the Don Callis Family be even stronger from here on out?
MJF is here!
Austin, Texas is torn as the Scumbag AEW World Champion walks out here, mic already in hand, as he gets his pyro sparkler rain and walks down the ramp. MJF has them cut his music, then he puts his sunglasses away while the fans cheer. MJF says, “I’m just gonna be honest. Taz, why do they have us working in a dump like this? I mean, God, this place sucks! I’ll keep my composure. Okay, the champ’s speaking, that means we listen, okay? It’s not complicated. We listen.” But then BRODY KING interrupts! The fans cheer and bark but MJF demands they cut the music and quit it with the barking!
The music spots but the barking does not. MJF says, “You’d think with big-ass ears like those, you’d be able to listen. But apparently, you’re as deaf as you are big and stupid! Oh wait, time out! Time out!” Brody storms the ring but MJF goes to the far side. The fans bark more, but MJF says they can do that all they want, but is Brody gonna be a professional right now? Are they going to talk this out like men? Brody stays back, MJF steps back inside, and the fans chant for Brody. MJF tells “Bark Boy” that last week, he made it very clear that if Brody wants his shot at the best wrestler in the world and his title, he needs to beat people that matter.
And yet, here Brody is, following MJF like a lost puppy. Which makes sense! Brody followed Malakai Black around… By the way, you guys were so spooky together! It really terrified MJF how they turned lights on and off. Awe inspiring. And then, Brody started following… Buddy Matthews… A name that strikes fear into the hearts of his opponents~! How’s Buddy’s ankle, by the way? Oh, that’s right, MJF doesn’t give an F! And now, Brody follows around a guy who, much like all these fans here in Texas and watching around the world, is a complete loser in Bandido. So y’know what? MJF has an idea, “Brodster.”
Maybe Brody should follow MJF around! Hear him out. Maybe MJF will pay Brody handsomely! Brody’s big, tall, dangerous, talented. MJF could use a guy like that. Now, they’ll have to fix the… aesthetics, so to speak. No offense, but never in MJF’s life has he ever met a Liberal man who looks even more like a Nazi than a Nazi. The fans boo but MJF says he’s the one talking! But hey, we can fix this! They can get Brody a suit, a scarf, he’ll look great. Because this pipe dream Brody has of winning the title, or even just beating MJF, that’s cute, but that’s all it is: a dream. The fans boo, but MJF says the reality here is…
That in order to be champion of the world and hold the most prestigious title that there is, you need to be a leader like MJF. And sadly, Brody, just like all these shmucks, you are nothing more than a follower. The fans boo more, but Brody gets a mic of his own. Brody tells MJF, “First off, I don’t need to follow anybody. What you just described throughout my career is what’s called, ‘friends.'” The fans cheer that. Brody says that is something MJF has, in his entire life, never really had. Last Wednesday, MJF said Brody hasn’t beaten anyone credible enough to make a case. And y’know what? That’s fair.
So Brody sat down with Tony Khan, and they both thought… Who would be an opponent that would best prepare Brody for a world title match? And y’know who they chose? MJF! The fans cheer that! MJF is confused, but Brody pats him on the shoulder. Follow Brody on this, MJF: Next week, Las Vegas, Title Eliminator Match. And when Brody beats MJF, he’ll earn his title shot for Grand Slam: Australia! Then Brody will become the leader that AEW NEEDS! Brody barks right in MJF’s face, the fans join in, and MJF’s jaw almost hits the floor! The Scumbag stuck his foot in his mouth and didn’t even know it! But will Brody’s fist get in there, too? Or can The Devil survive in Sin City?
The Young Bucks speak.
As we watch a highlight reel of the aftermath that was their losing EVP status (and wealth), Nick Jackson says that humbling was what they needed. Matt adds that sometimes, a power trip takes you nowhere. Now, it is time to go back to their roots. Tassels, superkicks, and the superkick party! This goes to the entire AEW Tag Division: You are all on notice, and it all starts in Las Vegas. It is time to get back to what made The Young Bucks THE Young Bucks. So you are all cordially invited to the SUPERKICK PARTAAAAY~! Who will be the first “guests” when Dynamite arrives in Vegas?
AEW Women’s World Championship: Kris Statlander VS Thekla!
The Cosmic Killer and the Toxic Spider went back and forth verbally, but it was the chaotic way in which the Triangle of Madness won their Six Woman Tag that granted Thekla the golden ticket to this title match. The time for talk is over, because actions speak louder than words! Will Thekla catch Big Stat Daddy in her web? Or will Kris crush this eight legged freak?
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who’s the most toxic!
The bell rings and the fans rally as Kris and Thekla stare down. They slowly step up, and Thekla offers a handshake? The fans know not to trust that, but Kris takes Thekla at her word. Kris slowly reaches out, but Thekla leaves her hanging to again mock the Vulcan hand sign. The fans boo while Thekla laughs, but then Thekla SLAPS Kris! But Kris doesn’t budge! Thekla is rather surprised to see that, and she scurries away before Kris can grab her! The fans boo but Kris waits on Thekla since there’s Champion’s Advantage. Thekla takes her time but she returns to the ring, and the two reset. They approach but Thekla avoids the grapple.
Thekla takes a swing, but Kris blocks it! Kris ROCKS Thekla, CHOPS Thekla, then whips. Thekla goes Spider-Woman in the ropes, hanging upside-down even as she taunts Kris. Kris runs up, Thekla sits up to dodge the baseball slide, and then Thekla RAMS Kris, only for Kris to catch her! Kris CLUBS away on Thekla, then GUILLOTINE LEG DROPS! The fans fire up while Kris flexes and Thekla flops. Kris drags Thekla up, brings her around, and suplexes Thekla up! The fans cheer as Kris keeps Thekla up for TEN before the SLAM on the floor! Kris leaves Thekla behind to refresh the ring count before standing her back up.
Thekla kicks again, but Kris blocks! Kris trips Thekla, then has the legs to CATAPULT her into steel steps! Thekla slumps down while the fans fire up again. Kris drags Thekla up, puts her in the ring, and flexes again. The fans cheer, but Thekla runs up to BOOT Kris to the floor! The fans boo but Thekla grins while Kris sputters. Thekla goes to the apron, then leaps to DOUBLE STOMP Kris down! Kris writhes while Thekla paces, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Thekla gets the fans heated up while she waits on the ref to check Kris. Kris clutches her back but she’s not giving up, so Thekla goes into the ring. Thekla then slides back out so she can drag Kris up and whip her into the steps! Kris hits hard and tumbles over the steps! Thekla mocks Kris’ pain while Kris goes to the barriers. Thekla storms up on Kris, drags her up, and waves to the fans before she whips Kris hard into railing! Thekla soaks up the cheers and jeers before she drags Kris back up. Thekla puts Kris in the ring, talks some trash, then stalks Kris. Cover, ONE! Another cover, TWO! Thekla is frustrated as she goes for a third cover, TWO!
Kris snarls as she toughs it out, but Thekla stomps her down. Thekla kicks Kris, looms over her, then brings her around for a neck wrench! Kris endures even as Thekla brings her up by her hair. Thekla snapmares Kris, then basement SUPERKICKS! Kris sputters, Thekla kneels for a cocky cover, TWO! Thekla kicks Kris around, then clamps on for a CROSSFACE! But she also FISHHOOKS Kris’ mouth! The ref reprimands, Thekla stops, and Dynamite returns to single picture. Thekla stands Kris up, but Kris ROCKS her! The fans fire up as Kris puts Thekla up top, but Thekla catches her for the HANGING HEADSCISSORS!
The fans are torn, but the ref counts. But wait, Kris drags Thekla into the ring, REVERSE ALABAMA SLAM into the buckles! The fans fire up again while Thekla sputters. Kris runs in and LARIATS! Then a whip corner to corner, and Kris runs in again for an UPPERCUT! Then she goes side to side to KNEE WASH! Kris isn’t stopping there, she hooks a leg, FISHERMAN DRIVER! Cover, TWO! Thekla survives but Kris is actually amused by that! Kris fireman’s carries Thekla, but Thekla fights to the apron! Thekla ducks a haymaker to HOTSHOT back! The fans are torn but Thekla has Kris in the ropes to then BOOT her back down!
Thekla climbs, aims, but Kris avoids the leap! LARIAT! Kris then drags Thekla right into the drop zone and goes up top! The fans cheer but Thekla already rises. Thekla SLAPS Kris to sit her down! Thekla then climbs up the corner to the very top, hooks up in the ropes, and she tells Kris, “Here we go, champ!” Thekla ROCKS Kris with a forearm, then brings her up. SIPDER SUPERPLEX! Kris flounders while Thekla smiles upside-down. Thekla then sits back up, takes aim again, and SUPER CROSSBODIES! Down goes Kris and the fans fire up! Thekla is feeling it as she stands back up and pounds the commentary desk!
Thekla puts Kris in the ring, covers, ONE?!? Kris survives and now Thekla’s amused! Thekla runs, Kris dodges, and Kris UPPERCUTS! Kris runs, but Thekla SPEARS outta nowhere!! But she can’t make the cover! Thekla crawls, she and Kris get forehead to forehead, and the fans rally up again. Kris fires the first SLAP, then the next! Thekla stands up to wind up and SPIT at Kris! Then she ducks, dodges, and tilt-o-whirls into the IRON OCTOPUS!! Or perhaps a BLACK WIDOW STRETCH! Kris endures, so Thekla YANKS the arm! Then CURB STOMPS! Cover, TWO!! Now Thekla is pissed, and she aims from the corner!
Kris rises slowly as Thekla does the Spider-Walk! The fans fire up as Thekla aims and- SUPERKICK from kris! Gut wrench and the tuck, but Thekla wriggles down to victory roll! TWO!! Kris escapes, spins, but Thekla goes Matrix to avoid the discus! Kris hits buckles, Thekla runs in, but Kris snatches her! Gut wrench and BABE WITH THE POWER BOMB?!? And then the gut wrench, tuck, STATURDAY NIGHT FEVER!! Cover, Kris wins!!
Winner: Kris Statlander, by pinfall (still AEW Women’s World Championship)
The Cosmic Killer shouts out her bestie as part of the finish, and speaking of, Willow & Harley join Kris to celebrate! But wait, Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford walk out on stage. The Megasus & Superbad Girl are perhaps putting all three champions on notice, wanting all that same gold. And given the deal, Julia & Skye behaved themselves, meaning they get their own shot at the Women’s World Tag Team Championships. Will the Sisters of Sin redeem the Triangle of Madness this Saturday on Collision? Or will everyone #FeelTheWarth?
The Don Callis Family regroups backstage.
Don Callis stands with #ProtoShita and says The DCF has been in heavy recruitment mode for some time. And now, it is time to mobilize those resources to bring gold home to Daddy. Andrade has already declared himself for THE AEW World Championship, and he will be one step closer to that after he defeats Swerve Strickland. Okada-san is still the AEW International Champion, and Takeshita made it very clear: He beat Moxley before, he looks to do it again. His performance was fantastic. The only thing keeping Takeshita from bringing that title home is… a word of advice. Take Kyle’s lead here, and just like he did, Takeshita should forgive Okada.
And speaking of Kyle, he is synonymous with the TNT Championship. If you looked in a dictionary, Kyle’s picture would be right next to the word, “TNT.” And whatever happens with that ingrate, Mark Briscoe, and that Ciampa, understand one thing: Kyle BAH GAWD Fletcher is waiting on the other side to bring the TNT title home to the DCF! And speaking of titles, Davis & Doyle are about to squash FTR! Callis will make himself a martini and tune in. Kyle says yes, please enjoy. Callis heads out, leaving ProtoShita to talk. Konosuke asks if Kyle really forgave Okada. Kyle wants “Take” to understand, but Konosuke storms off. Is the dysfunction only going to get worse?
The Demand speaks.
Ricochet makes sure the camera is just right as he tells all his “Frequent Fliers” out there, this is your captain speaking. Originally, we were meant to hear from “Jungle” Jack Perry, but it would seem he’s a little preoccupied. Ricochet shows that Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona have Jack caught and tied up! But wait, Jack breaks loose! Jack jumps onto Liona for a SLEEPER! Ricochet panics but Kaun CLUBS Jack down. And then THROWS him into spare railing! Ricochet mockingly says let’s get that interview now that Jack has time to talk. Ricochet asks Jack what he was thinking in trying to threaten Ricochet last week.
Jack shoves Ricochet, but Liona drags him right up to THROW him into a spare barrier! Ricochet again continues this mock interview by asking what Jack was thinking claiming he’d take the AEW National Championship. Oh, well, he doesn’t seem interested in answering any questions. But in the meantime, get him up! The Gates stand Jack up, then lift him up! Ricochet tells Jack that this is what happens when you try to take what is Ricochet’s! CLOSE THE GATES through the table! Ricochet sends things back to commentary, AHA~! The Demand strikes first, but will Jungle Jack have the last laugh?
AEW World Tag Team Championships: FTR w/ Stokely Hathaway VS Mark Davis & Jake Doyle w/ Don Callis!
While Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood just keep adding to their tag team legacy, they don’t really take this team made from thin air and beefy muscles very seriously. Will nothing end FTR’s historic third reign as AEW’s best tag team? Or will Davis & Doyle take the #TopGuysOut?
The introductions are made, the belts are raised, and we see who really dominates this division!
The teams sort out and Doyle starts against Cash. The fans rally, the two tie up, and Doyle SHOVES Cash to a corner. Doyle eggs Cash on, he and Cash tie up, then Cash headlocks. Doyle powers up and out, Cash RAMS him, but Doyle doesn’t budge! Cash runs, Doyle scoops, but Cash slips free. Cash shoves Doyle, but Doyle RUNS Cash over! And RUNS Cash over, and RUNS Cash over! The fans fire up as Doyle keeps moving! Cash drops down, but Doyle BODY CHECKS him on the return! The fans cheer but Dax is upset. Doyle whips Cash hard to the corner, tags Davis, and they double whip Cash to DOUBLE SHOUDLER TACKLE!
The fans rally as Davis brings Cash up, but Cash RAMS him into the FTR corner! Tag to Dax and FTR mugs Davis! The fans boo and the ref reprimands, but Cash stops. Dax steps in, headlocks, but Davis powers up and out. Davis and Dax RAM shoulders, then Davis CHOPS Dax off his feet! The fans fire up while Dax sputters away to the corner. Davis storms up, CHOPS Dax, then CHOPS again! The fans fire up with Davis, but Dax CHOPS! And CHOPS! And CHOPS! Davis CHOPS back, Dax CHOPS again, but Davis scoops, SLAMS, and SENTONS! The fans are loving it while Dax sputters! Davis runs up on Cash, but Cash DUMPS him out!
Doyle runs in, Cash DUMPS him out, then Cash builds speed! Cash DIVES, but the big men catch him! and LAWN DART him into Dax! The fans fire up as D&D stand tall over FTR while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
D&D fetch FTR, and Stokely stays back, though he’s in his tricked out wheelchair so there’s not much he can do anyway. Doyle puts Cash in the ring while Davis CLUBS and CHOPS Dax against barriers. Davis even DUMPS Dax into the crowd before he CHOPS again! Davis then drags Dax back over barriers to CLUB him down! Davis throws the chair aside just so he can put Dax in the ring. Davis storms in and puts Dax in a corner to CHOP! Davis whips corner to corner hard and Dax falls back from the buckles. Cover, TWO! Davis drags Dax up, tags Doyle, and they mug Dax. Doyle LARIATS Dax in the corner, then whips him corner to corner!
Doyle runs up, Dax ELBOWS back and fires off CHOPS! Dax bumps Doyle off buckles, tags Cash, and snap suplexes Doyle down! Cash gets a boost in the SLINGSHOT SPLASH! Cover, ONE!! Doyle is tougher than that, but Cash basement DROPKICKS him down! Cash jump stomps away at the ropes, then rains down fists. The ref reprimands, Cash stops to bring Doyle up, and he bumps Doyle off buckles. Tag to Dax and he CHOPS! Dax ROCKS Doyle, but Doyle puts him in the DCF corner! D&D mug Dax, then Davis throws haymakers. Davis puts Dax in the open corner, CHOKES him, then stops at 4.
Davis whips but Dax blocks by holding ropes! Davis still tries but Dax still holds on. Davis CHOPS Dax, whips, but Davis blocks again! Dynamite returns as Dax and Davis CHOP back and forth! The “WOO~” echoes out with every CHOP! These two just aren’t stopping and the fans love it! Dax has a bloody chest from CHOP after CHOP! Davis whips, but Dax wrenches to short arm LARIAT! Davis doesn’t fall, so Dax LARIATS again! Davis BOOTS Dax, Dax SWATS a lariat to JAB and LARIAT! But Davis ENZIGIRIS! Then the rebound and LARIAT!! Cash hurries in, dodges Doyle, but Doyle jumps, into the POWERSLAM!
Cash fires up, the fans are with him, but Doyle is right back up! BODY CHECK! Doyle fires up and the fans cheer him on now! Doyle vows to end this with Davis! They get FTR up, and Doyle runs in for a DOUBLE SPLASH! Davis adds a DOUBLE SPLASH! The fans fire up and Doyle puts Dax up top. Doyle ROCKS Dax again and again, then climbs up. Doyle brings Dax up, but Cash YANKS Doyle down! And DDT off the apron! Davis LARIATS Cash for that, then goes up after Dax himself! But Dax slips under, trips Davis up, and he goes up to get behind Davis. They go to the very top, for a SUPER DUPER BACK SUPLEX!! Cash goes up to add the GLORY!! Cover, TWO?!?
Davis survives and the fans fire up but Stoke is upset with the ref! FTR regroups to get Davis up, and they whip for the- NO, Davis BOOTS Dax and LARIATS Cash out! Then Davis has the SLEEPER on Dax! Dax RAMS Davis into buckles, but Davis holds on! Davis uses the buckles to kick back but Davis just holds on tight! Dax is fading, Cash is climbing up, but who is this getting on the apron? Is that Daniel Garcia? The Death Riders are here at ringside as Dax FLINGS Davis out! Garcia distracts the ref so that Moxley can CLOBBER Davis with the Continental Championship! Payback for the sneak attack earlier!
The fans are torn, but Davis staggers up into a SHATTER MACHINE!! Cover, FTR wins!
Winners: FTR, by pinfall (still AEW World Tag Team Champions)
Stokely is starting to change his opinion on Moxley thanks to this assist. Moxley sent a message back to the Don Callis Family that if you go after him and his, you better make sure it’s permanent. Will The Jackal have something to say about this? As for FTR, will they continue to survive through this third reign?
Backstage interview with Orange Cassidy.
Renee Paquette is with Freshly Squeezed and says she is glad to catch up with him. She would love to talk the ongoing saga with The Death Riders, and specifically, his history with Wheeler Yuta. Cassidy says it feels like forever but it’s been just five years. To think back on where Yuta was five years ago and to see where he is now… Who is that? He is unrecognizable! Look at that dumb, bushy beard! And that hair that’s a little too long to be cool but not so long that- Yuta steps in and tells Cassidy he can’t believe this is what they’re resorting to now. Sure, Cassidy doesn’t like the Death Riders or how Yuta gets the job done, but now he’s insulting personal appearances?
What? Should Yuta get himself a “Canadian tuxedo” (all denim outfit) like Cassidy? Maybe slick his hair back? Marina even GRABS Cassidy by the hair! But then TONI STORM storms in! And she tells Marina that Marina is like a dose of The Clap. No one knows how she got here but she needs to just go away. Marina asks Toni, “Do you need some more milk? Or would you like me to send your girlfriend some more flowers?” Toni says she needs Marina to piss off! Because when Toni and “Citrus Boy” meet Marina in that four poster, Marina’s gonna be in some deep s*it!! Marina says she’s ready for that.
Security hurries over to separate everyone, and Toni tangos with Cassidy as they exit. Renee is at a loss for words, but will we only need body language to understand this one?
BREAKING NEWS for Collision!
Darby Allin said he is not going to stop taking risks, so he’s going to take on Unbound Company’s Clark Connors 1v1! Will Darby prove he’s relentless after this Collision? Or will it only take a Jeep Flipper and No Chaser to wake Darby up? Plus, CRU called out The Rascalz, so the Rascalz they shall get! Lio Rush & Action Andretti VS Dezmon Xavier & Zachary Wentz, who proves they are the real must-see kids? And don’t forget, Briscoe VS Ciampa for the TNT Championship and Babes of Wrath VS Sisters of Sin for the Women’s Tag Team Championships! It’s a Texas sized Collision for their Arlington residency finale, but who survives the weekend?
AEW World Championship #1 Contender’s Stakes: Andrade El Idolo VS Swerve Strickland w/ Prince Nana!
La Sombra called out The Realest last week, and it was Tony Khan who upped the ante! The winner here moves on to Dynamite in Las Vegas to face Kenny Omega, and the winner of that goes on to Grand Slam: Australia to face Hangman Page for the right to be THE #1 contender! But will the night have a tranquilo ending? Or will Austin be Swerve’s House?
The bell rings and Callis of course rejoins commentary for this, suddenly back to speaking Espanol badly. Then he insults Nana, saying he shouldn’t even be out here, he barely does anything. Swerve and Andrade circle while the fans chant, “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” Andrade laughs that off as he and Swerve circle. They tie up, are in a deadlock, and Andrade headlocks. Swerve powers up but can’t power out, and now fans chant for “I-DO-LO! I-DO-LO!” Swerve powers up and powers out this time, but Andrade RUNS him over, then cocky covers! Swerve is up before a count even starts, and he says it’s gonna be like that, huh?
Swerve and Andrade start pushing, and the fans fire up as the pushing becomes forearms! Swerve KNEES low, whips, but Andrade reverses. Andrade hurdles, Swerve cartwheels over, and Swerve RANAS, but Andrade handsprings through! Andrade RANAS, but Swerve handsprings through! Swerve picks a leg, rolls with Andrade, but Andrade avoids the House Call! The fans fire up as Andrade backs off and Swerve smirks. Swerve says it was that close, and the fans cheer “A E DUB!” for making this match possible. Andrade and Swerve reset, circle, and feel things out. They knuckle lock, and Andrade kicks low!
Andrade CHOPS, CHOPS, and he puts Swerve in a corner. Andrade whips, Swerve reverses and UPPERCUTS! Swerve snapmares Andrade and goes up, but Andrade tranquilos! The fans cheer as Andrade grins, but Swerve still jumps. Swerve blocks the boots, they knuckle lock and teetertotter for Andrade to go up, up, and he YANKS Swerve up to join him! But Swerve uses that to jump up and RANA! The fans fire up while Andrade bails out! Swerve builds speed and FOSBURY FLOPS, only for Andrade to duck under! Swerve manages to tumble through, but Andrade sends him into the steel steps! The fans are torn while Swerve writhes.
Andrade flexes, then he swaggers his way over. Oh, Andrade takes a picture with a new female fan. She’s a bit more forward as she gives Andrade her number, and even kisses the napkin as an extra little memento. Andrade tucks that away for later, then goes back to Swerve while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Andrade fireman’s carries Swerve for SNAKE EYES off the steps! Swerve staggers away but Andrade pushes him into the ring. Andrade pushes Swerve to a cover, TWO! Swerve toughs it out but Andrade clamps onto him with a chinlock. Swerve endures the grind while Nana rallies the fans. Andrade shakes his head but Swerve fights up. Nana coaches Swerve and Swerve stands, but Andrade THROWS him down by his hair! Swerve goes to a corner while the ref reprimands, but Andrade takes his time taking off his gloves. Andrade stomps a mudhole into Swerve, but he stops as the ref counts. Andrade then steps up to CHOP!
Swerve turns things around to ROCK and CHOP Andrade on repeat! Andrade fires back with knees and CHOPS, and Swerve sputters against ropes. Andrade stands Swerve up to snapmare and chinlock. Andrade grinds Swerve down again but Swerve still endures. Again Nana coaches Swerve and again Swerve fights to his feet. Dynamite returns to single picture as Swerve fires body shots. Swerve whips Andrade away to a corner, then he runs in, only for Andrade to put him on the apron. Swerve ROCKS Andrade, but Andrade DECKS Swerve! The fans rally, Andrade builds speed, TRIANGLE JUMP TORNILLO!
The fans are thunderous for that one, and Andrade puts Swerve back in the ring. Andrade goes up, up, and MOONSAULT DOUBLE! Cover, TWO! Swerve survives and Nana is relieved but Andrade is frustrated. The fans rally and duel while Andrade brings Swerve up. Swerve ROCKS Andrade! And ROCKS him again, and again, then runs. But Andrade BOOTS him against the ropes! Andrade watches Swerve tumble out, so he goes up the corner! But Swerve hurries up and ROCKS Andrade first! Then Swerve fireman’s carries Andrade off the corner, to APRON DEATH VALLEY DRIVER!! The fans fire up while Andrade writhes on the floor!
Swerve snarls as he shakes out his arm and goes over to Andrade. Swerve drags Andrade up, puts him in the ring, then drags him back out so he can put him on the barrier! The fans fire up while Swerve climbs up to join him, ready to do him like he did Kevin Knight! But Andrade fights the lift to BACKDROP Swerve on the barrier! The fans lose their minds while both men fall down, but Swerve clutches his back while Andrade crutches his ungovernables! That landing was not tranquilo… “This is Awesome!” as the ring count climbs. We pass 5 of 10, but both men rise up at 7! They manage to stand at 8, and they LEAP in at 9.9! The fans cheer as the match continues!
Swerve and Andrade rise up slowly, and they stare down as they do. “This is Awesome!” as the forearms start flying back and forth! Swerve SOBATS, HAYMAKERS, then ROLLING- NO, Andrade ROCKS Swerve first! Andrade fires boxing elbows, then fires up to underhook! Swerve fights the Message to wrench and ELBOW! Then Swerve runs, but into the SHADOW ELBOW!! Both men are down but Andrade manages to cover, TWO!! Swerve gets his arm up just in time and the fans are loving this! Callis is, too, oddly. The fans hope these two “FIGHT FOREVER!” but the show’s gotta end somehow! The dueling returns while Nana coaches Swerve.
Andrade rises, the fans clap along, and Andrade goes corner to corner and back again, into a JUMPING HOUSE CALL!?!? Cover, TWO?!?! Andrade survives and shocks everyone! Swerve snarls and goes to the corner. Swerve climbs, but Andrade trips him up! Andrade CLUBS Swerve, climbs up after him, then fires more hands. Andrade shifts around, “This is Awesome!” as Andrade climbs onto Swerve! SUPER POISON-RANA!!! And then Swerve ends up in a corner! CIEN KNEES!! Cover, TWO?!?!? Swerve survives, the fans can’t believe it, but Andrade skips that for LA SOMBRA DDT!!! Cover, TWO??!?!? HOW?!?!?
The fans are thunderous for “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” Callis says Aubrey Edwards failed math if she can’t count to three! Andrade underhooks but Swerve fights with all his might! Trip and jackknife, TWO! SHADOW EL- NO! Half nelson fir BIG PRESS- VICTORY ROLL! TWO!!! Both men stand, HOUSE CALL!!! But Swerve isn’t satisfied, he adds the BIG- NO, Andrade grabs at Aubrey! She gets away, but misses the LOW BLOW MULE KICK!! The fans boo but Andrade hits the DIRECT MESSAGE!! Cover, Andrade wins!!
Winner: Andrade El Idolo, by pinfall (advances to next week)
Callis loves it! El Idolo took the low road, but now he’s meeting another of his nemeses in Kenny Omega for another high stakes match! Will Andrade make things tranquilo in Vegas? Or will the Latin Idol not survive Sin City?
Renee is quickly with MJF to get his response to this development. Andrade VS Kenny, MJF VS Brody, how is he feeling? MJF chuckles and says he’ll explain something to us: “That oversized bag of milk with sharpie written all over him thinks he can beat the world champion. He’s got another thing coming. It’s not happen-” But then Kenny walks in! And he tells MJF, “Where are my manners? Look, I should’ve said hi to you earlier, but I just wanted you to know… One more week, one more win. And then I’ll see you for that at Revolution. So here’s to our future title match.” Omega offers a handshake, but MJF leaves him hanging.
MJF turns around and walks away, only for Andrade to be walking back in through the curtain. El Idolo and The Devil stare down. Andrade says he’d slap MJF right now if he could. But first, he’ll get the title. MJF keeps on moving, AEW Media following, and we go to the parking lot. MJF’s ride is waiting, but before he can open the door, Hangman Page is there! The Cowboy looks at MJF, and then the belt, then nods to the car. MJF gets in the car and tells the driver to go. The car takes off real fast into the night, and Hangman Page has a smirk on his face. Is the Scumbag finally feeling the pressure now that the walls are closing in?
My Thoughts:
A great Dynamite here, at least when it comes to action. I don’t want to say “typical,” but it does seem to happen a noticeable amount of times that Tony Khan doesn’t fully think things through. He basically gave us a tournament without giving us a tournament. Granted, maybe he was gonna give us a tournament before Samoa Joe went down with an injury during training, because Joe VS Hangman would’ve been some awesome stuff for either tonight or Collision this Saturday. But great promo from Schiavone with Kenny to help kick off the explanation on how things are going, and Hangman basically gets the bye cuz no Joe, and he already beat Shibata before.
Great promo from MJF and Brody, and them setting up a Title Eliminator was a natural move. Honestly, I feel like Brody should win the Eliminator so that we can get MJF VS Brody for Australia and add to that night. Then it at least teases the possibility of Brody VS Hangman/Omega, though those still aren’t very likely. Andrade VS Swerve was a great main event, but given this was leading to a match with Kenny, it makes sense that Andrade won. And the ending segment was great to tease all the possibilities for MJF. Depending on how they play this, they can detour Hangman away from the title by having Joe interfere so they can finally settle things at Revolution.
Awesome match from Kris VS Thekla, and I did appreciate they put the tag title deal forth. Granted, I don’t see Skye & Julia winning the tag titles on a Collision. Plus, Megan and Penelope just made their interests known: All the belts. They would of course be a Two Woman (Goddess?) Power Trip, Megan as the world champion, Penelope as the TBS. Granted, one of those is likelier than the other, and it’s Megan overpowering Kris. As I’ve said before, the tag title match should be for Grand Slam Australia. Harley & Willow can win big over Megan & Penelope in front of Harley’s family and friends, and then we get Megan VS Kris and Penelope VS Willow for Revolution.
Good promo from The Young Bucks but it feels like a week late. I get the nature of their surprise return to help Jack Perry with The Demand, but then this promo should’ve been the very next show. And very good beatdown style promo from The Demand and Jack Perry, but something about it also felt out of place. Why not have this happen on Collision last Saturday after Jack had his promo warning Ricochet? It’s almost like admitting Collision isn’t watched by many, or doesn’t matter, or both. That aside, this makes me think Jack is definitely taking the AEW National Championship so he can do some traveling to other promotions, too.
Don Callis Family was super busy tonight. Rocky of course lost to Kenny, but then we ran into more of the odd decisions by TK. Moxley VS Ace was a great match, and as great as Ace is, Moxley winning made sense. Konosuke confronting him for the Continental title also makes sense, and even Davis & Doyle attacking Moxley on Konosuke’s behalf made sense, until we didn’t have the tag title match right then. Granted, waiting on the tag title match gave Moxley kayfabe-believable time to recover and come back with the Death Riders. But maybe that could’ve still happened regardless. Also maybe it would’ve saved Doyle’s bicep, which he tore during the match. AEW’s injury bug is more like an injury curse and no one wants to address the elephant in the room.
Even considering the bicep tear and overbooking, a great tag match from FTR VS D&D, and now there’s more heat between Death Riders and DCF. Conglomeration seems to be feuding with both those factions at the same time, though. Cassidy & Toni had a very good promo from Marina & Yuta, that is clearly our mixed tag match, and I wonder if Mina Shirakawa gets involved to “accidentally” cost Toni & Cassidy. Briscoe VS CLON was an awesome match, and an awesome showing for Clon, but his win streak is over already. But as I’ve said before, Clon ended up in a bad situation after Hologram’s injury, and this was good enough for now.
The big stuff from the Don Callis Family was the sibling rivalry of Okada and Takeshita taking another twist where Kyle is stuck in the middle again. Again, a Don Callis Family Civil War is coming, and it feels like Kyle is the tiebreaker in that situation. Whichever side he chooses (and he should choose Konosuke) wins out in the end.
My Score: 8.9/10

PLAY BY PLAY
Adam Copeland is here!
The fans fire up and sing along as The Rated R Superstar makes his entrance, complete with the pyro but also a black eye. Cope goes to the ring, he grabs a mic, and he tells Seattle, “If you couldn’t tell, Dynasty on Sunday didn’t necessarily go our way. Yes, my face got messed up, way to go, Einstein. I got glue in my forehead, staples in my forehead, I got a shiner. Let’s face it, FTR… They said what they were gonna do and they did it.” The fans boo but Cope says they got to Christian, too, that’s why he’s not here. Christian’s gotta get an MRI on his forearm to see if it’s broke. The fans also boo that.
Cope says FTR gave his wife a piledriver. They took Christian’s watch! And in Christian’s world, that’s actually worse! There are three things you don’t mess with when it comes to Christian: His watch, his wine, and his women. In that order. But FTR, on Dynamite, you came out and said that while you’re the champions, Cope & Cage will not get another title shot. The fans boo again, but Cope says he is cooking an idea on that so bear with him. But if FTR thinks that this is just about titles, that C&C are just gonna walk away cuz they didn’t win at Dynasty, they’ve watched C&C’s careers and think that these two are just gonna walk away?
Do you think that they’re just gonna tuck their tails and run? The fans say “NO!” Cope says that is NOT what they do! Christian was forced to retire for seven YEARS! He busted his ass and he got this back! The fans cheer that, and Cope says he was retired for NINE YEARS, told he can never do this again because if he fell over, he could die! But Cope is standing here, full o’ piss ‘n’ vinegar! C&C are like dogs on a bone, and they will END FTR and take their pound of flesh! The fans cheer, but then FTR makes their way out here. Cope is ready to fight, but where are they? FTR walks out on stage, and Stoke has the mic as he smiles at Cope.
But then RPG VICE rush Cope, just like last week! Cope is ready this time and he fights off Rocky & Trent, but now FTR joins in! The fans boo this 4v1 mugging with Stoke cheering them on! But wait! The Young Bucks rush out here! Matt & Nick Jackson rush the ring, and they dodge FTR to CLOBBER RPG Vice! Then DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for FTR! RPG Vice go after The Bucks, then send them at each other! The Bucks reverse to LARIAT Rocky, then they DOUBLE SUPERKICK Trent! Cope SPEARS Trent down and the fans fire up! Cope snarls as he stands back up, and he shakes hands with The Bucks as thanks for the help.
Cope & The Bucks stare FTR down as FTR retreats, but will The Bucks and C&C have to fight it out to go after those tag team championships?
Jack Perry speaks.
“At Dynasty, I got my first taste of what it’s like to defend this championship. And it’s exactly what I’ve been waiting for. But Don Callis, you only got close enough to get a sniff, because I beat your biggest, baddest and most dangerous, Mark Davis. But after what you just did to the Young Bucks, well, I wanna shove this up your big, stupid, spray-tanned nose. So why don’t you go ahead and pick your favorite goon out of the bunch and meet me next week in Portland so that I can add another notch to my belt as the National Champion.” Jungle Jack has thrown out the challenge, but who will be up to the task?
The Young Bucks VS The Rascalz!
Matt & Nick got a warm-up in with that brawl, but now it’s time to go to work. Will Spring Breakthru turn into a Superkick Party? Or will Zachary Wentz & Myron Reed light it up?

Mina steps in, and tells Stat sorry, but she’s specifically here for Shida. Mina tells Shida that uh duh, she knows Japanese, too! So Mina knows exactly what Shida said about Harley. AND a kendo stick was left behind in Toni Storm’s locker room! Mina isn’t sure what Shida is up top, but she does NOT trust her. Oh, is that so? Shida tells “Shirakawa-san” in Japanese that it must be nice to get this far just on looks! Mina is pissed but Kris keeps the peace.
Shida storms off, and Mina tells Kris to not trust Shida. Kris storms off, too, but could Mina have a point? Could Shida have taken out Toni Storm to clear room for herself at the top?
AEW Women’s World Championship: Thekla VS Alex Windsor!
The Toxic Spider took another shortcut to shortchange an opponent when she snuck one on Jamie Hayter at Dynasty. Iron Will Windsor wants to avenge her best mate, but will she make herself a double champion in the process? Or will Thekla take out two Brawling Birds in one week?
The introductions are made, the AEW belt is raised, and we see who survives this Collision!
The bell rings and the fans rally up as the two circle. Windsor runs up, Thekla dodges, and Thekla swaggers around. Windsor shrugs that off to try again, but Thekla dodges again. Thekla swaggers her way out of the ring, but Windsor pursues! The cat ‘n’ mouse game goes around the way, and Thekla attacks as Windsor slides in! Thekla whips, Windsor reverses, but Thekla slips around to shove Windsor, only for Windsor to RUN her over! The fans cheer as Windsor keeps after Thekla with a rain of fists! Windsor then stands Thekla up to CHOP against the ropes! Windsor whips Thekla to ropes, but Thekla bails out!
Thekla ducks a shot to ROCK Windsor, then she climbs up as the fans rally. Thekla leaps, but Windsor gets clear! Windsor runs up, and she LARIATS Thekla down! The fans fire up while Thekla is dazed, but Windsor hauls Thekla up for a suplex! The fans duel as Windsor aims, and she runs up again, to wrench and RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! Then a BASEMENT LARIAT! Cover, TWO! Thekla survives but Windsor keeps on her. Thekla kicks and flails to make the ROPEBREAK, and Windsor lets go. Thekla bails out again, but Windsor goes to the apron. Thekla runs away, denying Windsor her aerial attack.
Windsor just changes course, kicks, but Thekla blocks! Thekla YANKS Windsor down, then steps back inside. Thekla runs up on Windsor to BOOT her to the floor! Windsor tumbles but Thekla grins as the fans duel. Thekla goes up the corner now, and she aims at Windsor for a SUPER DUPER CROSSBODY! Direct hit and down goes Windsor! Thekla grins again while Collision goes picture in picture.
Thekla taunts Windsor before she drags her up. Thekla then THROWS Windsor into railing! Windsor sputters and writhes but Thekla refreshes the ring count. Thekla then drags Windsor up, makes her take a seat, then climbs up to rain down fists! The fans count along, and Thekla goes all the way to TEN! Or maybe “zehn?” Either way, Thekla reels Windsor in, only for Windsor to RAM her into the railing! Windsor fires off fists, then climbs up to rain them down! Windsor definitely goes to TEN, then brings Thekla around to whip hard into the apron! Windsor CHOPS Thekla, but Thekla whips Windsor into barriers!
Windsor falls in a heap, and Thekla soaks up the cheers and jeers. The ref wants this back in the ring so Thekla leaves Windsor behind for the count. Windsor slowly rises up, and she rolls into the ring at 8. Thekla CLUBS Windsor down, steps on her face, but steps off as the ref counts. Thekla then drops onto Windsor for the CROSSFACE! Windsor endures, fights up and around, but Thekla lets go to CLUB Windsor. Windsor fires body shots in return and backs Thekla to a corner. Windsor runs up, but Thekla ROCKS her! Thekla then BOOTS Windsor, reels her in, and has the HANGING HEADSCISSORS as Spring Breakthru returns to single picture!
The ref counts, Thekla lets go at 4, and the fans duel as Thekla storms back in. Thekla snapmares Windsor, then winds up to basement SUPERKICK! Cover, TWO! Windsor survives but Thekla is amused. Thekla storms up on Windsor and CHOPS! The fans cheer as Theknla shots, “Women’s Wrestling!” Thekla CHOPS again, then whips corner to corner, only for Windsor to block! Thekla fires shots on Windsor, but Windsor blocks the whip again! Thekla stomps a foot, then whips Windsor, but Windsor reverses and LARIATS! Then Windsor get moving, ducks ‘n’ dodges, redirects, and FLYING SHOULDER TACKLES!
The fans fire up while both are down. Windsor rises up, she has the legs, but Thekla kicks and kicks and kicks again! Windsor staggers, but she dodges to scoop and BLUE THUNDER BOMB! Cover, TWO! Thekla survives but Windsor stays focused. Windsor hauls Thekla up, clinches, but Thekla fights the lift! Thekla CLUBS Windsor, ROCKS her, but Windsor shakes it off with a smile. Thekla gets in Windsor’s face, then ROCKS her! Windsor walks it off, to then fire off a flurry! The fans cheer, but Thekla dodges one to SMACK Windsor again! But Windsor blocks the next to HEADBUTT! Thekla falls, Windsor gets the legs, SHARPSHOOTER!
The fans fire up as Thekla endures! Windsor sits deep on the hold, but Thekla fights her way forward! ROPEBREAK! Windsor lets go in frustration, but she drags Thekla back up. Pump handle and- NO, Thekla still fights the lift! Thekla ducks ‘n’ dodges to tilt-o-whirl, BLACK WIDOW STRETCH! Windsor endures the modified octopus, but she powers up to reach out! ROPEBREAK! The fans cheer while Thekla lets go in frustration. Thekla hauls Windsor back up, but Windsor breaks free, only for Thekla to SOBAT! Thekla runs, but Windsor LARIATS her down! The fans fire up while both women are down again!
Windsor rises, the fans rally, and Windsor goes up! But Thekla hurries to SMACK Windsor! Thekla climbs, but Windsor fights with body shots! “This is Awesome!” as Windsor HAMMERS away on Thekla! Thekla CLAWS Windsor’s face, then sneaks the brass knuckles out! But Windsor blocks the punch to HEADBUTT! Windsor goes up, over, and SUNSET FLIP- NO, Thekla holds on! BRASS KNUCKLE PUNCH!!! The fans boo as Thekla hides her evidence! Thekla then runs up, CURB STOMP!! Cover, Thekla wins!
Winner: Thekla, by pinfall (still AEW Women’s World Champion)
Another fight, another dirty tactic! But in the end, even Windsor fell into the Toxic Spider’s trap! Will anyone ever get wise to Thekla’s tricks? Or will AEW always be toxic?
My Thoughts:
A great Collision, though kinda hard to follow that great Dynamite from last night. A lot of these matches felt like filler, but because it’s AEW, they even make filler go above and beyond. Pac VS Lio was actually the first real display of this “Problem Child” persona that I really liked. Lio got to show more personality, and seeing Pac & Garcia be afraid of Lio really helped sell the character. Great win for Pac, though, and maybe he goes for the TNT title next. Brody, Mistico y Dorada of course won their match, but again, they made the squash match a fun match. Them mentioning Bandido and Supercard of Honor was nice, it means they care about ROH on some level.
Very good opening promo from Cope, but of course FTR had to show up. RPG Vice attacking again was redundant, but The Bucks making the save was a nice change. Makes me think we’re getting an 8 Man Tag, FTRPG Vice VS Cope, Cage & The Bucks, and that somehow leads to the tag title match for Double or Nothing. Great tag match from The Bucks VS The Rascalz, and even a good move for The Dogs to go after those teams. I wonder if The Dogs and even The Rascalz get in on the tag match. Five, maybe even six teams, all fighting for the titles, that’d be awesome stuff for Double or Nothing, and a great way to give The Bucks their historic fourth reign.
Kris & Shida had a very good tag match and of course they won, but I like Mina accusing Shida of being whodunnit. Shida is certainly being two-faced, but who knows if she’ll be chosen as the one who took out Toni Storm. Great Six Man Tag from Conglomeration VS Lethal Twist, and of course The Conglomeration won. Great Continental Championship Eliminator, and great showing for Nick Wayne in his return to Dynamite. I still think he needs more to do with the ROH World TV title, but hey, they could use this to say Nick won some respect from Moxley. The story still feels like Moxley and Ospreay will run it back at Double or Nothing.
And as I figured from last night, Thekla was gonna cheat to win and keep the title. It was a great main event, but there might be something bigger in store for Double or Nothing, like a Triple Threat against both Brawling Birds.
My Score: 8.8/10

PLAY BY PLAY
Renee Paquette is waiting in the parking lot.
She lets us know that AEW Management has been trying to let MJF know for the past three days that Darby Allin has demanded his AEW World Championship opportunity for tonight. A car pulls up, and MJF has arrived! Renee gets his attention, and brings up Darby’s win at AEW Dynasty. MJF stops her there, because he doesn’t get why we’re talking about Darby Allin, the guy he’s beaten three times, and once with a headlock takeover. No, what we’re gonna talk about is THE world champion, the most important champion in all of pro-wrestling today, the guy who has beaten the likes of Bandido, Brody King, Kevin Knight, Mike Bailey!
The man who has made sure that Hangman Adam Page can NEVER, EVER be AEW World Champion again, and the man who kicked out of a One Winged Angel like it was nothing! Honestly, a very ineffective move. A man who beat your boy, “Kenny BAH GAWD Omega,” fair and square in the middle of the ring! Nobody can stop #BigHebrew! But Darby has- Don Callis interrupts and he shakes MJF’s hand! What a match! He destroyed Kenny Omega! Just as Callis knew MJF would. Enjoy it, champ! MJF says Callis is a mench. Not just that, The Mench of the Cench (as in Century). Callis says sorry about the Andrade thing, though, but take care.
MJF asks what Callis means by that. Well, Darby beat Andrade. Wait, what? MJF thought Andrade won. No, didn’t MJF watch the match? NO, he was preparing for his own match! Well, Andrade… MJF stops Don there. He loves Don to death, this isn’t Don’s fault, it’s on his boy. However, now Callis owes MJF one. Now, this isn’t the favor, but Callis does need to tell Andrade on MJF’s behalf that he is NOT ever gonna be championship material because the man doesn’t get the job done when he needs to. MJF reiterates that he loves Don, and he says bye, Renee, he’s outta here. But then Renee shouts at MJF to just listen!
Darby Allin won his match at Dynasty, making him #1 contender, and he wants that match TONIGHT. Does he understand!? What?! Tonight?! When?! Renee chuckles as she says, right now. WHAT THE WHAT?!? MJF is furious, he just arrived! Does MJF even stand a chance? Or has Darby gotten one over on The Devil of AEW?
AEW World Championship: MJF VS Darby Allin!
MJF panics as he shouts, “NO! NO! NO! Cut the music! Cut the gaddamn music right now!!” The fans boo but MJF storms down to the ring. MJF says if the “little emo freak” thinks for one solitary second that MJF is defending his title in an impromptu that he just found out about three seconds ago, then Darby is as stupid as he looks! The fans boo but MJF tells them to shut up! Maybe the people are too braindead to understand how much money MJF has. If he doesn’t want something to happen, it won’t happen! MJF will get his lawyer, he’ll sue “that skank, Aubrey,” he’ll sue Darby, he’ll sue “that pervert, Justin Roberts!”
MJF will sue Tony Khan, sue AEW, sue Warner Brothers, and every single one of these freaks who decide to live in the dumpster fire that is Washington state! The fans chant “Ring The Bell!” MJF mockingly asks back, “Ring the bell? You wanna see the match right now?! Do you wanna see this match?! Too bad! My back hurts from wrestling close to an hour against Kenny Omega only three days ago. Speaking of legalities, I wonder how our company would look if they forced me to wrestle tonight with an injury. That’s not a good look. Darby, I’m gonna go get checked out by the trainers in the back, but frankly, I’m doing you a favor by not wrestling you.”
The fans boo more, MJF’s mic gets glitchy, so he trades with Justin Roberts. MJF says he is doing Darby a favor. Let’s talk the elephant in the room: Darby is very talented, a great underdog, the fans love him! They really do. But the reason they love you is because you’re like them. You’re good, but not great. Like the fans, you’re not championship material. Darby, with love and respect, and MJF does mean that, you’re not ready to be- Darby snatches the mic from MJF! Darby is worked up already as the fans cheer him on. “All it takes is one night to drop the wrestling world’s on its head! If I’m not ready now, I’ll never be ready!”
The fans cheer Darby on as he says, “I kill myself for this company. Monday, I hung posters all around this city. I taped posters all around the city for tonight’s show. I climbed Mount Everest and I hung that flag on top of the world! The scars, the blood, everything! I’m ready! I’ve been ready! My career started ten miles down the road, at the Buddy Wayne Academy. And I took a deep breath my first day of wrestling school, and I said I was either gonna make it as Darby Allin, or I’m gonna fail as Darby, but I’m not changing a single thing!” The fans cheer that, too! Darby says tonight, he climbed to the top of this sport, and he didn’t change a thing! RING THE BELL!
The fans are fired up again but MJF says first off, relax, we’re not doing that. But then BRYAN DANIELSON speaks up! The fans cheer as Bryan tells MJF and Darby that he just got a message right from Tony Khan. And Tony Khan actually agrees… with MJF… It is unfair for MJF to wrestle when he is unprepared. And Max, that is why Tony will give MJF plenty of time to prepare, because this match, this AEW World Championship match, will be in tonight’s MAIN EVENT! The fans cheer that! MJF is furious, because that’s still only 90 minutes! MJF protests, but the fans cheer “YES! YES! YES!” Bryan says if MJF refuses that match, he will be STRIPPED of the title!
MJF is furious, but Darby turns him around to say, “Tonight in the main event, I’m beating your ass with a headlock takeover!” Darby throws down the mic, having thrown down the gauntlet! Will everything come full circle for the Relentless One?
AEW shares footage from after Dynasty.
Tony Schiavone waited outside the trainer’s room and spoke on the amazing night and amazing main event. He has Kenny Omega here, and he says he knows it was a heartbreaking loss. How is Kenny doing? Kenny isn’t sure what to say, he has nothing. He is sorry about that. Schiavone says that’s alright, just take care of yourself. Doc Sampson helps Kenny walk through the door, and Will Ospreay is also getting checked out. Kenny says, “Look at us, Will.” Ospreay feeling okay? Not really. Welcome to the club. Things didn’t go their way tonight. Not one bit. Not how they pictured it. Kenny feels he let everyone down.
Ospreay gets that, but he wants Kenny to think about it. Ospreay was there in the Tokyo Dome back in 2017 when Omega lost to Okada. Omega doubted himself, but he bounced back and climbed up the mountain. Yeah, but that was almost 10 years ago. Omega isn’t sure how much time he has left. But Ospreay does have time. He has the heart of a wrestler. AEW, pro-wrestling, it’s all Ospreay from here on in. Omega believes Ospreay can take it back. Ospreay’s got this. Ospreay says they still have this.
Now, Ospreay is dejected, sad, crying for about the last 40 minutes. But his dream and his ambition are still being AEW World Champion. He hopes Kenny hasn’t given up that dream, either. Omega can do it. Ospreay stands up, says he always has Kenny’s back, and gives him a pat and kiss on the head. Ospreay says Omega’s his hero. They shake on it and Ospreay heads out. Omega thinks on that. Omega is Ospreay’s hero, huh? Then maybe he can’t give up. The Best Bout Machine has a lot to think about, but will he rebuild and redeem himself just as before? Or will it take a bit more than determination to reclaim that former glory?
Tommaso Ciampa VS Dezmond Xavier!
The Psycho Killer wanted “Silvey” back so badly, but despite starting the Casino Gauntlet, he did not win the Casino Gauntlet. Will he fight his way back to a new opportunity? Or will Dez light it up and look for his own golden ticket?
The bell rings and the two circle. They feel tings out, but Ciampa BOOTS and ROCKS and then stomps away at the ropes! The ref counts, Ciampa stops at 4, and the fans fire up. Ciampa BOOT WASHES Dez outta the ring! Then Ciampa whips Dez hard into barriers! Ciampa shoves Dez back inside but the ref has him hold on. The ref checks Dez, Ciampa drags Dez up to wrench and whip. Dez rolls to stop, then he sidesteps Ciampa to run, roll, and UP KICK! Dez dodges again, waistlocks, but Ciampa ELBOWS free! Ciampa then TOSSES Dez out, and KNEES him off the apron! The fans rally while Ciampa shouts, “No more games! I want ALL the gold!”
Ciampa goes out after Dez, then whips him at the steps. Dez handsprings up and over! The fans fire up while Ciampa snarls. Both men slide into the ring, Dez bobs ‘n’ weaves to fire off fast hands! The fans fire up as Ciampa bails out, and Dez builds speed! Dez slides to a stop as Ciampa moves aside. The fans are torn while Ciampa wags his finger, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Ciampa checks his teeth, it seems they’re all there, so Ciampa takes his time goes back to the ring. Ciampa rolls in, only to roll back out, and he grabs a mic to talk trash on Seattle. Ciampa then storms up to the apron, but he just baits Dez into chasing him around the outside. Dez slides in but Ciampa stomps away! The ref counts, Ciampa stops to mock Seattle again, and he hoists Dez up to SLINGSHOT him off the ropes! Dez flops down, but Ciampa climbs up the corner just to tell Seattle, “SUCK IT!” Ciampa drags Dez up, whips him to ropes, then kitchen sink knees! Ciampa flexes as he soaks up heat, then he goes to Dez.
Ciampa drags Dez by the legs, stomps him in the stomach, then stomps him again. Ciampa has the legs, he YANKS Dez from the ropes, then he paces around Dez. Ciampa KNEES Dez in the back, drags him around again, but Dez fires body shots and haymakers! Dez ROCKS Ciampa, whips him to ropes, but Ciampa reverses. Dez ducks ‘n’ dodges, but Ciampa ducks under the crossbody! Dez crash lands, and Ciampa taunts the fans again. Dez SMACKS Ciampa, but Ciampa snapmares Dez into a chinlock. Dynamite returns to single picture as Dez endures. The fans rally as Dez CLUBS at Ciampa from below.
Ciampa pushes Dez down, grinds them down and flexes at the same time. Dez still endures, even as Ciampa puts on the pressure. Dez fights up, up, and fires body shots! The fans rally but Ciampa shoves Dez. Dez ducks ‘n’ dodges to CLOBBER Ciampa again and again! Dez fires fast hands, then a CUTTER! The fans fire up as Ciampa goes to a corner. Ciampa is tougher than that, but Dez drags him around to the drop zone. The fans rally as Dez goes right up top!
Dez aims, and 450- NO, he has to roll through as Ciampa moves! Ciampa ROLLING ELBOWS! Then he reels Dez in, but Dez RANAS! Cover, TWO!! Ciampa escapes, and he runs up, but Dez DUMPS him out! Dez builds speed to DIVE! Down goes Ciampa at the ramp! The fans cheer while Dez hurries to put Ciampa back in. Dez goes back up, FROG SPALSH! Cover, TWO! Ciampa survives again but the fans fire up for Dez! Dez tells Ciampa to get up, then he runs, but Ciampa reels him in! Ciampa back suplexes, but Dez lands out! Dez BOOTS Ciampa, SUPERKICKS, then goes up, up, and leaps, into a JUMP KNEE! The fans fire up while Dez goes down!
Ciampa drags Dez up, reels him in, and lifts for PROJECT CIAMPA! Ciampa isn’t done with Dez, though, as he drags Dez back up. Ciampa takes aim, kneepads down, PSYCHO KNEE!! Cover, Ciampa wins!
Winner: Tommaso Ciampa, by pinfall
Another singles victory for Ciampa, but he demands the mic. “This was the example. Why? Because I’m sick of waiting. I want it all. I came to AEW because this is where the best wrestle, and I want all of the gold. And if I’m not making myself clear… Darby Allin, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, whoever wins… the Psycho Killer is coming for the AEW World title!” Then he PUNTS Dez outta the ring! His shadow knows his story, but will Ciampa’s future be the top of the mountain?
BREAKING NEWS for Collision!
On a special Thursday night broadcast of Spring Breakthru Night 2, we will see the rest of the Rascalz in action as Zachary Wentz & Myron Reed take on The Young Bucks! Will Matt & Nick Jackson keep the momentum going from Dynasty? Or will things still be lit in Seattle? Then Jon Moxley looks to keep his own Dynasty momentum going as he faces the ROH World Television Champion, Nick Wayne! Will The Prodigy live up to that nickname when he earns a shot at the AEW Continental Champion? Or will The Maniac just keep running roughshod through the roster?
Plus, after their successful outing as a team, tense as it was, Kris Statlander & Hikaru Shida are going to do it again! Will #Krishida start a win streak? Or will the cracks in the foundation get worse?
FTR is here!
Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood are still the AEW World Tag Team Champions as they and Stokely Hathaway make their way to the ring. #BigStoke is all smiles as he hands the mic to Dax. Dax says he’s read a lot of the chatter online, he’s heard all the complaints, and it seems to him the fact that FTR has won again makes all of the fans angry. Hey, he gets it, he understands why they’re angry. They love an underdog story! They love an underdog story because they think they can relate to it, they feel they can relate to the underdog. But the fact is, they’re not underdogs, they’re just losers! No, seriously, they’re just losers! Fat losers!
And speaking of losers, FTR gave Adam Copeland & Christian Cage a brush with relevancy, and those two couldn’t get the job done. So Cope, Cage, Dax is talking to you: As long as FTR are the AEW World Tag Team Champions, C&C will never get a shot at these again! Stoke says he has been told that supposedly, all the fans are educated people? The fans chant, “NO HOES!” Stokely says he don’t need hoes, he has the AEW World Tag Team Champions. But before he was so rudely interrupted, he has been told that “the sickos” know everything about everything! They know about pro-wrestling, about sports, about politics, about history, religion!
So then clearly, they all know the story of David VS Goliath! And the two men that Stoke has in this ring, this is Goliath! And he is here to tell us, that there are a lot of Milli Vanillis, a lot of wannabe Davids! From #Brodido to the Bang Bang Gang to even Matt & Nick Jackson and Cope & Cage! Stoke is here to say that every time David steps up to Goliath, he gets b*tched out. Stoke feels there is no more competition here in AEW! Tony Khan will surely do what he does best and go to CMLL or NJPW, sign every CHUD he can to put in the division, but the results will be the same: they all will fall to the giants known as F T R!
Cash says beautifully said, Big Stoke. Now, if the fans would do FTR a favor and please, he’s asking nicely, let them pay homage to the careers of Cope & Cage. Now that FTR has put an end to them, they would like to have a moment of silence. Please, if you would… The fans boo instead. Cash says please, a moment of silence. And then it’s one second. Now, for those of you in attendance with the benefit of flash photography, FTR won’t give you five seconds, they’re feeling generous. They will give you a ten second pose! The fans boo but FTR does their best “Barry Allen over Oliver Queen’s grave” style pose.
The ten seconds are up and Cash thanks Seattle, they’ve been great, have a great night. The fans boo more, but FTR is moving on with the belts. But is there really no team in AEW that can take these #TopGuysOut?
AEW TNT Championship: Kevin Knight VS Claudio Castagnoli!

Knight fights to his feet, fires body shots, but Claudio KNEES low! Claudio back suplexes but Knight lands out! Knight runs up, jumps up, springboard and FLYING ARM-DRAG! The fans fire up, Claudio runs up, but Knight TOSSES him up and out! The fans fire up as Knight aims, but Claudio drags him outside!
Claudio swings, misses, and Knight goes up the apron to LEAPING LARIAT! The fans fire up with Knight and he high-fives the front row, but Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Knight brings Claudio up and into the ring, then pushes him to a cover, TWO! Claudio is tougher than that but Knight nods as he goes to the corner. Knight climbs up, but Claudio trips him up! Claudio ROCKS Knight, then drags Knight up for a deadlift suplex! Claudio huffs ‘n’ puffs before he covers, TWO! Knight proves he’s tougher than that, but Claudio clamps on with a top wristlock! Knight endures as Claudio twists his arm! Knight reaches out, shifts around, and stands up to fire forearms! Claudio scoops to SLAM again! Claudio then runs the ropes for another ELBOW DROP! Cover, TWO!
Claudio argues the count but the count was fair. Claudio looms over Knight, then he clamps on the same top wristlock. Knight endures again, even clasping hands to fight the pressure. Spring Breakthru returns to single picture as Knight fights to his feet. Knight fires body shots, then forearms! Knight scoops but Claudio fights the lift! Claudio scoops to SLAM again! Claudio runs, but Knight avoids the elbow drop! Ghost pin, TWO! Knight hurries to Oklahoma Roll, TWO! Claudio UPPERCUTS Knight to the corner, then storms up for a whip. Knight goes up and over, slides and LEAPING LARIATS! Both men are down and the fans fire up!
Knight rises, he UPPERCUTS Claudio again and again, but Claudio takes a swing! Knight ducks once, but Claudio ROCKS him on the return! Claudio UPPERCUTS, runs, but Knight scoops! Knight SLAMS Claudio after all! The fans fire up for that feat of strength! Then Knight hits a UFO SPLASH! Cover, TWO! Claudio is still tougher than that, but Knight hurries after him. Claudio ROCKS Knight from the apron, goes up the corner, but Knight DROPKICKS him down! Knight then FLIES and wipes Claudio out at the ramp! The fans fire up again as Knight stands tall! Knight drags Claudio up and into the ring, then pounds the apron.
The fans know “This is Awesome!” as Knight runs in at Claudio. Claudio BOOTS Knight, then goes up, but Knight goes to the UPPER- NO! Claudio stops the rana, though he has to step off the corner. But then Claudio powers up to haul Knight back up the corner! The fans go nuts for the SUPER GOTCH NEUTRAL- NO, Knight sits up with core strength! Knight fires off fists, but Claudio throws him away! FLYING UPPERCUT!! Cover, TWO!! Knight survives and the fans are thunderous! Claudio seethes, but he drags Knight up, only for Knight to slip through! Knight kicks, Claudio blocks, and Claudio FLIPS Knight to the apron!
Knight ROCKS Claudio, springboards in, but into Claudio’s arms for a BACKBREAKER! Cover, TWO!! Knight survives again but Claudio drags him right up. Now Claudio has the Gotch hold, but Knight BACKDROPS! Claudio sunset flips it to have the legs for a GIANT SWING! The fans cheer as Knight goes around and around for FIVE, then Claudio steps through. Knight flails to fight it, so Claudio CATAPULTS Knight at the corner! Knight goes right up top! FLYING LARIAT! Knight hurries to climb again, and he takes aim for the MOTHERSHIP SPLASH!! Cover, KNIGHT WINS!
Winner: Kevin Knight, by pinfall (still AEW TNT Champion)
The Jet may have felt like an underdog champion, but he proved he is a rightful champion! Knight gets a mic to say, “Yo, yo, yo! Everett, Washington! Y’all miss me?” The fans cheer for that! Knight says shoutout to Claudio, by far one of the hardest hitting dudes, one of the strongest opponents Knight’s ever had. Give it up for Claudio. The fans do cheer Claudio, and Knight says he won’t let that stop him. The Jet is looking good, feeling even better, as your NEW TNT Champion, baby! The fans cheer for that, too. Knight says before he won this, he did lose the trios titles. Speedball, Knight knows you’re beating yourself up over that, but don’t take it personally, he doesn’t blame you.
And as they say, when one door closes, another one opens. Sometimes you gotta slow down to speed back up, and The Jet is riding high, baby! The fans cheer again, and Knight says tonight, there’s a big one with Darby Allin VS MJF for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship! And well, Knight will keep a close eye on that one, because #Jet2Belts sounds #2Fly! Knight is ready to add even more golden luggage to the flight log, but will his flight plan be headed for The Scumbag from Long Island? Or will it be the hometown hero in Darby Allin?
Renee Paquette is in the ring.
Spring Breakthru returns as she says to welcome the legendary Chris Jericho! The fans cheer as The Demo God, The Ayatollah of Rock ‘n’ Rolla, The Nueve, Y2J makes his entrance. Jericho gets pyro while he struts down the ramp and the fans sing along with Judas. Jericho joins Renee in the ring, and Renee says it is so good to see him, and the fans are sure happy to see him. Jericho fires the fans up more and they chant his name. Renee says maybe not everyone is happy, since last week, Ricochet came out here and said Jericho would be rusty. Clearly, from the match on Sunday, that is not the case. How did Jericho feel his first match back?
Jericho know show he feels being back in Everett, Washington tonight. But he feels so happy to be back in AEW. It was great to be back in the ring at Dynasty. One of his favorite matches in a long time, in front of a great crowd. Even though Jericho lost, he didn’t loss because of rust or overexcitement, it was because he was outnumbered 3v1. The fans agree with that. Jericho still gives credit where credit is due, congrats to Ricochet for probably the biggest win- Oh, well, Ricochet makes his way out here, The Gates of Agony by his side. Ricochet has a mic to tell the fans to sit down, shut up, and listen! The fans chant “BALD!” instead.
Ricochet then tells Jericho that he meant every single word when he said he respects Jericho. And after that valiant performance at Dynasty, Ricochet respects Jericho even more. But Jericho didn’t listen to Ricochet at all, did he? No, he signed his contract and got himself hurt, just like Ricochet said Jericho would. And on top of that, Ricochet had to do it! The opportunity was in the palm of his hand, so he had to take Jericho out with his own move, the Lionsault! Or what will be renamed “The Ricosault.” The fans boo that idea, but Ricochet says he gives Jericho credit, Jericho didn’t completely embarrass himself. He did pretty good, but just not good enough to overcome the rise of Ricochet.
The fans tell Ricochet to STFU, but he says he’ll be out here all night if he wants! But as he was saying, Jericho wasn’t good enough to beat Ricochet, so maybe do yourself a favor and quite now while you’re ahead. Well, unless… Jericho is the king of reinvention. The Lionheart, the guy in the suits with the big words, the Demo God, the light up jacket, we’ve seen it all! So here’s an idea: Jericho becomes the guy who gets his ass beat by The Demand every single week he shows up! The fans boo again, but Ricochet says the fans must like that idea. Jericho can stick around after all and have the best run of his entire career!
Jericho asks Renee to please step aside. Jericho says first off, “The Ricosault?” That’s brutally bad. Secondly, bald. The fans chant “BALD!” But Jericho appreciates Ricochet coming out here, bald, and giving him some insight, because Jericho really respects Ricochet’s opinions, bald. The fans cheer and laugh, but Jericho continues by saying he knows what the game is here, weird shaped head. Ricochet is on stage with his goons, dumb and ugly, and they’re gonna back Ricochet up no matter what it is he says or does, bald. So here’s a proposition for you, bald. Why not leave his goons, dumb and ugly, on the stage, come on down here, bald, and face Jericho 1v1 right here in Everett, BALD!?
The fans fire up for that idea, but Ricochet says don’t think he doesn’t see what Jericho’s doing! He knows what Ricochet’s saying! Jericho doesn’t get to call Ricochet bald, and he’s not afraid to face Jericho 1v1! Well, Jericho feels Ricochet is too scared, and bald, to come down here. Ricochet says fine! Liona, Kaun, stay up here, and no matter what, let Ricochet handle this 1v1. Do not help him no matter what, understand? Ricochet drops the mic, takes off the jacket and the vest, and so does Jericho. Ricochet rushes the ring, Jericho dodges him, and then HIP TOSS! Jericho runs, and he LARIATS! The fans fire up but Ricochet waves to his guys!
Jericho stomps away, GOA run in, but Jericho fires hands! That’s still 3v1, so much for Ricochet honoring the deal! The fans boo, but The Demand let off, only for Jericho to go after them again! Jericho gets mugged again, then they CLOSE THE GATES on Jericho! The fans boo harder but then Ricochet gets an idea. LIONSAULT! The fans boo again, but now The Demand stand tall. Will Jericho have to go back to the drawing board to gameplan a way to defeat Bald, Dumb & Ugly?
AEW shares more footage from after Dynasty.
Renee Paquette found Don Callis & Kazuchika Okada to ask them what happened out there against The Young Bucks. Callis says what happened was that there was a 2v1 situation, two Bucks, one Rainmaker! But then Callis spots Takeshita and confronts him. What happened? The Alpha says that was an accident. Oops. He’s so sorry~! Takeshita mocks Okada, Okada throws his armbands at Takeshita, then insults him in Japanese. Callis says it’s okay, they’re not done, they’ll work this out. But is Callis the one who needs to work out that things aren’t okay in the Don Callis Family?
Will Ospreay VS Hechicero!
The Aerial Assassin told Kenny Omega to keep his chin up, and surely Ospreay is taking his own advice. Will the #BillyGOAT get back on the horse by taking down the CMLL World Heavyweight Champion? Or will the Alchemist of Lucha simply add insult to injury?
But wait, Don Callis makes his entrance. Callis says he has something important to say. And in his horrible Espanol, Callis says, “Todos los personas del Everett, Washington that is muy, muy stupido, from the great country of Mexico…! Es un cabra muy super intendoooooooo~! YO! SOY! HE-CHI-CEROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~!” So it’s been how long and no one has told Don he gets that wrong? That aside, Hechi makes his entrance with new music and more pyro. The bell rings and the fans fire up for Ospreay. Ospreay and Hechi feel things out, tie up, and Hechi puts Ospreay on the ropes. The fans sing “OSPREAY~ OSPREAY OSPREAY OSPREAY~!” while the ref counts.
Hechi and Ospreay go along the ropes, but the ref counts again. Hechi grabs a leg, sweeps the other, then keeps on Ospreay with a toehold. Ospreay grabs at Hechi but Hechi knuckle locks that hand. Hechi ties Ospreay up in a modified figure four, but Ospreay fights up into headscissors! Ospreay hits a twisting rana and has Hechi down! Hechi kicks Ospreay away, Ospreay goes to a corner, and Callis joins commentary, even as fans cuss him out. Osperay and Hechi reset, feel things out, and Ospreay goes for a leg. Hechi steps over, rolls Ospreay, but Ospreay slips around to get the arm. Hechi rolls Ospreay again, TWO!

Ospreay ducks ‘n’ dodges to RANA! The fans fire up while Hechi bails out!
Ospreay gets the fans to join in with “OI! OI! OI!” then he goes to the ropes. Ospreay PLANCHAS and brings Hechi down! The fans fire up as Ospreay stands tall while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Ospreay shakes out his arm, then he stomps Hechi. Ospreay stands Hechi up, throws him into railing, then CHOPS him to the corner. Ospreay ROCKS Hechi, then brings him around, only for Hechi to fire body shots. Ospreay fires back with forearms and UPPERCUTS. They go around the way before Ospreay puts Hechi in the corner. Ospreay warns Callis and even Lance Archer, then he BOOTS Hechi down. Ospreay leads fans in taunting Callis, then he bumps Hechi off buckles. Ospreay climbs up and he rains down fists! Ospreay goes all the way to TEN, but Hechi lifts him off the corner! Ospreay fights free, and WHEEL KICKS Hechi down!
Ospreay drags Hechi around, steps through, and has the FIGURE FOUR! Ospreay shows he can do technical wrestling, too! Hechi endures, even as Ospreay puts on the pressure. Hechi CLUBS the leg, twists the foot, but Ospreay puts on more pressure! Hechi reaches out, and makes the ROPEBREAK! Ospreay lets Hechi go, then stomps him down. Ospreay steps through on the spinning toehold! Ospreay ELBOWS Hechi down, then stalks him to ropes. Spring Breakthru returns to single picture as Hechi fires a body shot, but Ospreay fires a forearm! They trade shots, and Ospreay spots Marina Shafir in the crowd.
Ospreay warns The Problem, but Marina says she’s just here to watch. Ospreay whips but Hechi reverses to duck the kick, and pump handle Ospreay into a modified abdominal stretch! Hechi then scoops Ospreay, but Ospreay slips free and waistlocks. Hechi switches, Ospreay switches, repeat! Hechi hammerlocks and swings Ospreay around, MAD SCIENTIST BACKBREAKER! Hechi then shoves Ospreay to a corner and JUMP KNEES in the back! The fans are torn while Ospreay falls, and Marina acts unimpressed. Hechi covers, TWO! Ospreay grits his teeth as he rises up but Hechi stomps him. Hechi then BOOTS Ospreay to the ropes.
Hechi whips and SPINEBUSTERS Ospreay, then steps through for the spinning toehold! Hechi then steps over to TWIST Ospreay’s arm! Then Hechi pushes Ospreay down for the NECK TWIST! The fans boo but Hechi runs to WERCK Ospreay with the dropkick! Ospreay is on the floor and Marina chuckles. Hechi puts Ospreay in the ring, then hooks up the legs. Hechi CLUBS Ospreay to get the arms, and then he pulls Ospreay back, up, and away! ROMERO SPECIAL! The fans rally as Ospreay endures, but Hechi pulls hair! The ref reprimands, Hechi THROWS Ospreay away, and Hechi stomps Ospreay around.
Hechi CLUBS Ospreay, Ospreay ROCKS Hechi again and again. Hechi KNEES low, then whips, but Ospreay handsprings to NEURALIZER KICK! The fans fire up while both men are down! The fans rally for Ospreay, he reels Hechi in, but Hechi resists. Ospreay fires Kawada Kicks, then a CHOP! Hechi roars and eggs Ospreay on! Hechi even brings down the straps! Ospreay nods, but Hechi blocks a chop, then ducks the rest!
The fans cheer as Hechi kicks low, then whips. Ospreay handsprings the hip toss to ENZIGIRI! Hechi goes to a corner, Ospreay runs up, but Hechi hits the HEADSCISSOR GUILLOTINE! Ospreay writhes but Hechi covers, ROPEBREAK! Callis is furious but that’s a fair, legal move! Hechi rains down fists while Callis distracts the ref with the arguing! The ref reprimands them all, Hechi stops, and the ref wants Doc Sampson to check this. The fans cuss out Callis and boo Hechi while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Doc checks Ospreay, but Marina shakes her head. Hechi puts the straps back up, and Doc checks Ospreay’s arm and shoulder. Ospreay grits his teeth as he manages to stand, but that pain brings him back to his knees. Hechi DROPKICKS Ospreay in the head! The ref reprimands but Hechi drags Ospreay out. Hechi fireman’s carries and hits SNAKE EYES off the barriers! Ospreay falls, now clutching his chin and neck area. Marina feigns concern as the ref has Hechi back off while Doc checks Ospreay again. Ospreay sits up again, perhaps too stubborn about this, but Hechi BOOTS him! Ospreay flounders into the ring but Hechi is right after him!
Hechi clamps on a headscissors squeeze, and he throws down elbows and fists on Ospreay’s head! Ospreay endures, even as Hechi grabs an arm and bends the fingers! Ospreay fights free, fires hands, then runs, only for Hechi to HOTSHOT him into the SLEEPER! The ref counts but Hechi lets go at 4. Hechi argues with the ref, but Ospreay runs back in!
Hechi DUMPS Ospreay out, then builds speed to FLY! Down goes Ospreay at the ramp! The fans fire up with Hechi and he puts Ospreay in the ring. Hechi goes up, up, and casts his spell as he hits the BLINDSIDE FLYING LARIAT! Cover, TWO!! Ospreay survives and the fans fire up again! Hechi suplexes, but into STUN-DOG MILLIONAIRE! Callis says that was good, but the arm doesn’t look good. Ospreay runs up on Hechi, but Hedchi BOOTS him away! Hechi goes up, but Ospreay tucks him in! CHEEKY NANDOS! And then a Canadian Rack, but Hechi fights free! Small package, but Ospreay tips it over! Hechi tips it back, TWO!!

Callis says fine, on to Plan B! What does that mean? Callis says you’ll just have to wait and see. Ospreay stares Marina down, seemingly wanting her to send a message to Moxley. But wait, MARK DAVIS LARIATS OSPREAY DOWN! Plan B is more like Plan D, as in Dunkzilla! COUNT TO PAIN!! The piledriver takes Ospreay down! Will #DangerousDavis prove to be hazardous for Ospreay’s health?
Renee Paquette is on stage.
She says this has been an incredible night for Spring Breakthru, but then Thekla immediately interrupts from… somewhere… with a whiny, mocking, “No~, niet~, nein~!” The Toxic Spider creeps in from up in the crowd, and she tells Renee that Renee looks good tonight. But not a single person here paid to see Renee flap her lips, when the Toxic Spider is in the house! The fans do cheer Thekla, and she says she just wanted to remind everybody that she marched into Dynasty THE AEW Women’s World Champion, and she defeated the great Jamie Hayter. “I beat her ass good!” And then she walked out still the champion.
Y’all better get used to that! Because this industry is filled with nothing but dumb b*tches! But then Alex Windsor storms out on stage to interrupt Thekla! “Did you really think I was gonna let you say that you actually beat Jamie Hayter? No, no, no, and I’m certainly not gonna let you waltz around tonight when I should beat the piss out of you right bloody now!” Thekla says wow, wow, wow. She says the word “dumb b*tch,” and one magically appears! Why is Alex so angry? Don’t blame Thekla that Alex’s best friend lost, or that her husband lost for that matter. Alex tells Thekla that she’s forgetting she’s not the only champion.
You are looking at THE NJPW Strong Women’s Champion, Alex WINDSAAA~! The fans cheer, and Alex asks if Thekla wonders what they say about her in Japan. What do they say in Japan? They don’t call Thekla a champ, they call her the girl who was stupid enough to get herself fired! Oi, oi, oi, mate, chill yer balls, oi! Thekla didn’t get fired. Well, okay, she did. BUT…! Only because they couldn’t handle her, just like no one in AEW can handle Thekla! Oh, nobody can handle Thekla? Okay, alright. Windsor gets in the ring, and says she’ll handle Thekla right now! How about NO~! Alexa says fine, champ, have it your way.
How about Thekla puts that lovely title on the line, and Alex will meet Thekla back here on Collision? Alright, Thekla likes that. But then The Sisters of Sin rush in from outta nowhere! But Alex HEADBUTTS Skye and LARIATS Julia! So much for that sneak attack! Thekla still smiles, then hurries off before Alex can rush the crowd! Will Thekla take out both Brawling Birds in the same week? Or will Alex make herself a double champion?
The Death Riders speak.
Jon Moxley says he actually likes surprises. Someone like Will Ospreay, who he’s known and studied for a long time, doesn’t surprise him. Marina Shafir walks in and Moxley asks how Ospreay looked. Rough? Green around the gills? Oh, yeah. Maybe Moxley has a talent for seeing exactly how all the dominos fall, maybe he just gets lucky, or maybe he just pays more attention. But Ospreay showed Moxley his cards, they were on the table, so don’t get mad at Moxley. Contrary to popular belief, Moxley doesn’t take pleasure in the suffering of others. Though, there can be beauty in it. Moxley prefers life over death, light over darkness, but you don’t get one without the other.
What was that kid’s name again? Nick Wayne. Right, tomorrow is the biggest night of Nick’s life. Continental Championship Eliminator on Collision. Moxley doesn’t know much about Nick, so please, please, surprise him. But this is Continental Rules, adult stuff, for grownups. So please, leave Mommy in the back. Will The Prodigy prove he can man up and do things on his own? Or will Moxley just add him to the long list of names of those who can’t keep up?
AEW TBS Championship: Willow Nightingale VS Kamille!
The Babe with the Power wanted an Open Challenge for Dynasty, but the American Gladiator took a cheap shot as her way of saying hello, she’s back! Willow has had time to prepare for her payback, but will she have it? Or will the “Comeback Killer” be the one taken out tonight?
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see if the Face of TBS will still be smiling!
Kamille tries another cheap shot but Willow dodges! The bell rings as Willow fires forearms on Kamille and backs her into the corner! Willow brings Kamille around, Kamille turns things around, but Willow blocks the buckle bump to SMACK Kamille off buckles again! Willow dribbles Kamille off buckles again and again, and Kamille staggers around. The fans cheer as Willow brings Kamille back around, but Kamille shoves her away. Kamille BOOTS the bad arm, then wrenches the arm to YANK it! The fans rally for Willow but Kamille whips her into a corner.
Kamille runs up but Willow dodges! Willow LARIATS again and again in the corner! The fans count, Willow goes to nine, then short arm- NO, Kamille BOOTS the bad arm again! Kamille snarls as she wrenches the arm and ELBOW BREAKERS! Then a wrench and YANK! Kamille clamps on and CLUBS away on the bad arm! Willow fires body shots, but Kamille YANKS the arm again! Willow goes back to a corner, but Kamille runs up, only for Willow to BOOT her! Kamille snarls, runs up again, but Willow puts her on the apron. Kamille blocks a shot to HOTSHOT the arm! Willow staggers away, Kamille storms up, but Willow CHOPS! CHOPS! CHOPS!
Willow CHOPS in the corner, then fires up with the fans. Willow whips but Kamille blocks it! The bad arm jams, and Kamille WRINGS it out! The fans boo but Kamille soaks it up, and she clamps onto the arm as Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Kamille drops KNEE after KNEE on the arm, then pushes Willow to a cover, TWO! Willow toughs it out but Kamille clamps onto the arm again. Kamille whips Willow into the corner, then wraps the arm around the ropes. The ref counts while Willow suffers, but Kamille stops at 4. Kamille stalks Willow, stands her up, but Willow fires body shots. Kamille CLUBS Willow down, then drags her out to the apron. Kamille SLAMS the bad arm off the apron, then she soaks up the heat. Kamille mocks Willow’s bad arm, then goes back to the ring. Kamille clamps onto the arm but Willow fires body shots. Kamille pushes Willow down to Oklahoma Roll, TWO!
Kamille storms back up, but Willow cradles Kamille! TWO, and both women stand. Kamille wrenches the arm for the ARMBAR DDT! Willow writhes but Kamille covers, TWO! Kamille argues the count, then clamps on with a chinlock. Kamille shifts to an armlock, then ELBOWS away on the arm. Willow fight sup but Kamille CLUBS her back down! Kamille looms over Willow, but Willow kicks from below. Kamille clamps onto the arm again, and with a top wristlock! Willow endures, fights up, and fights around, to then fire body shots! Kamille CLUBS the bad arm again, then CLUBS Willow back down!
Spring Breakthru returns to single picture as Willow whips Kamille away. Kamille goes up, out, and slides under to roll willow up. But Willow avoids the boot to LARIAT! Willow runs to LARIAT again! Willow runs but Kamille LARIATS! Willow rebounds to LARIAT Kamille down! Kamille hurries to her feet while the fans cheer, but Willow dodges Kamille to POUNCE! PERIOD! Willow writhes but Kamille keeps after her!
Kamille scoops Willow, but Willow slips free! Willow shoves Kamille into buckles, backslides her, WILLOW WINS!!
Winner: Willow Nightingale, by pinfall (still AEW TBS Champion)
Another match, another night where Willow snatches victory from the jaws of defeat! Another comeback killed, and we cut backstage to see Kris Statlander & Hikaru Shida applauding. Shida congratulates their great friend on another great victory. Doesn’t Stat agree? Shida interrupts Kris before she can even start, going on in Japanese, then goes back to English to say that last Saturday, Shida & Stat made a great team! Two AEW Originals! Kris keeps wanting to talk but Shida seems to compliment herself in Japanese. Shida says they will keep it going on Collision tomorrow night! She can’t wait! So, see you there, Kris!
Shida leaves before Kris can say anything, but will actions speak louder than words when The Galaxy’s Greatest & The Shining Samurai step back into the ring?
Backstage interview with Darby Allin.
Renee walks ‘n’ talks with the #1 contender, and says this is it: AEW World Championship. The stakes don’t get higher than this. Any last words before he goes out there? Darby wants to say something, but STING is there to see him off! “You ready?” Darby nods and says, “You got anything for me?” Sting says no, Darby already knows what to do, he just has to get out there and do it. Darby nods and fist bumps Sting. It’s showtime. No, not showtime, it’s YOUR TIME, Darby! Now, go take it. The Icon seeds Darby off, are we about to have a Relentless AEW World Champion?

Then another COFFIN DROP!! The fans are thunderous and Darby is all fired up! Darby makes sure MJF is in place for a THIRD COFFIN DROP!! MJF scrambles around but Darby puts him in another drop zone! A FOURTH COFFIN DROP!! Seattle is erupting as Darby hits the headlock takeover! Cover, DARBY WINS!!!
Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (NEW AEW World Champion)
Seattle EXPLODES with celebration! Because yes, Darby didn’t just win, he didn’t just win with a headlock takeover, he won to become THE AEW World Champion!! The locker room hurries out here to celebrate, from The Conglomeration to The Rascalz to The Outrunners, Brodido, JetSpeed, and The Young Bucks! Confetti flies as the pyro goes off on stage! Darby stands tall in his hometown, family and friends here to see it with their own eyes! And of course, IT’S STIIIING~! Sting howls in celebration for Darby and the fans join in! The blood, the glass, the fire, the climb, not just up Mount Everest but in AEW, it was ALL worth it! Will AEW be all in on Darby Allin?
My Thoughts:
An awesome Dynamite to not just be Spring Breakthru but to follow Dynasty. I loved how they played this with MJF and Darby Allin. MJF didn’t pay attention to anything, not even texts and calls form AEW, the entire time he was celebrating his win over Omega, so of course Darby’s challenge caught him off-guard. Now granted, I thought MJF VS Darby was going to be the main event from the start, but Bryan Danielson getting to give that news was a nice way to bring him into this. I know AEW doesn’t like to copy WWE, but there should be a GM to make these decisions. That said, I also love how they played the main event. The takeover as the pinfall was perfect, given the history between Darby and MJF, and what a great moment for Darby to celebrate with all the Faces, Sting included.
Great match from Ciampa VS Dez, and Ciampa wanting right at the top works just fine for him. Ciampa never got to be top champ on WWE main roster, or even compete for it, but he’ll make a great AEW main eventer. Great TNT Championship match from Knight VS Claudio, great win for Knight, and maybe not surprisingly, he again throws his hat into the world title picture. I feel like challengers for the TNT title should be keeping him busy instead, but maybe Ciampa VS Knight establishes a clear contender going into Double or Nothing. Great TBS Championship match from Willow VS Kamille, and Willow getting another win via backslide is good story. Her arm is bad, Kamille is tough, a quick pin teases they could do this again for Double or Nothing.
Very good promo from Kris & Shida right after the TBS title, even with it being Shida talking nonstop and Kris left uncertain about the team-up. They’ll surely win their match on Collision but I feel like the team is already going to fall apart and set up a match that sends one of them after a title. Thekla and Windsor had a very good promo, and setting up a Women’s World Championship match is great stuff. I would think Thekla cheats another win, or at least tries. Jamie Hayter could back Windsor up, only for the Sisters of Sin to complicate things. Not sure what the title match for Double or Nothing is going to be, though…
Great promo from Omega and Ospreay, great match from Ospreay VS Hechicero. It was a little scary when Doc was checking Ospreay’s neck, but maybe that was just them playing up the injury for story. And with Don Callis Family picking on Ospreay again, I wonder if Omega backs Ospreay up and they have another team-up, but against Don Callis Family. Though, that feels like rehashing old material when you think about it. Moxley had a good promo, and pretty clear he’ll beat Nick Wayne, but there might be more with Death Riders and Ospreay. I wonder if there’s a possibility of a Triple Threat Tag, Omega & Ospreay VS Moxley & Claudio VS Mark Davis & Hechicero, just so all stories can be told at once.
And very good stuff with Jericho and The Demand. Another hilarious and brilliant promo from Jericho, but of course he gets beat up 3v1. Again, Jericho either gets another faction going, reunites an old one, or at least has a team-up with someone who also dislikes The Demand. But in the end, we know this will result in Ricochet VS Jericho 1v1 again, Jericho gets his win back, and that compels a tiebreaker. Not exactly the Jericho Vortex but it’s not not the Jericho Vortex.
My Score: 9/10
