WrestleMania Week Media Notes: ESPN Coverage, YouTube TV Glitch and Celebrity Involvement
ESPN will originate extensive on-site studio programming and live events from Las Vegas for WrestleMania week, with SportsCenter, First Take, No Contest Wrestling and dedicated WrestleMania shows broadcasting from WWE World, Toshiba Plaza, Allegiant Stadium and Dolby Live. YouTube TV subscribers currently cannot authenticate the ESPN app in time for the event, with Google working on a fix expected before SummerSlam; meanwhile WWE talent appearances across ESPN include Finn Balor, Rey and Dominik Mysterio, Big E and more, and Joe Jonas is set to perform the national anthem for WrestleMania 42 Sunday. WWE will also stream matches from WWE World on its YouTube channel tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. ET.
Talent and industry notes from WrestleMania week include Becky Lynch discussing wrestlers’ self-sufficiency on outside appearances and CM Punk expressing a more open stance on celebrity crossover, citing Bad Bunny as a standout example. Additional updates: WWE has invited multiple UK and European performers to upcoming tryouts, Oba Femi received a CNN feature ahead of his WrestleMania debut, Santos Escobar requires a second surgery after a setback, and AEW has announced the date and location for Forbidden Door 2026.

WWE Raw Netflix Viewership Holds at 2.9 Million; Global Rank Improves
Tudum reports WWE Raw’s April 13 episode drew 2.9 million global views on Netflix, matching the previous week’s total. The show ranked fourth globally and fifth in the United States on the streaming platform’s charts.
That is an improvement from the April 6 broadcast, which ranked sixth globally, indicating Raw strengthened its relative position week-to-week despite flat overall viewership — a positive sign for WWE’s streaming footprint.

Trick Williams wants Roman Reigns as his WrestleMania world title opponent
Trick Williams has named Roman Reigns as the current WWE star he would most like to challenge for a world title on the WrestleMania stage, calling out the top champion as his dream opponent. The surprising pick underscores Williams’ ambitions to move from rising star to main event player and his eagerness for a high-profile championship opportunity.
A WrestleMania showdown with Reigns would immediately elevate Williams’ status and generate major interest given Reigns’ long reign and prominence in WWE. Whether WWE will book such a marquee clash remains to be seen, but Williams’ public desire makes him one to watch as the road to WrestleMania begins to take shape.
